Third Person's POV

Sakura didn't get any sleep last night. The bags under her eyes were big and dark like back when she was in college and she would stay up late finishing assignments. Millions of questions are popping in her head from yesterday. 'What did the silence mean? Was he shocked that I said that? Was he mad? Am I pushing him? Does he not want to get married?'

"Sakura?"

'Maybe I should call him. I don't want this to ruin our relationship. But what if he doesn't want the same future as me?'

"Sakura?!"

'I fuck up big time. What was I thinking? I need to talk to him. Tell him it was just a spur of the moment thing. He'll believe that, right?'

"SAKURA HARUNO!" Tenten's shout woke Sakura and everyone in a 10 mile radius up. Sakura turns to Tenten who's two eyebrows are so scrunched they look like one eyebrow. She is in a firey stance and looks ready to smack Sakura as soon as she speaks. Tenten's dominant stance and presence makes Sakura feel like a little puppy while Tenten is a wolf.

"Ye-yes, Tenten?" she says innocently.

"Don't act like that Sakura! You have been behind the counter for the past hour staring off into space, while I have been working my ass off trying to take care of my tables and the ones YOU are supposed to take care of!" Sakura stares down at her feet making her pink locks fall in front of her face.

"I'm sorry." Tenten sighs and relaxes her shoulders. Sakura's whole body is slumped, and she doesn't have the big bright eyes she normally has. Now her eyes look dull and tired, which Tenten finally notices.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sakura looks up at her.

"I may have said the wrong thing." Sakura then tells her about everything that happened with her and Gaara yesterday. When she mentions the silence and Gaara abruptly leaving, she almost breaks into tears, but keeps herself together so she doesn't make a scene. " He said he would talk to me later, but I haven't heard from him since. Tenten, what should I do?" Sakura's eyes are pleading, hoping to get an answer from Tenten, but she doesn't know what to say.

Tenten puts her hand on her forehead to think. Once she gets her answer, she puts her hand back down to her side and sighs. "Look Sakura. I don't really know what to say. Maybe you said something you shouldn't have said. Maybe you're overacting. But it's obvious you aren't gonna be able to get any work done with this still on your mind, so go out back and call him. Figure this out. I will cover for you." This shocks Sakura. It's surprising to hear Tenten talk so maturely and calmly. She is either extremely jumpy, or extremely irritated. Always loud, never calm.

"Thank you Tenten. This won't take too long. I promise you I will make it up to you."

" I like macaroons."

Sakura runs to the back room and opens her locker. 'I just need to call him and apologise. It's gonna be fine. Everything is going to be-'

Gaara: I think we should break up

Later

Sasuke's POV

This was a bad idea. What was I thinking? Going on a date, this is HORRIBLE! We have only had the appetizers and I already want to leave. Karin keeps giving these creepy looks, that I think she meant to be seductive. Damn Naruto! Next time I see him I'm gonna kill him for giving me his disturbing cousin's number and giving me hope. "I'm going to go to the bathroom," says Karin. Probably to go put on even more makeup to her already caked face.

Finally she's gone. This is my chance to escape. I get up from my reach for my jacket when I notice something. The woman sitting at the table next to mine is staring at me. She has long dark blue/purple hair, and big white eyes. I have never seen that kind of color before. Her face shows disappointment. She probably realizes what I am doing. "Are you leaving that woman alone?" she asks. Yep, that's exactly what I am doing, but I can't say that without sounding like the biggest ass on the planet.

"I...uh..." Her face becomes even disappointed.

"Even if you don't like her you should at least stay for the rest of your date. Imagine how she would feel if she came back and saw you are gone. That would hurt her and her confidence. You should think for a moment before you do this." Why are you butting into business that isn't yours. Damn it. I place my jacket on the back of my chair and sit back down.

She's right. I should at least stay for dinner. Besides, Karin would probably call Naruto saying that I left her in the restaurant, and I don't want to deal with that. I then hear a high pitched voice attempting to sound cute."I'm back! Did you miss me?!"

"Hm." This is going to be a long night.

I finally escaped! Finally home. I rip the stupid tie I was wearing for the date off and plop on the couch. "Hey you bastard." I turn to see my best friend holding two beers. He was watching Sarada for the night. "How was the date?" My face says it all. "That bad huh?" He hands me one of the beers and sits next to me on the couch. "Sorry man."

"Where is Sarada?"

"Sleeping." Naruto takes a sip of his beer. "What did you say to Karin after the date?"

"I told her it was nice to see her again and that I would see her at your next Halloween party." Naruto chuckles and takes another sip. I do the same.

"Yeah, I should have known that you two wouldn't go well together." Naruto continues to talk and places his feet on my coffee table. "I appreciate you staying through the whole thing though. Most of her dates don't last for an hour." I can't help but smirk. I take another sip of my beer and Naruto finishes his. "Well, I won't bother you anymore." He gets up and places the bottle on the counter."See you."

"Are you sure you should drive? You can stay on the couch."

Naruto starts to put on his jacket and says,"Nah I'll be fine. Besides, I have to get up early tomorrow. Tell Sarada I'll beat her at Battleship next time."

"I doubt that."

"Hehe, I'll get her one of these days. See ya."

I walk into Sarada's room to make sure she is safe. Her room is small and very pink. Her bed sheets are light pink with bunny faces on them. Next to her bed is a nightstand with a box of tissues and a radio clock that has girly stickers all over it and says 11:24 pm. In the corner there is a small desk with a small plant she got at school in a pot she painted. In the other corner was her closet filled with a small amount of clothes and the only toys she has, which is not a lot. Next to that closet was a poster of the solar system. For some reason she is starting to become obsessed with it. In the final corner of her small square shaped room is a stack of books. Some mystery, some fantasy, and a few romance.

Sarada is fast asleep in her bed on her side, clutching a stuffed bunny she has had since she was a baby. Her blanket is completely covering her from her toes to her nose, so I can only see her eyes and forehead. I sit down on the side of the bed and place my beer on her night stand. She looks so peaceful. So innocent. I move some of her black locks behind her ear to get a better look of her little face. Sarada moves onto her back and opens her tired eyes enough to see me. "I'm sorry I woke you up honey." Sarada then sits up and rubs her eyes.

"Papa... how was your... date?" she asks while yawning.

"Don't worry about that. Go back to sleep. You have school tomorrow." Sarada lays back down and I grab the cover, and place it back on her. I tuck some of it in so she can be comfy and warm.

"Love you," Sarada says with a small smile.

I peck her chubby cheek and say, "Love you more."

Once I leave her room I go into the kitchen and put the two beer bottles in the recycling bin. In the kitchen we have a small calendar and Sarada likes to mark off days once they end. She forgot to mark today off. I grab a marker and look at the calendar, wait... that can't be the date. Is it really March 29? Oh shit. Sarada's birthday is in two days.
