***So...I have been waiting forever to write my rendition of how it may have felt like for Nathan to sleep with Audrey after she recombined with Mara...because let's be honest here...them having sex after that was pretty much bound to happen after he was able to feel her again.***
**This is going to be set after Charlotte recombined Audrey and Mara and it will also detail Nathan's thoughts over it happening and so on.**

Reunited At Last
It all occurs so very fast for Nathan to even understand what he just witnessed as he watches Mara disappear in front of his eyes...leaving Audrey in her wake...or what he hopes is Audrey laying beside Charlotte.
'Oh please let it be Audrey...because if it is still Mara and I lost Audrey for good...I don't know if I would be able to survive Mara a second time.' He thought, mentally praying that the blonde haired form was his Audrey as he stood there with his heart pounding.
"Audrey?" He replies, the same feeling of apprehension filling his voice that he had when he figured out that Lexie was really his Audrey in disguise.
At the sound of his voice, the woman that he desperately hoped was Audrey turned around to face him and Duke and still his doubts lingered as she stared at him with a look of adoration that he was used to and even relished seeing on her face whenever she stared at him.
Charlotte explains to them that in an effort to redeem Mara...she had quickly realized that Mara was far too gone to be redeemed and so she decided to choose Audrey to save.
"It's me...Nathan...it's actually me." Audrey replied, a smile on her face as he still was in disbelief that this was actually real.
And so he tried again.
"Audrey." He says again, this time a little more confident than the first time as he watches her smile wider in response.
"Parker."
This time she is the one running to him as he stands there with a dumbfounded look stuck on his face until she was suddenly in his arms and he can't help but return the hug, where he is bombarded with the sweet senses of her as she clung to him.

"Thank you...next time you might as well just start with that..." Duke replied, turning his back as things started to go to hell moments after Charlotte said that as the four of them watched as what looked like to be a fog wall began to form up around the town of Haven.
'What the hell is going on...' Audrey thought, as they all watched as Duke's body began to fly into seizures and black balls of aether began to shoot out of his eyes and into the sky where they went all over Haven.
'Mara the bitch lied...' Nathan thought, taking a step back and grabbed onto to Audrey and held on as they both tried to keep back from what was going on with Duke.

Everything that happened immediately after Duke had exploded all of the troubles trapped inside of him was all a blur as Audrey and Nathan attempted to do damage control over the chaos that Mara had caused Duke to create, but even all the damage control they were doing to contain the outbreak of troubles was not enough as it seemed like there was just way too many troubles going off all at the same time and not enough backup to go around as the decision for the guard to maintain order within Haven was immediately made after the entire department of HPD disbanded. Not everyone was a fan of the decision, Nathan especially, but it was what ultimately was needed to be done to keep Haven from bursting at the seams.
Watching Duke abandon them beyond the fog was something so shocking that the pain of him leaving was almost too much to bear even though they understood Duke's reasons, which they did, but it still didn't make the hurt of it all go away nor did it make that nagging feeling that they were now on their own with their link to the outside world temporarily broken until they could figure out a way to bring down the fog wall surrounding all of Haven.
And now as Audrey and Nathan climb into the safety and comfort of Nathan's blue bronco after having a conversation with Charlotte over the start of a possible plan to end the troubles forever, they can't help but feel helpless and hopeless for the first time ever in the fight of the troubles as they sat silently for awhile. Until Audrey couldn't stand the silence anymore and decided to break it as she watched him sport an expression that was similar to the one she had recently been sporting herself. Shock and disbelief at everything they had just endured together in the efforts to keep a town under control while knowing that they both had to prepare for the rough times to come until they could find a way to end the troubles for good.
"So...what do we do now?" Audrey asked, looking over towards Nathan to catch his startled look at the sudden sound of her voice in the silent filled cab and she gave him an apologetic look as she waited paitently for him to reply.
Good question. Where can they go from here as they obviously can't go back to staying over at Audrey's apartment over The Gull as that was out of the question given the fact the whole town knows that Duke was the cause of this trouble outbreak and Nathan simply couldn't risk leaving Audrey there overnight to defend herself from looters and thieves. Even though he knew that she would have absolutely no trouble in defending herself.
The only option left was to help her pack up all of her things and move her into his house as it was clear to him that they weren't going to be safe if they decided to stay one last night in her apartment before packing up in the morning where there was no guarantee that they would be safe. A future that was now unknown.

"Nathan..." Audrey replied, after a while of not hearing his response to her question and beginning to worry each minute that he didn't say anything while givng his hand a gentle squeeze.
"Um...you'll be staying with me at my place for the time being as I don't feel comfortable letting you stay at your apartment with the possiblity of someone breaking in and looting the place and hurting you in the process. That being said...we will go to your apartment right now so that I will help you pack up everything and anything that you'll need for staying at my place." Nathan replied, after a long silence of not saying anything and watched as Audrey slowly took in that information and seemed momentarily that she was going to disagree with him before changing to an accepting look.
"Will you be making pancakes once we arrive at your place?" Audrey asked, drawing imaginary lines on his palm with her thumb as she looked to see his facial expression switch from troubled to a boyish grin at the mention of pancakes.
"Definitely. In fact...pancakes sounds great right about now...considering the day we just had." Nathan replied, chuckling as he smiled to himself and at her as he relaxed for the first time in weeks since getting Audrey out alive from Mara.
"So...what are we waiting for?" Audrey asked, clipping on her seatbelt as she watched him clip his on.
His only response was to smile and put the bronco into drive as he prepared to drive the route to Audrey's apartment for the very last time before she would be living with him in his house.

"This seems just so surreal..." Audrey murmured, stuffing a duffle bag full of all her clothes as Nathan grabbed the remaining wines that she had stored in a nearby cabinet as well as clearing out the contents of her refridgerator and pantry.
"I know...I'm just trying to figure out the last time we were alone together in your apartment...in your bed." Nathan replied, a wink in his eye as he turned from the open fridge to look in her in the eyes.
"Hmm...that would be after the split from Mara and as I recall you were very insistent on getting me naked and into my bed that you ambushed me with kisses from the minute I walked out of my bathroom wearing nothing but a towel." Audrey stated, a smile forming on her face as she met his eyes which had matching desire in them.

Audrey didn't bother in hiding the smirk forming on her face at the sight of Nathan reacting to finally being able to feel her in this way again after so many weeks of not being able to feel her. While she was confident in believing Nathan when he stated her immunity to his trouble wasn't the reason why he loved her and that her compassion and willingness to help troubled people was the reason behind him loving her, the spark that they used to exhibit in the bedroom had all but dwiddled away in the absence of her immunity and it just hadn't been the same since their very first night that they had sex.
Though, if she was being honest with herself, the very first night they had sex was probably the hottest night of her life as he had her coming apart multiple times while simultaneously cursing herself for denying him invitation to her bed months prior.
And as she stared down at the man in question to find him giving her the wide eyed smile she was familiar in seeing him form on his face whenever he entered her and counted herself lucky to be with a man who loved her so much he had been willing to be around an evil version of her in order to find a way to save her life.
"Do you want me to go slow or do you want to go fast?" Audrey asked, getting herself comfortable she was sitting on his cock as she felt him twitch a little at the movement.

However, the sound of Audrey's stomach growling nix that idea as they reluctantly pried apart from each other and Nathan let out a soft laugh as he stared at her.
"So...pancakes?" Nathan asked, in between a soft breathy laugh as he continued staring at her to see her face morph into a smile as she laughed softly.
"Definitely pancakes..." Audrey replied, getting up along with him to search for her discarded articles of clothing.
They kept on laughing as they got dressed together and while they playfully chased each other towards the kitchen as Nathan retrieved two plates full of pancakes from the warming area of the oven.
Audrey and Nathan took the time to enjoy their pancakes even while knowing that come the next morning...it would be the start of things to come in a now trouble-filled Haven.
And Haven would most likely never be the same again.
***To be honest...I had real doubts of ever finishing this story because of how busy my life has become as a college student these days and college is no picnic in the park. But...I finished it and I am real proud of myself for being able to finish this story because I had to let it be for about five months. That being said...I have some other writing projects in the works right now that you probably won't be seeing until early June or mid June depending on when I get done with them. **I also plan on doing a multi-chapter story called Fantasies where I will write one-shots detailing a different fantasy that Audrey and Nathan would partake in together. I got the idea for it after watching that one fantasy/wet nightmare scene that Nathan had of him and Audrey in 4.07 of Haven since I never could get over the fact that Nathan had fantasized about Audrey in that way and how he would seduce her into bed ALWAYS blew my mind because he was always so quiet and reserved that you never pegged him for being the spicy one in the relationship...but you know what they say about the quiet ones...they are secretly good in bed! Anyway...I already have at least ten different fantasy one-shot chapters thought out.**
