Chapter 120: Be Revived! The Third Dragon

"I Summon 'The Fiend Megacyber' to the field in Attack Mode." Jonouchi played his Card. "He's a is Six-Star Monster, but if the opponent has at least two more Monsters than I do on the field, I can Special Summon him to the field without sacrificing. I use Megacyber to attack 'Harpie Lady'. Also. I set one Card in reverse. Turn end."

"Looks like you're finally seriously, Jonouchi." Mai noted. "This is what I'm talking about. I've been waiting for this: to finally be able to move past this utter nonsense of friendship and fight you with all my might, and I'll win. My turn. With all the power I've mustered, Jonouchi, I'm going to beat you."

Meanwhile...

Otogi, with Haga and Ryuzaki was his passengers, drove up to the front gates of Industrial Illusions. "As I thought, this is strange." the creator of Dungeon Dice Monsters mused. "The entire place is empty. Yuugi." he spotted short outside the locked building.

"Why are you here?" Honda asked, running forward.1

"That's what I want to know." Otogi shot back. "Why are you dueling in a place like this? Isn't that Jonouchi dueling against Mai?"

"We don't have time to explain." Anzu insisted. "There's something terrible happening."

"We've been locked in here." Honda added. "Can you open the door from out there?"

"Got it." Otogi nodded. "I'll try."

Back in the duel...

"I sacrifice two 'Harpie Lady Copies', I Summon 'Harpie's Pet Dragon'." Mai played her Card. "Due to the effect of 'Seal of Orichalcos', its Attack goes up by 500. and for every 'Harpie Lady' on the field, it goes up another 300 points. This is the final strike, Jonouchi. Go, 'Harpie Pet Dragon, attack Megacyber."

"Reverse Card, open." Jonouchi countered. "'Compensation Mediation'. This Card allows me to shuffle it with two Cards from the opponent's graveyard. If I can pick this Card from the three Cards, for this turn, all battles will be forced to a close. Now, choose two Cards from your graveyard, Mai."

"These two." Mai picked 'Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation' and 'Harpie Lady Sparrow Formation'.

"Then, you shuffle them." Jonouchi instructed. "Now then, ready when you are. I choose this one." he picked the middle Card. "This turn's battle is over." he had correctly chosen 'Compensation Mediation'.

"As expected of you." Mai praised. 'I'll give you a hand for coming up with a thorough plan. However..."

"I know." Jonouchi agreed. "The opposing player gets to add the Cards they chose to the top of their deck."

"The battle may be over, but my turn isn't over yet." Mai reminded. "With the effect of 'The Seal of Orichalcos', I move two 'Harpie Ladies' to the back row. Also, I set two Cards face-down. Turn over."

"My turn." Jonouchi drew a Card. "I set one reverse Card. Also, I Summon a Monster in face-down Defense Mode. I switch Megacyber to Defense Mode."

"You're awfully calm in this desperate situation, Jonouchi." Mai snorted.

"I guess." Jonouchi shrugged. "It's one of the many lessons I learned in Battle City: never give up until the last second, no matter what happens. If you do, a chance will come."

"My turn." Mai took her turn.

"Reverse Card, open." Jonouchi intervened. "'Drop Off'. I won't let you draw."

"I won't let you have your way." Mau countered. "Reverse Card open over here as well. 'Trap Jammer'. I discard a Card from my hand to make your Trap Card's activation useless. You really have good luck. I'll set this. It's too early to relax. 'Harpie Pet Dragon', attack Megacyber. Also, I use 'Harpie Lady' to attack your reverse Defense Monster."

"I activate the reverse effect of 'Fiber Jar'." Jonouchi declared. "All the Monsters on the field, our hands, and the Cards in both our graveyards return to the owners' decks and we shuffle them."

"Not bad at all, Jonouchi." Mai noted. "But that's useless. Reverse Card, open. 'Harpie's Feather Storm'. This Card's effect can only be activated if my Harpie attacks. It makes all my enemies' special effects invalid. Turn end. Now what'll you do next, Jonouchi?"

"My turn." Jonouchi drew a Card. "I Summon a Monster in face-down Defense Mode. Turn over."

"My turn." Mai took her turn. "I activate a Magic Card from my hand. 'Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation'. Beat his reverse Monster. 'Neko Mane King'..." she gaped.

"That's right." Jonouchi chuckled. "'Neko Mane King's Attack is zero; so the effect of Phoenix Formation that deducts half the destroyed Monster's Attack Points from the player's Life Points becomes meaningless. Also, 'Neko Mane King's special effect's activated. If you send it to the graveyard in this turn due to a Magic, Trap, or Monster Card effect, the opponent's turn is forced to an end."

"Knock it off already?" Mai barked. "If you're thinking about 'saving me', you're more stupid than I thought. What are you doing?" she snapped. "It's your turn."

"This is..." Jonouchi drew a Card. "'The Claw of Hermos'. I'm counting on you, Hermos, please lend me your power."
