AN: This story has been on the edges of my head for days, so i thought I should put in writing.
Hope you enjoy, seeing Kevin get his epic love in this little story.
Chapter 1
Madison sat in her car and stared at the door to the house she was parked in front off. Life was about to get complicated. Well more complicated.
Pregnant with twins, for your best friend's brother, who happens to be a movie star and one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood, was complicated. Moving in with said movie star would be the more complicated part. Especially, since she barely knew him.
Kevin had thought up the plan. He wanted to be as involved as possible and that meant being with him 24/7. How she was going to handle this was anyone's guess. She's never lived with anyone before. She's never been pregnant before. She's never been truly in love. So many "nevers", were certainly being erased, while others were proving unmovable. It's certainly going to be an adjustment, but she needed to be ready for her life to be up heaved. Taking a deep breath, she opened her door to get out of the car, getting ready to start her new normal.
Kevin watched from the front window as Madison sat in her car. She'd been there for about 10 minutes already, probably deciding if to turn back around. He knew that his suggestion to move in together was unusual but he truly believed it was going to be the best decision. Madison and him, needed to understand each other, because for the rest of their lives, they are going to be intricately linked. His children , wow those words still sounded surreal even in his head, were not going to have the childhood he had always hoped he would give them, but they were going to have parents who respected each other at the very least, and were friends at the very best.
He looked on as Madison moved to open the door to the backseat of her small, blue Toyota Corolla, and reached in and pulled out a small suitcase. Seeing that as his cue, he went to the front door and opened it, just as she was starting to roll the suitcase up the front walk.
"hey, let me help you with that." Kevin casually called out as he started down to meet her.
"I'm good with this, but there are some boxes in the backseat that you can probably help me with. They're too heavy for me to handle on my own." Madison said as he stopped in front of him.
"Sure, you go on in, I'll show you to your room when I get back."
Madison watched as Kevin walked towards her car. She wondered what he wondered. This was going to be strange to say the least.
Kevin walked to the car and observed that the backseat and front seat was jam packed with boxes. For a tiny car, it sure seemed to hold a lot. He reached into the backseat and reached for the first book, marked "Fragile" which was teetering on top of another box marked books. Gently taking the fragile box, he started up the walk, only to notice Madison standing in the doorway, staring at the interior of the house. She didn't seem to have made it all the way inside as yet.
"Everything okay?" he asked as he walked up behind her. The box rattled softly as he switched the weight between his arms. She looked a little dazed and a lot apprehensive as she stared in.
"What? Oh Sorry," she said as she shook herself from her reverie and painting a smile that didn't quite meet her eyes on her face. "I just realised that I've never even seen your place and now we're going to be living together."
"Yeah, it's a little strange but we'll get the hang of this."
She looked up at him with a small smile and a tilt to her head and walked into the house. Something about that look, pulled at Kevin. She looked so lost in that moment.
"Madison" he called after her as he stepped into the foyer, "Are you okay?"
With a nod, she replied, "Sure", but Kevin couldn't shake that look he saw from her face.
Madison it seemed had a little sadness in her. He saw it because he had a little sadness in him.
