"Hey Mono…"

"Yeah, Six…"

"I've been wondering for a while... When are you gonna ask me to be your girlfriend?"

"…Uh…"

Time Flies, doesn't it?

...

It's been a very long time now. Six has completely stopped in writing on her diary. They've both spent all the past time together, never leaving each other's sides. They've learned even more things about each other. And even as time went rolling on, the two had just been as close as they were before... possibly even closer.

They've spent their time mostly by going around the forest, and meeting their friend fluffy, who is still alive and healthy. They messed around in the forest, in the fields, in the lake, in the river, in the flowerbeds… Still then, they couldn't help but periodically check at the city. It was growing again, and looked better and better every time they took a visit, and looked at it from afar. They couldn't shake the feeling of the need to come back there at some day… But not today, they always thought.

They lived happily, and never felt like they needed something else. Food, home, clothes, and each other… It just really felt like they needed to go back to society. Maybe they will go back to the city some day, they thought too. That doesn't matter right now, however. That was still only in the future, and they were still in the present.

"I guess I should do it today, then…" Mono said out loud, giving the girl a grin. Six furrowed her eyebrows, looking confused. "I don't have a ring made of any diamonds… But I know that isn't important to you…" He looked at the girl, letting go of her. She was sitting on his lap, while he sat at the stump they always ate in. Six looked as the boy reached for something on his pocket. "The truth is… I've also started to think the same… When will I ask you…" Mono had a smile on his face, finally able to pull the object that he was reaching for.

"To be my girlfriend…" He pulled out a stone ring, covered by colourful flower petals. Six let out a surprised gasp. It wasn't shiny… It didn't look expensive… But it was beautiful. A small flower made from the petals of a yellow rose placed on middle… It was a unique ring that no one else had ever made. "Six…" The boy proudly stood up, facing the girl, who was also standing up. She held her palms together, covering her mouth.

"Will you…" The boy kneeled down. "Be my girlfriend..?" He finished, showing the stone ring that he made. Six kept silent, still looking taken aback. Tears slowly began to fall off her eyes. "Geez! You're only asking me to be your girlfriend..! What's with kneeling!" She burst out in laughter, tackling the boy to the ground with a hug. "Of Course! Of Course I will!" She happily yelled at the boy's ears, though he didn't mind it one bit. "haha! I'm glad!" Mono returned her hug, making sure to tightly grip the ring, and not let go of it.

The two stood in front of each other. Mono opened his palm, and picked up the ring again. He looked at Six with a smile one more time. Finally, he lifted up the girl's hand, and inserted he ring…

It fit perfectly…

Mono and Six happily looked at each other, giving one another a kiss on the lips…
