Ann and Daniel frantically looked through packs of clover the were getting a small knot of people watching them but Ann ignore them cursing. They had to find a four leaf clover, there had to be at least one. Brian finally wondered over to stare at them.
The shop manager hurried over annoyed.
"Stop that! You have to pay for those! Stop it or I'll have you charged with shoplifting!" There was a noise that sounded like a small explosion and screaming. The shop keeper looked startled then ran to the front of the store with everyone else to peer at the commotion.
Frustrated Ann just grabbed the small bin and got Daniel and Brian to follow her as she raced down towards the store where she had sent David. He showed up looking harried carrying a big bottle of iron tablets in each hand.
"We have to get to someplace to hide!" Ann said. She glanced down the main walkway then her eyes happened on a discreet door marked exit. "Come one this should lead to the parking garage! I have an idea."
David nodded willing to let someone else make the plans because he was so scared out of his mind. They ran towards the door while the sounds of screams drifted towards them. She quickly relayed her plan.
Once they ran to the garage Ann paused looking around. She grabbed David "Take a bottle of iron caplets and hide. Grind them up into powder. Be ready to throw it at him if you can. I think the iron will hurt him.
"K yah." David took off.
Ann looked around and spotted a small truck with a camper she turned and hurried to it leaving Daniel to follow her. Brain was so numb he just stood there blinking this way and that. To Ann's relief the camper door opened and she and Danielle were able to get in. She handed her brother the iron pills and softly told him to crush them up the best he could.
He nodded and pulled out his pocket knife and set to work crushing the pills into powder. Meanwhile Ann forced herself to pay attention to the clovers trying to find the four life ones and thinking hard as to what she needed to do to get through this night.
Meanwhile the leprechaun had just opened the door to step into the vast garage. He glanced around and chuckled. It echoed which he thought was appropriate and pitched his voice up higher.
"Olly Olly oxen free!" there was no answer as he expected. He closed his eyes and reached out with his senses. The gold...it was close. He began walking carefully keeping an eye out. "Come out, come out please!"
His gaze made its way to a truck with a camper. There was noise coming from there. He was too short to see through the windows so he walked to it and with a snap of his fingers ripped the door off.
A man and woman yelped trying to cover themselves with the blanket they had been screwing under. The creature chuckled at the red faces.
"My mistake carry on lad, tup her till she screams." He continued to move on as the couple leaped from their bed and ran still trying to cover up their nudity.
The old lep turned another corner and spotted Brian trembling in the center of a lane two cars flanking him. He shook harder when that evil gaze fell on him. He began stammering
"Please, please I'll tell you were their hiding, please don't hurt me."
"Like you hurt my bride lad? Hurt my bride and me wee ones inside her? Is that what your asking mercy for?"
Brain shook harder "Please their hiding behind these two cars they got iron powder or shit please just let me go!"
"Piece of shit "Ann hissed.
The leprechaun slapped his hands together and just that fast the cars slammed together squashing Brian leaving his body to ooze out of the twisted metal.
Ann cried out and ran towards it only to stop as the little creature turned his gaze on her.
He placed his hands on his hips and grinned at Ann.
"Drop those clovers or I promise ye you'll get rolled over." The car next to her suddenly came on. She dropped the clovers in her hand as well as the lose ones she had picked out. They lay on the floor scattered. He turned a baleful eye on the cars where he knew the other two would be hiding somewhere.
"Me gold?"
She nodded sweating Ann reached into her pocket and came up with the last piece of the collar. She knelt and shoved it letting it slide to the creature. With a wave of his hands his gold pot appeared and he dropped the collar in it.
"Now lass...if you'll just step aside..."
"Please...if you let my brother live I'll do anything."
He grinned at her "Anything lass? Even the, how so you, piece of that ass? Anything hmm mm. I'm not believin' it though."
Ann stepped closer then kneeled down so she was face to face with him. Her face was calm and her gaze steady. She reached out and stroked his face while he watched her with interest.
Then she leaned forward and placed a chaste kiss on his cheek. He arched his brows looking a her as she smiled at him. She looked much like his late wife. He learned over and carefully slipped his hand around her head to pull her back in for a deeper kiss.
Anyone looking at this would have both shuddered and gagged. It was touching. It looked sincere and there was no question of tongues being involved. The leprechaun suddenly pulled back with a scream and proceeded to try to spit out the four leaf clover s she had shoved in his mouth.
Ann stumbled back "NOW!"
David and her brother ran up to the creature and threw handfuls of powder at him causing him to dance in agony. With one last baleful glare he he screamed once more in anger then vanished.
For a moment they stared expecting him to reappear and kill them all but he didn't.
Ann got to her feet then leaned over to retch. That had been like kissing the ass end of a baby. Disgusting.
Davis was breathing hard and Daniel just kept looking at the blood smeared cars.
"Is it over?" David asked wearily. Ann nodded "I think so."
"You're brilliant!" Daniel said moving to hug Ann she shocked him by slapping him.
"Don't touch me you peice of shit! You were involved in raping and killing a woman and I don't want to see any of you ever again! Go rely on that asshole for everything. I''ll be out of the apartment Saturday." She turned to stalk off muttering to herself "First I need a shot of Irish whisky bad."
