Renesmee
I was upstairs playing monopoly with mom dad and all my uncles and aunts. Dad, mom and I teamed up, and dads ability had us currently in the lead. After a while, I started to put holes in Alice's vision. Carlisle thinks that because Alice has been a vampire and human she can see the future of both species. But because I'm both and she's never experienced that, she can't fully experience my future.
But the game took a drastic turn when a juicy human walked into the house with Grandpa Carlisle.
I don't remember the last time I fed, but now would be better than ever. At vampire speed, I race out of the room making it halfway down the stairs before dad holds me back kicking and screaming. "Who's this?" The man asks.
With every breath he took, I could feel the pulsing of his heart like it was my own. "Dad please!" I screeched.
"That's my niece Renesmee, she's practising for a play right now with my son Edward. Son, perhaps you could practice upstairs."
"Sorry Carlisle," he grunted pulling me back, "Bella!" Dad called. And mom ran down at a human pace clearly aware of the human as well. But I could tell the second she locked eyes on him she smelt it too. Hopefully, dad would be so distracted by mom he forget about me for even a second and I could sink my teeth into this guy.
"Bella," he grunts again, holding mom and me back, while the yummy guest in front of us watches confused.
"And that's my daughter Bella," Carlisle responds directing the guest to the kitchen.
Dad hands me off to Emmet who takes me away with a lot more ease to Carlilse's make-shift hospital. In the fridge were 30 bags of blood. With difficulty, Emmet took one out and gave it to me and I tore into it with my teeth.
Bag after bag until there were 8 empty on the floor. How am I such a terrible person? I start to sink to the floor and cry. I probably embarrassed Carlisle in front of his colleague. I made this difficult for mom. I ruined family game night. And made uncle Emmet probably watch the most excruciating thing.
"It's okay," Emmet soothes me and rubs my back.
The door opens, and while I expected it to be mom and dad, in walked grandma Renesmee. That's when the real tears started, and she crushed down in the floor and took me into her arms. "Let it out sweetheart," she cooed into my hair.
"I'm so sorry," I sobbed
"Grandpa's not mad," she breathed softly.
"Well he should be. And so should everyone else. I ruin everything."
"No you don't. Emmet go get Edward and Bella."
"I'm the reason that the Voltaire is going to kill everyone of you. And I'm the reason that Dog is moping out on the front lawn."
"Renesmee, nobody is going to die. Do you here me?" She tilted my gaze to meet her own.
I nod unconvinced. I can hear your parents in Edwards room if you want to go see them now.
Inside dads room, mom was hunched over on the bed while dad held her in an embrace which physically couldn't have had her any closer. Only when they turned to face me could I see the deer on her lap that she was draining the life out of while dad rubbed her back.
Ashamed, she dropped the animal to the floor and wiped her mouth with the corner of her sleeve, "Come here, sweetheart."
"Sorry," I mumble as I curl up between them.
Mom scoffs, "Please, I'm supposed to be much more controlled than you and your dad even had to hold me back."
"I'm sorry for it all," I clarify softly.
"Do you think you're up to meeting Grandpa's friend downstairs?" Dad asked softly.
"Yep, sure. What about mom?"
"I'm fine, you and your dad will be there."
"Why does he smell so good though?" I ask distractedly.
"He's a forensic pathologist. He's around blood and dead bodies all day."
"Come sweetheart. We'll go meet him, and if at any time you feel uncomfortable we'll go. Okay?" Mom asks.
I nod slowly in response.
