Infection Nightmare.

Jill was in a frightening situation, not because of a monster, but because her mother was missing. Jill remembered when they tried to escape the city, that monster suddenly showed up and killed all of the civilians before attacking them. Nicholai took advantage of the distraction to lock them inside before fleeing, showing his treacherous nature. The brave leader of the mercs then sacrificed himself by blowing up a block of C4, derailing the train in a attempt to kill monster and save them. Soon after, when Jill woke up, she escaped the wreckage and contacted Carlos to warn him about the evacuation failure and Nicholai's betrayal. But now she was more worried about her mother. When she woke up she noticed Quiet was nowhere to be seen. But she could hear the sounds of Nemesis roaring in the distance.

Fearing the worst, Jill hurried to make her way over there. Only stopping once to gear up with some weapons, including a grenade launcher. But due to all the destruction, she was constantly forced to look for other paths. When she got closer she heard one more roar, and after that... there was silence. Jill began running as fast as she could. And when she finally reached the area where all the commotion happened. It looked like a bomb had been dropped on it. Jill looked around until she saw something... or rather, someone. Which made her heart feel like it stopped. She saw her mother lying on the ground... and she wasn't moving.

"No..." She said before running over and dropped down on her knees and lifted her mother's body in to her arms "Come on! Wake up! Wake up! Mom... MOM!".

Quiet coughed a little but didn't wake up. Jill looked her over and saw something... a wound on Quiet's shoulder... and judging by how it looked, it was clear Quiet had been infected. This was not good, if nothing was done about it, Quiet would turn in to one of those monsters.

"No... H-Hold on mom. I will help you" Jill said before she contacted her ally "Carlos, you there?".

"I'm here Jill, what's happening?" Carlos asked.

"Nothing good... Mo-, Tixij has been infected" Jill said.

"What? Fuck, no" Carlos said.

"I will bring her to a hospital. But the nearest one is Spencer Memorial Hospital" Jill said.

"Understood, I'll be there as soon as I can. But it will take a while. You will have to hold on until then" Carlos said.

"Understood. Please hurry" Jill said before putting her radio away "Just hang on, mom. I will save you, I promise".

She lifts Quiet on to her back and began carrying towards Spencer Memorial Hospital. It was founded and designed by the Spencer Foundation, one of the Umbrella Corporation's core benefactors. Along with featuring facilities and state-of-the-art accommodations for the acceptance and treatment of incoming traffic of patients-in-need, the hospital boasts the United States' largest research wing in the country, to help clinically test and oversee the effectiveness of new drugs and medicine in the world of medical science and human physiology. But given everything that's happened, there is no telling what Umbrella was really using the hospital for. But Jill didn't have much of a choice. Trying to bring Quiet to a different hospital would take to long and the trip would be far more dangerous.

When she finally arrived, she entered the hospital. As expected, there wasn't a single living soul to be seen. But Jill didn't have time to think about that at the moment as she entered one of the rooms and put Quiet down on a hospital bed. She hurried to close the door before she began searching the room for anything that could be useful.

"Come on, there has to be something I can use... Ugh what am I doing!? If there was a cure, then maybe this whole infection wouldn't have happened. But what do I do!?" Jill asked in frustration before she was contacted by Carlos and answered "What is it!?".

"Wow! Calm down Jill. I contacted you because I remembered something" Carlos said.

"What?" Jill demanded.

"You said you went to Spencer Memorial Hospital right? That's where Dr. Bard should be. He told me he was the only one who knew how to make an vaccine. If you find him, he will be your best chance of saving Tixij" Carlos explained.

A glimmer of hope crept in to Jill's voice "You are a god sent, Carlos. Thank you".

"Thank me once I get there. Don't die until then" Carlos said.

"Right" Jill said before ending the call "Just hang in there a little longer mom. I will get you the Vaccine".

Before she could leave, she heard a voice "Jill...".

She stopped and looked back "Mom?".

"Jill..." Quiet said weakly, her eyes barely open.

Jill hurried back to her "Don't talk mom, I know how to help you. All you need to do is rest until then".

"Jill... my beautiful child... I'm... sorry... I am so sorry" Quiet said with tears in her eyes.

"It's ok mom, I forgive you. Just don't die, ok?" Jill pleaded.

"It was you... it was always you... I only continued living... because of you... my beautiful light, in my dark life" Quiet said weakly.

"Thank you mom. I expect you to keep living for me, ok?" Jill said as she took Quiet's hand.

"I love you... so much... my daughter... my wonderful daughter..." Quiet said as she began to drift away.

"I love you too mom. Just rest and I will be back. We still have a lot of catching up to do" Jill said before kissing her mother's cheek and headed out. She had to be quick. She can't loose her mother now that she finally has her back in her life.

But after Quiet feel asleep. She began having a nightmare. In the nightmare, she found herself inside a room. It was a bed room... a normal bed room. And she was laying on a nice comfy bed. Confused she got up and walked out of the room. She was in a house, a nice and peaceful house at that. She looked around the house for a bit, and everything looked disturbingly normal. But as she continued looking around, she could hear voices... voices of people calling her all sorts of things. Weapon, murderer, monster, traitor, experiment. All sorts of things. But then Quiet entered another room and saw something... or rather someone.

"Jill?" She spoke silently. She saw Jill... but she looked a lot younger. No older than 10. And she was sleeping in her own little bed. Quiet didn't know what was going on, but made her way over to her daughter.

Jill woke up before yawning. She then sat up and smiled at Quiet "Good morning mom... why are you only in your underwear?".

Quiet was indeed only wearing her underwear, similar to the very revealing outfit she used to wear back when she could only breath through her skin. But she didn't care about that right now. She only cared about what was happening right now.

"Mom? Are you alright?" Jill asked, sounding worried.

"I was... you were... I..." Quiet could barely speak.

"Did you have that nightmare where you were some killer who was never in my life again? Where you failed as a mother?" Jill asked.

"Nightmare? It was..." Quiet trailed of.

Jill jumped out of bed before running up to Quiet and hugged her around her waist "Just like you told me when I had a nightmare: It was only a bad dream. Mom, you are here and you are a great mother. I love you".

Quiet felt tears in her eyes before falling on to her knees and hugged Jill hard "Jill... my beautiful child... I love you so much!".

Jill hugged her back "I love you too mom".

Quiet held her close, refusing to let go. A nightmare... yes, it was just a nightmare. She was here, with her child, and everything was ok... everything was fine... but then suddenly, Jill grew silent.

"Jill?" Quiet said as she pulled back and gasped in horror when she saw the color draining from Jill's face, and life leaving her eyes "JILL! No! NO! JILL!".

Suddenly Jill growled and bit down on Quiet's arms, causing it to bleed and forcing Quiet to let go. She backed out of the room as Jill walked towards her. Jill then moved at inhuman speed and tossed Quiet through a window. She landed on her back outside and could barely move. Suddenly... she saw someone look down at her... It was Skull Face.

"You were such a disappointment. But no worries. Your daughter will make a fine replacement" He said coldly. Quiet looked at him for a moment before looking back at Jill and her eyes grew wide. Jill was now an adult, and she was wearing an assassin uniform and her eyes were blood red. She was also standing with several enemy soldiers... and the Tyrant that Ahab fought was standing behind her. Like and obedient dog.

Skull Face walked up next to her "Time for your final test, Jill. Kill your mother".

"She is not my mother" Jill said darkly.

Quiet got back up as Jill walked towards her "Jill, please don't let them-".

Jill kicked her in the chest, sending her flying in to a car "Don't let them what? Don't let them control me? Like you care! You never cared! You were never there for me".

"I was trying to protect you..." Quiet said but Jill grabbed her by the neck.

"You left me alone with no one that could protect me. What did you think was going to happen?" Jill asked as she began squeezing Quiet's throat.

Quiet could actually feel like she was being chocked to death. With no other choice she kicked Jill back. Jill growls and pulls out a knife. Quiet dodged a few swings before stopping a stab by blocking Jill's arm. They entered a brief struggle before Jill headbutts Quiet in the face and tried to stab her again. Reacting on instincts, Quiet grabbed Jill's arm, twisting the knife out of her hand before catching in and stabbed it in to Jill's chest. Only then did Quiet realize what she had done as Jill fell to the ground... dead.

"No..." Quiet said.

Skull Face smiled "Well done. Your loyalty to us is stronger than your loyalty to your own child".

"No... No... NOOOO!" Quiet screamed.

"Mom... MOM!".

Back in the real world, Jill was struggling to hold her mother still. She had been forced to run back when she heard Quiet screaming. She was worried that some monster was attacking her, but when she got back, she only saw that Quiet has somehow suffered several injuries, including a bite wound on her arm. But no monsters were around, so how was this possible. It took several minutes before Jill succeeded in calming her mother down. But it had been made clear she couldn't risk leaving Quiet alone. But if she didn't she couldn't search for the Vaccine. This was frustrating, but it was now clear she couldn't do this alone. She needed help.

"Carlos... please... I need your help... hurry..." Jill silently begged as she began treating Quiet's wounds.

This nightmare just keeps on getting worse. Quiet was infected, Jill didn't have time to find the vaccine without risking her mother's safety, and Nemesis is still out there somewhere... When this is over, Umbrella was going to pay for everything. That's a promise.

Wanted to try something a little different. The nightmare scene was inspired by one of the Resident Evil Manhuas (Chinese version of Mangas), and in that version of Resident Evil, after Jill was infected, she was trapped in a nightmare where she was forced to re-live the horrors she went through during the Mansion incident. So wanted to try something similar and show how the infection effected Quiet.

Tell me what you think.
