Chapter 11

A Tale of Two Sisters

The gang where thrown into the cold, damp dungeon and they fell onto the hard floor. Then the banshee and troll locked the door and left the gang to suffer the consequences of their failure.

"Well gang, we blow it big time." Shaggy said.

"Reah, rig rime." Scooby said a sad tone.

"We can't just give up." Velma said as she tried to push the door open to no avail.

"But what can we do? None of us have the power to stop her." Fred said.

"And this dungeon is bond to be magic proof." Daphne said.

Delisle looked down at the ground and let out a small signed. "This is all my fault." she said in a sorrowful tone.

"Like what do you mean? It's not your fault." Shaggy said.

"Reah, rou rid rverything ro rry rnd rtop rer." Scooby said.

"No you don't understand. I'm the reason that she is the way she is." the cat said.

"What are you talking about?" Velma asked having giving up trying to break down the door.

Delisle hesitated to tell them.

"Delisle, please tell us." Daphne said. Delisle looked to them and told them about her past.

"When me and Elizabeth were little, we will always practice our magic together. Our parents could see that we both had potential to become great sorceress they would us that we could become two of the great successors in the kingdom but also tell us that are magic should only be used for good and that we must never let it get to us." Delisle said. "I would try my best to prefect my magic as did my sister. We would show off what we had learned to our friends and I'll admit that I did show off quite a bit and unintentionally steal the spotlight from Elizabeth."

"Mum look what I can do." Elizabeth said then she used her magic the judge six eggs.

"That very good dear." her mother said.

"I can do it better." Delisle said. Then she used her magic to juggle seven eggs.

This caused Elizabeth add two more eggs making her juggle eight. Then Delisle did the same and was now juggling nine eggs. They continued to add more and more eggs until they were both juggling thirty, but this was too much for them to handle and they accidently dropped the eggs causing a mess all over the kitchen.

"Girls!" their mother shouted, causing both of them to look down in shame. "I've told you a hundred times not to try and best each other at magic. Now I want both of you to clean this kitchen up before I get back."

"Yes mum." the two girls said.

Their mother left the kitchen as the girls began to clean it. Elizabeth glared at her younger sister. Delisle gave an uneasy smile and guilty chuckle. "Sorry." Delisle said. "You always have to get me in trouble. Some sister you are." Elizabeth said as she continued to clean the kitchen. Delisle looked away in sadness as she also went back to cleaning the kitchen.

"That doesn't sound too bad." Fred said.

"But it was what planted the seed of hated in her." Delisle said. Then she continued her tell. "When we started primary school we still close and our magic had improved greatly although we starting to let it get to us. We would always try and out do each other. One day we were play a game of tag with our friends. Me and Elizabeth were never good a the game and we often use magic to win. During that game one our friends caught use in the act."

"Hey you two are cheating." a goblin said.

"No we're not." Delisle said.

"I saw you, you using magic." the goblin said.

"So we can use are magic." Elizabeth said.

"No can't." the goblin said.

"Who says?" Elizabeth said.

"The rules say and if the rules say no magic then you are cheating." the goblin said.

"We're not cheating." Elizabeth shouted than blasted a ball of magic at the goblin knocking him over.

"Elizabeth what are you doing?" Delisle said.

"Well he started it." Elizabeth said as her sister help up their friend.

"Thank you Delisle." the goblin said.

"You're welcome." Delisle said.

"It wouldn't have happened if you didn't call us cheaters." Elizabeth said.

"But you were cheating." a troll said.

"We were not." Elizabeth shouted.

"Were too." the troll said.

"Were not." Elizabeth said.

"Actually we were. I'm sorry we lied earlier." Delisle confessed.

"That alright we can still play if you want just don't use magic ok." the goblin said.

"I don't play with traitors" Elizabeth said. Then she stormed off leaving her sister to feel guilty.

"I tried to talk to her but she didn't want to here what I had to say." Delisle said.

"Is this what this is all over, a piety grudge." Velma said.

"No, but it did damage our relationship and things only got worst when we got to Takamoto Magic Academy." Delisle said as she told them about when Elizabeth had caused the teacher.

"Well done Delisle." the teacher said giving Delisle her test paper back which was marked B.

"Thank you Ms. Rose." Delisle said.

"Teacher's pet." Elizabeth muttered under breath.

"Well done Elizabeth." Ms. Rose said as she gave Elizabeth her test back which was also marked B+.

"Ms. Rose you marked it wrong." Elizabeth said.

"Actually I marked it correctly." the teacher said.

"If is correct then why is it not an A+?" Elizabeth challenged.

"If you look I've pointed out where you went wrong. If you remember them for next time then you might get an A+" Ms. Rose said.

Elizabeth glared at the teacher and got out of her seat. "Maybe you need a new pair of glasses. ylno na eye" she said casting a spell on the teacher turning the poor woman into an large eye.

"Esrever cigam." Delisle quickly said turning the teacher back to normal. Then the teacher went over to Elizabeth.

"Headteachers office, now." Ms. Rose said. Elizabeth got up and walked to the headteachers with Ms. Rose.

An hour later Elizabeth came out looking very cross.

"Thanks a lot sister." she said to Delisle.

"What happened." Delisle asked.

"Thanks to you I've got three weeks detention." Elizabeth said.

"I'm sorry I didn't..." before the dark blue hair woman finish, Elizabeth had walked away leaving Delisle alone again.

"But the event that broke are relationship was when were to show off are abilities to royal family." the cat said.

"Good luck sister." Delisle said as Elizabeth waited for her turn to show the king and queen her magic.

"I've got a good feeling I will blow them away." Elizabeth said.

"Presenting Elizabeth Heather." an announcer said.

Elizabeth walked out to the prestation room were several people sat to watch including King Jeff and Queen Jobi along with their daughters. Elizabeth introduced herself to her audience.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am Elizabeth Heather and tonight I will show you magic beyond your comprehension." she said then began to show off her magic to them. She made bright colors of light fly across the room, created a whirlwind out of thin air and turned a chicken into griffin. Whilst the audience was indeed impressed by this it wasn't mind blowing as Elizabeth had said it would be.

"Pretty good magic." the princess said.

Elizabeth glared at them when the said this. She wasn't except being called anything less then great. Delisle gave a nervous gulp, scared what her older would do.

"For my next trick I will need three volunteers. How about... the princesses?"

"Elizabeth, no."

The king and queen looked at each then at Elizabeth. "We can not put our daughters in danger. I am sorry Miss Heather." King Jeff said.

Elizabeth's face turned red. "Very well I tried to do this the nice way." Then used her magic and took the three princess from their parents.

"Jill, June Jennifer!" the king and queen shouted.

"Mummy, daddy!" the princess shouted.

"You what to see great magic girls? I'll show you great magic." Elizabeth said. However just before she could cast her spell on the princesses, Delisle casted her own spell on her sister.

"Cigam Evomer." Delisle said quickly and with that Elizabeth lost her magic and the princesses flew into their mother's arms.

"It's all right, mummy here." Queen Jobi said, comforting her crying daughters. King Jeff flew down to the magicless woman.

"Elizabeth Heather. You have shown yourself to a danger to our kingdom and our people. Because of this you will be locket in the dungeon for life." he said.

"Your majesty, please spare her." Delisle said, walking towards the king. He and the other members of the audicts realized that she had been the one to save his daughters.

"What is your name?" he asked.

"Delisle Heather and I ask that you spare my sister." Delisle said hopping it would make her sister less angry towards her, but it didn't.

The king thought for a moment then he spoke. "Very well Delisle. I will spare your sister from the dungeon, but she will be banished to the mortal realm."

"Thank you, your majesty." Delisle said.

Two guards came to Elizabeth to take her to the human world. Elizabeth gave one last look of hatred to her younger sister. The queen flew to Delisle and thanked her for saving her daughters, who also thanked Delisle for saving them. Then they asked Delisle to show off her own magic which she did.

"If I hadn't asked for him to spare her then none of this would have happened." Delisle said in a sad tone as tears formed in eyes.

"It's not your fault DeLisle. You did what you thought was best for your sister." Daphne said.

"But it put the whole kingdom in danger." Delisle replied.

"True but you're doing everything you can to fix it." Fred said.

Delisle looked up at the and gave a small smile. "Thank you." she said.

Just then shaggy noticed something up near the top left of the dungeon.

"Guys look up there." the bestia said pointing to a small hole in the ceiling.

"DeLisle do you think you can squeeze through there?" Daphne asked.

"I'll try." Delisle said. She began to climb to the dungeon wall and just managed to squeeze through the hole. A moment later she returned with the key in her mouth and open the door.

They got onto their broomst and as fast as they could to stop Elizabeth… before it was too late.
