Sakura's POV

A soft groan escapes my lips as I feel myself awaking from my sleep. I slept really well last night, and this pillow is really comfy, although, by the way my neck is laying on it, I will most likely have neck pain all day. Last night was fun. Hanging out with Sasuke and Sarada. Come to think of it, when did I go home? Wait...

My eyes shoot open. The first thing I see is a TV screen still on showing the home screen for Shrek 2. I move my eyes and see a bowl with a little bit of popcorn left at the bottom. Next to it are three white mugs, one with a ladybug, all almost empty with tea.

I then realize, I'm not laying on a pillow. I'm laying on Sasuke Uchiha's shoulder, and his head is leaning against mine. More moments come back from last night. Sasuke and I held hands, and for a long time. What does that mean? Does he like me? GOD SAKURA YOU SOUND LIKE A FUCKING MIDDLE SCHOOLER!

I want to move my head and get out of here before Sasuke or Sarada wakes up, but I don't know how I'm going to do that. Mom and Dad are probably freaking out. I said I would be back before 11pm and I spent the whole damn night here, AND didn't look at my phone. They're going to kill me, but to be honest, I would rather deal with their shouting and pissed off faces than Sasuke right now.

I gotta get out of here. Maybe I can escape if I hold Sasuke's face up. That is exactly what I do. I placed my palm onto his forehead and slid my head out of the junction of his neck and shoulder. He hasn't woken up yet. Only using my palm, I lead his head to the back of the couch to let it rest there. Sasuke's sleeping face is so cute! His guard is completely down, making him look so calm and relaxed. No cold facade, no scrunched eyebrows. As much as I would like to stay and stare at him more, I need to get out of here!

After observing his face, I slowly rise from the couch. Once I am completely off of it, I speed over to the dining table and receive my jacket that was placed on a chair and put on my shoes. After that I turn the door knob and open the door a little.

Maybe I should leave a note or something. If I don't he will probably text me later so I mind as well just do it. I reach into the pocket of my jacket and grab my phone.

Sakura: I had fun last night. Left early. Thank you.

That should be good. I hit send and a couple seconds later, a ding is heard in the living room.

Oh shit please don't wake up please don't wake up please don't wake up. I squeeze my eyes shut hoping no footsteps will be heard.

No footsteps. He is still asleep. I exhale, take a deep breath, and exit the apartment, closing the door at a slow pace.

Sasuke's POV

When I received that text from Sakura, I felt like I messed up any chance I could have with her. She just left. Then again, she wasn't originally going to sleep here. But what was even worse was the fact that the TV was on ALL NIGHT! My electric bill is going to be through the roof.

At least I didn't have to go to work today and see her. I spent the entire day folding laundry and doing other random house chores I haven't been able to do. Sarada spent the whole day in her room reading some of the new books Sakura gave her.

Now is the only time when Sarada and I are together today, and it is dinner time. I finally am able to make a good grilled cheese, so we are having that and tomato soup. "How are you liking your new books?" I ask as I take a sip of my water.

"They're great! I love them. I already finished one book."

"Are you serious?" I ask, remembering how long it would take me to finish a book, but then again, I can't remember that last time I found a book that made me want to continue reading.

"It wasn't that long." Sarada takes a big bite of her grilled cheese and chews. "By the way, where did Sakura go?"

"She left before you woke up." Before I did too.

"Why? She should have stayed for breakfast."

"Well she wasn't going to sleep over so her parents were probably worried." I hope that's the reason. If I am the reason, I don't know how I'm going to talk to her again.

Sarada doesn't ask anymore questions and keeps eating. Looking at her now, I notice all these changes in her. She's taller, and her cheeks aren't as chubby as they used to be. They still are chubby, but not as chubby. She's growing up. Even though Sakura told me that I'm a good dad and I shouldn't worry so much, I can't help it. Especially when she starts to change.

"Sarada? I need to ask you something." Sarada glances to make and continues to eat. I take a deep breath. Should I tell her. Will she be okay with it? She is getting older, so maybe she'll be okay with it. "How would you feel... if...I maybe started... to date?"

Sarada's chewing stops. "Do you like someone, Papa?"

I place my hand on top of hers for comfort. "That doesn't matter. I just want to know if you would be okay with it. If you don't feel comfortable then I won't, it's fine. You are the most important thing to me, and this would affect you just as must as it would affect me, so I want to know how you feel."

Sarada doesn't speak. She stops eye contact with me to think. After a couple of seconds she gives me a small smile. "I think I will be okay. Just, don't date anyone mean."

I smile. "Yeah. Don't worry, I won't." I keep my hand on top of her and continue to eat with the other. "Sooooo, who's the girl you like? Is it Sakura?!"

I try my best to hide my face from her knowing that I am probably holding in a grin and a blush. "It doesn't matter. I was just curious how you would feel."

"Suuuurrrrreeeee," Sarada says sarcastically. I take the hand I was using to eat and ruffle her hair, making a laugh escape her thin lips.

Sakura's POV

"Here are your drinks," I pull on the best fake smile I can while putting their waters on the table. "Are you guys ready to order?"

"Not yet," says the younger man out of all of them.

"Okay, I'll give you guys some time." I leave the table area and head back to the counter to make more drinks for another table.

I haven't seen Sasuke since two nights ago. He hasn't texted or anything, which doesn't surprise me, but today, he is coming in to work when I am going to leave. Hopefully I won't run into him. It would be so awkward.

"Sakura?" I turned my head from the french press I was using. Next to me is my brunette friend.

"Yes Tenten?"

Her face shows concern. "Are you okay?"

I laugh off what she just said. "What are you talking about? Of course I am." She doesn't seem convinced.

"You have been acting weird for a couple days, but now, it's reached a whole new level. Is there something you're not telling me? Did you run into Gaara or something?"

"No I didn't. To be honest, I haven't thought about Gaara since that day his roommate came by." I finish making all of the drinks and place them on my tray.

As I try to leave, Tenten grabs my shoulder. "Then what is going on?"

I hesitate. Should I tell her? She is a close friend, but she also works with Sasuke too, and there is a good chance she will accidentally tell him. Before I can come up with an answer, the man I have been thinking about enters the coffee shop.

He's wearing his work clothes, but his shift doesn't start for another hour. Once he takes more steps into the restaurant, I realize he isn't alone. A little, short haired girl with red glasses is with him. Sarada.

"Sasuke? What are you doing here so early?" I ask when he approaches the counter.

"Sarada wanted to come by here again." I lean onto the counter to see Sarada.

"Hello Sakura!" I notice that she is holding one of my old books, along with a folder and pencil.

I can't help but smile at her. "Hello."

"Why did you leave so early last night? Papa would have made you breakfast." Saying this made Tenten drop her notepad. I turn to her and see that her jaw is dropped to the floor, and her eyes are wide. Oh no, I know exactly what she is thinking.

One problem at a time, Sakura. I turn back to the little girl and respond. "Yeah, but my parents were worried about me so I needed to get home."

"Sarada, go sit over there and get started on your math homework. I will be over in a minute," Sasuke interrupts while pointing to an empty booth.

She starts to move away from the counter when I ask, "Do you want anything to drink, honey? Iced tea? Lemonade?" Sarada's head bolts up when I say lemonade. She then looks at Sasuke for approval.

"Lemonade is fine." Sasuke speaks. Both of them leave the counter and go to the booth. I grab a cup and start to fill it with ice and homemade lemonade. When I finish I place it on my tray.

Once I face Tenten again her face hasn't changed. I think drool is going to fall out if she doesn't close her mouth. "It's not what you are thinking."

"Did you spend the night at Sasuke's?"

I finally escape from behind the counter and say, "Yes, but not like that. I will explain it to you later so just keep your mouth shut."

I make my way to the booth with Sarada and Sasuke and place the cup next to Sarada who is listening to Sasuke explain how to do long division. They don't really look up to me. Sarada just mumbles a thank you and continues to work. After placing down her lemonade I keep working and plotting how I am going to leave without bumping into Sasuke.

About an hour and ten minutes later I finished my shift. After cleaning the tables I rush into the back room and grab my stuff out of my locker. Instead of exiting through the front door, I will go through the back that the cooks go through. I just have to be quick before Sasuke comes here.

I slam my locker shut and make my way to the door, but before I can someone opens the door and enters. Sasuke. I freeze when I see his face. I never realized how shiny his black bead eyes are, or maybe it's the light, but whatever reason it is, it makes his eyes even more hypnotizing. "Sakura?"

Once he speaks I break out of my trance. "I have to go now," I say, trying to leave, but Sasuke blocks the door.

"Are you avoiding me?" He asks, looking directly into my eyes. His face is completely serious and shows no fear. Unlike me.

"I uuhh... of co-urse not. Why would you thi-nk that?" That didn't sound convincing at all.

Sasuke's face drops down. His serious and confident aura disappears into a gloomy one. "Did I make you uncomfortable?" Sasuke asks so quietly, that it could almost be a whisper.

Now I feel bad. Of course he didn't. He made me happy. "Of course you didn't. I just... umm..." Before I finish I feel Sasuke's arms wrap around me and feel him pull me into him.

He doesn't say anything. Just keeps hugging me. I thought I might feel uncomfortable or tense, but I'm not. I feel really relaxed and safe in his arms. He feels really warm.

After a hesitation, I wrap my arms around his back and hug him too. We both stay like this for a while. During this, Sasuke rests his head on my neck. I can feel his breath on my neck as he breaths and then talks. "Will you go out with me?" he mutters.

I feel my heart jump out of my chest like it does in cartoons. I can sense butterflies in my stomach, and a smirk form. "Yes," I whisper.
