Bella pov

Again Edward looks over to Renesmee, I assume to read her thoughts. "Are you hungry?" He asks her concerned.

I slap my forehead, of course, she's hungry, she hasn't had blood in a few days now. She nodes her head in slow modesty, but I could see her hunger. "Mom we should go home then right?"

"Why?" Everyone asks simultaneously and nervously.

Renesmee looks at me slightly embarrassed but I tell everyone, "Renesmee can't really do the whole animal blood thing yet, so for the time being it a human blood-"

This time Edward cut in, "She is worried about you not liking her because of it and that she doesn't want to make any of you uncomfortable."

"Renesmee!" Everyone mock scolds at the same time.

Esme says, "Sweetheart, although many of us haven't had the pleasure of getting to know you yet, we love you no matter what. Please never be ashamed in front of us."

Carlisle comes forth this time, "I have two bags of A upstairs that you can have if you want?"

Renesmee looks at me for validation and I nod encouragingly. "Carlisle, do you mind going with her, I struggle still to be around human blood."

"Of course!" He looked thrilled and Renesmee followed eagerly behind him up the mahogany staircase.

"Why don't we go for a walk Jazz?" Alice asks her husband. He nods stiffly, and they make their way out of the house.

Esme too left with the couple, leaving Rose, Emmet, Edward and I in the living room. A silence consumed us then and a stillness that could only be achieved by vampires swept over the room. "You know you really hurt my brother when you left," Rosalie spat.

"Rose!" Edward growled.

"I know," I sighed.

"Bella you have to know I never stopped looking for you and loving you and missing you. I was never angry or upset because I knew you would have had your-"

"Edward," I cut in, "I know I hurt you. And you should be mad. I want you to be mad at me. I probably could have thought of something better than up and leaving my family without an explanation."

"But Bella you don't understand," Emmet said smoothly, "We all hurt when you left. Not just Edward. Carlise and Esme lost two children that day, and the rest of us all lost a sister."

"I'm so sorry." If I could still cry, I would be sobbing.

Emmet continued speaking, "But that doesn't mean we were ever mad at you, we were hurt and sad, but that all came from love, not anger."

I pushed my face into Edwards's neck breathing in his scent and trying to calm myself down.

However, we all quickly heard the heavy footsteps of Renesmee coming back down the stairs. Her cheeks were tear-stained and her mouth still slightly red, and her eyes bloodshot. "Come here baby," I cooed. She let the sobs free and sat in between Edward and me. Burring her face in my lap, while I hugged her tightly and Edward rubbed her back.

From the look on Edwards's face, he was reading her thoughts right now. And at this moment, for once, I did not envy his gift.

Eventually, the crying stopped though. And her body fell into an even breathing rhythm. "I can put her in my room to sleep," Edward whispered.

"You have a bed?"

"We had to keep up the human pretences in case anyone of Carlise's colleagues came over."

I noded. He could read me without having to read my mind. In other words, 'No Bella, I didn't sleep with anyone while you were gone.' I mean, I would have understood if he did. I was gone and he couldn't have been sure if I was ever coming back. "Okay," I smiled weakly.

He effortlessly picked up Renesmee and walked off in the direction of his room. The way he looked at her with so much paternal love, was making my heart burst. All I ever wanted for us was a big, happy family. Now she can have that. And whatever Aro throws at us, we can face together. And I realise that now.

Once Edward returned, so did the rest of the family. He said, "So she really doesn't like feeding huh."

I shake my head, "She really doesn't like that she can't wien herself onto animal blood. She feels like a murderer when she consumes the human stuff, which means she tries to eat as much human food, and while that can sustain her as much as blood, after a week or two of the diet, the bloodlust takes over completely and she loses all control. So now she fed every few days so that we don't have any incidents. Again."

"Again?" Alice asks.

I nod slowly, "When she was born, as I'm sure she showed you, she killed the lady who had been with me before she bit her way out of me. We're not sure how became a vampire since she isn't venomous, but we think that when she bit me the first time, she may have had enough venom for one bite then it left her system, but we really aren't sure. But since her bite had no venom, when she drank from that lady, she was dead, forever. Then there have been some other incidents on our trips when she was younger and lost her temper once or twice. I when she would starve herself of blood too long."

"I read her thoughts after she came back down the stairs with Carlisle. She seemed...broken."

I squeezed Edwards hand harder and he nuzzled into my hair. "So where do we go from here?" Rose asked abruptly. "Because I'm not letting you or my niece leave again." While her later statement was said forcefully, I could see the love behind it.

"Well, I'm not sure. Renesmee and I might have to move on because we messed up with the whole last name thing here. I was switching between Swan and Cullen to stay off any radars-"

"You're not leaving us again," Edward said strongly.

I leaned in and kissed his temple, "I don't think I even could," I murmur. "I just don't exactly know what to do about that specific fact."

"Well it shouldn't be that much of a drama," Carlisle interjected. "And if people start to become curious, we can just say you and Renesmee are daughters of my sister in law who passed away?"

"Okay, but I don't want to ruin the life you guys have gong on here-"

"Bella. You clearly don't even understand how complete you've made this family by coming back, do you?" Esme said sweetly.

"Thank you," I replied.
