When Push Comes To Shove ch. 20
Vega and I have been training the little rugrats for what feels like an eternity and the first game of the season is finally fuckin here. I did as much research about learning the rules to games because I'm gonna let people talk about me knowing anything or bad-mouth being too young to couch a couple munchkins even though the pop star is the one that handled most of the practices. I can't help it that I like seeing how incredibly fit my girlfriend is or how her shorts looks like they're painted on but that's not the point as I learn as much as I possibly could the last couple of weeks since we've started. Haru couldn't stop talking about staring in her first game and Ashley has made some decent amount of process since she started as the two have spent the last two weeks practicing in the backyard or at the park, not too far from the house. The blonde soccer lately has spending a lot of time at the house after school or sleepover practically every other weekend which I don't really mind too much since she's sweetheart and it's nice that the little nerd has someone her own age to hang out with.
It's just the fact her parents don't seem to give two shits about their daughter or her well-being and it's taking everything in me not to go their home to slap the fuck outta the both of them. Unfortunately I know that it probably won't make much of a difference the dad is drowning himself in beer and potato chips to give a shit while the mom couldn't care less about what goes on in her daughter's life since her job so much important to her. It doesn't matter because I'm making that Ashley is being look after and honestly I kinda like having another little sister to take care of so there's that and Ma doesn't mind too much about having another kid in the house. For weeks the munchkins have been training their butts off so they're pump for their first game and I have to admit that I'm pretty fuckin hyped as they are for this but I'm not about admit it. Both soccer players were impossible last night as they were too excited to sleep but went easy when I threaten to bench them both but now the morning of the game, they're practically bouncing off of the walls and this all before breakfast.
I honestly don't know where the hell they're getting all this energy from because I need all the caffeine that I can possibly to function this early in the goddamn morning as Ma makes us full course breakfast with oatmeal, eggs, bacon, sausage and orange juice. Ma was looking forward this, rearranging her schedule so she would be able to come and from what I was told Mai was flying in earlier than expected from wherever her conference was at so she could come. The blonde doesn't saying about her parents coming or not but I knew that they weren't since when I asked a few days ago when she try to put on a brave face as she said that her heartless mother had said that she had other things to do with her time. I never wanted nothing more than to slap this bitch silly for neglecting her daughter like this but it wouldn't change anything because there are just shitty ass people in the world that don't deserve to have children. After eating, I told the girl to make sure that they have everything and to go to the bathroom before regardless if they have to go or not as I load up the cooler fill with red and yellow Gatorade and snacks for the kids to eat.
I'm not about to deal with the rugrats passing out on me if I can help it. Haru and Ashley hop into the backseat, buckling their seat-belts as I pull off from the curb towards Vega's so we can have one last run through with the team before the game starts and thankfully, she was already outside when I pull up. I have to say that I'm love seeing the pop singer in these tiny soccer shorts because the material cling to her ass deliciously but I have enough self control not to doing about it… yet but soon enough I'm going to show my appreciation. Vega slides into the passenger seat with her tied back into a high ponytail, showing her slim neck and I know that I was staring too long when she turns my face back onto the road with the kiddies making kissing noises behind me but I don't really care. It doesn't take long to get to the field and thankfully the parents brought their kids on time because the last thing that I need to deal with is fully grown adults thinking that their kids are the next soccer star. I look up the rules on my phone to see how many players are supposed to be on the field for each team and I knew which five I want to play for the first half of the game when the opposing team finally shows.
The kids on the team look like they were on the small side and the coach look like he spent more time stuff his face with chili cheese hot dogs and nachos than training his time but we'll see when the game starts although I'm not too worried. The pop singer gather the munchkin to give them an inspirational speech about doing their best and working together as a team before looking at me to add something which I muttered under my breath that I'm proud of, hoping that they wouldn't be able to understand me. Unfortunately they did before cheering loudly as they rush onto the field. Within a couple of seconds into the game, I knew that this game was in bag as the players from the other team was so unorganized and bumping into each other as they scramble to make play for the ball if you could even call it that. Haru easily takes the ball from one of the player as she makes her way down the field before passing it to one of her teammates who lines up to the shot then kicking into the goal past the opposing goalie, scoring a goal. I'm proud of my sister, turning to see where the score keeper was to see the score and it remain at zero to zero and I'm confused by it didn't change when my team clearly just score as I make my way over to him.
When I asked the redheaded dipstick why he didn't change the score when my team scored and he gives me some bullshit about not wanting to keep score so no one would feel bad or dumb shit like that, pissing me the fuck off.
"Look here you dumb fuck, you're doing anyone any favors by trying to spare their feelings. They're gonna have to deal with wins and losses sooner or later as long as they know that they learn from them and do better next time." I said grabbing him by the front of his shirt. "You're gonna keep score and not act like the useless dumbass that I know that you are or you're gonna be introduced to the sharp edges of my scissors. Is that understood?"
"Y-Y-Yes" He stutters fearfully.
"Good, I'm glad that we understand each other" I said patting his cheek with a smile.
"Did you really have to threaten the poor guy?" Vega asked when I walk over to her with my arms folded. "I think that you might have traumatized him"
"Hey, you have your way of dealing assholes and I have mine" I said shrugging my shoulders. "Either way I got him to keep score"
"I guess but I know that as much as you put up a front of 'you could care less' about the team, you'll looking after them and they're lucky to have you" Vega said smiling.
"Whatever you say, Vega" I said rolling my eyes.
Watching the team dominate the entire first half was very satisfying and even more so as Ashley was steadily climbing with every goal that she stopped as Vega and I routine sub in and out so everyone could get some time out on the field. We call time outs when necessary to go over what play we want to try out when halftime go into effect as Gatorade and oranges are pass out to keep the munchkins' energies up when Haru and Ashley look to see Ma and Mai holding up signs with their names on and I could see that it was giving some extra motivation. I look at the score to see that it's eight to two and I wasn't too worried by other catching up because the two goal was penalty goals. The second half of the game was same as the first with the team dominating over the opposing team with the final score being seventeen to four and the other team was bummed by the score with a few of them, trying to hide their disappointment with their arms over their eyes. My munchkins show some true sportsmanship by comforting their opponents and I couldn't be any prouder of them right now as they waited until they were far enough away to cheer loudly over their victory.
Before I knew it, I'm tackle to the ground by several tiny bodies and it was near impossible to get them off no matter how many times I threaten to give every one of them noogies or wedgies. Vega wasn't much help either as she takes a picture with her PearPhone with huge smile on her face before telling to get off me with exception of my two little nerds who still high from their victory as I pull out my phone. I give to Haru so she could turn on the camera as I pull the pop star between my legs and the four of us take picture and up load it to my account on The Slap.
"Who wants pizza?"
"I do" Haru and Ashley said waving their hands.
"Okay but you munchkins are taking a bath as we get home because you two are pretty ripe" I said holding my nose between my thumb and index.
"Hey, don't be mean. We've been running" Haru said punching my arm.
"Excuses, excuses" I said playfully rolling my eyes.
"Tori, Jade's being mean" Haru whines.
"Jade, stop being to Haru" Tori reprimands lightly. "She just won her game"
I scoff lightly before pushing myself off of the ground, dusting the back of my pants as I take my phone back to order some pizza and I hear Vega stage whisper to the kiddos how proud I am of them but didn't want to admit. I'm proud of them but it's not in me to be that open about my feelings although people that truly know me understand and this is only game one of the season before the playoff as I plan to take the team all the way. I'm more than confident that this team can win.
