Rory and Finn were both based in New York for the full week, they spent Monday night together but Rory knew on Tuesday she would have a lot of work left to do that evening so she had told Finn she wouldn't be around. He made plans to see Colin for supper at a local bar. At lunch time on Tuesday she was on the phone with Finn.

"Kitten, how would you feel about me telling Colin about us? Just the us part, not the Leigh Hayden part."

"Are you sure that's a good idea Finn?" She asked while leaning back in her chair at her desk.

"I don't like keeping secrets from him love, and I'm so happy with you I want to shout it from the rooftops."

"What about Logan? I don't think I'm ready for all that."

"Col won't tell Logan not if I tell him not to. Colin loved you Rory, he'll be glad to have you back in our lives. It would be good to have someone on our side when we do tell Logan and I think Colin could be that person."

"Finn I trust you, and if you want to tell Colin then I'm ok with that. I just didn't want you to tell him in case anything went wrong with us."

"Rory, everything is going amazing with us."

Rory released a deep breath she hadn't even realized she was holding at that statement.

"Then sure Finn, go ahead and tell him. Depending when you finish with Colin, did you want to come over for the night?"

"I'd love to Rory."

Rory was about to reply when her assistant came into her office with a file in hand.

"Finn, I've got to get back to work, I'll give you a call tonight."

"Ok I'll text you when I'm with Colin. See you later."

F: Hey Colin, drinks and dinner tonight?

C: Sounds good. Where?

F: Usual place or my apartment? I have something I wanted to talk to you about.

C: sounds important

F: It is.

C: Then get pizza delivered and I'll come to you. See you around seven?

F: Sounds good I'll see you then.

F: Colin should be here soon. I'll text you as soon as we are done. If it's not too late I'll come over. Let me know when it becomes too late.

R: Good Luck, I hope it goes like you think. I'm still at the office right now so I'll be late tonight.

There was a knock at Finn's door. Finn got up to open it and let Colin in.

"Hey mate, how's it going?" Finn greeted Colin as he steps aside to let him in.

"Hey, what's up? I'm hungry, is the pizza here yet?" Colin said walking straight into the apartment heading to the bar to fix himself a drink.

"I ordered it ten minutes ago so it should be here in a bit," Finn retorted while closing the apartment door. "Pour me a scotch will you?"

Colin brought them both over a scotch and set them on the coffee table in front of the couch. They had both taken up residence in each corner of the brown leather oversized couch.

They made small talk about how things were going with work, while waiting for the pizza to arrive. Once the pizza arrived they settled back down on the couch.

"So Finn, what did you want to talk to me about?" Colin started while taking a bite of his pizza.

Finn took a bite, while he thought of how to begin. "Colin what I'm about to tell you I'd appreciate you not discussing with Logan, if that isn't something you think you can do let me know before I tell you."

"What's going on Finn? I won't tell Logan, I haven't seen him in a while, Mitchum and the wife keep him busy."

"Okay," Finn started as he settled further into the couch. "My girlfriend-"

"What about her?" Colin interrupted. "Are you finally going to introduce us?"

"My girlfriend is someone you already know."

"What, who?" Colin sat up straighter.

"On the flight to London, I was seated beside none other than Rory Gilmore."

"What, Reporter girl? Mother?" Colin said, shocked. "Reporter girl is your new girlfriend? How? What? How did that even happen?"

"Yes, Rory's my new girlfriend. We spent the flight catching up over the past five years, then we had supper in London and spent nearly everyday together in London. We ended up traveling together to Scotland and Paris. We got together in Paris and then went to Ireland as a couple." Finn said, carefully watching Colin's face to try and gauge his reaction to the information.

Colins face just conveyed shock and confusion. "Why didn't you tell me when I first asked?"

"We wanted to be sure how it was going, Rory didn't want to cause any breakdowns in my friendships and then have us not work out. She wasn't sure how you would take the news that she was back."

"That's stupid, I'm glad Reporter Girl is back in our lives. I'm shocked she is willing to put up with your ass though" he joked with Finn.

"I was shocked too that she wanted me at first." Finn said through his laughter.

"She is right though. Logan won't take this well."

"He's married. He shouldn't care. He wasted his chance with her and I won't be making the same mistake."

"Yes he's married, but we know his family made that happen. It wasn't love. When can I see her again? Stef will be excited, she'll be glad to have her around again."

"I think we are going to Stars Hollow this weekend to see her family. Maybe we could see you guys when we get back on Sunday for brunch or dinner and drinks? I'll have to check in with Rory and confirm our plans."

"Listen to you, having to check in with the little lady." Colin smirked while laughing at Finn. "Never thought I'd see the day you settled down."

"Me either, but she's special. Everything is so easy with her, it's all just falling into place. Like did you know her apartment is only a block from here? It's a wonder we never crossed paths before."

"Well you never walk anywhere Finn."

"That's what Rory said to! I'm going to text her now and ask about seeing you guys, make a plan while you are here. Do you need to ask Stef?"

"Nope, and I want to tell her about Reporter Girl in person."

F: Colin wants to know if we want to do something with him and Stef this weekend. Friday night or Sunday brunch or dinner? I said it was up to you as we had already made plans for Saturday.

"She was still in the office when I spoke to her earlier so it might take her a while to answer."

"Where is she working anyway?"

"I'll let her tell you that, I have to leave some things for you guys to talk about." Finn's cell beeped.

R: What about Friday night? Late dinner and drinks? Then we could maybe go to Stars Hollow on Saturday and stay over and come back after brunch if that isn't too much for you? I don't want you to think you have to spend all your weekends with me.

"She says how about Friday night? Dinner and drinks?" Finn repeated to Colin.

"Sounds good to me, I'll check with Stef as soon as I get home and send you a text to let you know."

F: Colin says he thinks Friday will work and he will confirm when he gets home. I want to spend as much time as possible with you. Are you still at the office?

"Finn, I'm going to head home. I have a breakfast meeting in the morning." Colin said while standing up.

"Okay, well let me know what Stef says about Friday night. I'll see you soon mate." Finn says while walking him towards the door.

As he closed the door his cell beeped again.

R: I'm just walking in the door right now. Is Colin still there?

F: He just left Kitten, would you like some company?

Finn replied to her with a smile.

R: Maybe, do you happen to know of any exotic sexy men that might be willing to be my pillow?

F: I think I know a volunteer for the job. I'll be over in fifteen minutes?

R: Sounds good, I'll see you soon. X

Friday night arrived and Finn picked Rory up from her place. They were meeting Colin and Stef at the restaurant.

"Rory you look amazing," Finn said as he greeted her with a kiss. He wasn't exaggerating, she was in a little black dress that looked like it had been made for her, it hugged everything in all the right places while leaving most things to the imagination.

"Thanks Finn, I was worried as I only got back from the office half an hour ago, my last meeting ran long." Rory said as she finished putting her earrings in. "can you help me with the necklace?" She said handing it to him and turning automatically.

"Of course Kitten." He took advantage of the opportunity to nuzzle her neck and lay some gentle kisses there.

"Aw Finn, don't, that feels too good and we don't have time before we have to meet Colin and Stephanie."

"Okay I'll behave," Finn replied with a pout, "but later you are all mine."

"Believe me, I will hold you to that." She said giving him a kiss on the cheek as they walked out the door.

Rory and Finn walked into the restaurant hand in hand.

"Reservation for Morgan?"

"This way sir the rest of your party has yet to arrive." The hostess said as she led them to a secluded table for four.

Finn pulled out Rory's chair and then pushed it on for her once she was seated and gave her one more kiss on her cheek before sitting down next to her.

"Finn What if they don't want to deal with me again after Logan or think I'm just working my way through the group."

"Rory, kitten, they love you, it will be fine, trust me." He grabbed her hand under the table to continue to stroke the back of her hand with her thumb.

"I hope you're right Finn," she replied leaning over to give him a quick kiss.

Colin and Stef arrived at this point.

"Wow, I didn't actually know whether to believe Finn or not, but wow it's true! Reporter Girl we've missed you!" Colin exclaimed as they reached the table and he leaned down to kiss her cheek.

Rory got up to greet Stephanie with a hug. "I've missed you all as well, it's been a long time."

"Rory I'm glad to have you back, I need someone to help keep these pair in line." Stephanie joked.

"We can hear you!" Finn responded.

"I know, it's still true," Stephanie responded, sitting down.

"Have you ordered anything yet?" Colin asked, picking up the drink menu.

"Nothing mate, we just sat down two minutes before you. Wine for the table ok?" Finn replied.

"That works for me." Both girls replied.

"Jinx, Oh Rory I've missed you,'' said Stephanie while laughing. "So how did this happen?" she asked, gesturing between Finn and Rory.

"We bumped into each other on a flight to London, we were actually seated next to each other, so we caught up and watched some movies together. Then we did dinner and a show in London, and ended up having dinner or drinks together every night while we were both in London. We met up in Edinburgh again and stayed in the same hotel there, from there we actually went to France for a night. While we were there we ended up getting together, and so we travelled to Ireland for five days together." Rory rambled it all out in one breath.

"Breath Kitten," Finn said, giving her hand a squeeze, he knew her nerves had her rambling a bit more than normal.

"Wow that's a lot of information to get in a minute," Stephanie laughed.

"Where did you go in France? I think Finn said Paris the other night," Colin asked.

"We, eh, went to Disneyland," Rory replied.

"Sorry I don't think I heard you right," Colin responded.

"We went to Disneyland, buttercup. To visit Mickey and Minnie." Finn stated seriously. "It was honestly a ton of fun, we will have to visit all the others now. You could come with us Colin, you need some fun in your life."

"Seriously? Disneyland?" Colin asked.

"Yep, and it was awesome." Finn responded proudly. "Rory had never been to the Paris one, and wanted some company so I offered to go with her. I was skeptical as well at first, but it really was a great day."

"Colin stop sounding like such a stick in the mud," Stephanie interjected. "I think it sounds like fun, we should try it."

"I promised Finn I'd take him to either Disneyworld or Disneyland California. Maybe you guys could come with us?" Rory suggested.

"Labor Day weekend is coming up, we could maybe organise something for then?" Finn suggested.

"We can all think about it, nothing needs to be decided tonight," Stephanie said, knowing she would need time to talk Colin into it.

"So Stef, how's the wedding planning going?" Rory started.

As the girls started a side conversation, Colin took the opportunity to observe Finn and Rory. He was starting to understand the match more now he could see them together. They seemed to gravitate to each other, and each had to be constantly touching the other one, little hand grazes, tucking hair, kissing cheeks and temples. Colin had never seen Finn like this with anyone, and he was a little amazed that Finn played the part of attentive boyfriend so well.

The guys spent dinner on business talk and the girls on wedding talk. Rory had one ear in the guys business talk, but she was trying to avoid getting into the fact she was now owner of a firm that competed with what will eventually be Colin's firm.

After dinner they all went to a club nearby so they could dance and have a few more drinks.

"So Rory, Finn said you live near him?" Colin asked, after they were all seated in the VIP section, with scotch for the guys and cocktails for the girls.

"Yes, about a block away from him."

"But she's closer to the park than me," Finn said with a pout.

"Poor baby, you need to swap penthouses?" Rory said, pinching his cheek.

"No its all good, you have the better view and the comfier bed, so ill just keep staying there instead."

"What did you guys do, sleep in both to see whose bed was better?" Stephanie laughed at their antics.

"Well duh, how else would we know?" Finn replied to her, as Rory openly laughed.

"Oh Colin, you should see your face," Rory said.

"I'm not used to this side of Finn."

"He's actually very romantic and-"

"Now Kitten no need to ruin my reputation," Finn said, covering Rory's mouth with his hand to stop her talking. "Ow! You bit me!" he said, shaking his hand.

"Sorry Finn but what other way did you think that would end?" she laughed, as Colin and Stephanie joined in with her.

The night continued like that, the foursome were happy to be together again, they danced, laughed and drank until the small hours of the night, when they finally called it a night. They parted ways promising to meet up again soon.
