Author's note: Apologies for the late update on the story. I've been working on other stories such as "Scooby Doo and the Monster World" and "Space Jam Next Generation." Anyway I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 5

Escaping the Castle

Back at the Goblin castle, Shaggy and Scooby were being led to the execution room. It was dark and damp with a horrific smell in the air and the floor was stained with blood. The duo looked at each other with fear on their faces. They stopped at a wooden block with a large basket next to it.

"Any last words?" asked the executioner.

"Like can we have a trial?" asked Shaggy.

"Ok. You can have a trial." he said. "Guilty!"

Bill and Joe placed Shaggy's and Scooby's heads on the wooden block as the executioner held the axe high above his head. He was about to lower it when three fairies quickly flew in.

"Stop!" they shouted.

"What is the meaning of this? Can't you see we're in the middle of something." the executioner said in frustration.

"You can't behead these two." Sparkplug.

"Why not? They're guilty of trying to sssteal the goblin ssscepter." Joe said.

"Like the only reason we did, that was because it was the only way to stop Krudsky." Shaggy said.

"Ru rh." Scooby said.

"It's true." said the green-haired fairy.

"True or not we got to do our jobs." the executioner said.

Honeybee tried to reason with the goblins. "But..."

"No buts! These two are being beheaded and that final!" the executioner said. But just as he was about to swing his axe, another goblin came into the room. He had come back from the mortal world to deliver the horrifying news.

"Boss, I say Boss!" the goblin said.

"What is it Greg?!" the frustrated executioner shouted.

"His majesty has been turned, I say turned into a goose and what's worse his scepter has been stolen by a lunatic magician who turning, I say mortals into monsters" Greg said.

"Oh no. That means the gang has been monsterified." Shaggy said causing Scooby to whimper.

"Wait a ding dong dang minute. Wasn't that the name of the guy prisoners said they were trying to stop."

"Reah, rt ras." Scooby said.

"His already turned the whole city, I say the whole city of Coolsville in monsters." Greg said.

"Rre rur riends rlright?" Scooby asked in a concerned tone.

"What do they look like?" Greg asked.

"Fred is tall, blonde and wears. Daphne is a red-haired and wears a purple dress and Velma is short, wears glasses with an orange sweater." Shaggy said. Hopping that there might be a chance that their friends had not been turned into monsters yet.

"Well, I saw them. Their a vampire, witch, and werewolf now. They already left the carnival. Not sure, I say I'm not sure where they are now though." Greg said. Shaggy and Scooby looked at each other with worry.

"Should we let them go boss?" asked Bill.

"If you don't let them go then both realms will be destroyed." pleased Honeybee.

The executioner thought for a moment. "Well I guess we don't have much of a choice." he said. "Now go and save our king, but fail and you two get the axe."

"Don't worry, we won't fail." Shaggy said. I hope. he thought to himself.

"Rut row ro re ret rut rf rere?" Scooby asked.

"Don't worry we get you covered." Honeybee said, then the fairies used their magic to bring Broomy into the room.

"Broomy!" the duo said in excitement.

"Quickly now, before it's too late." said Tiddlywink

Shaggy and Scooby hopped on Broomy began to fly out of the gloomy castle. "Thanks for everything fairies." Shaggy said just as he and Scooby flew out of the window. They exited the supernatural realm and flew as fast as they could to save their friends and their world.
