He had been walking home. The road he was on was known for being dangerous, but he was pretty sure he would be fine.
Besides it was one time! And he would be fast to get home. If only the train didn't shut down!
Some old rocks got stuck in between the cracks of his shoes. He nearly tripped over the overgrown plants in the cracks.
And the smell. Oooh it was one of the most unpleasant things he had experienced in awhile. Dirt, trash and vomit... and what smelled like smoke!
Wait a minute...smoke? Oh no!
He started to run down the road.
He had to get home quickly!-
Izuku knew he shouldn't have been out agian. But at this point it was just a habit to go on a walk, when he didn't, he couldn't get to sleep.
Even the training with Mirio wasn't wearing him out anymore.
But even more worrying then any of that, is the fact that the UA entrance exams are up in 4 days! He's screwed capital S, Screwed! He hasn't built up hardly anything other then some mild flexibility!
He's going to die before the first test even begins!
There was some good news though he finished that one guy's design. He liked how it came out too! And the guy actually paid him for it!
Did you hear that, paid him- for something so mediocre, Done by someone like him!
He even had 5,000 followers now?!
He felt so bad! He was technically with holding the truth about what a useless person he is! But he's selfish ok? He likes to have these people paying attention to him!
But he's also found that they like it when he pays attention to them? From him! People wanted attention from him!
And who was he to refuse!
(Yeah!)
He smiled to himself before he heard screaming.
He looked up to see about 3 people running from a building on fire. Soon lots of people were running from it.
His mind went blank, he heard people screaming. He heard as a child sobbed about his mother still being in there. He just couldn't stand there and watch innocent people die!
Izuku ran towards the building. What if there were people in there? He had to help them. He ran, pushing through the injured and ash covered people. Some ash and blood rubbing off on him, even some on his ear.
He saw the falling parts of the building and something stupid in his brain told him that if he put his hood up he would be safe. So that was what he did. He pushed through the crammed door, or what was now a broken and burnt door on the floor.
There was somebody trying to grab their friend out of one of the holes in the floor. Izuku ran over and grabbed them by there shirt and pulled with the stranger.
Eventually the person got free and izuku shoved them towards the exit.
He kept rapidly turning his head and looking around, looking for anyone in need of help. But when he heard more screaming up stairs he stopped looking and ran up the stairs.
Izuku clung onto the hot railing as he pulled himself up the stairs into the thick smoke that was the upstairs of the building. Smoke filled his lungs and his body was begging to leave these harsh conditions. But his mind had a goal.
He looked through the smoke, eyes aching, to find what looked to be one man trying to kill the other. One had a weapon and the other had a pretty bad knife wound on his face. Izuku ran and tackled the man with the knife to the ground so the other could escape before getting anymore hurt.
The man still standing seemed to get the message and ran immediately downstairs.
While izuku was distracted with the man running away, the man under him made a swift move with his knife-
but izuku didn't notice until it was far to late. Izuku backed off and started to run back downstairs, man still chasing him.
His arm's blood was getting all over his hooding blood dripping down his arm as well. The man made a swift move to jump on top of izuku but right as the man jumped izuku sprinted out of the entrance.
The man got up and ran to the back of the building and jumped through the huge orange flames. it seemed like a hero, some ambulance and cops had arrived.
And then izuku felt somthing in his head snap into place.
Did he just break a law?
Huh look at that, someone who was gonna take the hero exam having a criminal record. Yay.
Izuku could barely even think after that he just started running on his week legs, hoping that somehow he would run somewhere were this wasn't something he had to deal with.
This can't be his life right now.
Todoroki walked down the sidewalk. A light breeze in the air, sirens in the great distance. It wasn't like he hadn't heard them before.
The air here was nice, it was cool and it gently blew through he hair as he walked. Soft noises of a sleeping city in the distance.
The noise of emergency and chaos seemed far in the distance.
He felt that maybe if he just kept walking he would find somewhere new. Somewhere where no one knew him or his family.
A paradise.
A Gentle world where only he existed. No harsh flames or overbearing heat. No expectations, no name. Just a beautifully lit world with gleaming stars in the sky. A world of calm, cold, waters. Small animals jumping through the bushes.
What a beautiful world it would be.
His dreams completely clouded his head to the point where he couldn't see the bloody boy about to bump into him.
"Ah-" todroki was pulled out of thought.
The person in front of him took a step back. They seemed to only be a few centimeters shorter then him.
Todroki stared at the person. They had dull green hair, a bruise seemed to be forming in their face. A red hoodie coverd in blood and ash looked big on their small frame. They had grey torn pants on, and what seemed to be ash, sweat, and blood covering their body. Red shoes looked incredibly worn on their feet.
"Oh uh do you need help?!" Todoroki relized just how injured they were and tried to help. but they passed out in his arms before they could comprehend what he had said.
What was he supposed to do now?
He picked them up and tried to position them on his back. He squatted down and pulled them up. And then he started walking home with an unconscious person on his back.
When he felt a liquid start to drip down his back he relized just how badly they were bleeding and began to run home. They must be loosing way to much blood! If they lost anymore maybe they could die!
He ran one foot after the other and the cold sidewalk until he reached his house.
He looked to the traditional Japanese household he had called home and walked towards the entrance. Once inside he quietly but quickly walked to his room, trying really hard not to spill blood on the floor.
He opened the door to his clean room and set the injured person on his bed.
He quickly ran to the bathroom to gather first aid supplies. once he had them collected he ran back to his room silently opening the door and walking towards the unconscious person.
He looked at them for a second to find where the main injury was, soon he spotted a tear in their sleeve and an enormous amount of blood. He grabbed their arm and rolled up the sleeve using the cloth and water he had grabbed. he tried to wash around the wound.
Soon he grabbed disinfectant and damped the cloth with it pressing it to the wound. He took the gauze pads and antibiotics and gently tried to apply them to the arm. Then he grabbed for the medical wrap and proceeded to wrap it around the wound and velcrod it to the back of the makeshift cast.
Then after seeing the arm mostly cleaned up he went back to the bathroom to grab a new cloth.
Maybe one that wasn't dosed in blood.
He damped the cloth and Brought back more water. He took their ash cover hoodie off, folded it, and put it on his counter. He then proceeded to take his cloth and try to wash off the blood, sweat, and ash. Though he did have to replace his cloth a lot due to how badly ash and sweat was caked on to them.
Eventually he got to their smaller wounds like the bruise on the face and the small cuts and burns litters on their body. He then lifted the covers from his bed and covered the person with them.
He walked to a close closet and grabbed a futon to sleep in for the night.
He set an alarm for early hoping he could wake up and drop the person back off at their home before his dad could find out they were here. He felt strangely good for helping this person.
It was a nice feeling.
