Fred, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, Weiss, Blake,and Yang were all walking up to the graveyard entrance.
"If the ghosts kidnapped Daphne and Ruby, this is where they would bring them." Fred said as they entered the graveyard
Blake noticed some footprints on the ground and said, "Well, somebody was generous enough to leave fresh footprints."
"Ghosts wouldn't leave footprints...would they?" Yang asked
"They would if they were wearing Civil War boots." Velma answered
"And I bet if we follow the footprints, we'll find Ruby and Daphne." Weiss added
Scooby was sniffing around by a bush, poked his head into the bush and left the bush with a possum on his nose. After the possum tapped Scooby's nose a few times with it's ail and hopped off, Scooby sneezed hard enough and flew backwards removing the footprints therefore eliminating that chance of finding the two kidnapped friends.
"Like, gesundheit, man." Shaggy said
"Oh no, we lost the trail of footprints." Fred said seeing the footprints were gone
"Now we have no way of knowing where they were leading." Velma said
"Velma, you, Weiss, Blake, and I will explore the graveyard. Yang, you Shaggy, and Scooby guard the gate and don't let anybody in or out." Fred ordered
"L-L-Like, who would be coming OUT of a cemetery?" Shaggy said as Fred, Velma, Weiss, and Blake walked off
WITH FRED VELMA WEISS AND BLAKE
Fred, Velma, Blake, and Weiss were looking around as they walked. Eventually, hey realized that not only did they need to find Ruby and Daphne, but they needed to make a plan.
"There isn't a single trace of Ruby, Daphne, or the ghosts." Weiss said
"Well, as they say, the best plan to make is to make a plan." Fred said as he sat down on a rock
The moment Fred sat on the rock, some glowing lights went off. He sat up and said, "What was that about?"
"I think you sat off those lights by sitting on that rock." Velma said
"What? Impossible." Fred said
Blake then pushed down on the rock and the lights showed up again and she said, "Very possible. But what in the name of the kingdoms does it mean?"
Weiss climbed up the tree the lights were coming from and grabbed a projector. Just a random projector.
"Some sort of projection." Weiss said as she hopped down with the projector
"I think I have this mystery figured out. But Fred, we need a trap from you." Blake said
AT THE GRAVEYARD ENTRANCE
Shaggy, Scooby, and Yang were walking around by the entrance to the graveyard. Shaggy and Scooby were whistling while Yang was talking to her and Ruby's father on her scroll.
"Yes, dad, we have somebody looking for her." Yang sad
"Who is looking for her?" Taiyang asked
"Fred, Velma, Weiss, and Blake." Yang answered
"You might want to tell them to hurry up then, Yang." Taiyang said
"Can't. They are too far into the graveyard to have a good enough call to chat. Anyways, i'll call you back when we find her. Okay?" Yang said
"Okay, bye." Taiyang said as he hung up
A loud wail was heard from in the graveyard and Shaggy and Scooby stopped what they were doing.
"Tell me that's one of you two wailing." Shaggy said
"Nope, I ain't even trying to joke around with you two." Yang said
"RWasn't me." Scooby said
They hard it again and ran further into the graveyard before they came to a stop after hearing it a third time.
"Wait, that sounds like a girl's voice. Scoob, Yang, it could be Daphne and Ruby." Shaggy said
"But how do we find them?" Yang asked
Scooby mimed out something that basically meant to try to call Ruby since she always answers her scroll for Shaggy or Yang.
"Right. Ruby always answers her scroll for us no matter what. I even got her on speed dial." Shaggy said as he pulled out his scroll and went through his speed dial contacts. "Let's see...Fred...Pizza Palace...Velma...groceries...Teriyaki Bowl...mom...Yang...Ruby!" Shaggy said as he started calling Ruby
A distant ring similar to the ring of a payphone but more digitized went off in the distance.
"That's Ruby's scroll. Follow the ring!" Shaggy said as the three took off running in the direction the ringing was coming from
After a minute or so, they came up to a mausoleum that looked like it's door was opened recently and peeked inside the crack with a flashlight and not only did they see Ruby tied up and gagged, but they also happened to find Daphne tied up and gagged tied to Ruby.
"Daphne, Ruby! Don't worry you two, Scoob, Yang, and I are here.' Shaggy said as he opened the door and the three went inside
The moment they went inside though, the door shut behind them. Shaggy's flashlight went out as Scooby gulped.
WITH FRED VELMA WEISS AND BLAKE
Velma and Weiss had just finished digging a hole for Fred's trap and climbed out. Blake was watching over the area in case the ghosts tried to sneak up on them.
"Okay, Fred, the hole is nice and deep!" Weiss said
"Thanks you two." Fred said as he came running over to them with a bunch of moss and sticks covered with moss
"I built a foolproof trap." Fred said as him, Weiss, and Velma along with Blake who hopped down from where she was watching over the area walked over to where the rest of the trap was
"Anyone coming through here in the dark will trip over those barrels and shoot down the water slide. They'll get instantly caught by that wire spring which is attached to that big catapult. When I hear the sproing sound, I pull the trigger and catapult the culprit right into the moss covered pit." Fred explained
"That plan seems stable. Now we just need to hope that it doesn't mess up." Blake says
"I admire the simplicity." Velma said
BACK WITH SHAGGY SCOOBY RUBY YANG AND DAPHNE
Shaggy and Scooby were shaking while Yang had managed to get the flashlight back on and tried to untie Ruby and Daphne. The two were struggling to get out of the ropes and tried to speak but couldn't cause they were gagged. Shaggy took off their gags.
"Thanks, you two." Ruby said
"We were grabbed by those two slimy soldiers." Daphne added
"I can't budge this knot!" Yang said still trying to untie the rope
"We have to hurry. They could show up again any second." Ruby said looking around
"I have an idea." Shaggy said as he pulled out the Five Skull Fire Sauce from earlier. "Five Skull Fire Sauce should burn through anything!" he added
Shaggy took off the cap and put a drop of the hot sauce on the knot and just like that, the knot was burnt through. Yang and Ruby hugged each other tightly.
"It's okay, Ruby. We're here." Yang said as she pat Ruby's back
Scooby handed Daphne the green purse she had brought on this spring break as they walked over to the tried to open the door but had no luck.
"It's like, locked up tight." Shaggy said
"Stand back."Yang said as she popped her knuckles
Everyone got out of the way as she punched the door wide open. They all stepped out of the mausoleum. However, they saw the ghosts standing right there. They all screamed and took off running
WITH BLAKE FRED VELMA AND WEISS
Fred and Velma were by the trigger for the trap but Blake and Weiss were hiding around a corner with a net in case Fred's over the top, yet somehow still simple, plan failed.
"Somebody's coming." Velma said as she heard rustling in the bushes
"I'm ready..." Fred said as he tightened his grasp on the trap trigger
"Wait...hold on...I think it's...Daphne? Ruby? Yang?" Velma said as the three she mentioned came out of the bush\
They heard Shaggy screaming as he rolled on a barrel. Then he slid down the water slide and got caught by the spring loaded catapult making a sproing nose. Just as the noise went off, Fred pulled the trigger sending Shaggy flying. Luckily, he landed just a few inches away from the moss covered pit.
"Zoinks! And lots more Zoinks!" Shaggy screamed as he saw the two ghosts they were all investigating
A shadow fell over the ghosts as a loud noise was heard. They looked back and saw that there was another ghost! This scared them and they unknowingly, ran right into the moss covered pit.
"Get us out of here!" one of the ghosts yelled
Shaggy turned to the third ghost and said, "Nice Mardi Gras costume Scoob, you really had us going there."
Scooby took off his mask and tossed a lasso over the two ghosts in the pit and tied them up and with Daphne, Shaggy, and Blake's help, pulled them out of the pit.
Lorelei walked over and asked, "What's going on?"
"I think this long lasting duel has finally come to an end." Fred said
"I'll bet that creepy Taylor is behind this." Ruby said
"With Cyrus T. Buford?" Fred added
"But there is still ONE MORE suspect."Weiss said as her and Velma pulled off the masks of the ghosts revealing they were really...Crawdad Mike and his tour bus driver.
"Crawdad Mike?!" Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, Scooby, Blake, Yang, and Ruby said in unison
"And his driver." Weiss added
"Who helped him steer a high speed scare." Velma finished
Later, some cops had shown up to arrest Crawdad Mike and his driver to take them to jail. But also, Cyrus T. Buford and Taylor had shown up shortly after.
"So why were you going into that Supernatural shop, Lorelei?" Daphne asked
"I was getting a talisman to keep the evil spirits away. And a ghastly mask for Scooby's costume." Lorelei answered
"And Taylor, if you weren't playing ghost, why were you sneaking around with that Confederate Soldier uniform?" Blake asked
"It was an old family heirloom. I had to sell it to help pay the bills. I snuck out at night cause I didn't want Lorelei to know." Taylor explained
"But I still can't figure out what the heck was going on." Shaggy said
Just then, some fog rolled in and the ghosts appeared on their respective graves, this alone, made Shaggy and Scooby scream.
"They're back!"Shaggy yelled as him and Scooby hid behind a gravestone
"Relax, you two. " Weiss said as the fog dissipated and the ghosts vanished. "You were just watching a hologram projected from a tree top." she added
"It's set off by pressure on this rock" Velma said as she stood up off of the rock in question
"I get it. So each time the bus pulled off the road, the driver put some dry ice into some water to create fog as a perfect background mist for the ghost projections." Yang said
"Exactly." Velma said
"Dry ice fog leaves a sticky residue. That''s the gunk I found on my shoe." Daphne stated
"Crawdad Mike had a smooth operation going." Weiss stated
"Frightening the tourists with his ghosts and making a busload of Lien." Velma added
"He got worried when we came close to exposing him, so that's when him and his driver dressed up as the ghost brothers and kidnapped Daphne and Ruby to scare us away." Blake said
"Sacrebleu! I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for y'all meddling kids." Crawdad Mike shouted as him and his driver were taken off to jail
"I wonder how you say 'meddling kids' in French."Daphne said
Everyone chuckled a bit at what Daphne just said.
Now, people were celebrating at the hotel. twas a Mardi Gras party.
"So how did you two know they weren't The Le;and Brothers?"Fred asked Velma and Weiss
"Notice in the picture that Jed is much taller than Caleb." Weiss stated
"The ghosts that haunted us were exactly the same height." Velma added
Lorelei, Tayor, and Cyrus Buford walked up just as the three turned around.
"I'm sure glad y'all could take it to the just got a great reason to celebrate. We've decided to partner up in an exciting new venture: Lelandlamd!" Lorelei said
"Sure did. And I can finally open my resort hotel and water park that I always dreamed about in my dreams." Cyrus replied
"I'll run the theme restaurant right here in the house." Lorelei added
"And i'll be guiding authentic tours of the Leland Family Cemetery." Taylor added
"Partners. Excellent." Velma said
"Well, we'll look forward to vacationing in Lelandland...land." Fred said
WITH DAPHNE SHAGGY AND SCOOBY
"Did I ever thank you, Scooby, and Yang for saving me and Ruby?" Daphne said
"Like,thank yourself, Daph. We wouldn't have had known you and Ruby were there if you hadn't wailed so loud for help." Shaggy responded
"But...I didn't call for hep. Neither did Ruby. We were gagged, remember? We barely could make a sound." Daphne said
Just then, another wail went off. Shaggy and Scooby screamed.
After a few seconds, Scooby looked around just before another wail stated.
"Scooby-Dooby-DOOOOO!"Scooby said as the wail was heard
