Author's Note:
I think I know what will happen to Naru and friends, Keitaro I have to think more about. So this is just a short chapter, hopefully I will have more soon.
Prologue:
Starting a new club has its problems.
Back in Naru's Living Room:
Everyone settled down once more.
"Okay, now that we dealt with them, we should discuss what type of game we want to do next.", Naru said as she looked around at the original and new club members.
The different members all had ideas, it took a while but after some discussions an agreement on what they should do next seemed to develop. A 'Choose Your Own Adventure' that would have lots of choices and pages. Simple to program but it would use the skills of their artists to the limit. Also this time it would be a free game, the idea was to get it out there so they still were in the minds of game companies and players still.
In the classrooms the next day:
"Will the following students please come to the offices after classes end for the day". The school intercom announced clearly. The list of names was all the members of Naru's old gaming club. For the rest of the day classmates kept sneaking looks at her, wondering why she needed to go to the office.
Meanwhile Naru and other members wondered if they did anything wrong when they quit the old club. The people who had replaced the club members in turn wondered if this meant they would be getting back the original members and maybe even a share in the money.
At the school office:
"What do you mean we have to be members of a school club?", Naru asked their past supervisor angrily.
"It's the school rules, all students have to be a member of a club. We can't have students running around at random unsupervised while other students are busy supporting their clubs.", the supervisor said.
"Well, can we form our own club again?", another member asked.
The supervisor thought a little, "I guess so, but only if all your old members join in.", he answered.
"Okay, then we want to start the Adventure Programming Club!", Naru exclaimed happily.
"I think that conflicts with the computer club.", the supervisor replied back unhappily.
"No, it does not.", the lead programmer interjected. "The computer club is into hardware and finding what useful programs exists to download that for use on their hardware. They do very little programming.", he pointed out.
"And we are going to be spending all our time writing programs. Adventure Game Programs.", the second programmer added.
The supervisor pulled out a form, "Fill this out, but since I already are busy with the present gaming club you will have to find another teacher to be your supervisor.", he explained.
Naru in turn took the form and then turned to the other members, "Are you all willing to sign up and try again?", she asked even as she already knew the answers.
A chorus of "Yes" and all the students filling in their signatures made it clear they were all ready to try starting anew.
Following day at the school:
Today had started out as a very frustrating day for the members of the new club. All had tried to find a teacher to act as the club's supervisor. Most teachers had already been involved with one club and sometimes more than one club. The one teacher that was free was the teacher no-one wanted around, he just gave off the wrong vibes.
Finally, they found one. She was a substitute teacher who was only suppose be there for a few weeks, that is why she was not supervising any clubs. But it turned out what was thought to be a short term illness was more serious than was first thought of and now she would be there for the whole school year if not longer.
This was a relief to the original members; the members of the new reformed gaming club had bugged them all day trying to get them rejoin them. Now they could continue with their plans without delays.
Meanwhile at the dorm:
Keitaro did not know what to think, the girls of the dorm seemed to just him a lot more leeway's than they did in the past. But he never knew when something he did would be considered too far and the attacks would resume.
Motoko was also a confused individual. Keitaro was still doing questionable things, he still stood too close to Shinobu for example, but neither was he doing anything that was clearly perverted in nature.
"Could we really have be making a bigger deal of his actions in the past? Were we seeing things worse than they really are?", she wondered to herself.
