The station was a flurry of movement when Buzz arrived, he was shocked to see that Henry had been called in as well and could see him talking to the Chief in her office. He left Mary eating a tin of tuna as he went in to give his report.
"McNabb" the Chief addressed him.
Buzz nodded, "Chief, seems like a dead end I'm afraid. She seemed to be expecting us and so knew that something had happened and as she is being kept in solitary confinement is something"
Henry nodded agreeing, "But that doesn't tell us whether she has arranged this whole thing or just knows who did"
"She said she would only speak to Shawn"
"Shawn? What's this about Shawn?" Juliet blurted as she and her partner Lassiter entered through the door.
"Pardon the interruption Chief, we got the footage back. The only thing is picks up is an average sized male wearing a big hat. No help whatsoever"
"Great" the Chief sighed. "Keep studying the footage, we can't afford to miss anything"
"Yang said she would only speak to Shawn. She insinuated that he would come if we called"
They all frowned.
"Look, I don't know when or if he ever planned to come back but I know him… he would have left someone his number"
"Well I'm sure Guster would have called by now and he's not here" Lassiter barked, "We can solve this without him"
"She…" Buzz stuttered and then thought better about it.
"What is it?" Henry questioned.
All eyes were on Buzz. "She seemed to think that as the last person he spoke to that I would have his number"
"What?" Henry blurted.
"He came to see me in the hospital to say goodbye… but I swear he didn't give me anything" his eyes were pleading at Henry to believe him.
Henry paused in thought, "What belongings did you have with you in the hospital? What did he touch?"
"He just talked to me…. Actually he knocked over my wallet and put it back on the table…" Buzz thought aloud, reaching into his pocket and taking his wallet out.
It was a long shot but Buzz started emptying his entire wallet onto the Chief's desk and the team started shifting through his different cards.
"Window washing company? Really?" Henry grumbled.
Buzz's eyes perked up.
"That's not mine, I don't remember having that in my wallet"
Buzz flipped over the card, it read " Matthews"
"Well, it's worth a shot"
"Only one way to find out" the Chief stated, "Detective, close the door. McNabb, guard the door and ensure we aren't disturbed. My phone is secure, Henry, on speaker please"
McNabb jumped up immediately and closed the door behind him. He was the only one who didn't know the full story after all.
The sound the ringing tone filled the office with silence.
"Hello, you've reached Johnsons Window cleaning service, how can I help you?"
"Hello, please can I speak to Matthews?"
"I'm sorry, no one by that name works here. We provide residential, commercial and high rise window cleaning service, how can we help?"
The others in the room seemed to deflate but Henry was determined.
"Listen, this is 25784B requesting to speak to Agent Matthews now, it's an emergency"
Eyebrows were raised and there was a moments silence on the other end of the phone.
"One moment, please hold"
Henry smiled in triumph, they were getting somewhere.
"I'm sorry, the person you are after is currently not in the office, please try again later"
"Look this is an emergency, I need to speak with him now. Connect me to his mobile, its urgent"
"I wouldn't advise that Sir"
"I don't care now connect me to my son"
There was silence again and then suddenly the phone started ringing.

Agent Matthews was crouched low to the ground, his paint gun held tightly to his chest. It was something that he actually enjoyed as part of training. He would insist on taking whoever wasn't working paint balling except they would all play like the pro's they are. He got very competitive when he was playing. He was silent, listening to the echos of the gun shots of the other members to deduce their positions and was startled when his phone started ringing.
"Shit" he cursed. He scrambled for the phone immediately ready to press silent but he recognised the number and held it to his ear instead.
"What?" He barked, his eyes darting around his surroundings.
The ringing had attracted attention. He cursed inwardly, when would he learn to put his phone on vibrate?
"Shawn? Is that you?"
Agent Matthews froze, "Henry? Oh shit?" Two gunshots echoed down the line and he dropped the phone from his ear and began running to take cover behind the safety of a small barracks like hut.
The phone was making faint noises and so he raised it to his ear once again.
"Hello?"
"Shawn? Are those gunshots? Are you ok?"
"You called at a really bad time dad….., who's with you? Am I on speaker? How did you get this number" he whispered in to the microphone with urgency.
"We are with the Chief, Lassiter and Juliet and… we got the number from Buzz , it's a secure line don't worry so you can speak freely. Son, are you safe?"
Matthews let out a small sigh of relief,
"For now" Matthews affirmed, "But I don't have long till they find me so talk quickly, what's the emergency?"
"We think Yin has surfaced. We found a body on the beach outside my house this morning and apparently Yang will only talk to you. Shawn, do you need back up?"
"Well, shit ok" he spoke back, sounds like he is needed back in Santa Barbra. "I'll meet you by your house tomorrow. If I leave now I reckon I can be there by nine o'clock tomorrow morning."
"You're coming?"
"Of course, I just have something to finish first?" Agent Matthews readied his gun, he was going to have to finish this quickly.
"Be Safe son, see you tomorrow"
Matthews smiled to himself. He had missed his dad. In fact he missed everyone in Santa Barbra. But he knew that his own happiness could not last. He could quite happily live out the rest of his life as Shawn Spencer but he knew the CIA would never let him. He was too much of an asset to be let go. Heading back to Santa Barbra though, it was going to hurt so much more leaving the second time, maybe it was best to focus on the case and not get too involved.
Matthews hung up the phone and stood up, walking into the middle of the field. Inviting everyone to take a shot at him. He closed his eyes and ducked immediately to the left having sensed the paint coming flying towards him and he sent a shot back and smiled upon hearing the disgruntled gasp as it hit its target. Two to go.
He kept his eyes closed and listened intently before firing a couple of shots to his right and hearing that satisfactory grunt.
There was no sign of the final agent and so he slowly creeped forward. Suddenly he shivered and he spun round and fired a random shot into the darkness.
"Bitch!" A female voice cursed as his shot landed.
Matthews laughed out loud. "Got you!"
"Oh Suck it Matthews" the woman spat before firing a shot at his chest.
"Very mature" he retorted.
The woman just shrugged.
"I'll see you later, I've got a case"
The woman nodded and walked off. Agent Matthews followed in the same direction to change out of his clothes and inform his superiors of the new developments, he had to get back to Santa Barbra. It was time to become Shawn Spencer again.

There was a moment of silence after the phone hung up before Juliet started squealing.
Henry grimaced, "I hope he's ok, I don't think we rang at a particularly good time"
The Chief nodded, "Have faith Henry. He'll be fine. You better ring Guster, he will want to be there to greet him"
Henry nodded and whipped out his mobile to ring Gus.
"See you all in the morning. Bring him straight to the station" The Chief dismissed them.
They all left the office. Lassiter went straight to his desk and opened his folder of everything they knew so far which was pretty much a whole lot of nothing. He resigned himself to one more look through the security footage before heading to bed. He would never admit it out loud but he missed Shawn and was anticipating his arrival. He had acted like such an idiot, to know that he was responsible for taking down Vixon and worked with the CIA…. He was obviously smarter than he let on. It was just such an annoyance to him that the Chief had rejected him at first causing him to play psychic and be so…ridiculous. Had Shawn been an actual detective, Lassiter had a feeling that they would actually be able to work together well. It would be nice without all the silliness and shenanigans after all.
A/N, yay so he's finally coming home!
