Chapter 8
Wicked Love
The gang reached the end of the forest where they saw a little house with smoking coming out of the chimney.
"Well, here we are." Gary said.
"Like talk about living in the middle of nowhere." the beist said.
"Tell me about." Gary said. "Well, I have to be heading back. Good luck stopping Elizabeth."
"Thank you for everything Gary." Velma said.
"It was nothing." Gary said before turned back to the forest and left.
"Like he was nice." Shaggy said as the gang made their way to the quaint little house.
"So is it true you got straight A's throughout your studies?" Daphne asked.
"Mostly, I got a B's here and there." Delisle said.
"Ras Rlizabeth rust rs rad rs Rary raid rhe ras rack rhen?" Scooby asked.
"I would prefer not to talk about it." Delisle said.
"That bad?" Velma asked.
"You could say that." the cat said.
They were silent for a moment until Fred spoke. "So is there anything we should know about Toby and Henrietta?"
"Well, they're a married couple and they are a vampire and a witch." Delisle said.
"Ha, what a concedes," Daphne said looking at her boyfriend.
The gang reached the house and Fred knocked on the door. The door was open by a vampire. He to had pale blue and wore a black victoria suit just like Fred, but his hair was black instead of blonde.
"Can I help you?" he asked.
"Hi there are you Toby?" Fred asked.
"Yes, I am Toby, Toby North. How may I be of assistants?" Toby said.
"My name is Fred, these are my friends Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby. We're friends of Delisle and we need your help." Fred said pointing to each of his friends as he introduced them to Toby.
"Well then come in. Any friend of Delisle is a friend of mine." Toby said.
The gang entered the house. The walls were painted dark red and were decorated with small statues.
"Rice recorations," Scooby said.
"Thank you Mr. Doo. My wife chose these statues and paintings."
"She has a great taste in art." the werewolf said.
"Indeed she does." Tody said.
Toby lead the gang into a room where a witch was cleaning her broomstick. Just like Daphne she had green skin and orangey-red hair and wore a traditional witch outfit, but her nose whilst still long, curved down and her hat had a blue stripe around the middle.
"Henrietta my dear, we have some guests." Tody said showing his wife the five monsters.
"Evening it's nice to meet you." Henrietta said.
"The pleasure is our's." Daphne said. Then introduced her friends to the older witch. "My name is Daphne and this Fred, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo." They shook hands with Henrietta.
"So what brings you here?" Henrietta asked.
"We need your help." Velma said.
"What's wrong?" Tody asked.
"You see it's to with Delisle's sister." Shaggy said.
"Elizabeth!? What has done?" Henrietta asked.
"She's got her magic back and kidnapped one of the princesses. We need to get to King Jeff to help stop her." Fred said.
"Well, you come to the right place," Tody said.
"You'll need some brooms to fly there, you borrow some of mine." Henrietta said.
"Like thank you." Shaggy said.
"No problem." Toby said. "Is there anything else you need us to do to help?"
"Well, actually there is." Fred said. "I'm kind of out of practice with my vampire skills."
"Don't worry about it my friend, I'll teach you." Toby said.
"Thanks." Fred said.
"Whilst you'll doing that I can make you a special potion that will help you with your problem." Henrietta said. "Could you help me with it, Daphne?"
"I'm a little behind with my magic." Daphne said sheepishly.
"No need to worry you can learn on the job." Henrietta said. "Now follow me."
"Ok then." Daphne said. She followed Henrietta to make the potion, leaving Delisle with the rest of the gang.
Toby leaded Fred and the others to another room to teach Fred his magical abilities.
"Now when turn into a bat remember to been your knees at ninety degrees, no more no less." Toby said.
Fred then tried it himself and in a flash, he turned into a black bat.
"Rmpressive." Scooby said.
"Jinkies you did it Fred." Velma said in amazment.
Fred then turned back into his vampire form. Toby continued to teach Fred all of his vampire skills until they were done.
"Well done young vampire you have completed your training." Toby said.
"Thank you, Mr. North." Fred said.
"So how do you and Henrietta know Delisle?" Velma asked.
"We meant her at Takamoto. She was the one who introduced me to Henrietta." Toby said.
"Really?" Fred said.
"Are yes I remember it well. Delisle was friends with both of uses and one night she took both of us to a magic show that was where I meant Henritta. When I first saw her I swear could hear the stars sing. We talked to each other throughout the show and ever since then, we've been together.
Scooby and Shaggy had tears in their eyes, finding the story very touching.
"That so sweet." Velma said.
"It was." Toby said.
"So did you know Elizabeth when you went to Takamoto?" Fred asked.
"Sadly yes." Toby said. "She was the most unpleasant person I have ever met and she only got worse a the years when on."
Meanwhile, Daphne and Henrietta were in a room making the potion in a large metal cauldron. Henrietta had just finished telling the same story to Daphne as to how she and Toby meant.
"So Delisle the reason you and Toby got together?" Daphne said.
"Indeed she was." the older witch said string the liquid in the cauldron.
"Did you know Elizabeth when you were at Takamoto?" Daphne asked.
"I did and she was absolutely horrible." Henrietta said. "Once she caused a teacher just for giving her a B+"
"She was really that bad back then?" Daphne asked.
"Worse. Could you get me some frog tongues?" Henrietta said.
"Sure." the younger witch said. Daphne made her way to a shelf that had several jars on it. She picked up the one that had the frog tongues in it and walked back to the cauldron. She put three in then realizes that Henrietta hadn't told her how much to put in.
"Seems your a fast learner." Henrietta said.
"You mean that was the right amount?" Daphne asked.
"Yes, it was." Henrietta said, then she hand the large wooden spoon to Daphne. I think you should finish the potion."
"Are you sure?" Daphne asked. Henrietta nodded. Daphne began to stir the potion, adding in more ingredients as she did so. Then she said the spell without needing to read it.
"Tail of a rat, wing of bat. Teeth of a dog, tongue of a frog. Give to me, the powers that should be." she then cackled in a gleefully wicked tone.
"Someone being prating their cackling." Henrietta said in amusment.
"Oh mm, thanks." Daphne said. This was the first time she had cackled, it shocked her who good she was.
Henrietta grabbed three bottles and scooped up the potion into them.
"Well it's done, we better get the brooms ready." Henrietta said. She and Daphne walked towards the broom closet, passing a mirror along the way. Daphne stopped a looked at her reflection, wondering if Fred really meant what he said back at the shop. Then she continued to get the brooms.
A little while later the gang met up together with the witches carrying the potions and four brooms.
"Here you go." Henrietta said giving the potions to Shaggy and gave the brooms to Velma. "These should help you in stopping Elizabeth."
"Thanks." Velma said.
"No need to thank me." the older witch said.
Fred noticed Daphne looking at the floor. He went to check if she was alright.
"Are you ok Daphne?" Fred asked his girlfriend.
"Freddy, can I talk to you alone?" Daphne asked.
"Oh um sure." Fred said.
The two of them went out of the house and went to a tree a few feet away.
"Is something wrong?" Fred asked.
"Freddy, if we can't turn back to our normal selves, I just want to know. Back at the shop when you said I was more beautiful, did you mean it?" Daphne asked.
"Of course I did. I love you no matter if your human or witch." Fred said.
Daphne smiled as tears of joy formed in her eyes. "Thank you Freddy." she said as she hugged her boyfriend. "I can live the rest of my life as a witch but not without you." The two shared a kiss before they went back into the house to join the others. Happy knowing whatever happened they would always love each other.
