Chapter 26 The King's Disaster
Ash and Serena are now watching the Rotom Phone, as they find a commercial with the man and a crown, he says, "We are the Magikarp Kings! Go ahead and challenge me if you dare! Splash! Magikarp!"
The golden Magikarp jumps into the air as the announcer says, "The tenth Magikarp High Jump Competition has begun! May your Magikarp soar high as well! Challenge the nine-time Champion: Kasukarp's Shinegoldie!"
After the commercial ends, Serena asks, "So Ash, are you trying to enter this competition?"
"Why not? I'm going to aim the win with this guy." Ash tosses the Pokeball and sends out the Magikarp, its size is so big that it can be compared to a Snorlax.
"Isn't this the Totem Magikarp that we found back in the Resort Area?" Serena asks. "But is it just me, or that the Magikarp is gaining weight compared to last time..."
"Don't worry. all we need is a plan." Ash says with a smile as he shows the video of how Kasukarp and his two Machamps.
"Looks like this Kasukarp isn't just the Magikarp High Jump Champion, he is also a popular muscle trainer." Serena says.
"I know, he is so cool in this training." Ash shows the Magikarp how the Gold Magikarp is training, and he says, "Magikarp, do you want to be as cool as Shinegoldie?"
After seeing the Magikarp, his eyes are now burning with fire, wanting to become the same as the shiny Magikarp in the video.
"If that's the case, we are going to help you with it, right, Pikachu?" Ash asks, and Pikachu agrees, as for Serena, Sylveon, and Raboot, they just look at Ash and Pikachu with weird faces.
Ever since that day, Ash, Pikachu, and Magikarp are training fiercely for the Magikarp High Jump Tournament. From weightlifting to using sandbags, and Ash even calls his own Boldore to help them out by taking Tackles and Push-ups.
Serena is looking at them as she sighs, "That's Ash indeed. He always trains this hard..."
And after a lot of sweat and tears, as well as overcoming the weakness of the heart, Magikarp is continuing to become stronger and faster, as well as starting to have some abs.
"Geez, all that training is very hot." Ash sighs as he also takes off his clothes, and due to the rigorous training, Ash is also having six-packed abs.
Raboot watches them with a 'Are you serious' tone, but as he looks at Serena, he is also shocked to see that Serena has become a kettle as the steam is coming from her head as she is about to faint from how Ash is looking.
"Serena, are you alright?" Ash rushes to hold her, and just because how close they are, Serena finally faints from the actions of Ash.
Now the day of the competition has begun, and the announcer says, "We've reached the semifinals of the Magikarp High Jump Tournament! Contestant Ash's Magikarp has demonstrated some impressive jumps! Its remarkable physique seems to have been tailored with this tournament in mind! His opponent is Magikarpenter, the last year's runner-up! Which of the two will reach the finals?"
While Ash and his opponent are having a stare-down, Serena is in the stands with Pikachu, Sylveon, and Raboot, as she yells, "Hang in there! Ash! You can do it!"
"Now ready...set...jump!" After the words, Ash's Magikarp's Splash sends it up to 21.02 meters, breaking his personal record and allowing him to advance to the finals.
"You're in the finals, Ash! Magikarp!" Serena comes to congratulate her boyfriend, and Ash smiles, "Thanks, Serena. But now the last opponent is..."
He looks at Kasukarp, who is ready for the second semifinals match. And his Shinegoldie easily outperforms its opponent, setting him up as Ash's opponent in the finals.
"The Magikarp High Jump Tournament has reached the finals! Contestant Ash challenges Kasukarp for his crown!" The announcer announces, and Kasukarp taunts Ash, "You think you can beat my Shinegoldie?"
"That's why I'm here." Ash taunts back.
"Then let me show you the king's true power!" Kasukarp says, "Shinegoldie has actually been holding back to liven up the tournament, but this tournament will be our tenth win in a row! Today we are going to break a record! Release all restraints, and go at full power!"
As the golden Magikarp jumps high, the announcer says, "Oh my! Contestant Kasukarp declares that he hasn't been serious until now! What kind of jumps can we expect?"
Ash says, "If that's going to scare me, I'll show you. Magikarp, now it's time for you to claim your wings!
Just then, the fins that Magikarp is using turns out to be two weights, and Ash says, "My Magikarp has been Splashing with weights on all this time."
Everyone is astonished by the revelation, and Serena is equally stunned and she asks, "Where did he get those on?"
As two Machamp try to carry one of the weights away, one of them ends up injuring its back, revealing how immensely heavy the weights had been.
With both Magikarp ready to unleash their best, the finals begin. At the commentator's signal, Shinegoldie makes its jump, but surprisingly, Ash's Magikarp hasn't jumped yet. However, rather than being scared, it's simply building up the power to jump to any height it wants.
"Now use Splash!" Ash yells.
In a bright burst of power, Ash's Magikarp zooms into the sky like a rocket. It easily outperforms Shinegoldie, who is sent tumbling down. The jump is so powerful that Ash's Magikarp is sent flying all the way into space.
"I can't believe I would lose..." Kasukarp says with defeat, but to everyone's surprise, Magikarp is not going back.
"Oh no..." Ash realizes that what he has done and he starts to worry, and the announcer says, "The judge has just told me the verdict: since the rules stated that one's results are only measured after landing, that means Ash's Magikarp won't get measured, and that makes Kasukarp the winner!"
Kasukarp is surprised at first, but he also gets excited as he gets the trophy. Ash looks into the sky with sadness, and Serena asks, "Ash, are you alright?"
"Magikarp...he put so much blood, sweat, and tears into winning, but then he just disappears like that..." Ash says with sadness.
Serena frowns to see how Ash is not happy about this, and she tries to comfort him by saying, "Don't worry, I think that Magikarp would return to you. After all, he is our Pokemon to be proud of."
Ash sighs, until he gets a phone call from Professor Cerise, telling him that two of his Tauros are traded. Both of them immediately rush towards the lab and they find what they get from the Wonder Trade.
"Let's see..." Ash and Serena take out the Pokeballs and tosses them, revealing them to be a Slowking and a Shellder.
"A Slowking and a Shellder? Both of them are Water Types..." Ash says with surprise.
"If I remember correctly, both of them are related, I mean, the head on Slowking is actually the Shellder..." Serena says.
Ash is now eating the noodles and says, "Well, the Shellder usually bites the tail of the Slowpoke to become a Slowbro, but if the Slowpoke wears a King's Rock and have a Shellder bite the item, it becomes a Slowking."
Serena notices Ash and the cup of noodles, she asks, "What are you doing, Ash?"
"Sorry, I was just hungry." Ash says, "Want some?"
"No thanks." Serena sighs, "I am not a glutton like you."
"But you still like me." Ash says.
Slowking notices the noodles Ash is having as he uses Psychic to make the noodles into the air and make them fall into his mouth.
"My noodles..." Ash frowns a little, but the Slowking really likes the taste of the noodles. Ash sighs and says, "I know, right? The noodle tastes great."
Suddenly, Slowking takes off the Shellder head and replaces it with the cup that Ash is holding, and then the Shellder lands on Ash's head. Much to Serena's surprise.
"Ash?" Serena exclaims in shock, and she asks, "Are you okay?"
"No Problem! I'm excellent!" Ash starts to talk in English and has some stars in his eyes, Serena gulps as she knows that something is not right for Ash. "Understand?"
"Ash...you're acting a little weird..." Serena says with a sweatdrop.
"Weird? Why, I haven't the faintest clue what you mean! I am Ash, no, I am Ashking! I have become the Slowpoke Master! An influencer striving to improve the Slowpokes!"
Ash starts to do some weird poses, and Serena says, "No, this is totally weird...Is it because of the Shellder?"
Serena tries to take the Shellder head off Ash, but Ash simply jumps away.
"Stop that, my dearest Serena. That would be a severe compliance breach." Ash says.
"W-what was that? Look, just take that thing off your head, Ash." Serena says.
"I can't do that, I need it to remain myself." Ash says. "This is the critical factor to Slowpoke's future success! The biggest issue for us!"
"I don't understand at all!" Serena frowns but then blushes at how Ash is now close to her. "It appears, my dear Serena, that you can't comprehend the success I am going to reach..."
Serena can't stand any more of this as she says, "Raboot, help me use Double Kick!"
Raboot tries to attack, but Ash just jumps out of the way. Serena turns to Pikachu and says, "Pikachu, please use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu tries to attack, but instead of hitting Ash, it hits both Oshawott and Piplup, who are at the pool fighting with each other while Buizel is trying to calm them down. And the three of them are continued to get shocked.
"Stop, Pikachu. You and Slowpoke are both parts of my beloved family. There is no reason whatsoever for there to be any conflict between us. Be at ease!" Ash says.
"Ash..." Serena mutters, but Ash is now close to her again and he says, "Oh, my lovely girlfriend, won't you be by my side forever? The synergy between you and I shall surely point Slowpoke's future in a positive direction."
"As if I will do that!" Serena says with her face as red as Pikachu's favorite food, and Ash just picks up the Shellder and says, "Here you are, Serena. As of today, you'll be a Slowking just like me."
"I won't do that!" Serena takes a step back. "You're going to become a Pokemon Master, isn't that right, Ash?"
"No, I'm the Slowpoke Master!" Ash says.
Just then, Raboot goes for the sneak attack, and the Shellder on Ash's head comes off. Ash is now back to normal and he asks, "Huh? What am I doing?"
"You're finally normal." Serena rushes to Ash and gives him a hug, but they're quickly stopped as Pikachu is having the head on it.
"Pikachu?" Ash is surprised, and Pikachu starts to shoot off electricity and say something like Pikaking, but the electricity causes the Shellder to come off and now it lands on Raboot.
"Now it's Raboot!" Serena gasps as Pikachu uses Iron Tail to knock it off, but then it starts to fly onto the Pokemon that they owned, like Buizel, and then Pidgeot, and then Charizard, Gliscor, Greninja, Noivern, Drednaw, and so on.
"Just how come the Shellder keeps landing on our Pokemon?" Ash says as he is tired of chasing after the Shellder.
"I don't know..." Serena yells, just then, Ash's Magikarp suddenly falls from the sky, creating a huge blast at all the Pokemon in the lab, and the Shellder returns to Slowking's head.
"Magikarp! you've returned!" Ash says with tears in his eyes as he rushes to the Pokemon. "I'm sorry, Magikarp..."
Serena smiles at the reunion, and then Professor Cerise, Ren and Chrysa rush towards the lab and asks, "What's going on here And why is this place half-destroyed..."
Serena sighs and says, "It's a long story."
Here is a new chapter, and I have made some changes for this chapter, the second part was originally on the Slowpoke Island, but I have been thinking of the Tauros that are still in Wonder Trade, and I decided to do this. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be Sonia and Raihan's first appearance.
