Fuyumi yawned, another long night awaited her. A night of analyzing papers online, making adjustments, printing them, then sending her schedule for the next 3 months to Mr.Yatuzara. The beginning of a school year was always hard.
But then again everything was always hard. It always seemed that way. Don't get her wrong she loved this job she wouldn't choose anything else in the world but.
She wished she could relate to the kids more. She wished she could chat about how, when she was a kid her and her mom would bake cookies and eat them while listening to happy music! That when her dad was home they would watch fun movies and he would talk about his day for hours.
She wished her own family was something she could talk on and on about. On about how warm and how happy she was when she was with them.
But she couldn't.
The days where she could've been trying to make more happy, goofy, memories with her family were long gone. Either that or replace with memories of her attempt to help, her trying so hard to give her family something happy. Something that they could never find.
Every year goes by and she relized just how close she is to it being over. How close everyone was to leaving this place.
She scrambled to shove her things into a binder. She should be almost done now. But she found that even though it was incredibly late she wasn't tired at all.
Her doctor had said she should try getting better with her sleep schedule. Maybe she left some kind of sleeping pill in the bathroom? Or maybe in her room on her desk?
She got up from the couch and walked to her room. She made a mental note to herself to set an alarm for about 7:30 am once she got the opportunity to use her phone.
Checking her room she found that none of her pills were in there. Meaning that they were definitely in the bathroom. It was probably the one next to shoto's room.
When she was younger that was her bathroom so sometimes by habit, she would put things there.
She soon reached the entrance to the bathroom and opened the door. She could see her container of pills on the corner of the sink but when she went to grab them she noticed something.
Why was there blood in the sink? Maybe it was shoto's? Should she ask? But it doesn't look like that much maybe it was just a minor scrape?
It was probably fine! She turned back towards the door and her eyes darted towards the laundry basket.
She staggered back slightly.
All she could see was blood covered rags filling the basket. How much blood was there? Who did it come from? Did shoto loose this much blood? Or-?
Fuyumi ran to her brothers room. She didn't care if it was invasion of privacy that's way too much blood for one person who is still alive!
She slammed opened the door waking up her brother with the noise.
"What..? Oh wait this!...uh..." Shoto looked at her nervously and like he had been caught.
"Shoto are you ok?!? I saw the rags and there's no way you bled that much!" Fuyumi panicked while screaming at her brother.
"Sh." Shoto said gesturing towards his bed.
Fuyumi looked over and saw a messy pile of green hair. "W-What!" She whisper-screamed,"why is someone in your bed Shoto!"
"He was bleeding and fell on me." Shoto stated quietly.
"And you didn't call an ambulance?!?" She whispered panic in her voice.
"What... oh..." Shoto looked dumbfounded,"I didn't think of that."
"You didn't?- how- And you just brought them here? What if their a maniac! Shoto you can't just pick up bleeding people from the streets!" Fuyumi aggressively tried to explain this to Shoto.
"Well...I..." Shoto paused not knowing how to answer.
Fuyumi sighed " it's ok let's just get him up and out before dad sees and get him to a hospital!"
"Ok."Shoto seemed content with doing just that.
Fuyumi tried to shake the unconscious boy awake. "Hey..! Hey..! Wake up..!"
But despite her efforts the slumbering boy wouldn't budge.
"Oh come on- please you need to get up!"she said hesitantly.
She grabbed her phone from her pocket and went to her search browser. 'How to wake someone up?' The first result was a list,
1.yell
2.turn bright lights on
3. Remove covers
4.set the alarm farther away.
5.change the temperature
6.make noises
7.blast tunes
8.dump cold water
9.shake them.
10.adjust...see more options
Ok weird list but she could make some of these work! Yelling is off the list, what if dad woke up? Turning on bright lights though, that's something they could do.
She turned on the light and shined her her phone's flash light at the person. "Hey..!" She whispered.
But after a few minutes with no results they flipped the lights back off and tried the next thing.
Removing the covers.
She untucked the covers that the person was laying on and slowly pulled them all the way off. Then after they did wake up she had enough. she went and violently shook the person until their hair was flopping back and forth.
"Ah! AH!" The person was awake now and tried to free themselves from Fuyumi's shaking.
"Shh!" She exclaimed setting him back down on the mattress. "It's ok you just uh...Shoto what happened agian?"
He looked towards his sister then towards the green haired boy," you fell on me and passed out. But you were bleeding."
"Yeah! So uh now that your awake we have to take you to the hospital! You lost a lot of blood!" She basically whisper-yelled.
"What no no no no no no please..! Please..! My mom can't find out ..! I wasn't supposed to be out this late! I promise I won't do something like this again! Please just let me walk home I'll be ok!" Panic was in his voice as he spoke.
Before Fuyumi could say anything else Shoto interrupted , "ok."
Fuyumi whipped her head back to face her brother. "What? No! He needs medical attention-! You saw how many rags are covered in his blood right?"
"he seems fine now."Shoto stated.
"Yeah well what if he's infected or what if that's not his blood! What if he killed somebody!" Fuyumi tried to reason with her brother in front of the stranger.
"I didn't kill anyone I just...got mugged! Ok! I got mugged!" The boy interrupted their one sided conversation.
"Well then we can take you to the police station to repeat it!" Fuyumi looked back towards the green haired boy.
Mugged? Where? The middle of an explosion? With knives being thrown? Yeah not suspicious at all!
"No it's ok I really just want to go home."' He looked down towards his worn, red, shoes.
Fuyumi sighed, he certainly had made up his mind about what he wanted. she still felt like he should get some kind of help. But she wasn't the kids mom, when he got home his mother could do something about it.
Or heck maybe he had some kind of allergy to something at the hospital! She isn't responsible for this kid!
"Ok fine we can drive you home." Fuyumi said dejectedly.
He looked up smiling, "thank you so much!"
Fuyumi smiled faintly, before walking out back to the living room and grabbing her keys. She walked back to Shoto's room to see both of them having what looked to be a one sided conversation. Shoto also had his phone out.
Smart Shoto! At least he has some kind of sense to find a way to reach him if they needed to check on him.
Well at least she think that's what their doing.
"Hey, come here Shoto and I will walk you to the car, so don't hurt yourself, ok?" Fuyumi nagged the young boy.
"I won't, I won't!" He assured her.
They guided him slowly to the car. Paying extra attention to everything around him so he wouldn't get anymore hurt. then gently placing him in the back seat.
"I could sit on my own y'know." He mumbled out.
"I don't doubt your ability to sit but just please try and realize how absurd this is." Her brows furrowed, "Shoto when we get back we actually need to talk about what to do when someone is unconscious and bleeding! "
Seriously we won't always have the stuff for this!"she spoke louder and with a more angry tone to really show how upset she was about Shoto doing this.
The person in the back could've really been hurt if Shoto did something wrong.
"Oh and uh where exactly is your address?" Fuyumi looked back to the green haired boy.
"Oh yeah it's uh Jisatsu Apartments." The boy stammered quietly.
"Good, that's not far from here." She mumbled to herself and drove swiftly over there.
Once they stepped out of the car he directed them to his address.
Or at least that's what he told them.
He couldn't afford to let his mother see him like this. She has enough to worry about! So he directed them to the empty apartment that the landowner hadn't rented out yet.
"Are you sure it's this one?" The women asked.
"Yeah she might be asleep, but she probably left it unlocked for me." Izuku said back.
"Leaving her door unlocked?" She looked at him skeptically.
"Maybe your poor safety plans are a contributing fact to why you got injured."Shouto said bluntly.
They had traded contact information earlier but Izuku hoped that it wasn't a mistake to give him his number. What if he-
"Shouto that's rude!" His sister exclaimed.
Izuku didn't notice that what Shouto had said was an insult so he defended Shouto. He seemed nice anyway.
"Oh no it's fine me and my mom joke about it sometimes to!" Izuku smiled as he lied.
His sister sighed, " ok well we aren't leaving until I see that your inside and safe, with the door locked!"
Shouto nodded his head in agreement.
"Don't worry about, you might as well start heading back to your car I'll be inside in just a few seconds."he said, practically pleading in his head for them to go away.
They looked at each other before she started back towards the stairs."Fine but make sure to tell your mom you need some serious medical attention!"
Izuku slowly started to attempt to climb to the old stairs on the side of the building. " I will!" He yelled as he jumped on the metal platform, it shook with his weight and the pain in his arm was still very much present.
Fuyumi looked back at where they were once standing to see that the boy was now gone.
She smiled to herself, glad she helped someone.
But she couldn't help but have a bad feeling that he wasn't actually ok.
