Izuku woke up with a small groan.
But found that no matter how long he closed his eyes he couldn't drift back away.
So izuku got up from the warmth of his bed, grabbed his new phone, and put in his earbuds.
He opened the window, pushing himself through to the small rusted platform.
Closing the window behind him. He slowly crouched down on the edge and grabbed the rusted spot where the stairs used to be.
Then he pulled himself down and dropped a few feet to a platform attached to the wall.
He started climbing down from that platform until he was a foot above the ground, letting go of the wall he fell on the grass with a soft thud.
Soon he grabbed out his phone and opened it to his music app.
He had to re-make all his playlists but he managed to find most of the songs he enjoyed. He quickly scrolled through the playlists finding which one he wanted to listen to and put it on shuffle.
The first song began to play: Alone Again (Naturally) by Gilbert O' Sullivan
'In a little while from now'
It continued to play in his ears as he walked away from the apartment. He had waken up at around 3:53 in the morning and decided he didn't want to go back to sleep.
And he wanted to do something.
'If I'm not feeling any less sour'
He liked this song. It reminded him of a morning with his family on a road trip,
his mother still asleep and his dad smiling at her as he listened to the morning birds outside. The car was messy and izuku had just woken up with a soft breeze blowing through his hair, The sound of the car moving outside.
He doesn't know when he started liking music this much though.
The night mist could be felt on his skin as he walked through the empty streets. This area wasn't well lit and the lights would keep getting dimmer the closer he got.
He walked on the concrete side walk, step after step paying close attention to everything around him.
Ever since he started actually trying harder with drawing he found himself taking in more details around him. As he found himself doing this he realized the entire time he had been looking at heros, Kacchan, or his own goals or plans.
He never actually looked away from those things.
'I promise myself to treat myself'
And now that he was he realized the beauty around him, the way the small greenery poking out of the cracks in walls or in between sidewalks. The small freckles or light in the sky shining a dim light down on the earth.
The silent life in every corner he looked.
He took in every detail as he walked, silently breaking it down in simple shapes and facts in his head.
'And visit a nearby tower'
Soon he reached a dirt path breaking off from the main road he was on.
There was a large chain fence blocking him off from his destination but that wouldn't stop him. He walked up the fence and dragged himself up and above it, landing on the other side.
He walked through the now slightly wooded path with dirt and small fireflies being seen all around.
'And climbing to the top'
He soon started walking up a path, seeing the roots and small rocks in the ground he picked up his pace to a smooth jog.
Soon the dirt path turned nearly invisible as over grown plants and fallen trees clogged it up. He maneuvered through the large path blockers until he saw the train tracks.
Happy that he was almost there, he slowed his pace and started walking along the train tracks. Step after step he wondered what would happen if trains still ran through here. Would someone be here to tell him to stop walking on them?
Who knows!
'Will throw myself off'
He walked and walked until he reached it.
The bridge.
As he looked he took it all in.
It was a canyon with a train track being used as a bridge between the ledges. But to the right and under the bride a huge lake could be seen, surrounded by large fern trees and wildlife. The train track was old and rusted being supported by old metal beams underneath it. And when you looked at the sky you could almost see every single planet and star.
'In an effort to'
And as he checked his phone he felt a smile stretch across his face.
5:00 am
The sun should be rising soon and then he would be blessed with one of the most beautiful sights he had ever seen for the second time.
'Make it clear to who, everyone'
He ran to the center of the bridge and turned to look at the lake.
The water surrounded it was calm as the time ticked down.
And soon it happened.
'It's like when your shattering'
The sun rose with mixed colors filling the sky as it reflected across the lake blessing his eyes with a reflection of the brightest oranges and colors he had ever seen.
'We may as well go home'
The forest around him was lit up with the many pigments of the sky as the evening light made the ground around him seem almost to be glowing.
He could see every leaf as they almost silently swayed towards the evening light.
'As I did on my own'
Summer skies lead to birds singing a silent song in overgrown woods.
the moon balanced with the sun in ways that you could only see in paintings.
And in that moment izuku realized that nothing mattered.
Or at least nothing except this moment, this one beautiful moment where he was one with the world.
'Alone again'
Where nature smiled towards him hugging him with bright mornings and silent creatures. Embracing him entirely, even with his small defects.
It didn't change who he was to it as it did not care.
for he was there to enjoy its simple gift and have a moment of clarity from his busy mind.
'Naturally'
