Cyrus Buford left the hotel and turned to Mystery Inc. and Team RWBY. "Yeah and i'm sure you kids will enjoy your stay, if you survive that is." he said in an ominous manner even though the groups knew what he was talking about

"RSurvive?" Scooby said in a worried manner

"Now, don't you pay that Cyrus Buford any mind. Welcome, y'all. I'm Lorelei Leland." Lorelei said

Everyone was now heading upstairs to get their rooms.. Velma had decided to ask Lorelei a question.

"So Lorelei, who was that guy giving you a hard time?" Velma asked

"Cyrus T. Buford. He wants to buy the Leland Family Cemetery so he can expand the Rivergate. That's his hotel and water park." Lorelei answered as they passed by a window that showed a view of the said water park

"How is he trying to get you to sell?" Blake asked

"He's trying to use the legend of the Leland ghosts to make me sell." Lorelei answered as they got to the rooms

"That was no legend we saw in the graveyard." Fred said

"You saw them?" Lorelei said confused a little

"Yeah, they are one gruesome two-some." Ruby said

Shaggy looked up at the painting him and Scooby were next to and screamed, "And like, there they are again!"

"Those are just portraits, Shaggy." Weiss says

The painting in question was a picture of Jed and Caleb Leland back when they were still alive.

"That's right, of my great-great-great-great granduncles. Union Jed and Rebel Caleb." Lorelei said

"Jeepers." Daphne sad

They heard a noise as they turned to where the noise came from, they sa a figure covered in shadows. Naturally, Shaggy and Scooby screamed and Scooby jumped into Shaggy's arms

"RGhost!" Scooby said

"That's no ghost, that's just my brother Taylor." Lorelei said as she chuckled a bit and as Taylor walked over

"What's the big idea scaring the chitlins out of our guests?" Lorelei asked

Scooby started sniffing Taylor's shoes cause he noticed mud on them.

"Sorry, Lorelei, I was just...tidying up the rooms." Taylor said

Shaggy looked at one of the rooms, saw that it was a huge mess, gulped, and said, "Like, nice work."

Scooby shook out of fear as Lorelei bent down to pet him to calm him down.

"There, there. Now, what happened here?" Lorelei said as she took out a piece of cloth from in-between Scooby's collar

"That's all that's left of Scooby's Mardi Gras costume." Ruby explained

"Well, that won't do at all. Everyone needs a costume at Mardi Gras time." Lorelei said

"Reah." Scooby said

"But for now, you must be tired. Have a good night, y'all." Lorelei said as she headed downstairs

"Now, you kids best not be going out into the cemetery. You hear?" Taylor said getting everyone's attention

"We hear you, loud and clear." Ruby said

"Because you know what they say about old Jed and Caleb?" Taylor asked

Everyone shook their heads and Shaggy, Scooby, and Ruby didn't really want to find out but Ruby knew they would anyways.

"Every night, they appear...looking for new recruits to drag into their armies of the undead." Taylor said as he went downstairs

Everyone was silent for a few seconds until Yang said something.

"Okay, did anybody else notice something odd about Taylor's boots?" Yang asked

"Yeah, I actually did." Daphne answered

"Leave it to Daphne and Yang to notice a fashion faux pas." Velma said

"We aren't talking fashion, we're talking mud. It was all over his boots." Daphne clarified

"He must have been outside recently. But why this late at night?" Weiss comments

Mystery Inc. and Team RWBY were looking around the graveyard with flashlights. Shaggy heard a noise and screamed as he jumped right on top of a four and fell sat up and saw a skeleton right on top of him.

"Help! I've been grabbed by a ghoulish ghost!" Shaggy said

Everyone ran over and Fred and Ruby helped him out of the four and the skeleton fell to the bottom and broke apart.

"That was no ghost. It was just a plain old skeleton, see?" Velma said as she pulled out the skull

Naturally, Shaggy screamed and ended up jumping right into Ruby's arms out of fear.

"Like, that's supposed to make me feel LESS scared?" Shaggy asked

"Oh, great." Daphne said

"What is it?" Fred asked

"There's icky gunck all over my new shoes." Daphne said as she sat down on a stone bench

"I'm calling it that that gunk is some sort of a clue." Yang said

"Hey, Daphne, how are you going to get back with only one shoe on?" Blake asked

"You know me, I always come prepared." Daphne said as she pulled out a spare matching shoe and gave the guncked up one to Velma and put on the spare shoe

"Yeah, this is a clue Yang, but what I am wondering is how this is connected to the Leland legend." Velma says

"We should talk to an expert. And I know just the man." Fred said

LATER AT THE START POINT OF HAUNTED NEW ORLEANS TOURS

"Any idea what this is, Mr. Crawdad Mike?" Weiss asked as Velma handed her the guncked up shoe

He took a quick sniff of the gunk and looked at it and said, "Oh, mais oui, they call this the ectoplasm." he explained

"Ectoplasm...that''s what ghosts are made out of." Fred said

''You mean we've been carrying around...ghost guts?" Shaggy said

Scooby made a sound that meant he was clearly disgusted.

"I'm not so sure about that..." Weiss said as she took a closer look at the gunk on Daphne's shoe

"Ma petite, I know all there is to know about the ghosts in this city. And for just 6 Lien each, i'll give you all the V.I.P. Tour!" Crawdad Mike said in response

Daphne went to pull out some of her Lien before Blake gently pushed her arm down and said, "Not right now, we have work to do."

They all started walking.

"And before that, we have dinner to eat." Shaggy added
