With one of the shifters dead and the other 2 captured, the Chaldeans plan to interrogate them, hoping to get more information than last time.
"Seems like whatever transformation she underwent, it was way too much for her" - Ritsuka said as he looked at the dead body of the woman.
"By the way, Master, what happened to the first one we found? That one in the Capital?" - Shiki asked him.
"Levi said he would keep him controlled, I hope he doesn't kill it" -
"Let's not worry for that in the moment, we need to interrogate the ones we found. Enkidu, what happened to yours?" - Muramasa asked the Lancer.
"He tried to bite his hand, but I managed to restrain him and catch him, he's currently trapped, I'll go for him" -
"Good job, we'll go for the one Mash and I managed to capture, let's meet outside the Wall as soon as we have them" -
As they did, they brought the captured enemies and after making sure that there was no one outside the Wall, they put them under a tree.
"What the hell do you want with us!?" - one of the mans said.
"Answers, we saw one of you turn into a Titan, and we want to know how is that you did so" - Muramasa said as he prepared a sword.
"We're not going to talk, and you can't make us" - the man said again, as his partner remained silent.
"We definitly can, but for your own safety is better if you don't force us to do so" - Shiki said, toying with her own sword before trying to stab the man in the leg, only to be stopped by Enkidu after he laughes slightly.
"Don't, I have a feeling that they want to be hurt... It triggers your transformation?" -
"None of your business pretty boy" -
"So, we can't get them to talk by hurting them... This might be tough" -
"Haha, you'll never get anything from us! Might as well just kill us, it's all you Devils are good for after all!" - the old man started to laugh.
"I'll talk..." - the second one, a man that looked to be in his thirties with brown skin and no hair interrupted the laugh of the other one - "What do you want to know?" -
"How can you transform into this things and what are you doing here?" -
"Hey idiot, shut up!" - the old man tried to stop his partner from talking.
"We... Don't know how we were able. They just told us to close our eyes and not open them. Then, I felt a big pain, but was unable to open my eyes. After I could finally see again, I was told that I would 'Do something useful with my life'" -
"Who was the one who sent you here?" Enkidu asked this time.
"I... I... My head..." - the man started to sweat all of the sudden, same as his partner. Blood started to come out of his eyes and all of the sudden, they died, no matter what the Servants tried to do to stop it.
"What happened to them..?" - Mash asked, not believing that they simply died all of the sudden.
"Wait, if this happened to them... The previous prisioner is most likely dead by now" - Ritsuka said.
"Ritsuka Kun, this is no time to think about this. I'm sending you a syringe, extract blood from the corpse and send it back" - Da Vinci spoke and as such, Ritsuka obeyed, sending it back as soon as he got the blood.
"Let's get back with Reines, Gray, Erice and Fujino, we need to see if they found anything about who murdered the two Titans under Hange's care" -
Returning to the rest of his team inside the District while waiting for Da Vinci to finish the test, Ritsuka and the others met with the group and Levi.
"They were going around interrogating the trainees, was this your idea?" - Levi asked.
"Yes, we needed to see if any of them might have been the one to do so" - Ritsuka explained his reasons.
"And what about you?" -
"We were going to interrogate some soldiers, but we ran on some unforseen problems?" -
"Is it in any way relating to that giant lightining that got many people incredibly scared?" -
"Yeah, I'll tell you later. Leaving that aside, did any of you found out anything?" -
"There are a few that are suspicious, but they all have solid alibis so we can't say for sure" - Reines explained.
"Maybe I should ask Holmes to come here, help us sort this problem out" -
"There's no need for that Senpai, we should be able to figure this thing out ourselves" -
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Well guys, you can take a break, I'll tell Levi what we found out" -
While the Servants went together to see the trainees, Ritsuka and Levi went to a private room in one of the buildings belonging to the Corps to talk.
"So, what exactly happened?" -
"3 shifters, they fought one while Mash, Enkidu and myself restrained the other 2" -
"What happened to them?" -
"The one that managed to transform died after returning back to being a human, the other 2 died while we were interrogating them, I'm waiting to see if Da Vinci can figure out why" -
"Do you think there are more of them in the District? If so then I'll let my squad know" -
"There won't be any need for that Levi Kun, I scanned the District multiple times and haven't seen a single trace of another shifter, it seems we can rest easy for now" - Da Vinci entered the conversation.
"Hmph, even with that I'll still tell them, they need to be alert in case of any suspicious activity, especially with the murder of Sunny and Bean" -
"You remember the name of Hange's Titans?" -
"A bit hard not to when she talks about them all the time" -
"Fair point" -
With that, they both left the room. Tonight was an important event, and at least they could do it without any shifters interrupting the party.
