Chapter 2
Finding the Poison
Jafar entered his secret lair and began to look for two bottles of poison. He looked through several shelfs with Iago flying around looking through that where higher up. They found several bottles of various of potions but no poison. They continued for several minutes get ever more frustrated.
"Confound it, where is that poison?" Jafar said.
"Gee, I don't know may you should have checked before you decided to poison the fat man and his loud mouth daughter." Iago said as he flew in and out of some cupboard.
"Watch what you say Iago or I'll use that poison on you." Jafar shouted back to the parrot.
Before Iago could say anything he found what they were looking for. "Ah-ha found one ." Iago said as he flew down to his master with a small bottle with a skull and crossbones. Inside the bottle was the green liquid that would kill the Sultan.
"Excellent now all that's left now is to find one for the princess." Jafar said. They look around some more until Jafar found a bottle with the same green liquid in it however the picture on it was a cobra.
"Are you sure that's poison?" Iago asked his master.
"Of course it is you stupid bird." Jafar said. They exited the lair to execute the plan.
Jafar entered the Sultan's bedroom with a cup with the poison in it. The Sultan was had just finished putting on his night cloths when he saw Jafar he spoke to him about what Jasmine had told him and he made it clear to Jafar that he was not pleased by what he had done.
"Jafar, this is an outrage. If it weren't for all your years of loyal service… from now on, you are to discuss sentencing of prisoners with me, before they are beheaded." the elderly man said.
"I assure you, your highness, it won't happen again." Jafar said.
"Good, now I want you to apologies to Jasmine for what you have done." the Sultan said as he got into his bed. As he did so Jafar put down cup to leave the Sultan in peace.
"Of cause your highness, I shall do it right away." Jafar said. Then he left the room with a wicked smile.
"Good." the Sultan said. He picked up the cup and drank the liquid. Then he went to sleep for the last time. A passing guard noticed that it was strangely silent, the Sultan was well know for snoring quite loudly. The guard entered the room and checked on the Sultan, when he discovered that there was no pulse he emedally when to tell the princess the terrible news.
He reached her room and knocked on the door.
"Come in." Jasmine said.
The guard entered the room.
"You're highness, I'm sorry your father is dead." the guard said in a sorrow tone.
