"Kaeya, may I ask why I'm hearing that Outrider Amber is now patrolling the streets in a maid outfit?" The Acting Grandmaster asked him in an accusing tone.
"Oh? That's just from an agreement we had. This should give her a good lesson on humility or something a caring senpai would say." Kaeya waved his hands in her direction, but Jean wasn't having it.
She grabbed Kaeya's wrist, saying nothing as the two stayed in that position for a period of time.
"Fine, fine. She was snooping around and I got blackmail to get her into a maid outfit." Kaeya pulled his wrist back, turning to see a frowning Jean.
"A Knight of Favonious shouldn't be using blackmail, especially on their fellow knights." She began lecturing in a disapproving tone.
"Come now, Jean. It's not like it's for anything criminal~ I'm just having a good natured back and forth with her~" Kaeya gave a bright smile that anyone would be able to tell was fake.
"I don't like the example you're setting for those under you and the image you're creating of the Knights. This is probably why Diluc-Senpai doesn't acknowledge us." Jean crossed her arms with a sigh.
"Still calling him Diluc-Senpai, mm?" Kaeya asked in a teasing tone, getting her to immediately blush before looking away.
"N-no! I just meant Sir Diluc!" Jean did her best to lie, before Kaeya gave a soft chuckle.
"Diluc's view of us will never be positive until a lot of things change." He shrugged, before he gave a more solemn smile. "I think you have bigger things to worry about over how he sees The Knights. Unless you're more worried about what he thinks about you?"
"No! I'm just respectful to what a former member would have to say about us! There's nothing more than that!" Jean said defensively, crossing her arms and avoiding eye contact.
Kaeya didn't say anything, merely turning around to leave the conversation at that, letting the door close behind him.
Jean frowned as she watched the back of her Cavalry Captain disappear behind the door. He always had such a strange reaction after teasing her about Diluc.
With Kaeya
The Cavalry Captain kept a smile to himself, flipping his gold coin repeatedly in his hand before he opened the door to his office to see an irate bunny maid girl.
"Oh? Was there something you needed, Outrider Amber?" Kaeya asked, honestly surprised to see her.
He'd have thought she would avoid him at all cost while wearing that, but here she was, strutting her new thigh highs that were doing an admirable effort of containing what being an active member of The Knights for many years could do for you.
"I'm here because I want to know your end game." She crossed her arms under her chest, only serving to lift them.
Was Kaeya some sort of pervert? No. Of course not. He just found it extremely amusing that Amber did all these things without recognizing how it looks to an outsider.
"Whatever could you mean? I've done absolutely nothing so far." Kaeya said truthfully.
Really, what was she upset about this time? Sure, he got her into that outfit, but that was about it really.
"You… you! I don't believe for a second that you'd just make me wear this with no ulterior motives! You have to be planning something!" Amber was fuming for some reason.
Ah. She must have overthought things. She's only recently reached drinking age, so who's to tell what she must've thought while wearing this all day?
"Outrider Amber. There's nothing more than this. I merely wanted to give you what seemed like an adequate punishment and nothing more." Kaeya did his best to put some authority in his voice, but Amber didn't believe him for one bit.
"Someone like you always has something up his sleeve…" She glared, making a facial expression almost akin to pouting.
…
That's strange. Was she hoping he'd be up to something? It didn't seem like she was attracted to him, but that she was hoping he'd do something either to be right about something or to affirm her own pride as a woman.
How cute.
Kaeya stepped closer to her, letting his office door close behind him as he looked down at her eyes that were full of courage as they stared back up at him.
"Please do tell, Miss Amber…~ What is it that I could possibly be planning?" The Cavalry Captain asked, emphasizing the user of her name as he towered over her, the height difference between the two being nearly comical.
Amber was about to say something before she realized the situation. She began blushing heavily, avoiding meeting Kaeya's eyes as she whistled nervously to the side.
"Ohh… Nothing… Why don't you tell me what you could possibly do to me?" Amber did her best to play the reverse card, but unfortunately, our dear red rabbit isn't the brightest.
"Well, since you asked~ I could easily overpower you right now since we're both aware that i'm not a Cavalry Captain just for show~ To come into such a "shady" person's office wearing such a risque outfit while knowing full well of the person's capabilities outmatching yours is such a daring move, I must say~" He gave a friendly smile, answering as if he was just asked about the weather, while he lightly brushed his hand along Amber's cheek, leaning lower to have both their faces nearly meet.
"W-w-w-wha?!" Amber's face became as red as her ribbon as she immediately backed up into the wall behind her, getting into a defensive position. "I knew it! You are an enemy!"
Kaeya chuckled to himself, ignoring her as he made his way to his desk, sitting in his chair.
"Come now, Amber. I was merely answering what I could have done and with how you were acting, it's safe to assume that your mind wanders into such naughty areas~" Kaeya maintained his cool and collected demeanor, immediately turning his attention to the paperwork ahead of him.
"W-what…" Amber had a look of disbelief as she stood with her back against the wall still looking like she was ready to scrap if it came down to it.
"Was there anything else you needed? Or did you just really want to see me?" He teased, purposely riling her up just for fun.
In response she stomped over to him, standing on the other side of his desk with her fists clenched and shaking angrily by her side as her face looked like she was trying to keep a serious face while holding back her embarrassment.
"Stop messing with me!" She yelled, slamming her hands down onto his desk as she leaned over it to glare at him with enough heat to make him feel like he was sweating.
"Mm? Would you prefer it if I take you seriously?" Kaeya asked with a smile, keeping his one eye open as he rested his head into his hand, propping himself up by his elbow.
"Yes! Everything you do and say makes it seem like you're looking down on me!" She ranted, getting irritated as he continued to sit there smugly.
It had only been less than three minutes that the two were together and Amber was already about to shoot at him again.
"So does that mean our dearest Outrider would like me to treat her like any other senior knight here?" Kaeya asked for clarification.
Amber didn't like the tone in his voice, but she nodded regardless, narrowing her eyes skeptically as he head went up and down slowly.
"Then so be it, remember you asked for this~" Kaeya brushed her hair aside gently with the back of his hand, tilting his head as he began leaning in, his face moving close to hers.
Amber froze up as Kaeya leaned in, her eyes widening before shutting as her face turned crimson once more. Her mind raced through a million thoughts in one moment with the one taking first priority was "Oh no! This is my first kiss! What should I do?"
She braced herself before she felt pressure on her head, looking up to see Kaeya had placed a simple peck on her head before returning back to his seat with a curious smile.
"W-wha?" Amber asked, rubbing where her superiors' lips once were, still trying to process things.
"You look like you were expecting something else~ Were you hoping for something more?" Kaeya asked, holding back a snicker.
Amber within the past eight minutes had been swapping back and forth between being furious and acting like a schoolgirl at a record breaking pace. It wasn't too surprising that after the twentieth change in emotion, that she could easily bounce back into being angry.
Line Break
Rosaria had immediately came out of nowhere the moment Baron Bunny made a new entrance to come in from in Kaeya's office.
She had expected a terrorist attack or that someone had sabotaged something. With her memory of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, she recognized from afar that it was Kaeya's office.
She had assumed that all of his sneaky subterfuge had finally caught up with him and that someone had decided that it was time they got even with him.
Upon arrival however, she was met with a very different scene than she was expecting.
Jean was reprimanding Kaeya and Amber who had their heads down like little kids.
"I didn't think i'd have to do this again, but you'll be joining Klee in solitary confinement, Amber. Kaeya, you will be helping Lisa during off hours as punishment." Jean sighed, holding her hand to her head.
"Yes, Acting Grandmaster…" The two said in unison.
"Ah, Sister Rosaria. I'm sorry if we have disturbed you and most of Monstadt." Jean gave a quick bow in apology. "It seems our Cavalry Captain took teasing one of our knights too far and in turn, she blew him up."
Rosaria looked at the two in question with Kaeya snickering behind her back while Amber was looking extremely mortified. Another curious thing was that she was wearing a very risque maid outfit.
"I see… I was just making sure nothing happened, especially since this is Kaeya's office." Rosaria turned her attention back to Jean who nodded in understanding.
"I thank you for your worry, but I am sure that if anyone is safe, Cavalry Captain Kaeya would no doubt be the last person one should expect to be harmed." Jean sighed, crossing her arms as she turned towards the two.
Immediately Kaeya feigned a look of guilt.
"I trust that you two are responsible enough to understand what to do from here." The Acting Grandmaster said, earning a nod from both of them. "Good. I'll see you two tomorrow and please don't create such a scene again."
She then covered up a yawn before she made her way out of the office, no doubt back to another pile of paperwork.
"I-i'll be going too then!" Amber dashed off before either of them could say another word.
Kaeya turned to see the sister with a look of annoyance on her face. Why she seemed annoyed was evident when he caught her looking at Amber's retreating form.
"Ah, Sister Rosaria. I hope you weren't too worried about me. As you can see, I simply had a disagreement with a colleague of mine." He gave her a sly grin, prompting her to meet his eyes with her own.
"Is it normal for your "colleague" to be in your office alone while wearing a maid outfit? I was only aware that the Apprentice Knight had such a job." She questioned, getting a smirk from him.
"Oh, dear me. Is that jealousy I hear? You know i'll always make time to drink with you, Sister Rosaria~" Kaeya's voice was patronizing, getting her to narrow her eyes.
"For your information. I'm just curious as to why such a "respectable" figure of the Knights of Favonius would allow such a thing." Rosaria was already tired of his antics, but he merely chuckled.
"I needed to punish her and the best thing I could think of was to humble her with that outfit. Nothing more, nothing less. As you can see, she was none too happy about it." Kaeya explained, spreading his arms in a gesture of surrender.
"Hn…" The redhead didn't say anything, merely turning around to jump out of the new exit that had been made in Kaeya's office.
"If you wish, I have no company tonight. I wouldn't mind getting a drink right now if you were the one to accompany me." He offered, getting her to pause momentarily.
"I'd rather drink alone." She said coldly, not offering him another glance before disappearing.
"Hah, just as cold as ever. Well, I guess that means to see her at the same time then." The bluenette thought to himself, before looking around his office.
"Ah… She blew up some of the books that Lisa kept in here…" He realized and a rare face of what could be called "fear" was temporarily etched on Kaeya's face.
AN: I didn't forget this fic! Not that anyone really seems to remember.
Either way, tossing in a Kaeya Fanfiction that has no yaoi in it, so all's good in my world.
Even though Genshin Fics on FF is rather sparse, i'm hoping to add to the community no matter how amateurish my writing is for this. First time Genshin fic and all.
If you'd like to join to troll me, say something nice or just chill, you can join this Discord Server at [discord gg anwfEbYYQv].
On arrival, look for the channel RedGlitchFox and if i'm there, cool. It'd be nice to meet other Genshin fans especially to conversate about not just this fic, but other ideas involving it.
Or just spam waifus.
