Hey y'all! I had this thought rolling around in my head and thought that y'all would like it.
Summary: What if Paige and Walter already knew each other?

Paige Dineen placed a plate on the table in front of her with a smile before inquiring if they needed anything else. Getting a negative reply, she walked back around the counter and checked in with her son Ralph. Looking around the diner she caught sight of a couple at one of the tables and she took in a quick breath at seeing the man. She knew him but thought that she would never see him again after that night.
A little bit later the man came back with a group of people including someone from Homeland Security. They basically took over the diner and kicked everyone out. She was about to grab her son Ralph and leave when her boss demanded she stay while he left. She observed the group as they worked and saw that the man was standoffish and almost rude to people. He wasn't like that all those years ago. Something had changed him.
After helping him save all those people on the plane, she left to go pick up Ralph and go home. That night she sat in bed and thought about what had happened many years ago. She thought about the man that she knew then. The man she knew had made her laugh and feel like she could do anything she wanted. She had been in love with him. Hell, she was still in love with him!
Apparently, he didn't feel the same way. He didn't even acknowledge that he knew her! He didn't even call her by her name. She didn't even know if he remembered her name. It had been years since she had seen him and she knew he was a genius but that didn't mean that he hadn't forgotten her. She didn't know if she was ever going to see him again and she didn't know if she wanted too either.
The next day she was woken up to a knock on the door. Stumbling she pulled open the door to be greeted by the man she was thinking about last night, Walter O'Brien. She was surprised to see him and she knew her face showed that, "Can I help you?" Walter O'Brien seemed like his brain was rebooting and it took her a second to realize it was because she was in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. She opened the door further and gestured for him to come in.
After the pair had sat down on the couch and she had grabbed a blanket to put over her legs she decided to start the conversation, "How do you know where I live?" Walter gave her a look, "I hacked the DMV. Technically I did it years ago." Paige shot him a look, "Years ago?" Walter simply nodded. Paige gulped, "So you do remember me?" Walter nodded, "I could never forget you Paige. I came because I want to offer you a job with Scorpion. I also wanted to give you this." He extended an envelope towards her. Grabbing the envelope, she opened it to see that it was a check. She shot him a look with a raised eyebrow. He got the message and was quick to explain, "It was for the help yesterday. So, will you join us at Scorpion?"
Paige thought for a few minutes before looking at him, "What would my job be?" Walter was quick to answer, "You'll help us navigate the real world." Paige shot him a look, "I didn't think that you'd need help navigating the real-world Walt. You didn't before." Walter gave a small sneer, "I'm not the same man from before. I haven't been for years. So, are you in or not?" Paige was quick to nod, "I'm in."
Walter nodded, "Good. Here is the address. I'll see you later today." Standing he quickly walked towards the door. Paige called out to him, "Walter!" Turning he just looked at her. She decided to bite the bullet and ask, "Do the others know about us?" Walter shot her a confused look, "What would I tell them?" Paige shot him a look, "That we are married and that Ralph is your son. You wouldn't be here if you didn't remember me and figure out who Ralph is." Walter simply shook his head and turned and left the apartment, leaving Paige alone to her thoughts.
