sabo is one of my favorite characters to write.
the kid was a biter. that was one of the first things dadan learned about sabo. he bit and clawed like it was all he knew. unfortunately for him, she was a hard seasoned bandit, and she'd be damned if she let the brat stay in the jungle. she had already lived through that fiasco with garp's grandson. dadan would raise a non-feral child this time, even though sabo looked half grown and his clothes stank of money but she wouldn't sweat the details.
'PUT ME DOWN!'
dogra hovered near the door, sweat pouring down his face. his boss bringing a child home was unusual especially after she swore to never allow another one. she had cursed and cheered when luffy had sailed out, torn between being glad that the boy was gone and loneliness now that no one was causing a ruckus in her home.
dadan gave magra a pointed look and the bandit dashed to pull a chair out, the rarely used table was set up just as she had ordered. the table that was only used for serious matters or if she wanted to gamble garp out of all his money.
dadan shoved the boy onto the chair, sitting herself in the one cross from him.
sabo huffed but made himself comfortable, he was clearly not getting out of this situation. the bandits of mt. colubo were known for two things ; being loud drunks and never letting anyone escape.
sabo growled at the woman and flinched when she returned it in equal measure. this was gonna be harder than he thought.
dadan sighed and leaned back into her chair, 'how long?'
'huh?'
'how long have you been in that jungle?'
sabo looked at his fingers and began counting them with a low mutter.
'three years.'
dadan banged her head on the table, the wood giving a dangerous creak.
dogra jumped to his boss's side, 'its much better than luffy.'
he knew where her thoughts were headed and the bandits couldn't afford to lose another table. well by all accounts they could but that would mean having to lug the thing up the moutain and going into goa, two of the things they avoided doing.
dadan grumbled but lifted her head to face the brat, 'live here then.'
sabo became more confused, first he was kidnapped and now he was being offered their home. maybe he had eaten a strange mushroom or maybe the heat of the jungle had finally gotten to him. either way he didn't know what to say.
'good talk. dinner is whatever you bring in and don't attack the lady that comes up the mountain. your room is upstairs,' dadan nodded and stood up with a sigh.
magra began moving the table to rest against the wall and quickly moved sabo off his chair to move them as well. it was going to be a long day.
