Hi there people it's been a little while ^^ Sorry I took a little more time to post the fourth chap, I was sick (no covid) since I posted the third and was too tired to write or even think lol I'm not really satisfied by the third chap I don't know why but it doesn't feel right, but it's my first story so I guess I need to write more to understand what feels right for me and what not.

Anyway Here's the fourth chapter! Enjoy!

I DON'T OWN DANMACHI OR ONE PIECE

A PIRATE WHO'S GOING TO BE A HANDFUL

As the labyrinth city bathed in the first light of the day, the Hearth manor's inhabitants were slowly waking up.

"Huh?" But as one rabbit boy opened his red eyes,he found himself in a strange position. The pirate that they escorted into Orario and invited to their house yesterday was positioned just above and looking intently at him with his face so close that the rabbit could feel the pirate breath on his cheeks. As he was asking himself just why the pirate was here, his still waking brain didn't register the fact that the man looking at him from above shouldn't be able to do it without his feet planted either on the ground or the bed...

"L-Luffy-san..? What-what are you doing?"

"..." No answer, not even a mouvement from the pirate.

"Luffy-san...please say something…"

"I can't feel you."

"WHA-WHA-WHAT ARE YOU SAYING LUFFY-SAN?!"

"I noticed yesterday, I should be able tofeelthe people around me. I tried really hard but I couldn't find their voices… It's like my haki is blocked somehow."

"Voices? Haki, Sorry, Luffy-san, but I don't understand what you are talking about!"

"Damn, I worked so hard for it and now it's useless! I still have it I'm sure, I know how to do it but I can't use it...it's weird." The pirate released a long sigh while scratching his head.

"Bell-kun! Luffy-kun!" The goddess's voice resonated in the mansion.

"Again I don't really understand what you are trying to tell me but we should go see what Goddess wants from us."

As Bell and Luffy arrived downstairs, they entered the living room to find everyone but us waiting for them. The goddess greeted them, waited until they finished the little food they had after yesterday's devastation by Luffy and decided to talk about the pirate's problem.

"I gave some thought about Luffy and his need to find a way back. As you all know, even if we won the war game and we're now living in a big and comfortable location our situation is far from ideal."

"Yeah Lily agreed with Hestia-sama, we're still in debt and the recruitment is going to be really hard because of it."

"Yeah no one would want to join a familia who have a manor but no valis."

"As Welf elegantly put it, only people who have no other options would join us. Only people in need." As she said that, the goddess kept her gaze locked on Luffy so that her familia understand where she was going.

"Luffy-kun, I don't know if Bell and the others explained it to you, but here in Orario, people won't help you if you're not one of them or if you have nothing to give in exchange. They will not lose their time or money to help someone just because that person needs help."

The pirate frowned at the goddess.

"I know it's not really a nice thing to do but in Orario most people are like that...and even if I want to help you, I too, have to put my familia first."

"Kami-sama?" Now it was Bell who was frowning beside Luffy. He really wanted to help and he told Luffy that his goddess would maybe know, but... he didn't seem like she was going to help.

"I know Bell-kun, that's why I have a proposition for you, Luffy-kun."

Luffy had a feeling that he knew what she was going to propose, and he was not really sure if he could do something like that, even for the sake of returning to Rusukaina. In any case, he would listen to what her proposition would be first and then he would decide. Getting back to the goddess, he found her looking directly into his eyes.

"We'll help you search a way to go back to where you're from, and in exchange I want you to join my familia and help my children in the dungeon, you may not be an adventurer but my instincts are telling me that you're strong, and you seem to have already a good amount of fighting experience due to your travels as a pirate."

The pallum raised an eyebrow."Hestia-sama, maybe Monkey-san has experience on the sea, BUT you cannot compare fighting unblessed pirates and fighting monsters in the dungeon! And if he has to meet his friends soon then he wouldn't have the time to gain enough stats and experience to come to the middle floors with us."

The goddess smirked at the pallum answer "Are you sure about that Supporter-kun? My guts are telling me that Luffy-kun will be a great help for you and I trust my guts." She turned to the pirate again and smiled "Of course you can leave the familia once you are ready to go back to your friends, you'll keep the experience you'll gain in the dungeon but the power given to you by my blessing will be erased, it's inevitable when you quit a familia. So what do you say Luffy-kun, do you want to join our familia?"

Luffy crossed his arms and closed his eyes while he was thinking...again? How many times has he had to think since coming here? At least two or three times maybe, damn he really was going to get a fever with this much thinking! Anyway, normally he would immediately say that he already has a crew and he..

"You know Luffy-kun, there are many strong monsters to fight in the dungeon. And everytime you kill them they come back, it's good for getting stronger.."

An eyebrow twitched.

"Also I heard the deeper you go, the more different environments you see. Caves, misty places or even jungles and deserts, it must be a good adventure for someone like you."

A pirate flinched.

"AND I let you keep almost all the money you make and take just a little bit for the familia, so the more money you make the more you can eat."

GROOOOWL!

And a stomach growled...

"S-so I can buy all the meat I want as long as I make money?"

Kukuku, now just a little push was needed and he'll be joining the familia…

"Yes Luffy-kun, when you go into the dungeon you kill monsters and take the stones which are in their body, and the stronger the monster the more money you make with the stone. Imagine all the food you could buy!" The goddess finished, smiling and tilting her head. Hook, line and sinker!

"J-just until I can go back to the grand line, f-for the sake of going back to my friends...and the meat."

"Wonderf.."

"BUT, I'm already a captain so there is no way I can call someone my captain and I don't take orders!"

"You seem a bit young to lead a crew but don't worry I figured you're not the type to follow leadership. The only things I want is that you don't cause too much problem in Orario and that you go and stay with children when they are in the dungeon. So, do we have a deal?" The goddess put her open palm in front of her waiting for the pirate to cross the room and seal the deal.

After a few seconds she felt his hand reach hers and shook it but...why was he still on the other side of the room huh?

The pirate had his eyes closed, head turned to the side looking physically ill as if agreeing to the deal hurt him but he still hadn't moved so the goddess looked down to his shoulder and to his arm, which was crossing all the way to her…..

"Eh?"

The others apparently had seen it too, not that you could miss it….

"""""EEEEEEHHHHHH"""""

"WHAT THE F%#K IS THAT?!"

"LU-LU-LUFFY-SAN YOUR ARM!"

While the familia's boys were screaming and pointing to the seven feets long arm, the girls...just fainted.

When Hestia opened her eyes, she found herself on a sofa with Bell looking at her with worry written in his red eyes.

"Are you okay Kami-sama?"

"Y-yeah I think I am?"

"You, Lily and Mikoto-san fainted when you saw...well I don't really know what we saw. We were waiting for you to wake up before asking Luffy-san what was that."

The goddess looked around her to find the other girls waking up too and Welf was looking at Luffy's arm like he was studying a complex piece of armor. Luffy was looking at her nonchalantly like he didn't make half the people in the room faint.

"Luffy-kun?"

"Yeah?"

"What was that?"

"What was what?

"Your arm! How did it cross the whole room without you moving with it?"

"Ah I didn't tell you?" The pirate put his major finger in his mouth and pulled. Only for his cheek to stretch wayy longer than it should be able.

"I'm a rubber man!"

"Huh? A rubber man?"

"Yes I ate the Gomu Gomu No Mi and became a rubberman shishishi!"

"So that means that you can stretch some parts of your body?"

"yes! I know, my power is awesome!" the pirate grinned proudly.

"And that Gomu Gomu No Mi? What is it?"

"A devil fruit!"

huh….another bunch of unknown terms. Like her Bell had said, it was really starting to feel like the young man came from a different world…

"A-anyway we can understand that after we finsh your entry in the familia! I know that I had discussed it with him without really asking the opinions of everyone but now, what do you think?"

"I don't have any problem with it, Kami-sama. I too think Luffy-san will be a great help and I want to help him!"

"Lily is okay with it too, even if she is wondering if Monkey-san is really human…"

"I like the guy, he's fun even if he's a weird gummy pirate. So no problem for me!"

"I trust you jugement Hestia-sama."

Well, since her children didn't raise any objections…

"Congratulations Luffy-kun, you're now a member of the Hestia familia!"

Luffy gave her a thumbs up."Ok, thanks Hestia!"

"Now come with me, I will give you your falna."

The goddess made her way to her room with Luffy in tow. While she was happy that she managed to convince him, she was wondering if she made the right call. Luffy seemed like a good person, irritating and stupid sometimes yes, but he had that indiscriptible charm who made him likeable and easy to talk. But she couldn't help getting the feeling that he was going to be a handful…

"Now take off your vest, get on the bed and lie down on your stomach." The goddess looked as the pirate took off his vest, his back turned to her and she remarked that despite looking skinny, he was hiding a bit of muscles adding nicely with his cute but unruly look.

But when he turned around a sharp gasp escaped her lips… A big scar in the form of a X stood in the center of his chest, it looked like a mix between a really nasty burn and a wound caused by piercing. How did he get an injury as grave as this?

"Luffy-kun...that scar...how did you…?"

Luffy put his hand on the scar and for the first time she met him, a sad look appeared on is young face, his face which looked like it got a few years old in a few just as the goddess was thinking that such an expression didn't have it's place on the young pirate, his eyes took on a dark look and through clenched teeth he said…

"Akainu!"

If it was making him act so differently and was apparently a deep scar, not just a physical scar but something more profound then she should not pry anymore, he would talk about it if he wanted or needed to. So she put on a smile which she hoped looked genuine.

"A-anyway go and lie down so I can give you your falna!"

Luffy understood that the goddess was trying to ease the mood, so he gave her a small smile and did as he was told.

She got on the bed too, sat on Luffy in a straddling position and started to work.

"Listen Luffy-kun, when you have a falna you get a status to show your strengths, skills and more. Never tell or show to anyone who is not from our familia what's on your status, It's really important, you understand?"

She finished as he gave a small nod and Luffy immediately felt warmth on his back. It was strong but felt really good actually, like a warm blanket on him in a cold winter and it made him a little sleepy. Maybe he could take a tiny nap?

Hestia was face palming as she holded Luffy's first status in her other hand. She KNEW he was going to be a handful, she had a feeling before but now she was certain of it! He was going to attract attention for sure with his personality and strength but she hoped that he could keep things to himself unlike her Bell. And there was no way to hide these skills from him since he already had them before...

"Luffy-kun"

"ZZzzz…"

"Luffy-kun?"

The goddess leaned a little forward to peek at Luffy's face and a small smile appeared on her face. She looked at his status again and giggled.

"Such a strong child but, still a child."

Aaaand done! Luffy is officially a member of the Hestia familia and had his first status. I had a little trouble with his skills because I was tempted to group gear second and third in "Gear series" skill but decided against it in the end. I know some people would say that Luffy would never agree to enter a familia but, first it's just a "I help you you help me" limited in time agreement with Hestia and second I wanted him in the familia so I made him join lol sure Luffy is not 100% the same as in the original One piece but I had to change him just a little bit so that he can join the familia and be able to really understand the level up system. I don't see canon Luffy be interested in stats development abilities and such…
