A/N: Hey guys! This chapter is shorter than I normally write but in my defense it was also harder to get out. I've got two more chapters to write and then this story will be complete. Hope you enjoy.

Chapter 22

Rory POV

Once Logan and I got through the engagement party, I knew that we had to find a venue so that we could set our wedding date. Everywhere that Mom had looked at, she said that she couldn't see Logan and I getting married at. My classes had been canceled for the day, so I decided to spend the day looking at venues on my laptop.

I guess that I had been really wrapped up in it, because I never heard Logan come home. I didn't know that he was home until he closed my laptop. I looked up at him. "What'd you do that for?" I asked him.

"Ror, I've been home for an hour. You haven't looked up once. What are you working on?" He asked me.

I let out a sigh. "I'm sorry. Mom hasn't been able to find a venue that she can picture us getting married at, so I've been looking up venues trying to see if I could find…something." I said.

Logan nodded and handed me a cup of coffee. We'd had to order coffee from Amazon because we could find a single brand of coffee in London that I liked. "It's okay." He said walking over and sitting beside me on the couch.

"How was your day?" I asked him.

"It was okay. Honor's coming next week so I offered her one of the guest bedrooms." He said and I looked at him curiously. "She's coming to help with the staff. I feel like there's some staff personnel that we probably need to fire." He told me.

"Well, maybe it won't be all that bad." I told him.

"Maybe. Have you decided when you'll head back during the holidays?"

I shook my head. "Not yet. They haven't sent out the holiday class schedule yet, so I'm waiting to get that before I make any plans." I told him. He knew that I wanted to fly home some during the holidays so that I could get some wedding plans done. We knew that it was going to be hard trying to plan the wedding from across the ocean, which was why my mom had offered to help.

"Well, as soon as you know let me know." He said.

"I will babe. What are we thinking for dinner?" I asked.

A week later, the holiday schedule had been sent out. It didn't take me long to figure out when I could be flying back to Hartford to work on wedding plans over the holidays.

Before I knew it, Logan and I were flying to Hartford. He'd said that he wanted me to get situated since I'd be in Hartford until after Christmas. I kept trying to make sure that he was okay with me staying in Hartford for that long. He told me that he didn't have a problem with it, especially since James and Steph had moved out of the townhouse.

Our wedding was in six months June 15th, so I had a lot to get done. While Logan had been in Hartford with me, we decided to look at a couple of venues together. After looking at several venues, it occurred to me that there was only one place that I could picture Logan and I getting married. It was my favorite library at Yale. We'd gone through the appropriate channels and had been able to reserve the library for the date that we wanted for our wedding. I was so afraid that we weren't going to be able to find a venue that I'd be happy with.

Once we had the venue organized, I was able to start working on other plans. I'd managed to find my dress, get the girls in for the bridesmaids dresses, I was able to get the save the date cards and the invitations, and Mom was able to help me figure out the flowers. Once I had the majority of the wedding plans done, I realized that it took a huge weight off my shoulders. I quickly got the save the date cards addressed and sent out.

It was a few days before Christmas and even though I was still mad at them, I decided to call Steph and meet for brunch at the club. I didn't want things to be awkward with the entire family getting together for the holidays. She agreed to meet me. While I was getting ready I decided to call Logan. "Hey babe." He said when he answered the phone.

"Hey. You sound exhausted." I told him.

"I am. I've been putting in extra hours while you're gone so that I can take next week off. Then when you come home I'll be able to fly back with you." He said.

"Sounds like a plan. So, I called Steph. We're meeting at the club for brunch." I told him.

"I think it's a good idea." He said.

"You do?" I asked.

"Yeah. I know that they hurt and upset you but at some point you're going to have to forgive them at some point." Logan said.

"I know your right. When does your flight get in?" I asked.

"I'll be there by dinnertime." He said.

"Good."

After meeting Steph for brunch, things were better. She'd explained that James hadn't wanted everyone to know at first because they'd assume that Steph was pregnant. I could understand that, and I told her as much. Didn't make the hurt go away but it did lessen it. Logan was flying home for Christmas and the after New Year's we'd fly back to London. The wedding was on track. And I was planning to talk to Logan about selling the townhouse and buying something different. Hopefully everything would go the way that I wanted it.
