This is going to be a scene from the anime and not the manga. Where Luffy talks to Zoro about the pirate king and his promise to shanks.

The water lapped at the sides of the boat. Moving them forwards. Earlier Luffy said real pirates let the water move them to their next adventure, but that was just a horrible cover up story for the fact he had no clue where he was going.
"Hey Luffy?"
"Hmm?" He was sitting on the front of the boat looking out onto the horizon.
"Well, it's just that you talk a lot about this whole pirate king thing and I was wondering why you're so adamant at becoming the next one."
"Well part of it is my hat," he placed his hand on his head gripping onto his treasure, "I made a promise to someone that I would become a great pirate one day."
Zoro took another sip from his drink, moving to sit up from his lying position on the ground, "and what's the other part?"
Luffy turned a sharp grin on his face showing some of his teeth. A twinkle in his eyes that made the swordsman shiver, "I think he's awesome, in his dying breath he took the biggest gamble ever, he didn't know whether or no toe pole would actually listen, or who would actually make it to the last island. And there was no going back, he gave his life for a gamble. Isn't that awesome?"
Zoro stiffened, a crazy smirk came across his face, "I think only you would think of it like that, Captain."
"Well I'll live by it, life is none but a gamble of choices. Hey, is that a bird?" They looked in each other's eyes, "FOOD!"
