"So where's that piece of shit that calls himself my brother?".

Ylva smiled and welcomed James Logan into her house "Welcome back James. Victor is upstairs with our son. So if you don't mind… watch your language a bit".

Logan grumbled and walked in, through the hallways and into the living room where he dropped down on the couch.

"You managed to come back pretty fast" Ylva said as she put a drink for him on the table.

"Thanks" James replied "Yeah, the mission got pretty much adjourned thanks to Victor's sudden absence. Fury is not amused. I'm supposed to bring Victor in tomorrow for a nice little reprimand from the big guy".

James suddenly sat up and looked Ylva over. "What do you see in him?" he blurted out.

"What do you mean?" she calmly replied.

"Why are with him? What do you expect from him in the future?".

Ylva blinked several times. She knew exactly what she expected from Victor in the future. The same he expected from her: to stay by his side. But it almost felt silly to admit this, especially to his brother whom she hardly knew.

"I cannot possibly tell you what will happen in the future. But I know what Victor wants and I'm starting to like that idea more and more".

"And what is it that you think Victor wants?" James asked a little cynically.

"He wants to stay together, and he wants to be with his son and take care of him".

James sighed, he almost felt bad for this beautiful woman who saved his life. Victor was not an easy guy to be around. Let along be in some sort of relationship with.

"Do you trust him?" he asked her.

Ylva inhaled sharply and thought about it for a few seconds.

Then she nodded "I do. I may not know him through and through like you, but I feel that I can trust him and that he is a reliable person when it comes to family".

James slowly shook his head and chuckled sarcastically "Victor will leave. He always leaves. He doesn't stick around".

It spiked her with anger. The insult. The carelessness. And most of all: the lie itself.

"As I recall mister Logan, it was you who left your brother and not the other way around".

Logan frowned "Listen lady, I don't know what he told you, but Victor left me no choice back then. The wars, the fighting, the bloodshed, he loved it. Way too much. It turned him into an animal so I had no choice but to leave him".

She scoffed "Is that what you tell yourself? Does that help you sleep at night?" she raised her brows and gave him the most cynical look possible "Because it doesn't change a thing mister Logan. It was you who left him. It was you who left the brother who raised you, protected you and taught you how to control your inner beast. But he did not abandon you when you were dying on that surgeon's table due to adamantium poisoning" she narrowed her eyes and moved in on the bigger feral man, poking his chest with her slender finger "So don't you come into my house, telling me lies about the father of my child. Because next time you open up that mouth of yours and talk shit, I will rip out your shiny claws and shove them down your throat. Got that? 'Bub'?".

He was speechless for only a few seconds and then roared in laughter "You… little lady, are in love with him".

"I am not" she replied calmly.

"You're as crazy as he is. And you fucking want him as your mate".

"Do not be ridiculous James".

"You want him as your mate" Logan simply stated again.

"Piss off".

"You want him".

"Do not".

"You do".

"I don't!" she screamed in his face.

"Then why are you defending him?" Logan simply asked.

She inhaled sharply, this was none of his concern. "He saved my life when I was just a little girl. He was sent to kill me and instead he set me and my brother free. Giving me a real chance at life. And yes, he abducted me, treated me poorly, at least at first he did. But he did it to save your life. Again. How many times did he save your sorry ass hm?".

Logan scoffed out another laugh "Look at you getting your claws all in there. You must really fucking like the guy. Did you enjoy his company ten years ago?".

"Maybe I did, what's it to you?".

"Nothing" Logan shrugged "Just saying: might as well mark him as your mate if you're all hot and bothered to get in the ring when someone insults him. My job is done here" Logan nonchalantly chuckled as he turned around.

Wait, was this a set up? Did he provoke her to make some kind of point?

Logan indeed had to take Victor to the SHIELD headquarter to speak with Fury about this mission he royally fucked up. He promised Liekos it wouldn't take more than a few hours and he would be back before nightfall.

Ylva walked him out and wished him much luck but Victor simply grabbed her ass and told her he didn't give a shit about Fury's bullshit. He simply wanted to get back home and fuck her brains out.

Bridget was just cleaning out the kitchen when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it" Ylva called out to her from the hallway.

When she opened the door, a tall man in a grey suit held out his hand "Hello, my name is Graydon and I'm here to deliver a message to my father".

Before she could reply he pulled her towards him, stuck something sharp into her lower stomach and turned it around 360 degrees.

Her animal instincts didn't hesitate one second. Just when he was about to run off, she grabbed his throat and slammed him into the doorpost "Who are you and why should I not kill you right now?!" she growled into his face as she pressed him up against the doorway.

Her eyes had changed color, her teeth grew out and her talons were breaking the skin on his neckline.

The man almost choked on her fierce grasp. It seemed he was mistaken, this was not an ordinary woman but a filthy mutant just like Victor Creed himself.

"My name-" he tried to say as he coughed loudly "Is Graydon… Graydon Creed. Son of the animal you offered a home to".

Ylva's eyes grew big and she forgot all about the knife still stuck in her abdomen "You… are you… you are Victor's son?" she gasped out as she quickly let go of the man's throat.

He quickly took a step back "Sadly I am, and I'm here to let him know that whatever he loves, I will take from him".

And with that, Graydon Creed was gone. Ylva was still blurred with confusion. Victor's son? Victor had another son?

"Oh my God!" Bridget gasped as she stared at Ylva's stomach in horror "What the hell happened".

Bridget's sudden present brought Ylva straight back to reality and she quickly pulled out the knife with a painful groan "Apparently a blast from Victor's past tried to kill me".

"You need to go to a hospital!".

Ylva's calm made Bridget all the more hysterical.

"No, it's fine, the healing factor will take care of it, I guess that man didn't know I am a mutant. But it's already healed so it's fine. Just hurts like hell though".

"So who was that man?" Bridget asked in a hushed tone, suddenly remembering Liekos was still upstairs.

"Apparently that was Victor's son" Ylva said with a blank expression. Still taking in what she had just found out. It was basically the only reason she let go of the man's throat. She could hardly kill Victor's son.

"Jesus" was all Bridget managed to say to that.

"Yeah, well" Ylva shrugged "I'm going inside to change my clothes with something a little less bloody and check on Liekos".

"Listen" Bridget halted her as she stared at the floor beneath Ylva's feet "I'm taking you to a hospital".

"It's really not necessary -"

"Ylva" Bridget pointed at her feet "You're still bleeding".

Ylva looked down at her feet. A little puddle of blood was forming on the floor, more blood slowly streaming down her legs.

"But" she stuttered "I… I have a healing factor".

AN: and now I'm going to write the next chapter whilst listening to some suitable music. It really helps to listen something which is relevant to the story you're writing lol xD

Oh and btw, the next chapter will most likely be the last...
