God

Outlook III dragged Sabo into the temple that was deemed to be ruled by gods, Sabo didn't want to go, he just wanted to stay with Koala, but now he was being punished for hanging around with a "slave" (that's what his mother called her).

He hated the sacrificial ceremony, he hated hearing the cries of the sacrifice when they found out they didn't actually want to die, he hated that they were always cut off before they could even scream- because that's when the poison finally started gouging out their insides and they started to choke on their own blood.

He knew this because every child-royal had to watch the ceremony because that's what they were told would happen to them if they ever disobeyed the rules of their parents. Thankfully he wasn't going to die, but instead, he would have to stand and watch the ceremony up close and pour the poison down the throat of the sacrifice, then stay there until the sacrifice either died of the poison or the pain.

He was thrown into the ceremony room, the sacrifice was already pressed down onto a pillar, yet to have the poison inside them, Sabo gulped.

He started walking over to the priest who handed over a wine glass that seemed to have the poison inside. The priests then began holding the sacrifice down, who tried to break free from their grasp but failed.

Sabo made the mistake of looking into the eyes of the sacrifice, it was filled with fear, pain but most of all regret, Sabo blinked a tear falling out from his eye.

Sabo closed his eyes, pouring the poison down into the throat of the sacrifice before turning away, making sure the priest didn't see the fat tears rolling down his face.

Sabo walked to the corner and turned around, the poison had already affected the sacrifice, blood dripped down their mouth.

Then he saw the most wonderful thing ever - the gods.

The sacrifices were sacrifices because they were sacrificed to the gods to keep, not save or live in, they were sacrificed to the whitebeard and (sometimes) other gods, it wasn't like they could survive (unless a god gave them their blood), they would already be dead by the time Whitebeard sees them.

There were multiple gods but his favourite was the gods Ace and Luffy. Ace was the son of whitebeard, his speciality was fire, it said that to be cured by the poison you would have to endure his flames until all the human parts of your body and your sins melted/burned off.

Luffy was the grandchild of the god Garp and the brother of Ace, though Luffy is said to not be a fan of Whitebeard and didn't consider the guy his father (Sabo wasn't quite sure about this part of the information he learned in the History books at school, but he went with it anyway). Luffy is said to be the god of strive and he's a very successful god.

When Sabo first saw the statue of Luffy and Ace, that's when he first knew that he looked up to them very much. They were remarkable and Sabo bet that every god was surprised at how strong and capable they both were.

Sabo came back to reality when he felt eyes on him, he looked at the sacrifice who beckoned him to come, Sabo looked around the priest seemed to have exited the room and there was no sight of them.

He carefully made his way to the pillar, he stopped right in front of the sacrifice, they pointed behind him. Sabo was a little bit confused but turned his entire body to look behind him.

Sabo fell onto his butt from what he saw, littering the room were thousands of gods but Sabo could seem to only stare at Ace and Luffy who didn't seem to be paying attention to him.

Sabo regained himself, the gods probably couldn't see him but could sense his presence, they were only meant to see the sacrifice anyway.

Sabo looked back to the sacrifice who smiled at him in pity. Pity? Sabo wondered, if there was any way to give pity to it would be the sacrifice themselves.

He looked back at Luffy and Ace, who were starring daggers at him, though they couldn't see him they knew he was here, not just them every god could.

Sabo froze, before passing out.
