Sorry for the delay, I have a legit reason that wasn't me being lazy like normal, I went into a steep rabbit hole called making a list of future quirks and powers and how Izuku will use them, have a giant list of them, also, I was hopping some generous people would put in some quirk suggestions, they can be stupid broken, extremely time sensitive, situational, stupid, or niech, don't matter, I litterally have 3 million spots for quirks, so I don't really care what quirk you respond with, you will probably see it in the fic randomly.
One more thing before we continue, should I add a list of all of Izuku's quirks and powers that he currently has at the end of the chapter's?
"Clever, very clever, instead of trying to break into my mind directly you instead snuck around and lulled me into what I can only describe as a in between sleep, of course the only reason you could do that is because I wasn't prepared for someone else to be able to reach into the space between the body and soul, impressive" it was comical, the way this apparent god of dream reared back in fright as he perfectly described how he had been pulled here, clearly they were not expecting him to break the process down.
"What are you...vessel?" oh? It speaks, and it sounds female too, perhaps he should check real quick?
"Excuse me, but I will need to do something real quick, be back in just a moment." Without any show of effort he completely destroyed the barrier they had set up to keep him in their dream space, effortlessly walking back into his own head space and quickly found a novel quirk that allowed the user to identify what gender a person was just by looking at them. Quickly absorbing the book, and picking up a book that helped in reducing the effects of a bright light shining in his eyes, with a clearly unexpect casualness, he stepped back into the Radiances dream space.
When he returned, now able to clearly see the Radiance without the light blinding him, he could see clear shock on her face. Obviously it wasnt every day that some one stepped out of her realm, and then stepped back in like it was a walk in the park. Not that he cared any, as with a snap of his fingers his favorite plush seat appeared from the stone ground. Bah! He was old, he deserved at least some comfort, goddess present or not.
With another snap of his fingers the smoky orange clouds were replaced by dark green ones, the stone grounds were connected and the light was forcibly dimmed before a giant seat that would fit her massive form rose from the ground behind her. With an amused smile he waved towards the seat, the deathly scared appearance the Radiance had plastered on her face amusing him more than it should.
"Please, take a seat, I have a moment I can spare chatting before I have to get up." he had expected to threaten the Radiance, maybe just beat her up the instant he saw her and get it over with, but in her he saw someone of kin, someone old and completely done, but a almost familiar spitefulness filled her eyes that clearly drove her forwards. And it was spite that drove him forward now, whoever was fucking with him could get fucked, and if that required him getting strong enough to go to who knows where to knock some sense into them and letting this old man live his days out, than so be it.
Almost inexplicably a chill ran down his spine and made every hair on his body stand on edge, it was like someone was laughing at him, finding something funny that no else did.
"You...are not a vessel." it was a fairly clear statement even if it was repeating itself, he could feel layering in her voice as it tried to pry into his mind, but also the madness that was barely restrained by the awe he was sure she was experiencing, it saddened him, he had hoped that they could simply talk things out, but clearly a conversation of peace would only end in disaster.
"Hmm, well, my mind is not one, but my body is very much so one. Were you perhaps expecting to find a new being to infect, and decided you liked the idea of infecting one of PK's children with your infection was too good of an idea to pass up?" it seemed like he hit the nail on the head, the world around him began to shake before he suddenly felt a massive force on his body, he could of fought it off easily, but instead he let it push him out of the Radiences dream scape, careening him back into his mind scape, she had metaphorically shut the door in his face.
In amusement he still felt the pecking of the Radiance, trying and failing to break into his mind, but now very obviously avoiding his mind scape, he ignored it for now, instead focusing on the new additions to his mind scape, it was nothing big, but now every so often green looking dreamcatchers in appearance, appeared out of nowhere before fading out of existence, reminding him that the same thing was happening in the Radiences dream scape, but hers was orange instead of green.
Suddenly he felt his danger sense act up, with no lag time he awoke and fazed through the...needle? That had attempted to stab him in the head, his 'eyes' peered curiously at the young girl, she shared a very slight resemblance with both Herrah and PK, she had a red dress on and was giving a very defiant stare. Ah, this was Herrahs daughter, his snrk, 'older sister' Hornet.
Unable to filter his amusement, he let his amused old voice flow into the young girl's mind. "You know, sister, it's very rude to try to stab someone in the head while they are attempting to sleep, or did Herrah not teach you that?" If he had he mouth he would have smirked as Hornet reared back in shock and fear, instantly dropping her needle and fled, screaming down the halls as she screeched for Herrah, he was so glad the quirk automatically translated his words.
In only a few seconds later a devout stalker quickly entered his room, their glare dangerous as they held their hands up menacingly. "Ah, don't be alarmed, the little one simply was surprised I survived being stabbed in the head." Almost like a comedy scene, the devout stalker reared back as well, but then their many eyes widened before they raced off, for what he was sure to get Herrah.
In his boredom he decided to see how well he could balance with his semi massless body, so that was how Herrah, her guard, and Hornet found him balancing on his staff, on one foot, looking as though he was sitting on air as he moved not a hair.
"You can speak." was Herrah's first words, clearly attempting to rip the bandaid off, he approved. "In a sense, your comment on me using my soul energy differently made me realize I could simply use it to communicate telepathically, though It still required I have Soul energy to use." All but needing to have Soul energy to use Telepathy was bull, not that she needed to know that.
She looked impressed, in the best way an arachnid could. But they needed to move onto business, "Is there a specific reason your daughter tried to stab me in the head, Herrah?" she seemed hesitant to answer but finally began to defend her daughter's actions, "she said that your eyes were glowing slightly orange, that is the first sign that someone has fallen to the infection…" oh? "Hmm, well I was having a...lovely...chat with the Radiance that decided to attempt to try and take me over, lets just say it didn't work out all that well, for her anyway."
Herrah seemed genuinely amazed, in fact, everyone around him looked amazed. "How?! No one has been able to escape, erm, her grasp once they fall prey to her powers! How in all of Deepnest did you fight her off?" Herrah seemed very passionate in getting him to spill every detail of his confrontation with the Radiance, perhaps I should tip my hand a bit to help with difficult explanations in the future?
Idea made, it was slightly difficult to get Speech -100 and Dream walker to meld together in the way I wanted, but eventually they fit together enough for me to reach into both of the devout stalkers, Herrah, and Hornets minds, and with a twist of Dream walker the room they were all in disappeared, and they all found themselves in a odd concrete room.
"Hm, seem's the trick I picked up from the Radiance worked fairly well, though it is shaky, anyway, welcome to my personal mindscape, dreamscape maybe? It does resemble the Radiences little dreamscape to an extent, the way you would enter them are the same and nearly identical as well. Ah, it seems I got off topic, welcome to my personal domain."
In surprise the four new occupants whirled around to find themselves facing the escaped vessel, his body was pitch black, even where his mask would be was black instead white, in one of his hands was a large glass like orb that looked recently full but was slowly dissipating, randomly filling a little at random intervals, sitting on a high seat with red plush cushion with the rest being gold, a fairly extravagant seat that was a step away from being a throne, and to there shock a large, extremely bright green light floated in the sky.
Unknown to the four arachnids, what they were seeing was Izuku's void form, his real body hidden from them as he had activated his sneak 100:dream edition quirk before he had used his Dream consciousness quirk to wake them, and using Speech -100 to throw his voice and make it seem like he was talking to them from his void form. Hrm, perhaps I should look into finding a quirk to help me do this in the physical world. The only reason I'm able to throw my voice in here is because it's my mind and Speech -100 is all about the mind, shit I'm getting off topic.
"It all makes sense now," Herrah suddenly began to quietly speak, seeming to be speaking to both herself and Izuku, "it all makes so much more sense! How you were able to fight off the Radiance, how you're able to do things you do with your soul energy, it's so obvious now!" by now she was screaming at the top of her lungs, her eyes wildly fixated on the light above them, "You're a godling!" A what now?
"Now-now Herrah, use your proper words." like a fever dream he got a front row seat to see the Queen of Deepnest, a somewhat humanoid arachnid, blush, and was both interesting to see and almost disturbing as when her face gained a light blue hue, her body fully convulsed like a heartbeat, dark blue veins becoming momentary visible beneath her skin before it instantly stopped, though a faint blue hue still covered her face.
"Now, would you please explain to everyone else what you're talking about? After all it is fairly rude to just call me something with no explanation, so do be a dear and share with the room." Herrah seemed to take a breath(not that she need it here) and began to explain to everyone that where they were was the dream world of a god, she gestured to one of the many green dream catchers before saying that the only beings that could create a dream world that was separate from the Radience's domain were gods or other higher beings, and since he had successfully shown he had a personal dream world, it was the first sign of a god, but since he was only recently born, he was a godling.
Another thing of interest was that the green dream catchers were apparently made of something called dream essence, a resource only usable to those with the ability to not only collect dream essence, but also able to manipulate it, the most proficient people of it being the, suspected to be long dead, moth tribe.
Glancing over at my seat where my orb of soul energy laid while my void form played with Hornet while also getting as much useful info from Herrah as possible, my soul energy had dropped to about half full, while my soul regen helped delay the slow drain as I kept Herrah and Hornet here having already released the Devout Stalkers to keep guard of their bodys, it was still a inevitability.
Stopping my puppeting of my void form I addressed the two as I led it to my seat where it picked up my soul energy, "I'm sorry you two but it seems we are all out of time, while I would love to keep us here as time passed much slower outside, I would prefer that I'm still able to communicate to the both of you in the real world without having to wait a few hours." while Herrah seemed relieved that they had not spent as long as it had felt in here than she first thought, she collected a saddened Hornet, you seemed to be doing her best at giving him a bug version of the puppy eyes. Tsk-tsk, my kids used that one too many times for me to fall for it at my old age, smirking inwardly I released my hold on them, and began to wake along with them.
While I knew it had at least been a hour in the physical world compared to within the several hours spent in my mind, but it was still incredibly satisfying to wake up in a body that held no capability of being sore or even mildly inconvenienced by falling asleep sitting up, no neck that needed to be popped, no back that needed to be a bit more limber, and no stretching needed to relax my body, the same could not be said for Hornet and Herrah, both of them emerging from their roomes the Devous Stalkers had put them in while they slept, while they didn't have bones like humans, the muscles they had could get stiff, but out of the two Hornet was the one suffering the worst, while her mother was all muscle, like any bug Hornet had chitin surrounding her body, and that chitin had shifted to poke and prod at her child like muscles.
It was interesting that while most bugs in Hallownest had chitin like normal bugs, the chitin was almost one solid thing with unarmored arms and legs popping from, but Hornet had chitin that not only surrounded all parts of her body, at a closer look the chitin was segmented, allowing her to far more agile and flexible than the normal bug, but the segmented parts seemed to not be happy to lay on hard ground, something that was apparently unique to Hornet as every other bug, muscle or chitin, were unbothered by sleeping on solid, uncomfortably hard ground, it was one of the few flaws of having never before seen segmented chitin like hers, his own chitin just acted like skin, perfectly flexible without hindering him in the slightest, but it was far more durable.
Back when I was younger I had went on a spree of sorts after reaching the mental age of 200, during this spree I went around world learning and picking up as many languages as possible, I had a firm handle on Japanese and English from the start, but from that I went about learning French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Italian, German, Korean, sign language, lip reading and even the long dead Latin, and thanks to myself I'm well prepared for these.
There were in total Nine recognized languages in all of Hallownest, Deepnest, and the Hive combined, from Hallownest was Hallowech, from Deepnest was Arachet, from the Hive was Bumble, from the Mantis tribe was Manter, from the Snail Shaman tribe was Shonruk, from the Moth tribe was Mothern, from the Mosskin was Moss and surprisingly one from the abyss, called Ancient, short for it being a long forgotten and ancient language, unsurprisingly learning how to write and reach both Arachet and Hallowech was easy, unexpectedly Herrah wanted him to learn Bumble, as while the language was official, it was only able to be spoken by residents of the Hive, all of which are connected to one giant telepathic connection, there for the words of its spoken language was unpronounceable to most bugs.
So they brought in a single resident from the Hive, She was a humanoid bee, that was the short and end of it, while she seemed to hold herself rather regal like, it was all the same as I used my new super move:domain connection(what I called the combo of Speech -100 and Dream walker) and pulled her in, where she began to teach me Bumble, by the end of that same day I had perfectly learned how to speak it, my nameless teacher having even commented on my odd ability to decipher languages scarily fast.
What I hadn't told anyone was that I was using one of quirks I had gained from All for one when I was still human, over 9000 thought a quirk that allowed me to think nearly 9000 individual thoughts in a second, which had the side effect of making my muttering worse and end up easily getting off topic anyway, it was named the way it had because the previous user of it was very obviously a Dragon Ball fan, and the quirk was why time seemed to go faster inside my mindscape.
The next language Herrah brought out, what looked like a rock, with symbols on it, almost instantly I could read it, though all the rock's surface said was something about the coming of a seeker and rise of a lord of shades, no clue what that meant.
Having noticed my talent in language Herrah dumped three books into my laps, one was of Mothern, one was Manter, and the last was Shonruk, by the end of that day I had learned all three, to my surprise Herrah revealed that the Mosskin's language revolved around using empathy to communicate, as each Mosskin was capable of empathy.
It took a moment but after a minute I had found a fairly good empathy quirk called feel the feel's, where then the same process as with the Hive person happened, they brought in a Mosskin, he brought them into his mindscape, they taught him the language, he was fluent in it by the end of the day.
Thread, Body expansion, Pliabody, Tough stuff, Liquefaction, Energy efficiency, Air wall, Scanning, Mimicry, Crystallize, Compress, X-ray vision, Infrared, Mental calculator, Re-motion, Black, Hardening, Lizard tail splitter, Softening, Earth flow, Cement, Elasticity, Muddiness, Fat absorption, Fat compression, Echolocation, Zoom, Foldabody, Leap, Longleg, Stiffening, Earthquake, Chart, Paralysis, and Yell.
For the most part Luck had been on my side when looking for specific types of quirks, though for the most part I simply wandered around randomly with no real idea of what I wanted from a quirk, I only had so long before I was busy again, just collecting all the quirk books in front of me had taken about a month considering my busy schedule learning everything about this world and the people as a I could, or well the kingdoms here, with some minor thought I quickly picked up the quirks Black, Liquefaction, Muddiness, Energy efficiency, Thread, and Scanning.
Sure some could argue that I literally could have just went around until I found a Telekinesis quirk and then got every quirk book off of a shelf and just spend forever reading them, sadly all of my quirks instantly deactivate inside the Library with Record being the only exception, as it was a subspace to the Library.
So with all my quirks ineffective, something like Telekinesis doest work, speed reading quirks don't work, mental accelerating quirks don't work, put simply most don't realize that time moves much faster in the real world If you don't have a quirk active to slow it down, so the time it would take to read a single book took about a hour in the real world, and I've already set my mind to not revealing I'm a reincarnate, If people want to believe i'm a god, so be it, it makes explaining myself easier than telling the truth.
Luckily even with the random quirks I have, there was a reason to my choices having recognized some of them, and was curious of the others, first was Black, last I checked this whole place was pitch black and covered in darkness so that would be extremely handy(with only the random glowing mushrooms in the way, I'm sure Kinoko would have loved them), next was Muddiness, this one came from a villain, it allowed the user to make someone forget the last five minutes and for the next five minutes to be muddled and hard to remember, next was Scanning, a quirk Nine previously held, it allowed the user to see how strong someone was compared to themself.
The other quirks I didn't recognize were Thread, Liquefaction, and Energy Efficiency. Thread was fairly straight forward, allowing the user to create threads of various strengths, basically just a string that was similar to spider silk, the other was Liquefaction, my body already felt liquidy so I'm curious how it will affect me, and Energy Efficiency may increase how much soul I can store as Energy efficiency increased the person's stamina and soul is technically my stamina.
Opening my eyes I let Over 9000 Thoughts flow, instantly running over possible combinations of the quirks, there was good potential with the several body fat manipulation quirks, and there was a good amount of geokinesis quirks that could be combined well.
Snapping out of my running thoughts I quickly get up and leave Harrahs home, my intentions were to explore more of the tunnels, Herrah had received several requests for me to hunt down any more Nosks left over, so here I was, literally blazing through the tunnels using Black, every so often I would run into nasty little things called Crawlers. Bugs that had wandered from Hallownest and into Deepnest and then promptly died were used as hosts by parasitic critters that attacked anything living and then its corpse was used to expand their population.
The winding tunnels were long but eventually in a random pocket in the walls, there was a bug on the ground dead, a giant scythe laid next to its corpse, and above the corpse was another Nosk, this one did not radiate the infection, its eyes pitch black and the sack under it was night black with a slight green ting, it reared back in obvious fear, Feel The Feel's allowed me to feel its fear as it tried and failed to invade my mind, clearly it was more intelligent as it tried to run, jumping up to the ceiling and tried to go over me.
There was several way I could take it out, but I instead attempted to use Liquefaction interestingly I felt the quirk slip from my grasp, and as I peared within my mind scape, the quirk was infused with my void form, deciding to think about it later I changed my attention to the still running Nosk. sinking into the darkness I blinked to be directly below it, with Laser I cut off all of its limbs, resulting in it falling from the ceiling. A startled yelp alerted me that me and the Nosk weren't alone any more.
A bug with a blue shell with a nail in its grasp, it oddly gave off the feeling of a knight and was only a few inches away from the Nosk's screaming form, using Scanning it showed that while the bug was stronger than some of the citizens in Deepnest, they were no threat to him.
"H-Halt! As a proud member of the Pale Kings guard, In the name of the Pale King, I shall bring you in, dead or alive!" the obviously masculine sounding bug drew its nail, but Feel The Feel's showed that while the knight was determined, they were mentaly shaking in fear, the obvious reason revealed as their eyes flickered between his half sunk-into-shadows body and the still flailing body of the Nosk, suddenly the knight stilled, their eyes firmly locked onto the Nosk's body.
"You-you bastard! To attack my fellow comrades! I will strike you down!" with how seamless my night vision was, combined with Dim Eyes, I almost didn't notice the obvious Lumafly Lantern that was hanging off the knights belt. What was obvious was that the Nosk, in a desperate attempt to live, had entered the knights mind to trick them into defending it. Truly the Infection was more of hindrance than a help to the Nosk species.
As the knight approached, I felt myself get pushed out of the shadows as the darkness disappeared under the lanterns light, but I was unconcerned, while I would rather not kill the bug, for many different problems beyond moral, with the Nosk still alive and messing with the bugs mind, there would be no way to properly use Muddiness on them.
Decision made, I purposefully allowed myself drop, but as the knights nail thrusted towards my mid section, I simply allowed myself to faze through it, and as I landed I passed through the knights body to make my way to the desperate Nosk, while I held no nail of my own, the chitin void around my hand and arm warbled before my trusty new rock staff was ejected from my arm and into my hand, with a single swipe the Nosks head flew from its neck-spine thing.
If I still had the ability I would have huffed in exasperation at the incredulous gasp the knight behind me made, clearly just now realizing that they had been trapped in the Nosks mind magic, but this was no time for dealing with suicidal bugs.
While I would have loved to have Shinso's or even a mind reading quirk to figure out the knights motives and directives, maybe even gleam some information on that bastard PK, I sadly didn't have the time, but this was as good as time as any to figure out what the void inside of me had done to Liquefaction.
I felt sort of like if my whole body had begun to warble as I activated it, it was like I was trying to chuck a boulder out of my void space(name pending) as the ungrateful knights nail screamed towards my head, as the nail made contact with my head, I felt the undeniably weird sensation as my body gave no resistance to the blade, cutting through my head like butter and splattering the top of my head in a gooey blackness that clung to the wall, but even though the part of my head that would allow me to see had just been lopt off, my vision felt spelt, on one hand my vision had almost taken a 360 view as I could see in every direction the goo was facing, but on the other hand, where my headless body was, it was like their were still unaffected eyes remaining at the top of my neck, allowing me to see from where my eyes would normally be, as well as anywhere that was in the gunks 'line of sight'.
The knight shreaked in fear as my near headless body moved to 'look' at the black gunk that was my head, and both me and the knight watched in rapt attention as the black goo slunk up and down the wall to make a giant blob before it lept at my body and sunk into my body, and I felt as my head began to reform from the liquid, leaving me unharmed and my head perfectly intact as it resolidified, but my body remained looking at everything with a 360 view.
The knight was now visibly shaking in both fear and confusion, seeing this as my time to strike I let my staff slip into my void space(name pending) and with a single touch all tension in the bug disappeared, all the events that had happened had only lasted three minutes, well within the quirks time limit, and as I activated Muddiness the bug became relaxed, their eyes unfocused and they almost looked drunk as they wobbled, most likely from the sudden memory loss and subsequent hard to process of all knew memories, patiently I treated the knight like a child, slipping its nail from its grasp and sheathing it and slowly pushing the knight towards the general exit of Deepnest, under my gentle push the bug began to hobble away, now none the wiser of my existence.
Interestingly as the bug hobbled away a sheet of silk-paper slipped from one of its belts pockets, and as the sheet landed at my feet, I was confronted by my own new body, black body, bluish-grey cloak, completely white mask, and glowing green pupils as my eyes, under it was the words 100,000 geo alive, 50,000 geo dead, and from what I had learned from herrah these past few months, even 50,000 geo was enough to set a bug for a very long time.
It seemed like PK was even more desperate than I realized, clearly keeping the knight alive was a good idea, if they were affiliated with the PK, and was a knight sent into Deepnest with the expectancy to remain alive, than had I killed them, it would have been all the confirmation PK would have needed to know I was here.
Pulling myself from my thoughts and future plans, I made my way to the Nosks head that had been embedded into the wall, but as I dumped it into my void space(name pending) I heard skittering the disgusting sound of something being ripped open.
Turning around I found the source of the sound was coming from the dead Nosk body, suspicious I activated Scanning but instead of the body still giving off a life force, inside of its sack a new life force was present, and as I watched cracks slowly began to appear around the unexpectedly solid sack, with one more solid crack, the shell fell away, acid spewing out and making the newborn Nosk that was just being born get caught up and swept way before the acid finally settled only a few paced away from my feet.
The newborn Nosk struggled to get its legs under its feet, while adult Nosks had long spindly legs with a spine like neck and a sack underneath them, the newborn looked like a combination of a worm and a spider, its wide, grub like, pure black body supported by eight tiny legs, its face was like similar to the domino mask Ashido always wore, the upper half of its face obscured by a pure white that surrounded its eyes, six small slits denoting to extra eyes somewhat gapped as though they were looking around before settling, its main-bigger pair of eyes seemingly unmoving with a glossy black like film where its eyes would be.
The lower part of its face was uncovered, its mouth shaped almost like a felines, its mouth open and closed repeatedly, revealing retractable fangs, two human-baby-pinky length fangs poking out from the top of each end of its mouth, a twin tinier set at its bottom resting just before the ends of its 'lips' the smaller and lower ones where segmented and jagged, like a combination of barb wire and a saw, and the top fangs were slightly curved in with the ends splitting almost unnoticeable enough for two hooked ends.
On its body almost seamlessly blending into its body were two vents at its sides, they both were segmented into three and seemed to move like it was breathing through them, almost like gills.
It seemed to take a moment longer to adjust to its surroundings, turning slowly to look at every nook and cranny, the only emotion it gave off being curiosity. If it wasn't for three things, one being the fact he was too old to be affected, two being it was a bug, and three being that it was a child, he would have been embarrass as when it faced away from him a, new hole flexed open and closed, making it fairly obvious what it's gender was, even without the use of his quirk Gender Reveal, the quirk only cemented in his mind that the newborn was indeed a female.
Finally it stopped spinning to lock onto his feet before its head slowly tilted up, and interestingly the newborns feelings of curiosity were almost entirely squashed by fear, but still the curiosity lingered, its 'eyes' locked onto mine the newborn silently quaked in fear, perhaps it knew it had killed its mother? Or maybe he was simply that intimidating.
But those questions took a backseat as the familiar prodding of a Nosk entered my mind, but unlike the others, this kind of prodding I recognized well, Telepathy. Unafraid of the newborn and scholarly interested, I allowed a 'room' to open within my mind, the proding connection instantly diving into the room.
'Predator, strong, killed.' hmm, perhaps it truly was conscious, though the language it used was a rustic mix of Arachet and Hallowech drizzled with a, most likely instinctual, mix of Moss and Bumble.
"Are you intelligent, little one?" The newborn's fear seemed to settle but was not completely relaxed, but seemed agreeable with him not instantly killing it. 'Yes, special ability of the Nosk's, when parent dies when prepared to give birth: magic, energy, soul, life, memories, and skills pass on to the child. You killed the previous me, you are not like other bugs, the infection curls away from you in fear, you did not immediately kill me, I shall join with you, pack with you as my master.' After its final words it began to mentally weave its soul before a display almost like a game appeared in front of me.
[ Will you accept the binding of Fumetsu Hoshoku-sha's mind, body, and soul to you, as well as becoming your familiar?] [Y] [N]
"What does it mean binding of your mind, body, and soul?" I asked Hoshoku-sha, honestly I'm a little surprised the whole thing was in japanese, and that her name was literally 'Immortal Predator', was that its name? The name of its species? Or was it a title given to it? Before I could ponder more I felt Hoshoku-sha's response.
'I will become yours in every way, my mind will belong to you, there for you can see into my mind, feel what I feel, hear what I think and would be able to communicate to me from anywhere, my body will also belong to you, so you can control as you please and be able to tell me what do do with me incapable of doing anything to stop it, and my soul will be yours, allowing you to control my magic as well as use it for yourself. Essentially, I will become your Familiar. As for why, you are stronger than anything I have every encountered in my lives, we will be bonded in a way that no magic can revoke, I will literally become a part of you, but in doing so I will become stronger from it, and I will remain safe from your eventually hunting down of the rest of my species.'
Well, she certainly answered all of my questions, while I've heard how dangerous Nosk's are, she is literally only doing this to survive, but well, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and this sounds like another thing I should just accept as is.
Moving my hand I pressed on the [Y] that was in the air, as soon as I did that a crackle filled the air, the notice disappeared and suddenly tendrils of void began to reach out before cocooning around the newborn body of . Only a short moment passed before the void retreated back into my body, leaving Hoshoku-sha's body slumped onto the floor, while shape wise she looked the same, certain new additions had been added to her body.
Firstly was that her eyes were like mine now, but while the green glow in my eyes were bright, she now had what looked like a lighter shade of green as eyes now, she had bulked up slightly, her legs became more muscular and her body a bit more streamlined.
Where the beginnings of her 'neck' would be black interlocking chain links circled her whole neck, and was imprinted like a tattoo, a giant red cross now was in the middle of the upper part of her face, and as her mouth opened green electricity danced between her fangs, and now she had a extremely small pair of stumps on top of her mask like face, almost looking like a small imitation of his own horns, another was that her body was completely black, but the underside of her body now had a bluish-grey hue to it.
Another change I immediately noticed was that I could feel her mind, like a small hallway connected our minds, yet I could tell that it would only go one way unless I allowed it, another was that all of my senses had, not persay doubled, but I'm sure I was feeling everything Hoshoku-sha was physically feeling, another was that she now had a soul orb, one that was slowly filling, though at a rate that was considerably slower than my own, and almost distantly I could feel my connection to her soul energy, like I could easily take it away, and vise versa, but through it all, every connection I felt with her seemed to be one sided, Hoshoku-sha was feeling none of what I was, all she knew was that there was now a connection between us.
Deciding I had spent enough time here, with a mental tug Hoshoku-sha had seemingly collapsed into herself, making herself about the size of a tarantula back home before climbing up on me and onto my shoulder, even though she was stronger after the bond was forged, she still had no chance of following him on foot, but amazingly as I sunk into dark blackness around me, Hoshoku-sha sunk in with me, remaining on my 'shoulder', but I figure I can experiment later, there was still more to hunt after all.
Fun fact of the day: me mixed with predator magic was broken, the few Nosks I had found and killed over the past week were all infected, so with a lower intellect, and not ever suspecting their own magic to be turned on them, every Nosk I came across never stood a chance.
Interestingly, bonding with Hoshoku-sha had caused her to become a void being like myself, meaning that she required nothing to survive, though her throat was undeveloped, she said she would later be able to speak with a actual mouth, another was that with the bond, if I so allowed it, she was capable of interacting with some of the powers I had, though she remained incapable of using any of my powers unless she was in contact with me, which was another interesting thing.
As long as she was in contact with me, my quirks or abilities that would normally end up leaving her behind or knocking her off would instead include her, as if she was part of my body. Though that wasnt to far off considering any part of her body felt like my own, while I certainly allowed her to think and move as she pleased, her ability to interact with my own abilities offered some interesting battle strategies.
These battle strategies included something I had always wished I had been able to do, a quirk that I had gained while I was still human was Clairvoyance, a ability I did not use often for the sole reason of how disorienting it was, the quirk basically allowed me to set up what was basically a third eye anywhere around my body in a fixed location, but a perk of becoming a vessel is that I was unable to be disoriented, as I was capable of literally seeing in every direction, it was useful as it allowed me to see things from another perspective, the annoying part is that I'm only able to create one 'eye'.
But, with Hoshoku-sha able to also use my quirks, i'm able to not only see in every direction, able to see from Hoshoku-sha's angle, able to see from my selected place, I could also see through Hoshoku-sha's selected place as well, basically making me able to see from practically any angle, basically seeing 360 around my self, below me with the use of Hoshoku-sha's eyes, behind my opponent and in front of my opponent which was useful since when I faced multiple opponents I usually got a bad case of tunnel vision, which was also removed thanks to all the angles I could see from.
(basically it's like in the game where you always knew where everything was on the screen even when your character wasn't facing them, and even able to see the front of your enemies and beyond them as well.)
Soon enough after a long week of hunting and experimenting with Hoshoku-sha's new body, I made it back to Deepnest, where I couldn't wait for the amusing reactions I was sure was waiting for me when everyone in Deepnest saw Hoshoku-sha.
'I'm living the fanfic 'A not so hollow knight' in fucking real life, KYAAAA!' unlike what many would have expected, the previous body of Ghost was not the only one to be reincarnated, as the future Hollow Knight was also a reincarnate named Cherry Gardner, a extremely avid fan of hollow knight and my hero academia as well as the many fanfics that occurred because of the fanbases.
'That was totally Ghost right? But that lightning and the green eyes, that never happened before, omg! What if that was Deku! No no, bad Cherry, rein yourself in girl, ugh! Why can't I have the same guts Wasp had! Oh right, because of the stupid mind control stopping me from attacking or defying the cock sucker in front of me.'
'Ok, plan time, what do I need? Ugh, the dream nail is totally important, but so is gaining contact with Ghost or whoever that was earlier, mmmmm, ack!' comically, black smoke began to rise where Cherry's ears would normally be.
'I just coasted through life by scraping by in school with C's and D's and got a major in tech and spent the rest of my time working, playing games, watching anime, or reading fanfiction, and I'm not even that good of a planner, why did I have to get hit by a stupid plane? I thought it was supposed to be a truck that sends me to another world, HEY! World! I want a god damn refund on life that isnt being a puppet to this sick fuck!' All the while Cheery ranted at the being that gave her new life, Cherry had unknowingly had attended the meeting with Herrah, having completely missed her chance to help her situation.
Well, that happened, So this was supposed to be longer than the previous chapter by a large margin, but after I wrote it I decided I didn't like it and suddenly I was like, but what if I fucked with this world just a bit more, and decided to but this OC in, please give a warm welcome to my new OC, Cherry Gardner, yes her name exists for the sole reason the creators of Hollow knight are called team cherry and I couldn't think of a creative last name and only last moment clarity stopped me from calling her cherry garden anyway, Review!...or something.
