The aftermath
Ethan had been relocated to Tokyo Japan, he was moved there with Donna so he could keep watch of her. Chris wasn't too fond of the idea but after a bit of nagging, he agreed. They were moved to a normal two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Ethan didn't mind the place and just hoped that he didn't have to go through any more trouble, Rose didn't seem to care as long as she was with her dad. Donna was completely silent and stayed in her room all day.
Cutting to the present
Ethan was in the kitchen making dinner and Rose sat on her baby chair by the counter, Donna like always was nowhere in sight. come to think of it he hadn't seen Angie at all during the relocation process
"Maybe that's why". He went to his room and looked inside his backpack, he pulled out the book with a sun and crescent moon emblem on it and started to read it.

After reading the passage Ethan had a clue on what was going on. She had all her dolls destroyed and has locked herself in her room to stop any stimuli from giving her another panic attack.
He went back to the kitchen and put the food on two plates, he also got some can't food from the fridge and fed it to Rose. he picked up a plate and walked over to Donna's room, he knocked a couple of times, no answer.
" Hey, I made dinner, I'll leave the plate at the door" After setting the plate down Ethan went back to the kitchen and ate his meal. while chewing he pulled his phone out and searched for doll stores nearby. He found one and decided to go tomorrow. finishing his plate he washed it and picked Rose up.
"Okay Rose it's sleepy time" he carried her to her bed and laid her down."sweet dreams"
The next day
Ethan was at the Doll store and was looking around for one. A certain doll piqued his interest; it had curly dark brown hair, a Victorian-era dress, and a bonnet of the same era. He picked the doll from its display and brought it to the front.
"How much"
"110,000 yen" (that's roughly one thousand American dollars) After hesitantly purchasing the doll he made his way back home. After arriving he set the bag down and went to check on Rose.
Later that day he came up to her room and knocked
"Hey I have something for you, could you open the door?" He heard the door click and walked inside, keeping the doll behind his back. He walked over to her.
"Look I know you're upset your house and dolls were destroyed so I got you a new one" he pulled the doll out and handed it to her, she accepted it and set it on her desk.
" well, I'll make my way out, let me know if you need anything" before he could turn to leave she had sprung from her chair and enveloped him in a hug, for the second time since they met she said two words "thank you".she let go of him and he made his leave.
The first thing
After gifting her the doll Donna was a little more social with him and occasionally left her room but she never let go of the doll Ethan gave her.

Ethan had finally done it, he had saved Rose, he stood there staring up at the megamycete as he turned his attention to the detonator " goodbye" he pushed the button and saw his life flash before his eyes as his surroundings burst out in flames.
He fell into death's arms as he accepted his fate suddenly like he was pushed back to life, he was back where it all started on the couch with Mia at his side and Rose in her arms. 'Could it have been a dream? No, it was too real. In that case, what am I doing back here? ' he decided to play along "don't you think it's a little too scary for Rose I mean she's only two months old" he got the same response from Mia. 'I really am going through this again' he carried Rose up to their room, he whispered "don't worry I won't fail you this time" after laying her down and turning on the baby cam. He went back downstairs, going through all the things he did before.

Ethan had managed to cheer Donna up by buying her a couple more dolls once in a while to not go bankrupt off of dolls.
While chilling on the couch Ethan received a call, it was from Chris
"Ethan I trust you're doing fine"
"As fine as I could be doing"
"Good to hear now listen closely we need to make sure the Bioweapon under your watch is not able to spread her infection so I'm going on a need you to get a DNA sample from her"
"I'll try my best, talk to you later" after hanging up the call he started thinking of ways to get DNA.he could always get a swab and put it in her mouth but he would prefer a more subtle approach. he couldn't think of any(i couldn't think of any) so he decided to go with the first option.
