Chapter 18: Go for it, Izuku!
Finally, the days of break after the U.S.J. Incident finished and school resumed normally. Well, as normally as it could after Nezu called Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo to his office and warned to not speak of their involvement with the Sludge Villain.
'How'd the fucking Rat know?!' Katsuki roared in his mind while Izuku resolved to add this incident to his {Nezu the Cryptid} notebook before asking the question he and Katsuki had shared earlier. "What happened to the villain, sir? Reports claimed that all his Sludge Clones just deactivated mid-battle."
"From what I can divulge, the Sludge Villain hasn't been arrested by the police, yet." Nezu replied, ignoring Izuku's choke and Katsuki's growl. "However, he was defeated as shown by his clones being destroyed as there was no way he would have been able to leave the city with it's borders under watch."
"So in order words, a vigilante or another villain got to the bastard first." Katsuki assessed, correctly if Nezu's grin was an indication.
"And now, he's either been captured or killed." Izuku finished. "There's also the possibility that he had an ally... but that feels unlikely."
"Most likely killed." Hikage Shinomori muttered, getting nods of agreement from the others. "Unless it's... him, villains don't exactly capture each other."
"Exactly!" Nezu agreed. "Now, run off, children. Leave the rest to the Police Force as they continue to investigate. There's an important announcement for your class that you can't miss."
After a few days off from school, all of Class 1-A was back at U.A. as their usual selves, showing surprisingly resilient mentalities despite the threat earlier.
That or they all subconsciously didn't give a shit as nobody from their side had died (excepting Katsuki, who very consciously didn't give a shit).
"Shut up and grow a proper pair, grape gremlin!" Katsuki roared as he and Izuku entered back into the classroom. Minoru Mineta, the one being roared at instantly stopped whining about something Izuku hadn't been able to catch and made full use of Izuku's larger frame to hide himself as the childhood friends took their seats.
"Tsuyu-chan, who's..." Mina Ashido began leaning back in her chair until she leaned too much and Tsuyu Asui had to catch her, allowing her to finish her sentence. "...gonna teach homeroom today?"
Before Tsuyu could guess of anyone other than their hospitalized Eraser Head, the teacher/hero in question stepped through the door, still wrapped up in bandages.
"G'morning." Shota Aizawa(a.k.a. Eraser Head) muffled through strips that covered all of his face except for tiny bits for his eyes and nose.
"""""Did you seriously ditch the hospital, Aizawa-sensei?!""""" Several members of Class 1-A exclaimed as one.
Ignoring his students' worries, Aizawa hobbled over to his podium and declared his injuries irrelevant.
"He seriously left..." Aguri Yukimura, new assistant nurse to Recovery Girl (a.k.a. Chiyo Shuzenji), sighed in annoyance while her elderly boss threatened to crack her extremely durable syringe-like cane.
*GROAN*
"The next time he winds up in here..." The Youthful Heroine growled as she wrung her cane harder. "I will chain that fool to his bed! Yukimura! Next time, don't let him persuade you to use your Quirk on him and stop his stamina from 'falling'!"
"Y-Yes, Ma'am!"
"The U.A. sports festival is drawing near."
As the class cheered, the Champions raised several eyebrows at the enthusiasm.
"Ah, right." Takashi Shigaraki (a.k.a. Wild Tiger) mused. "That tournament thing, right?"
"Yeah!" Nana Shimura (a.k.a. Djeeta Charger) cheered. "Fights! Snacks! Contests!"
"I almost forgot that you like this sort of thing." Harumi Kiyama murmured as she listened to Kyoka Jiro and Mashirao Ojiro's reasonable worries of the villains attacking again so soon if they saw the festival as a taunt.
"Well, it has been a while since we were right in the thick of it rather than watching from Eighth's view in the stands." Daigoro Banjo spoke as Aizawa clarified that it was essentially a taunt even though the security would be five times higher. "This time, we'll be fighting along with Little Ninth."
"Wait, I protest that." Alex Louis Armstrong protested in a rare state of calmness. "This is a school event. It would be unfair not only to Little Ninth's classmates, but even the boy as well."
"What?!" Daigoro Banjo (a.k.a. Lariat) and Nana turned in protest but were held back by their direct Predecessors.
"I agree." Hikage nodded.
"Me too." En Shimura struggled as his spare hand held onto Nana's cape. "So sit your ass down!"
"Did you get all that, Little Ninth?" Takashi asked Izuku, who blankly watched as Hikage, Daigoro, En and Nana flew into an impromptu fight, with Harumi and Alex spectating. "This festival is all yours to win. Be sure to use our Quirks well."
"R-Right, First-san."
Izuku answered just in time to hear Aizawa address him and Katsuki directly.
"Midoriya! Bakugo!"
"Y-Yes, sir?!" Izuku shot to attention as Aizawa's crimson glare shot to them. "You two have my thanks."
"What-" Izuku stated as Katsuki eloquently added his own in a way that joined as a sentence. "-the fuck?"
"Sensei thanked them?!" Toru Hagakure exclaimed in shock.
"Sensei! Please explain what you mean in detail!" Tenya Iida pleaded loudly while shoving his arm up. "I don't doubt that Midoriya-kun has done something to earn your praise but context would be appreciated!"
"HAH?!" Katsuki glared at Tenya. "You think that I can't do stuff to earn praise, shitty glasses?!"
"One of the problems I have always had with the Sports Festival was how the real names of participating students are revealed to the public." Aizawa ignored Katsuki and stated to the whole class. "Especially as some who wish to become Underground Heroes will be unable to properly do their nocturnal jobs if they're so easily recognized and hounded by both civilians and villains. Of course, several normal Pro Heroes value their anonymity as well. It is especially important for you all, considering that you were all attacked by the League of Villains just last week."
'That's right.' Izuku gasped in realization. 'There's a villainess who knows Katsuki and I's personal identities. She hasn't done anything since she likes me for some reason, but if she didn't...'
"That's what I've been saying!" Minoru wailed. "And they're still going on with the Sports Festival despite this!"
"I see..." Momo Yaoyorozu stated with a thoughtful look. "Now that he mentions it, I don't know the real identities of any Pro Hero who didn't reveal theirs on T.V..."
"But still," Mezo Shoji asked in a rare show of forwardness. "how come nobody remembers the past students that went on to become Pros after being in the Sports Festival?"
"The same reason that none of you, except undoubtedly a geek like Midoriya who still needed to to see my Quirk in action, remembered me when we first met." Aizawa replied as he looked down on his cracked goggles. "If you don't stand out while being spectated on, it's only natural to be forgotten as time passes on. However, while civilians may forget you, villains who find you troublesome won't ever forget and have also been known to attack family members."
A combination of disgust and rage swooped through Izuku as he briefly imagined a villain attacking his mother. It disappeared as the imaginary form of Hisashi Midoriya appeared to protect Inko, grabbing the villain by the throat and breathing enough fire to incinerate the choking villain to ashes.
"I give full approval." Daisy August agreed as even without seeing Izuku's fantasy, she easily understood his line of thought. "Anyone who harms either of your parents obviously needs to die slowly."
Katsuki audibly growled as he imagined some bastard threatening his dad and Ayako. He couldn't imagine his mother in the same scenario, rather imagining her to be at his side while tearing the villains a new one. She'd protect Masaru Bakugo, he'd protect Ayako Momogami.
"With that, every single participant of the U.A. Sports Festival will be required to choose their Hero Aliases today."
"OH, YES!" Several screamed as one!
"Really?!" Minoru shrieked. "What do I do? I haven't thought up a good one yet!"
"I regret to admit but I as well." Tenya tapped his desk nervously. "I hope it will be good enough."
"Speak for yourself!" Eijiro thumbed himself as he practically burned with self confidence. "I've got mine ready for years!"
"Knock it off." Aizawa warned. "Your names are going to be announced all over the country in a few weeks, and if you're not serious about it..."
"...you'll have hell to pay later!" The classroom door slammed open to reveal Nemuri Kayama (a.k.a. Midnight), strutting in with her arms raised to the back of her head, exuding enough sexual appeal to captivate nearly every male in the class. Including the ones not physically present. "Because when a lot of Hero Aliases used by students become recognized by society, they end up sticking and becoming professional ones!"
"Look at them legs!" Daigoro whistled.
"Look at those hips!" En commented. "A nice pair for that ass she's got."
"I think that she's a full package." Daisy added.
"You guys are gonna kill Little Ninth at this point." Takashi weakly warned.
A crimson Izuku slammed his forehead into his desk, trying to ignore the sudden tightness in his pants.
As Aizawa explained that Kayama would be having final approval over their names and passed out canvases to write them on, Izuku seriously pondered on what to choose.
"Little Ninth." Daisy declared with an aura of utter seriousness as his mental worries painted a somewhat fuzzy picture for them to get a glimpse of his old memories. "I'll let you do whatever you want with my boobs if you pick 'All Might Jr.'.
"Real- I mean, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Izuku shrieked in the mental space. I'm sure that your b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-boobs are great but I'd die from the embarrassment!"
After a couple of minutes, Aizawa was sleeping in his sleeping bag.
"Okay, let's start presenting names starting with those who are ready." Midnight announced.
With zero hesitation, Yuga Aoyama walked to the front of the class.
"Here I go…" Yuga whispered before showing his Alias. "Shining Hero: I can not stop twinkling! Which means, my sparkles are unstoppable!"
""""""ISN'T THAT A SENTEEEEEEEEENNNCCEEE?!"""""" The Champions roared as one.
Apparently, Kayama was more open-minded as she made some adjustments to it. "It'll be easier to use if you take out the 'I' and shorten the 'can not' to 'can't'."
"You're right, mademoiselle." Yuga agreed.
"It's okay?" The class exclaimed with Rikido Sato adding. "Anyway, choose one: Japanese or French! There's nothing wrong with knowing multiple languages unless you keep switching your spoken sentences with them!"
"Then, I'll go next!" Mina jumped, slamming her board down, announcing. "Hero Alias: 'Orchid Viceroy'! I thought about how Ayako-chan described me and it just stuck!"
"Oh?" Katsuki raised an intrigued eyebrow. 'Red Shoe's gonna be fucking ecstatic when she hears about this.'
"Oh, I see." Kayama clapped her hands. "'Orchid' represents the shade of pink on your skin while 'Viceroy' is a type of butterfly, representing your horns. That's really creative of you, Ashido!"
'Nice going, Viceroy!' The class thought in unison as Mina skipped back to her seat.
"Man, I haven't thought of an Alias yet…" Denki Kaminari muttered as Kyoka tapped his shoulder. "Oh, what's up?"
"Why don't I give you one? How about 'Jamming-yay'?" Kyoka offered.
"Oh! It's like Hemingway, who wrote 'A Farewell to Arms'!" Denki gushed before giving it a thumbs up. "Sounds smart and cool, Kyoka-chan!"
"No…" Kyoka said, holding back her laughter as she imagined many moments of Denki overusing his Quirk. "It's because even though you're strong… And Midoriya helped you out... You always end up like that when you overdo it..."
"Are you kidding me?!" Denki roared as Kyoka got off her seat and headed for the podium.
Kyoka placed her board down, announcing. "Acoustic Hero: Muse."
"That's good! Next!" Kayama approved.
"Martial Arts Hero: Tailkwando." Mashirao said, flexing his tail. "It's a sad day when my chat name sounds more interesting than my proposed Alias."
"It's a name that reflects your body and skills, Ojiro-kun!" Kayama cheered.
Shoto Todoroki placed up his canvas. "Avalanche Hero: Resolve."
"Oh?" Kayama raised her eyebrows in intrigue. "Obvious title but an Alias that reflects something beyond your name, Quirk or appearance? Do clarify."
"This is a promise to myself." Shoto's already cool eyes seemed to grow colder. "I will never stop for the goal I'm aiming for, no matter who gets in the way, I will blow through it all like the Avalanche."
"That's a nice name with strong feeling!" Kayama raised a thumbs up, hiding her unrest as she glanced at the Erasure Hero's bandaged form in his sleeping bag as he kept napping. 'Strong feeling is one way to put it. I'll have to ask Aizawa-kun about this.'
"King Explosion Murder." Katsuki growled in Japanese, compared to the others who had so far spoken their Aliases in English.
"I'm gonna say that one's a little too violent." Kayama told him.
"Why not?!" Katsuki shouted at her.
"Um, I kinda agree, Sensei." At everyone's shock at Izuku agreeing with Katsuki of all people, the greenhead pushed on. "I mean, one of the Pro Heroes posted in this city is called Death Arms, so..."
"...Izuku's fucking right!" Katsuki roared as he remembered the bastard himself who told others to wait while he suffocated, all because nobody on the scene had the right Quirk. "Why does that asshole get to keep his name while I can't?!"
"Death Arms is not an Alumni of U.A., so we definitely didn't have any educational involvement with him." Kayama stated clearly. "Sorry, but I still need you to change your name. One of the school rules is that your Alias can't either be too violent, offensive or a blatant rip-off."
"I guess my first choice of Alien Queen would've been rejected then..." Mina silently grumbled.
"Um, you stated your Alias in Japanese compared to everyone else's English, so..." Izuku spoke thoughtfully. "Are you trying something with the alternate reading?"
"Alternate reading?" Hanta Sero rubbed his chin in wonder. "That would be..."
"King Explosion Murder... Bakusatsuō... Bakusatsu Ō... Bombing King!" Izuku clapped his hands in excitement. "That's amazing, Kaccha- I mean, Katsuki!"
Katsuki flinched at the near completion of his nickname before roaring in self assurance. "Of course, it is!"
"Right, Bombing King it is!" Kayama gave a thumbs up of approval. "Much better!"
"Wha- NO! It's gotta be Bombing King: King Explosion Murder!"
"No. You can't have the word 'murder' in your Alias, Bakugo-kun." Kayama refused before calling up the next person. "Uraraka-chan, you're up next."
As Katsuki grumbled on his way to his seat and Ochako replaced him on the podium, Izuku looked down on the name written on his canvas. "Yeah, it's gotta be this."
Tenya placed his canvas for view on the podium. "Aerodynamic Hero: Nitro! With this name, I swear to never bring shame to Nii-sama and our family's name!"
"Oh!" Kayama squealed in delight. "An engine-themed name like Tensei-kun! I love it!"
"So cool..." Izuku muttered before he was suddenly called up.
"This is my Alias." Izuku placed his board down to show the class, who stared and gasped at it.
"Are you really okay with that?" Denki asked. "They're gonna be calling you that on live television, you know."
"Midoriya-kun..." Tenya muttered.
"Yeah. I didn't like this name until now. But someone changed the meaning of it, and that had a huge impact on me. It made me really happy." Izuku explained. "Like Occhan did, I will turn the meaning of 'Deku' the 'useless' to 'Deku' the 'I can do it'. The Symbol of Hope: Deku. I want to be... a Hero who can inspire hope in others who need it."
"That's so beautiful!" Alex wailed, tears of pride flowing down his cheeks.
"Symbol of Hope, huh..." Takashi muttered with a grin. "Not bad, Little Ninth."
"So this is your 'Symbol' huh?" Nana uttered fondly as she remembered a young blond man in Izuku's place for a second under a snowy night. "'Peace' for those who suffered through a time of chaos and 'Hope' for those who were trapped in the clutches of despair. Littl- No. Izuku Midoriya, you are... a really funny guy."
While Ochako burst into a wide beaming smile, Katsuki glared at the name like it had just insulted every single thing about his existence.
"Also..." Izuku continued. "It serves as a reminder to myself. It means that no matter how far I get, no matter who I change into as I grow, I must never forget who I originated as."
"This is punishment for all the shit I did to you, isn't it?" Katsuki asked.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Izuku emotionlessly replied as he returned to his seat.
"Don't screw with me!" Katsuki twisted about on his seat to glare at him. "It's totally it, isn't it?! Well, joke's on you!"
[Incoming notebook to the face.]
'Notebook to the fa-?!' {Danger Sense}'s warning went unheeded as Izuku's head rocked back due to a notebook the same type as his personal ones being smacked into his face by Katsuki.
"There! For the one I burned up!" Katsuki faced forward, determined to not see Izuku's conflicted expression. "Make sure to transfer all the stuff you wrote in that old one!"
'...but All Might autographed that one...'
"You do know he'll gladly autograph it again if you just ask, right?" En cocked an eyebrow.
"So deep, Midoriya-aniki!" Eijiro wiped away his brimming tears of manly approval. In Izuku's mindscape, Alex did no such thing and let them flow even more.
"Such valor!" Alex wept with enough force to rival the Midoriya mother and son, causing the other Champions to warily stare at the rapidly spreading liquid on the ground.
"These are tears, right?" Daigoro cautiously patted the water with a tendril of {Black Whip}. "Right?"
(KingVessel: Every other Alias is canon)
"Deku-kun, Iida-kun…" Izuku and Tenya glanced behind them, seeing Ochako's eyes narrowed with a dark violet battle aura around her as she grinned bloodthirstily in a way that actually impressed Katsuki as he noticed it from afar. "Let's do our best at the sports festival."
"Holy shit!" Takashi, Hikage and En flinched back.
Nana herself raised an eyebrow, utterly unintimidated. "Well, look who's rearing to go."
"What a game face!" Alex laughed.
"For money?!" Izuku gasped in surprise after he had questioned her motive for becoming a Pro Hero on their way to lunch.
"To boil down simply, yeah..." Ochako hesitantly answered, deliberately not looking him and Tenya in the eye and vigorously rubbing the back of her head, ruffling her hair. "I'm sorry it's such an unwholesome motive compared to you two! I hope you guys don't think less of me now."
"Not at all!" Tenya replied, making some exaggerated hand motions. "Your goal is to support your wellbeing, which is a perfectly admirable ambition to have."
"He's right," Daigoro said. "Gotta put bread on the table somehow. I basically did the same thing."
"I'm a former thief, so I can't really criticize her." En added.
"Every single job in existence was created for the benefit of rewarding the effort put into it." Takashi, the most heroically driven of them all, had no problems with Ochako's reasoning either. "As long as she's putting in the effort, it's all fine."
"I agree with Iida-kun." Izuku nodded. "It's just surprising, considering how you don't act like other money greedy heroes I've researched before. And there's no way the Occhan we know would have been faking the determination we've seen of you so far."
Izuku wondered why Ochako's face suddenly turned crimson, the girl turning aside to look away from him while fidgeting with her hair even faster than before.
"This dense fucker..." Daigoro muttered.
"Well, you see, my family owns a construction company, but we haven't gotten any work at all, so we're nearly flat broke." Ochako sighed while fidgeting. "This isn't really something to tell other people, though…"
She trailed off while Tenya and Izuku both placed their hands to their chins in thought.
"Construction, eh?" Iida mused.
Izuku gasped in excitement. "If she got licensed, I bet she could use her Quirk to bring costs down a lot."
"A lot of construction accidents do occur from heavy machinery failing." Harumi mused. "But if you have anti-gravity at your command, monetary and maintenance problems becomes moot."
Tenya smiled in agreement. "And with Uraraka-kun replacing their heavy machinery, they could sell the equipment off."
Ochako finally looked at them as she did a little hop to face them, making finger guns at them. "I know , right? I've been telling Dad that since I was a kid!"
Her expression softened and she trailed off, pointing to the side with her finger guns. "But… my parents prefer that I follow my own dreams instead of working for them."
"Occhan..." Izuku muttered as the girl gripped her skirt melancholy.
"Even so..." Ochako raised her head to look both her friends in the eye. "I'm gonna become a Pro Hero. I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money. Then I'll be able to let my parents have an easy life!"
"That's nice." Nana commented while eyeing En who huffed and looked away from his daughter with a blush. "Reminds me of a Dad who thought similar."
"BRAVO!" Tenya burst into loud applause, yelling out his full support while Izuku simply smiled at her, causing Ochako to be overwhelmed with embarrassment by the admiration she had gotten from them.
"HAHAHAHA!" With a familiar, booming laugh, All Might (a.k.a. Toshinori Yagi) burst into the scene. "I AM HERE for Midoriya-shounen!"
Nana slapped her face. "Does he realize how creepy he sounds like when he says that?"
"He's so lucky that the kids practically see him as a local deity." Daisy nodded in agreement. "In my time, that get the police on his ass in an instant."
"All Might?!" Izuku asked, himself and his friends caught totally off-guard by All Might's sudden appearance. "What's the matter?"
"Lunch!" All Might replied, holding up a tiny bento box wrapped in a cute aquamarine cloth with tiny white bunny faces on it. "Wanna eat together?"
"That's adorable!" Ochako commented as she bursted out laughing.
With a nod to the both of them, Izuku left after All Might.
"Deku-kun did mention that All Might trained him for a bit before U.A.." Ochako cheerfully commented as she and Tenya stood in line for Lunch Rush's food, not a worry visible at all. "Looks like they really built up a sense of master and student relationship, huh?"
"I also heard from Shuzenji-sensei that Midoriya-kun also directly helped in aiding All Might from those villains." Tenya added. "Although she did stress she wasn't a fan of his recklessness."
While the majority of the students around them seemed to be totally ignoring their conversation, one student several spots ahead of them in line glanced back.
'All Might and Izuku Midoriya, huh?' Shoto thought as he narrowed his eyes. 'Looks like they really were closer than I thought.'
"Oh, no..." Izuku covered his mouth in horror as he stared at the new scars lining All Might's torso. Other than the grisly hole that had refused to heal properly despite the best efforts of medicine, surgery, several healing Quirks and {One for All} itself, there were now four gnarly lines across the hero's chest, as if someone had taken four steel claws, dipped them in acid and then proceeded to slowly rake them across flesh.
"This is just a physical reminder of that battle." Toshinori spoke as he dressed up again, having taken off his upper clothes to show the new scars. "That Anarchy, or whoever the person she was supposedly 'wearing', sure has an amazingly high corrosive capability. With {One for All} boosting my durability, very little has been able to hurt me."
"I'm so sorry," Izuku apologized. "I should've just—"
Toshinori cut him off with some laughter, blood spewing out of his mouth. "You don't need to apologize for anything, my boy!"
"He's right, Little Ninth." Daisy added, even though the sight of the Eighth Champion laughing as he spewed out precious lifeblood made her feel a little worried. Would his new scars worsen his health considering the substance used to cause them? "There's really nothing to be sorry for."
"I brought you here to talk about the festival." Toshinori said. "Regarding {One fo-}, sorry, I mean {Stockpile}, even though our Predecessors have helped out, you still don't have an idea on how to properly wield it in a fight, right?"
"True..." Izuku muttered as he looked down to his raised hand as he clenched it into a fist. "The best I can do is tightly regulate the power while rushing forward. But Daisy-san has shown me some moves though!"
"That's great!" Toshinori clapped his hands once before rummaging into his bag. "This means I can get right to training you without a pre-session!"
"Eh? Training?" Izuku questioned although he could feel a rising hope in his chest, wondering if All Might really meant what he thought he was meaning.
"Personal training, of course!" Toshinori pulled out a stack of familiar looking papers that caused a forgotten ache in Izuku's bones to declare itself still present. "You are my Successor, Midoriya-shounen! Just as Nana-san personally trained me before, I will do the same. Behold! The {Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan: Mt Rushmore Version}!"
'Another one of that!' Izuku could feel his phantom aches return with a vengeance as he was torn between excitement and dread.
"We have two weeks to prepare you, Izuku Midoriya-shounen!" Toshinori dramatically swelled into his muscle form, his steam creating an ethereal effect around him as the sun suddenly shone from behind a cloud to illuminate the room. "Are you willing to go PLUS ULTRA once again, you zygote?!"
Well, there was only one answer to give when Izuku's role model just freely offered to personally train him.
Again.
All over the school, Kyoka and every other person with enhanced hearing suddenly winced and grabbed their ears as a high frequency scream wreaked havoc on their ears. And some brittle materials.
"...I'll take that as a yes!"
"I'm so sorry about that! And your ears, too. And the window glass as well."
"It's fine, Midoriya-shounen! Meet me tomorrow at the beach tomorrow!"
It was the end of school lessons and Class 1-A's door was currently blocked by students from other First Year departments.
"Wh-What's going on?!" Ochako yelled with a surprised expression.
"Um, I'm Izuku Midoriya, Class Rep of 1-A." Izuku stepped forward to Ochako's side, hoping that his rank would help in providing some answers to this confusing scenario. "What business do you have with our class?"
"Yeah, what he said!" Minoru exclaimed as he reached the door too. "What'd you come here for, anyway?"
"Scouting out the enemy, morons. We're the ones who made it out of the villains' attack. They probably wanna check us out before the sports festival." Katsuki growled as he approached the door as well and glared most of them into submission. "Out of the way! I've got better things to do than deal with your shit."
"Katsuki!" Izuku placed a solid hand on his shoulder despite him rapidly shaking his head at the offended students. "You can't go antagonizing strangers like that!"
"Like hell I'm letting anyone look down on me!"
"I came to see what the famous Class 1-A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant." A student with purple hair and dead eyes explained, pushing his way to the front, asking. "Are all the students in the Hero Department like this?"
"I'm sorry about him." Izuku apologized and bowed his head a little. "He's just a bit... proud."
"'Proud' is one word for what I'm looking at." The purple-haired made it to the front, putting his hand behind his neck and continuing. "Did you know that there are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn't make it into this department?"
"Really?" Harumi raised an eyebrow at that. "Pretty cutthroat."
"Yeah." Izuku replied causing Katsuki to silently raise an eyebrow. "I made a second application for General Studies in case I didn't make it here."
"Oh? Well, so did a lot of us here." The purple haired student replied with an appraising eye locked on him completely. "Due to that, U.A. left guys like us a chance. Depending on the results of the upcoming festival, transfer switches will be considered. Do good enough and you'll get into the Hero Department. Do badly and you'll get booted out. Your homeroom teacher, Eraser Head himself, was U.A.'s most recent and successful example of transferring into the Hero Department. Of course, the ones who left the Hero Department are significantly higher."
At that news, Izuku wasn't the only 1-A member to stiffen. Minoru started to shake and sweat terribly on the spot as Aizawa's words at their Quirk Assessment Test came back with a vengeance. Suddenly the 'joke' of expulsion if they didn't do their best didn't seem like a joke anymore.
Far off in the back, Mashirao patted the back of a equally nervous Toru.
"You seem to be a guy with a calm head on his shoulders compared to blondie here." Izuku's tightening hand was all that kept Katsuki from 'calmly' punching the purple haired guy's jaw. "So better make sure that your class does it best. 'Cause this is a declaration of war from Hitoshi Shinso of 1-C."
"What a bold guy." Daigoro grinned.
"But Little Ninth's gonna crush you all!" Daisy roared.
"It's the same from me, Midoriya!" Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu came up as well. "We from 1-B are gonna be challenging you guys as well! Don't go getting cocky just because you fought off some villains!"
"Is this guy serious?" Takashi frowned, a rare tone of annoyance entering his voice. "Who does he think he is, accusing Little Ninth of being cocky of all things?"
"Tetsutetsu-san, nobody's been cocky." Izuku addressed the hot blooded guy of 1-B. "We nearly died that day and three heroes got hospitalized. Do you see any of us boasting about it, even him?"
Izuku shook Katsuki's form for emphasis, causing the latter to shake the greenhead off with a scoff, pushing his way through the crowd as he walked off.
Tetsutetsu opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out, as if he was just realizing how insensitive his words were.
"Either way, there isn't a single one of us who wants to give up their seat in our class." Izuku turned back to Hitoshi as he spoke before twisting his head to look at his friends and classmates. "Unless, anyone feels differently?"
"Like hell I do!" Ochako clenched her fist.
"Very unlikely!" Tenya adjusted his glasses.
"It wouldn't be manly to give up like that!" Eijiro smashed his fist into an empty palm.
"Such a thing would be the height of inelegance." Yuga flicked his hair.
"We shall triumph over our foes." Fumikage spoke, with Dark Shadow popping out from behind him. "Search and Destroy!"
"I will defeat everyone who comes up against me. That's all." Shoto stated as he left the class as well. The other classmates made various statements of agreement as well, causing Izuku to smile as he faced Hitoshi again.
"As you can see," Izuku raised a hand to gesture to the determined faces behind him. "I think you'll find our will equal to yours."
Hitoshi's only response to that was to smile a little before leaving, causing the crowd to disperse as well. Tetsutetsu apologized and shared a quick "manly" fist bump with Izuku before leaving as well, allowing the boy to calmly close their class door, only to suddenly slump down to his knees in a nervous panic.
"Well, there goes all my confidence for the next week." Izuku shuddered, causing several of his classmates to chuckle. "No, guys, I'm serious. Don't think I'm ever going to be assertive like that for a long time."
"Don't worry, Midori-kun!" Mina yanked him up and put a supporting arm over his shoulder. "You'll be fine!"
"Thank you for defending us, Midoriya-san." Momo smiled at the blushing nerd as he feebly tried to escape Mina's arm. "Iida-san mentioned that you were hesitant of your role as the Class Rep but I now see that you've taken to it well."
"Yaomomo-chan's right, Midoriya-kun!" Toru cheered. "Can you imagine what would've happened if they assumed that we're all like Bakugo?"
Many of Izuku's classmates shuddered as they dreaded the idea of being seen as despicable enemies by the rest of the First Year students.
Ochako grinned as she took Izuku's other side, circling her arm on his shoulders while pumping the other up with her battle aura up again. "Everyone, the sports festival will be in two weeks. Let's all do our very best!"
Heartened by Ochako's words, her friends and classmates grinned at her and corresponded properly unlike the earlier time before. "Yeah!"
The next day in the afternoon, Izuku arrived to the beach in his tracksuit. He briefly paused as he marveled at the sight of Toshinori in his own tracksuit, which was coincidentally one of his own merchandise.
Of course as he did so, he totally ignored the still present huge crater from All Might's fight with the Sludge Villain, which was now filled up with seawater from the waves.
"Yagi-san!" Izuku called out as he approached, coming to stop as he noticed the bag at the man's side. "Is that boxing gear?"
"It does play a major part in my fighting skills. We'll start off with these." Toshinori wasted no time, pulling out a pair of boxing mitts from his bag and putting them on. "Come at me. Neither of us will be using Quirks anytime soon."
"Eh?! No way! Impossible!" Izuku flat out refused the impossible order he'd just been given. "Even if you're fighting like th-?!"
Toshinori slapped the top of Izuku's head with his mitt while comically spitting blood. "Stop spouting nonsense! Who said anything about fighting me?! I need to see how you throw a punch."
"...oh." Izuku bowed his head, wishing dearly that the beach sand beneath him would suddenly transform to quicksand and swallow him up. "Okay."
With a shaky sigh, Izuku wound up a fist and punched the mitt.
*paku*
Toshinori's expression was blank as he whacked Izuku's head again. "That didn't do anything, you zygote! Look!"
Toshinori took a position at Izuku's side. "Tighten your gaps. Raise your fists to eye level. Strike your target!"
With each sentence, Izuku marveled as his mentor punctuated each sentence with a corresponding movement. Afterwards, he posed again with the mitts at the ready. "Now, try again, following my instructions!"
*BAM!*
Izuku's punch was far better this time, actually managing to shift Toshinori's left arm back an inch.
"Well done, Midoriya-shounen!" Toshinori complimented, causing his Successor to duck his head and blush while enjoying the happiness his mentor's words had created in him. "Now, I'll teach you the Straight Right."
"Straight Right?"
"A move which {Texas Smash} is based on. The instant you step in, turn your waist in the motion of your striking fist." Toshinori demonstrated with his bodily movements. "Twist your shoulder inside as well."
Izuku slowly copied Toshinori's movements, muttering rapidly as his body moved rudimentarily compared to the Symbol of Peace's. "Boxing is a fighting style that primarily places emphasis on upper body strength, meaning that I'm actually unsuited for this, but if we're taking {Stockpile} into consideration, then not only is the body type requirement unnecessary, there's also the advantage that nobody's going to see it coming from someone of my statur-"
"My boy."
"I- Ah! Right..." Izuku steadied himself, breathed deeply and rushed forward with the instructions in mind. "SMAAAAAASSSHHH!"
*BTAAAAM!*
Toshinori choked as he was actually forced back some steps, a smile blooming at his lips only to falter at the blood staining his mitt. A quick and worried glance revealed Izuku still in a punching pose with a triumphant smile... and a bloody fist.
"I did it, All Might!" Izuku whooped, too elated to notice the pain. "When I did as you said-"
Toshinori caught him by the wrist, causing him to finally notice his split knuckles.
Izuku moaned as he looked down at his bandaged hand. "Sorry, Yagi-sensei."
"Don't apologize for getting injured while following my instructions, Midoriya-shounen." Toshinori gently replied as he put away the med kit he had brought on a hunch. Who knew they'd need it within thirty minutes of starting?! "While your knuckles heal, let's try for something that won't strain them."
He walked up to a nearby tree and kicked it hard, causing a lot of leaves to flutter down.
"Alright, watch this." Toshinori cocked his fists up and suddenly shot them out repeatedly at high speed. When he was done, he had caught up several leaves in his hands. "Doing this exercise was what enabled me to create {Chicago Smash}. As it relies more on speed rather than power, this should be more up your alley, Midoriya-shounen."
A sudden beep from his phone suddenly caught his attention. With a swift curse after looking at the alert, Toshinori transformed into his muscle form and fondly roughed up Izuku's hair. "Your assignment is to grab 10 leaves before they reach the ground by next week. DUTY CALLS!"
In a single bound, All Might blew up sand as he leapt right up to the top of a nearby building. In another bound, he disappeared entirely from Izuku's view.
"Next week...?" Izuku sighted one falling leaf and quickly grabbed it. "This doesn't seem so hard. I can probably get it done by tomorrow!"
Hitting the tree to cause more leaves to fall, Izuku tried again with All Might's instructions in mind, only to shout in surprise as the leaf in his hand easily slipped away as he opened it up to catch another one.
"So that's how it is..." Izuku mused as he raised up a leaf. "They're ridiculously light and easy to blow away... Speed, huh...? If All Might said I might be good at this, there's no way I can give up! I won't waste this week!"
12 Days to Sports Festival
Tenya panted heavily as he rested a bit. As a quick sip from his orange juice canteen, he went all out again.
"[Recipro Burst!]"
Tenya cracked the track ground as he pushed off, nearly losing sight of the track at the speed he was going. Such things didn't matter anyway. He had to double his top speed no matter what.
Midoriya had just shared in the group chat a picture of him exercising in the beach. Rather than training his Quirks, it seemed that he was rather training his body to handle the strain better, while integrating what seemed to be boxing into his usual combat style. Of course, in hindsight, considering his friend's habit of analyzing Quirks and finding ways to better their uses, training his body and skills instead was a good call.
Midoriya already had lots of power. What he needed was to be able to properly utilize that power. As his friend and the proud younger brother of Ingenium, how could Tenya do any less?! Rather than train his already fit body, he must power up his Quirk instead.
"[Recipro Burst: Second Gear!]"
Even as his sight blurred and he definitely tripped at breakneck speed and slammed his back upside-down against a tree, the thought never left his mind.
'I must try harder.'
10 Days until U.A. Sports Festival
Tsuyu shot through the water at high speed, easily shooting past several robotic fish as she spied the one she was hunting for. With a swift grab, her tongue grabbed her twitching prey as Tsuyu leapt out of the pool.
Wiping her hand over her face to move her hair out of the way, Tsuyu tossed the toy onto a pile of already caught ones.
With a ribbit, she leapt backwards into the pool again. As she did so, the robots sensed another of their brethren captured and then doubled their speed as programmed, ensuring that Tsuyu would have to try her best to catch them all.
8 Days until U.A. Sports Festival
While Mezo grunted as he lifted weights in the back of the gym, Toru struggled with her nineteenth pull up.
"Come... on..." Toru grunted, her sweat turning visible as it dripped down to the floor. "The only person weaker than me in the class is freaking Mineta! Push... through...!"
With a grunt, Toru finished and went for the twentieth, promptly slumping down bonelessly as soon as she succeeded.
7 Days until U.A. Sports Festival
"I AM HERE for the seventh time this week!" Toshinori and Izuku stood before a new tree. "This is the last day of the week, Midoriya-shounen. Have you succeeded?"
"Yes, Yagi-sensei! Please, watch me carefully." Izuku breathed slowly as he watched the leaves flutter downwards around him his right arm suddenly shot out at high speed, repeatedly grabbing a leaf with each back-and-forth movement.
In an instant, he was done, proudly opening his hand to display ten caught leaves. "I... I did it! 10 caught leaves! I'm so glad I kept staying up a bit later to keep practicing it during some nights!"
"...ignoring the fact that you didn't follow the training plan again... well done, Midoriya-shounen." Toshinori clapped both hands on Izuku's shoulders. "The name of the technique you have now mastered the 'Jab'!"
"'Jab'..." Izuku threw some more until his mind caught up with something he heard. "Wait a minute, 'mastered'?"
"Uh, yeah. Listen, my boy." Toshinori very awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "When I told you to catch 10 leaves in a week, apparently you believed that an utter novice like you had to use only one hand. You were free to have used both of them, though..."
"...oh." Suddenly, Izuku felt a bit stupid. In hindsight, it was obvious that he would have made the week easily if he had used both hands. Plus, {Chicago Smash} utilized both hands. All Might had never used that move with a single hand! 'Damnit!'
"Yeah, none of that. Let's not see you drown your success in depression." Toshinori raised up a boxing mitt. "Let's try this again, Midoriya-shounen. Put what you've learned into action!"
'The results of Izuku's training was staggering in terms of his growth. Not only was his speed, strength and hand-eye coordination leagues better, Izuku now showed less hesitation in punching him.
'You're like a shining star, Midoriya-shounen.' Toshinori grinned as Izuku's punches actually pushed him back a bit more than usual. 'I will do my best to ensure you go on to shine even brighter!'
6 Days until U.A. Sports Festival
Ochako held off the nausea as she levitated both herself and four massive pieces of rubble several times her size. "N-Now."
"Hmph!" A large sparkly laser tore through two of the rubble while Mina leapt of a nearby rooftop to directly land on one of them.
With a yell and a copious discharge of acid from her hands, Mina absolutely tore though the rubble and the one beneath her own like water through tissue paper.
5 Days until U.A. Sports Festival
"Die!" One last blast from Katsuki finally sent Eijiro flying from him, his {Hardening} deactivating as smoke wafted off his defeated form. "Take a 10-minute break, Shitty Hair! We go again after!"
"No problem!" Eijiro raised a thumbs up before it suddenly fell aside to the ground with a groan from it's owner.
Katsuki glared down at his forearms as scorching heat seemed to emit from them, even though he was supposed to be immune to the effects of his own explosive power. For a while now, he had been feeling a strange surge of power in his Quirk. 'Damn it. Izuku might actually know something about this.'
If it had happened a year ago back when he was still an asshole, he would've taken it for granted like the self-absorbed shit he had been.
Now that he had gotten a taste of actually saving someone, Ayako, this was worrying. He had to relearn his upper limits otherwise accidents could happen. And the last thing he needed was an accident when he was not only slowly gaining back Izuku's friendship, but now knew a kid who liked hugging him and holding his hand a lot.
"This damn festival couldn't come fast enough." Katsuki slammed his palm against his fist, grimacing as an explosion he didn't mean to create sparked off. "The more strong guys I fight, the better I can be on my way to the Number One spot!"
4 Days until Sports Festival
Electricity finally sparked away as Denki fell back unto his butt. A little ways off, Minoru fell to his hands and knees while a baseball slowly rolled at his side.
Denki had been training up his resistance and physical abilities, always pushing a bit further so that his {Volt Armor} could do better.
Minoru himself had actually been training with baseballs to train his aim and throwing strength without needlessly hurting himself.
He wasn't no reckless idiot after all. He'd just make sure to at least win his first fight so that Aizawa didn't consider him a lost cause.
Besides, as he and Denki laid side by side on the dirty track, they had the lovely sight of some 1-B girls jogging past them. He didn't know the name of the short girl with brown bob cut hair nearly covering her eyes but he definitely liked the sight of her surprisingly large boobs bouncing about.
As for the horned blonde girl beside her, the fact that she often fell forward to run on all fours only served to enhance the already excellent feature that was her jiggling ass.
And the best part? He and Denki had been here hours before these ladies arrived, which meant that he definitely couldn't be accused of just coming here to perv on girls.
If this was going to be a usual reward for letting Izuku's belief in all of his classmates sway him into putting more effort than usual in his training, Minoru definitely wouldn't mind following the Broccoli Kid's lead a while longer.
With the crackle of electricity filling the air again, Minoru followed Denki's lead and got up again, starting to aim again with his baseball against the numerous targets around.
3 Days until U.A. Sports Festival
A sleeping Izuku twitched at the feel of a finger poking his cheek. He soon opened his eyes to see a girl in a gym uniform squatting down beside his head. Long periwinkle hair ticked his face as the girl kept poking as if she were counting his freckles.
The girl's blue eyes widened as she noticed his awoken state. "Hey, there! What's your name? What are you doing here in Training Ground Omega? Is your hair black or a really dark shade of green like your eyes? Are you really the First Year Stripper from the Press fiasco?"
Izuku blinked as he reflexively sorted through the questions at high speed. "I'm Izuku Midoriya of 1-A. I'm training for the sports festival. My hair only appears green if light shines on it. That stripping was an accident!"
The girl blinked in surprise before suddenly tackling Izuku ('Don't faint! Don't faint! Don't faint!'), having no problem with throwing her weight on him. "Wow! No one other than Principal Nezu's answered all my questions in one go before!"
"Probably because of the speed you speak them." En pointed out.
"H-Hold on!" Izuku placed his hands on the girl's shoulders, pushing her up and making sure that his eyes didn't dip to the large breasts he had briefly felt against his chest. "Who are you?"
"Nice priorities." Daigoro approved. "I would've focused more on tits pressing against my chest."
Hikage rolled his eyes. "Of course, you would."
"Oh! I'm Nejire Hado, 3-A!" Nejire flashed a V-sign. "I haven't debuted yet but my Hero Alias is Wavespiral! What's yours? Oh, and your Quirk, too! Mine's {Wave Motion}, which lets me convert my vitality into shockwaves!"
"Um, Deku." Izuku blushed as he looked away. Her behavior was rather enthusiastic. Or maybe it was because a pretty girl was straight up straddling him now. "I have a Copy Quirk with seven copied ones archived..."
Then Izuku remembered what she just said about her Quirk and swiftly sat up to face her, a notebook appearing in his hands. "Your Quirk lets you create shockwaves with your vitality as fuel?! How does that work? Is it that your body creates an excess of stamina to compensate? Or did you train up your average stamina into something combat worthy? Are you immune to your shockwaves? And as for the shockwaves, how strong can they get? Are they unidirectional or omnidirectional? Can you concentrate them to unleash penetrative force rather than concussive? Can you directly push it through physical matter, tearing it apart with the resultant vibrations?"
"Easy there, Little Ninth." Daisy teased. "The girl's peppy but you might still scare her off."
Izuku blushed with embarrassment as he remembered himself and hastily covered his blushing face. "Please ignore everything I just said!"
"Eh?! No way! You're so smart, Midoriya!" Nejire took his hands off so that she could look him in the eyes. "You said that you're training, right? Train with me!"
"Eh?!"
"Yeah! Come on!" Nejire held tight as the boy tried to free himself, marveling a bit at how the short boy beneath her was rather muscular. Copycats usually tended to coast along on borrowed Quirks. "You definitely need a training partner and I want you to tell me everything you can figure about my Quirk!"
"A-Alright, Hado-senpai." Izuku surrendered.
"Wow." En clapped sarcastically. "Kid got whipped within a minute of meeting this chick. Ochako needed some days and a nickname change for that."
Releasing the greenhead, Nejire sat back on his crotch with an overjoyed grin as her whole body trembled with excitement!
"7 Quirks, huh? This is gonna be awesome!" Nejire could barely contain her anticipation, causing her to bounce up and down with joy. She did stop for a moment in confusion as she felt something poke her butt.
Izuku yelped, flinching as what he feared would happen, finally happened as the girl pressed her hands on his chest and leaned over to stare at him with an innocent(?) gleam in her questioning blue eyes. "Midoriya, are you carrying something in your pants? What kind of material is it made of? Feels kinda squishy yet hard and should it throb like that?"
"...I can't tell if she's serious or not." Daisy admitted. "And considering my first occupation, this bothers me a lot."
Shuddering as Nejire flat out groped his erection through his pants what he hoped was naïve curiosity, Izuku's head could've beaten a tomato resemblance contest at this point. "PLEASE GET OFF, SENPAI!"
Izuku winced as another {Gring Wave} slammed into his {Black Whip: Twilight Shield}. The {Black Whip} construct held up, allowing Izuku to toss Nejire away.
True to her earlier promise of not flying throughout the battle ("You can do that?!"), Nejire simply backflipped, seemingly unaware of Izuku's charge as she landed until she easily caught his punch and redirected him to faceplant the grass.
Without looking up and alerting her, Izuku used {Danger Sense} as his guide and shot three green lightning bolts at Nejire.
"Wow! Your lightning's green like you!" Nejire cheered as she created a {Spiral Shield} immediately, spreading it wide to act like a shield. As soon as she dropped it, Nejire swiftly leaned aside, dodging a blackish-green tendril of energy and grabbing it.
Spinning twice to reel Izuku in, Nejire kept her smile up as she backhanded him in the jaw. As Izuku was sent flying, Nejire was on him in an instant, wrapping her right arm around his neck to slam him into the ground.
As he laid there, Nejire aimed both hands forward, humming as familiar golden energy starting to spiral around them. "Quarter charge, Output level 50%..."
"Shit!" Izuku crossed his arms around him, summoning {Black Whip} to fully cocoon him.
"[Gring Wave!]"
The spiraling shockwaves of crashed down on Izuku and his surroundings, utterly decimating the area as trees were uprooted and rocks were shattered. The {Black Whip} cocoon fell apart, revealing the exhausted greenhead as he took in the destroyed clearing.
Before Izuku get up, Nejire slammed onto him, easily knocking the air out of his lungs and subduing him with her weight.
"I won again! How many does this make?" Nejire leaned forward in a way that Izuku still couldn't tell whether it was deliberate or not, especially with her thighs always grinding against his crotch despite her words suggesting otherwise.
"6..." Izuku groaned, a combination of exhaustion and arousal keeping him from fighting her off. "I still couldn't land a single hit on you..."
Nejire snickered as she leaned back, still putting more weight against his distressed erection. "Of course, you couldn't! There'd be something seriously wrong if a First Year with zero combat training before U.A. managed to land a punch on a Third Year like me!"
Nana nodded in agreement. "She's got a point."
There was a tiny twinge of annoyance in Izuku, which prompted him to suddenly toss his hips up, destabilizing Nejire long enough for him to switch their positions.
For a moment, Izuku panted as his body laid over hers, one hand pressing against her neck to hold her down while the other held her wrists. Nejire blinked in surprise, wondering how this had happened without even the tiniest bit of worry welling up.
"...um, should we warn him?" Takashi asked about the particular position that Izuku had taken over Nejire.
"Nah." Daigoro shook his head. "He's gotta learn on his own, remember?"
A second later, Izuku would know why as Nejire shifted her hips a bit, deliberately grinding her crotch against the visible tent in his pants. Izuku choked at the sensation and loosened his hold, allowing Nejire to slip her hands free.
"[Gring Splash!]"
A small-ish appliance of her Quirk was enough to launch Izuku clean off her, slamming his back against a tree. Izuku barely had a second to slid down before his collar was grabbed, which was swiftly followed by Nejire flipping him over to his back.
"Midoriya." Nejire straddled him again, a rare serious tone in her voice surprising Izuku who had only known her excitable side for the past hour. "Stop getting distracted by my body. Every time I rub against you, you start slowing down and hesitating."
"Ah..." Izuku flinched in shame, knowing exactly what the girl meant.
"I don't mean to chastise you too much. We're both teenagers after all." Nejire softened up a bit. "But you're gonna be fighting girls too in the festival. You've probably avoided this by either not fighting a girl at all or seeing their costumes as necessary and mentally blocking out the sex appeal. However, just like me, every girl in the festival is going to be wearing non-specialized, form fitting gym wear. Don't go staring or popping a boner on National T.V., you hear? Even if he didn't have a boner at the time, Togata-kun only managed to escape trouble because of how his Quirk worked back in our first year."
"...well, he had to learn about this at some point." Daisy shrugged. "I mean, how would he have lasted against any of his female classmates?"
"I believe one of them was actually naked, right?" Harumi questioned. "Yes, the invisible one."
Izuku nodded fervently. The sheer threat of being humiliated on live T.V. was more than enough to drive the point home and kill his rising arousal.
"Great!" Nejire got up, pulling Izuku up as well. "Well, that was a nice use of the afternoon. Thanks for sparring with me, Midoriya-kun!"
"A-Ah! You too, senpai." Izuku waved away the strangest girl he'd ever met, idly pulling his eyes away from her swaying hips to the new number on his phone before a sudden thought entered his mind. "Wait a minute!"
In a flash of viridian lightning, he blitzed to Nejire's front. "Senpai, if you were really teaching me not to be distracted when fighting a girl, why did you g-g-g-g-grab my...?"
Izuku cut off with a crimson face as he struggled to say the word right to a girl's face but thankfully Nejire instantly understood.
"Ah, right. That was over the line." Nejire rubbed her chin in thought before slapping her clenched hand into her other palm in realization. "I've got it."
Nejire grabbed Izuku's hand and then placed it right on her left breast. "Now, we're even."
Izuku's mental faculties cracked to a stop, instantly noting how his hand fit against the round flesh. With nothing but pure hormonal instinct as a guide, Izuku gently squeezed.
"Mmph~!" Izuku ignored Nejire's shudder as he mentally noted the weight pressing against his palm. It felt so soft even through the clothing yet it also had such great resilience pressing back at him. Even though he held it, it felt like his hand was trapped between sinking into the softness yet being pushed away like a warm balloon.
"She's probably got a sport bra on." Nana explained, although Izuku was too distracted to hear her. "And he can't hear me."
"It's the first breast he's ever groped." Daisy nodded her head in understand. "Men kinda conk out when boobs are flat out offered."
"Hey..." Nejire suddenly leaned over Izuku, her breath caressing his ear as she stroked his hair. "If you still wanna squeeze it, can you do it a bit gentler~?"
Izuku suddenly snapped out of it, realizing with a squawk that his right hand was outright groping her now, slowly kneading the flesh. Izuku ripped himself away hastily before running away. "I'M SORRRRRrrrrrrrryyy..."
"Oh, pooh..." Nejire, trapped in a state of slight arousal, huffed in disappointment. "Well, at least I got his number."
{PM: Wavespiral, Deku}
Wavespiral: It's fine, Midoriya-kun. I asked you to do it.
Deku: Even if you say so, I still apologize.
Wavespiral: If you don't stop apologizing, I'm gonna send you NSFW pics of me! Like this.
Wavespiral has uploaded Sensational or Sensual? .jpg
The picture showed Nejire lying on a bed in a dragon onesie which had been zipped down to below her navel and widened enough to show that Nejire did not believe in wearing underwear to sleep. With her buxom figure, the onesie looked one deep breath from revealing her full chest to the camera.
Deku: Why did you send that?!
Wavespiral: If you stop apologizing for what happened earlier, this will be the last.
Wavespiral: Until I feel like teasing you again.
Deku: Why?!
Wavespiral: You're an adorable nerd.
Wavespiral: You're nice, gentle and determined.
Wavespiral: You also make it too easy for me to tease you.
U.A. Sports Festival Day!
"You're gonna be great, Broccoli Kid!" Hisashi Midoriya encouraged his son over the video chat. "Tell him how great he's gonna be, Jin."
"Kick all their asses!" Jin Bubaigawara cheered from afar as he loaded the popcorn and butter onto the table in the lounge room. "Tear 'em apart!"
"Thanks. The both of you are great. I gotta go before I miss the train. Love you, Dad. Bye, Jin-san."
The video chat ended, allowing Hisashi to swiftly check everything with Jin.
"Popcorn."
"Check, Boss."
"Drinks."
"Non-Alcoholic in case of emergences, check."
"A cleaned nearby and private bathroom."
"Check."
"Giant basin of frozen water."
"Still not sure why you said it was necessary but check."
"It will be necessary. Recording flash drives."
"Check."
"70-inch plasma screen T.V. to watch my boy and his friends be awesome."
"Check."
"Victory banner."
"Check."
"Defeat banner that must be carefully hidden then burnt to ashes if not necessary."
"Also check."
"Ok, then. Where's Goku and Bulma?"
"They went to go watch it directly in Japan since they're on break."
"Those lucky shits! Thanks, Melissa."
Melissa Shield, a shapely and attractive pale-skinned young woman of slightly above average height with quite a round face and wavy blonde hair, simply waved away his words. "It's fine. I really want to see your son whom you keep talking about at work, Mr. Midoriya. Papa's on his way by the way."
Ayako Momogami squealed as she rushed towards the huge stadium. The U.A. Sports Festival! Aniki and his friends were gonna go at it today!
Behind her, Ayane Momogami sighed as she watched her little sister try to take in the sights, hiding the fact that she was a bit overwhelmed herself. It was her first time as well, coming into U.A. for reals after all.
"Don't say shit based on how things are now and expect them to never change, especially without giving her a chance to prove her own potential and capability."
Besides, Ayane owed Katsuki Bakugo her thanks for opening her eyes. Becoming a Pro Hero would be immensely difficult for Ayako. However, as Katsuki had pointed out that night, being a Quirkless was so much worse.
She'd felt sick when the first thing she'd seen upon putting it on Google Search was their death and disappearing rates.
"Gah!" Ayane snapped out of her musing just in time to see Ayako bounce away from the back of an injured man's leg.
As Ayako looked up to apologize, her breath caught as she looked at the blood red eyes and pale blue hair hidden beneath a hood, wondering where she had seen this man before.
Ayane had just rushed forward to pick up her fallen sister and apologize when someone else beat her to it.
Red feathers shot into Ayako's coat and lifted her to her feet before returning to the crimson plumage of the Wing Hero.
"Hey there, kid." Hawks (a.k.a. Keigo Takami) greeted as he gently closed Ayako's dropped jaw. "Don't be scared of meanie over there. He may look mean but he's just a gamer softie on the inside."
"I don't like how you're talking about me, Takami." Tenko Shimura (a.k.a. Master Breaker) scoffed as he raised a twitching hand from his crutch in Hawks's direction. "Do you want me to destroy your shades again?"
"Aw, man." Mina pulled down on her gym uniform shirt. "I was totally hoping I could wear my costume."
Mashirao stretched his arms next to her. "To keep everything fair, we can't."
Currently, the students of Class 1-A were hanging out in their designated waiting area awaiting the signal to begin heading out to the stadium. So in the meantime, they were trying to psych themselves up while calming their own nerves.
Rikido Sato nervously wrung his hands together over the table. "I wonder what the first round's gonna be..."
Fumikage was seated at his table. "No matter what they've prepared, we must persevere."
Mezo nodded his head in agreement. "Right."
"Midoriya-kun!" Nejire banged open their door with a smile on her face. "I came to wish you and your friends luck! But mostly you since you're the only one I know here!"
"Hado-senpai!" Izuku came up to her, shocking everyone at how easily the normally shy boy spoke to the pretty senior. "So you're leaving for your own stage? Good luck!"
"Thank you!" Nejire grabbed Izuku into close headlock, unminding of his face squishing against the side of her breasts as she pointed her index finger skywards. "Remember, Midoriya-kun! Rise straight to the top!"
"Hah?!" Katsuki jumped out of his chair, stomping on the tables until he reached Nejire. "The top spot belongs to me!"
"Really? I guess I'll have to motivate Midoriya-kun here to beat you all." Nejire smiled as she turned to Izuku before leaning to put her lips near his ear. Around them, several of the classmates jolted at the 'motivate' part of her words.
'Oi. Is she...?' Denki's eyes widened in disbelief.
'No... No... No...' Minoru fell to his knees. 'That bastard got a huge boobed senpai all to himself! Why can't he be a douchebag I can just curse and hate in peace?!'
Ochako said nothing, but the soda can in her hands was crushed... without her hands or fingers moving at all.
"WHAT?! AN AUTOGRAPHED RYUKYU HOODIE?!" Izuku suddenly roared in surprise as Nejire leaned away and smirked. "I'll win! I was already planning to win, but now I'm really gonna win!"
"Izuku, you fucking telling me you ain't already got one of those?!"
"Fuck no, Kacchan!" Izuku didn't even register that he had sworn at Katsuki and reverted to his nickname. "I don't have it so I must have it!"
"...right." Recognizing that old mania that pushed timid Izuku into the crazy geek that Florida Smashed him in the face years ago, Katsuki scoffed as Nejire patted Izuku's hair and made her exit. "That chick's gone and put you in Fanboy Mode."
"Midoriya."
"Todoroki-kun?" Izuku snapped out of his craze to face him. "What is it?"
The dual-haired teen approached, not caring about everyone else listening in on what he had to say. "Considering your intelligence and your Quirks, you are by far the most unpredictable and arguably the most powerful of everyone in this very room."
"H-Huh?" Izuku flinched at Shoto's words. 'He just flat out said it.'
"And despite all that, All Might has his eye on you for some reason, doesn't he?"
There was no hiding the second flinch or fear that was displayed in Izuku's expression.
"I don't mean to pry into that in the slightest." Shoto assured him. "But for all intents and purposes, you are the one to beat, today."
Izuku stared back silently even as his classmates began to whisper but when he opened his lips to talk, they quieted again. "Todoroki-kun... I may have my own reasons for wanting to win today beyond the Autographed Ryukyu hoodie-"
"Again with the hoodie." Minoru muttered.
"-but even with someone as talented as you challenging me, the best I can say is that I will be doing my best today."
"Good." Shoto nodded in agreement.
