Sasuke's POV

I still can't believe I said that to her. What was I thinking? Sure, we're acquaintances, dare I say maybe even friends, but still. What was even more surprising was that she said yes. After that I said another stupid thing. I said I would pick her up and drive her, when I don't have a car. I used it a couple of years ago, but I had to get rid of it because of my budget. So that night I called Naruto and he allowed me to borrow his car. I owe him ramen.

Let's see if I have everything. Tickets? Check. Bathing suits? Check. Sunscreen? Check. "Papa?" I look up from my bag and see Sarada wearing denim shorts, a tie-dye T-shirt, and the ball cap I used to wear when I was on a baseball team back in grade school. "I'm ready."

"Aren't you going to get hot in that shirt? It's cotton and it's hot today."

"I'll be fine Papa." Yeah right. I'll pack an extra shirt just in case. I know my daughter, and just like me, she can be stubborn. "Are we leaving now?"

"Soon, I'm just packing everything. Do you think they'll let me bring food there?" Sarada shrugs her shoulders.

"I don't know."

"Maybe I should text Sakura... by the way... you are really okay with having my coworker come along?"

"I'm just happy we get to go! So I won't complain." You can be such an angel sometimes.

"Okay, get your sneakers on. We will leave in five minutes."

"Okay!" Sarada runs out of the room. I then remember something.

"Wait Sarada come back for a minute." She walks back in the room with a confused look.

I pull the sunscreen out of my bag. You need sunscreen, come here." Sarada walks up to me. I skirt some of it into my hand, take off her hat, and rub it in her face. I must have applied too much pressure because she immediately resists when I touch her face.

"Papa, wait! I can do it myself!" I stop.

"Okay." I hand her the bottle. "But make sure you get the back of your neck, and rub it in well."

"I will."

I start to walk towards the hall to get my shoes. "And don't forget your ears."

"I will."

I didn't realize how nervous I was about driving until I got into the seat. Sarada is in the back with her seat. Her leg is bouncing up and down. Is she anxious about being in a car or is she excited about the amusement park. "Papa? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, just... getting used to this again." What if I get into an accident? Drivers in cities can be crazy. What if Sarada gets hurt? No, calm down. You are Sasuke Uchiha. You can do this. It would be just like riding a bike, if the bike had an engine.

I take a deep breath and start the car. So far so good. I pull out of the parking lot safely. Still good, now I just have to manage this deadly road. "Papa, why are you going so slow? Isn't the speed limit ten miles faster than this?" She got a point, but I am not going any faster. At least not yet.

Sakura's POV

"I think I have everything."

"Who are you going with again?" my mother asks. When she learned that I was going out with Sasuke and his daughter to the amusement park, she got really interested. She has been sitting on my bed all morning while I have been getting ready.

"Just a coworker," I say while grabbing my Polaroid that I got for Christmas. I haven't used it yet so I think it will be a good chance to take some pictures with it. I could probably take a picture of the lake, or the ferris wheel at night.

"A male or female coworker?"

"... does it matter?"

"You hesitated."

"Can you please leave now?"

"Is it a date?" I can feel my face heat up.

"What? Of course not! I just broke up with Gaara-"

"-A month ago," my mom interrupts. I roll my eyes.

"Still, we were together for a long time. It just... doesn't feel right to start dating yet."

"So if the amount of time that you and Gaara were broken up was longer... you would go on a date with this guy?"

"That's not what I meant." My mother sighs and stands up.

"Okay, whatever you say. Just have fun. And be home before midnight."

I pout and say, "I'm not a little kid any more," even though I am kinda acting like one.

My mom opens the door. "You live under my house, you live under my rules," and leaves my room, leaving the open a few inches. God I hate it when parents do that. Just close the door all the way.

I walk to the door and close it all the way. Then I hear my phone ding. Grabbing it from my nightstand I see a text message from Sasuke.

Sasuke: We're here.

I grab my small backpack and head down the steps. "Have a good time dear."

"Thanks dad. Bye." I open and close the house door. When I turn around I see Sasuke Uchiha waving at me a bit shyly through the window.

Sasuke's POV

"Thanks for inviting me," Sakura says as she sits in the passenger's seat and pulls the seat belt.

"Thank you for giving me the tickets." Sakura seat belts herself in, and while she does that, I observe her outfit. Sakura is wearing, like Sarada, denim shorts, but they are lighter color and shorter, but not too short. Her shirt is a light purple shirt that has the word 'morning' on it, and is shorter than a normal shirt, but too short that it is cropped. Her hair is down and her bangs are pulled back by two red clips. Conservative but cute. She also has this very small backpack. I never understood why girls would buy a tiny backpack when you can get a normal sized one.

I then realize that we aren't the only ones in the car. I turn towards Sarada and say, "Sarada, this is Sakura. She works with me." I then turn to Sakura. "Sakura, this is my daughter Sarada."

Sakura flashes a soft smile towards Sarada. "Hi Sarada, I love your hat."

Sarada smiles too, but more awkwardly. "Th-hanks." Sakura's smile turns into an awkward one like Saradas.

I clear my throat. "Okay, let's go."

According to the directions on Sakura's phone, we are almost there. Thank God because no one has said anything since Sakura entered the car. I look through the rear-view mirror to check on Sarada. She is looking out the window, and her leg is bouncing again. "About five more minutes and then we're there." I glance back at Sarada again, and her face glows up.

"Great! Where should we go first when we get there? We should go to the water park during lunch time. That's when the temperature is supposed to be the hottest. So we could go on some rides before then," Sakura says.

"Sounds fine to me. What do you think, Sarada?"

In a quiet and shy tone, Sarada mumbles, "That's fine."

I really hope it isn't going to be like this the whole day. Maybe when we get on some rides the weird tension will die down.

With me being lost in my thoughts, I forget that I am supposed to turn right. "Sasuke you turn here!" I wake up from my thoughts and take a sharp turn to the right, which causes everyone in the car to fall to the left, making Sakura's hand grab my thigh.

"Is everyone okay? Sarada, are you okay?" I shout panicking. I try my best to ignore Sakura's hand as she tries to get up. She flew the most out of all of us.

"I'm fine Papa." Sakura recollects herself, and releases her hand from my thigh.

"Yeah, I'm alright. Didn't expect that!" Sakura chuckles.

"I'm sorry," I say. "On the bright side, we're here."

We finally enter the amusement park. The first thing that is shoved in our faces is gift shops and food stands. Also many, MANY, people. "Sarada, stay by my side. It's very crowded."

I turn to look at her and she is having trouble putting on her paper bracelet they gave us at the entrance. Apparently, the tickets Sakura had also contained cut in line passes too. I guess that makes sense, after all, she got the tickets from Tenten, and this is her father's park. "Papa, I can't get it on." I bend down to help her. As I put the bracelet on, Sakura comes back to us with a map in her hand.

"I found a map." She opens it. "Okay, which ride should we start with? I am willing to go on any ride, except the haunted house."

"I think we are going to stay away from the haunted house," I say when I stand straight up. Sarada is terrified of anything haunted like. I learned that pretty quickly when I rented 'It'.

All of us start walking towards the roller coaster section of the park. Sakura has the map rammed in her face. Every now or then, I have to keep pulling her arm towards me because she keeps getting separated from us. "Well what should we start with? Sarada, what do you think?" Sakura asks. I stare at Sarada and notice the worried expression on her face. That makes sense. She has never been on a big roller coaster before. Sarada places her hands on her stomach.

"Sarada, do you have a stomach ache?" Sakura pushes that map away from her face when I ask that. Sarada shakes her head indicating she isn't, but I can tell that's a big lie.

Sakura can also tell that Sarada was lying too, because she then walks over to Sarada and bends down to her level. "You know, we don't have to start with one of the big roller coasters. We can go to this other section that has less intense rides to start with. Like a warm up. What do you say?"

Sarada nods to this and releases her hands from her stomach. The expression on her face softens. Good thinking Sakura.

Then, Sakura bolts back up. "Okay! Then lets g-" Sakura's face scrunches up and she puts her hands on her head before she can finish her sentence.

"Head rush?" I ask her.

"Yeah" she says in pain. This is going to be a long day.
