Chapter 32: Overwhelmed

The world around her footsteps crumble underneath her as if she was lighter than the surface beneath. As she awoken with the clear vision of her newest reality, it became like a dream. She still couldn't believe what was happening around her. This wasn't just possible, but it was. Dean Winchester was back from the dead! Alexandra has a hard time believing that she loved so dearly is actually alive and breathing. It just seemed scary and so unreal to her mind. She knew that supernatural exists but the thought never crossed her mind that she would actually have him back in her life.

She awoke to the cymbals that crashed like waves in the ocean. She looked over to her left of the bed, found the man staring up at the ceiling fan. She couldn't believe he was really back - Dean was back from the dead. This was the news or the ages at least for the Jones family. She hadn't even come to terms with what just happened last night or - yesterday.

"Y-you are actually here?" She whispered as she caught his eyes. She watched him inhale and then breath out. Dean's tired smile made her stomach turn with butterflies.

"Yeah, I am, Alex, I told you I would be back." She smacked his chest with her bony elbow.

"Not funny." She muttered, throwing the sheets off her body and stood flat on the balls of her feet.

His smile faded away. "I'm sorry, Alex." Her heart did a flip against her chest like a tumbleweed.

"You gotta leave before my brother comes back… I-I just need sometime to explain - to think about what just happened." She blurted out quickly as she watched his facial expressions carefully.

Dean got out of her bed too and nodded sadly as he slid on his jeans and started to lean towards her, but her hand stopped him. His heart fell out of his chest. Did she still love him? He wasn't sure. He ducked out the room, trying to hide his breaking heart.

"Yeah.. I get it. Take your time. No rush." He started with a short wave and he closed the door behind him.

With knots in her stomach, Alexandra raced toward the bathroom and threw open the toilet seat cover. Once she finished throwing up, she wiped her mouth with some toilet paper and flushed it. She leaned against the cool tile with her head and groaned.

He got back into Baby, driving down Main Street and heading out of there as fast as he could. He knew he had one person he had to see and he was actually afraid. He hadn't seen her since before he went to hell.

"Wha--" The words were cut off from the woman's lips.

Alice, his sister stood in her doorway, shocked beyond belief. There's no way that can be him. No way. He was in hell because he made a deal. She began shaking her head in denial and started to shut the door. Dean's hand stopped her and she finally looked into the emerald-green eyed imposter. It can't be her brother that was standing in her doorway.

"It's me, Al." Alice definitely shook her head. "I know it sounds crazy, maybe because it is. But it's really me. I'm not a demon, shapeshifter - I'm Dean." She has to be going crazy. Lexie told her that he was ripped to shreds. This wasn't her brother. He wasn't standing in front of her. She had lost her mind.

"N-N-No… you can't b-be him!" He watched as his sister's eyes flooded with tears. "You can't possibly be him! Dean is Dead! My brother--!" She caught herself off as a growl came off her lips. "GET! OUT! OF! MY! BROTHER!"

Dean had forgotten how strong Alice was. It didn't take long before Alice had a blade against his skin. Inhaling a breath, Dean watched carefully as she raised the switchblade, getting ready to stab him. He grabbed her wrist, twisting it back. The blade fell on the ground with a loud thud. "It's me, Alice. Please…. please don't hurt your baby bro!" The man cried.

Alice's eyes followed the direction her knife fell. He looked like her brother. She couldn't take anymore heartbreak. When she heard about her father's death from Bobby for fuck-sake, her heart couldn't believe it. John Winchester, that great hunter had lost. Her brothers didn't have the decency to try to find her. And then when her brothers finally found her, she didn't get a lot of time with them. Dean went to hell! Sam took off again after Lexie's attempt, the only one who had her back was FP.

"Prove it!" She challenged, looking at the imposter in their Dean-like-eyes.

The man with short hair held his hands up." Your name is Alicia Susanna Winchester. Your favorite weapon of choice is Colt M1911A1. You have two daughters; Elizabeth, Polly Cooper-Smith and a son, Charles Smith." Alice shook her head.

"That doesn't prove anything. You could just look that up in the Riverdale history!" She spat.

He takes a deep breath." You have two younger brothers, Dean Michael Winchester and Samuel James Winchester. Your father is John Winchester, sold his soul for his son." He watched her carefully. He could tell from the way her eyes started widening that she was shocked. "Your mother, Mary Winchester - she tucked you into bed, checked on your brothers. On November, 2nd, 1983 she walked into Sammy's bedroom and never walked out. You saw her on the ceiling, stomach sliced-open, bleeding, screaming but no words were coming out. Your brother, Dean latches onto you, screaming for your daddy and mommy. You were ten-years-old when you had to pull Dad out the room, while he handed me, Sammy." Alice blinked back furious tears, unable to comprehend what he told her.

Was this really Dean? Demons lie. She remembered the day very vividly, almost too well. "S-Still…"

Dean slowly approached his big sister, seeing her swaying backwards. "Remember, the day you found out I snuck out- Dad was pissed… he was hunting that spirit in Chippewa Falls during 1986. You found me in…."

"... I found Dean in the lake nearly drowned. Dad… he drove all the way back and found us, me and Sammy trying to get him to breathe…" Tears started trickling down her cheeks. "It took over ten minutes… I-I thought he'd died. I remembered the sheer fear in Dad's face. He…" Alice couldn't go on any longer.

Dean noticed this and took over,"…. He yelled, and yelled but then he took us out for ice cream. My throat was so sore…. you taught me how to talk to girls, even my first sex talk… until the day you left." He watched her to see if she remembered. "Remember when you were 15, the day the ghoul got you. I never saw so much damage, Dad… he was crying, like it was so bad. When we found you were barely breathing…. after we got to the hospital you'd woke up…."

"...I screamed at him. I told him I was done, the look of horror on his face as I slammed the door, got into the car… that was the last time I saw him… alive." She gasped as her eyes flew wide open with a realization." Dean?" A hand fell over her mouth. "Oh, my… god, it's really you!" She sobbed into her hand.

Dean's eyes were also red as he slowly crept closer to Alice. He hadn't seen her since before he was torn apart by hellhounds. Alice pulled him tightly towards her, latching her arms around his neck. She couldn't stop herself. He was actually here, alive in her arms! She could feel his heart beating against her cheek, while her head was pressed against his chest.

"H-How?" She stuttered as she wiped away her tears with the sleeve of her blouse. "I-I mean you were dead, Dean. How are you even here?"

Alice pulled away from him. Dean exhaled. This was going to be hard to explain. How was he supposed to explain that he'd been raised from perdition by the angels to stop the seven seals from breaking? He had a hard time understanding it himself. How was he supposed to tell her that he was sent back in time, that their mother is actually a hunter, their mom actually made a deal for their dad, and sold Sam to the Azael?

How was she supposed to explain this? Lexie paced around the small house, taunting her mind on what she was going to do. She couldn't just say; Hi, FP, you know my boyfriend that went to hell, well he's back from the dead. She shook her head. This was all very overwhelming. Hell it was kinda insane, no borderline insane. But it was all true. Dean is back.

Three hours later, Lexie heard the door swing open. She cocked her neck around to see who it was. A smile hits her lips when she catches that it is indeed her brother.

"Hiya, Lexie!" FP announced happily as he came over to the couch and pulled into a welcoming hug. His smile made her nerves gain electricity that was caused by the secret brewing over top of her head. FP sensed something was bothering his sister. He could read her like the old phrase 'like a book' and there was definitely in her that seemed unlike Lexie. He took off his sheriff hat and placed it down on the side-table next to the couch.

"For…" His sister started to worry him. He didn't like the look on her face and began to feel nervous.

"Lex… what is it? Are you okay?" Here goes nothing, Lexie thought as the news built in her stomach.

By time was finished her brother had a look of disbelief written into his features. I mean who wouldn't if they've been told that their little sister's boyfriend that went to hell and died- is now alive and back! This wasn't the news he was expecting to hear when he got home from work.

Dean is alive. That thought never crossed his mind. He turned to face his sister, who gave a nod. "Uh…. wow…" The brother stammers nervously," H-H...How?"

Lexie shrugged her shoulders upwards," I-I don't know, FP… he literally showed up yesterday… I never got a chance to ask him."

FP's head fell against the couch." Holy, fuck…" He breathed out as he ran a hand over his face.

"Yeah…" Lexie whispered, burying her head in her brother's chest. "What the fuck am I going to do?"

It wasn't like he had an answer for her. He was still comprehending what she just told him. I mean if his sister told him anything else he would be able to understand, but this? No, this was another kind of crazy. He thought he had enough crazy to last a one lifetime… apparently he was wrong. Very wrong.

Lexie sat in the booth, sipping at her strawberry milkshake, watching the room with a practiced look. The sun blended through the translucent windows, reflecting onto the table. She kept a good eye on Pop's door, waiting for the signal.

"Lex!"

Lexie turned her head around and saw Lauren Jules walking in Pop's door. She hadn't seen her since before Dean came back. The rest of the group wasn't available to hangout. Julia is in Spain with her work, discovering a new species.

"I heard about…" She stopped, sliding into the booth with a sympathetic look on her face,"What happened to you." Lauren's eyes started watering.

Lexie hadn't forgotten what she was talking about. Her phone was blowing up with messages and calls from her friends. She guessed FP told them. Her suicide attempt was only four months ago. And her I guess you could call him her ex-boyfriend. Well… they didn't break up. He kinda died, ripped into shreds in front of him and then came back from the dead. It was all too complicated if she kept thinking about it.

"I can't believe you…" She stopped herself.

"Laur… I'm sorry. I-I I shouldn't have tried… I was wrong." She hated seeing that broken look in her eyes. The pleading, heart-stopping cry that came out of Lauren's lips.

"Oh, god… when FP called us… I didn't even believe at first." Lauren's hands shook." I-I didn't want to believe I was losing my best friend."

Lexie's heart shattered as Lauren's resolve cracked. She get up from her side of the booth and pulled her into her arms. She let Laur's head lean against her shoulder and tears soaked through the fabric of her shirt.

"I'm sorry. I didn't think… something happened and I-I-I'm sorry." Lexie cried along with her friend.
