Sorry for the wait, I had to finish season 2 of my Korra story. Now before we start in this chapter we'll have a Z-Move, and I might mess up the dance, so sorry in advance. And a reminder in this story when they sing, it will be in Bold. Plus until we learn Kipo's Dad's name in the show I'll be calling him Kipo's Dad until then. Now onto adventure 4.
Adventure 4
Cactus And Brick Town
The Past
In the cavern, Kipo was in her home, reading a book, while her Dad cooked food for them. "Dad, did you know the Milky Way is the reason we have the word galaxy? The ancient Greeks looked up, they saw a milky thing in the sky, and they called it galactos." Kipo said to her Dad, making him laugh. "I did. I wrote that book." Kipo's Dad said to Kipo. "Oh. Eh, it's all right." Kipo said to her Dad. "Well, the blurb on the back calls it, "brilliant and insightful"." Kipo's Dad said to Kipo.
Kipo turned the book to see it was a picture of her dad. "So, heyo!" Kipo's Dad said to Kipo. Then Kipo looked up to a drawing of stars and constellations on the ceiling. "Don't you ever get sad that we'll never get to see all that?" Kipo asked her Dad, with a sad tune in her voice. This made Kipo's Dad stop cooking and walked to her. "Hey, you know what I used to do to cheer up your mom?" Kipo's Dad asked Kipo, as he pulled out a bracelet with a metal part, and picked up a guitar. This made Kipo laugh a little.
"Yes, Dad. You've played me that song a million times. It worked for me when I was six." Kipo said to her Dad. "We may not have sunshine. Or starlight or weather. But we've got each other." Kipo's Dad sang using the bracelet as a guitar pick. "And that's even better." Kipo sang before grabbing another guitar and started to play. "You don't need the sun to keep you warm. When you've got arms." Kipo's Dad sang to Kipo, before pulling her into a hug. "Wishes come from you and not. A random shooting star." Kipo sang, after breaking the hug, and playing her guitar.
"We may not have storm clouds. But the sky's always blue." Kipo and her Dad sang together. "We've got something special here. And what we have is you. What we have is you. What we have is you." Kipo's Dad sang, before the two started to play randomly and wildly, laughing and having a good time. "OK, I guess it still works when I'm 12. Thanks Dad." Kipo said to her Dad. Kipo's Dad then got up and kissed her on the cheek before going back to the food. After a bit, the food was done, and they were eating it on a bar with four chairs. "Pass the sauce?" Kipo asked her dad. Kipo's Dad then passed the bottle.
Outskirts Las Vistas
Back in the present, Kipo was on Pierre, with Kalena next to her on the ground, when a Timbercat passed an axe to Kipo and Kalena. "Yeah! That's what I'm talking about." Kipo said to Kalena, spinning her axe. "Less talking, more chopping." Kalena said to Kipo, before the two of them swing their axes into a nearby bush, clearing the path.
Kipo then turned to the rest of their group, who had regained consciousness and watched her and Kalena. "You guys want a turn? You have to try it. Riding by flea is my new favorite way to travel!" Kipo asked everyone. "I'm good." Wolf said to Kipo. "Okay. More flea for me!" Kipo said to Wolf. "You mean us. Let's ride Kipo!" Kalena said, as she hopped onto Pierre's back, right behind Kipo. "Poipole." Virgo said, as she flew and grabbed onto Kipo's right shoulder. Once they were on Pierre jumped into the air. "Let's go! Whoo!" Kipo said to everyone, as they enjoyed riding Pierre.
Cactus Town
After a bit, the gang, and the army of Timbercats made it to a ruined town, with Cactus growing out of the buildings, Light Crystals that were glowing grey, not green, and large grey stone squares made out of grey blocks scattered around the town. But Benson, Aqua, Dave, and their Pokemon were looking at the footprint of the thing they're tracking. "You see the size of that footprint? We're walking towards whatever made it." Benson said to everyone. "Do you remember voting on this plan? Because I don't." Dave said to everyone. "No, we're doing this for Kipo, and because Kalena and Wolf won't let us run away." Aqua said to Dave, as they walked to the others.
Back with the girl, their Pokemon, the Timbercats, and the Kartanas, Yumyan was giving them a motivational speech. "Soon we will find the Mega Beast, crush it, and take back our sacred tree." Yumyan said to everyone. "Sacred Tree!" The Timebercats cheered, holding their axes in the air. "But first… we give Pierre a drink." Yumyan said to everyone, before chopping off an arm of the cactus, lettin the liquid inside it pour out. Pierre started to drink from the cactus. "Who's my good little parasite? Who is it? That's right, it's you." Yumyan said to Pierre. "Timbercats, Blades assemble! As you know, we are a proud litter of felines. We never lose! Who fought an army of Mega mice…" Yumyan said to the Timbercats, while Wolf led Kipo and Kalena out of the crowd and to the side.
"We're almost in Cactus Town. That's umlaut snake territory. You only make noise in there if you have a death wish." Wolf said to Kipo and Kalena. "So you stay here." Wolf said to Kalena. "What! Why?" Kalena asked Wolf. "Cause you make noise with every step you take." Wolf said to Kalena. "That's what my scales are supposed to do. Besides, I'm not as loud as them." Kalena said to Wolf, as she pointed to the Timbercats and Kartanas
"Timbercats!" Yumyan said, making the other Timbercats and Kartanas cheer. "Kipo, our best bet is to ditch the cats and Kalena, and sneak up on the Mega Beast while it's asleep." Wolf said to Kipo. "You know I'm staind right next to you." Kalena said to Wolf. "I know." Wolf said to Kalena, making Kalena frown at Wolf. "Kipo, remember rule number 32 of the surface:-." Wolf said, but Kipo interrupted her. "I know, I know. Stealth is your friend." Kipo said to Wolf.
"I still hate the rule." Kalena said to Wolf. "Which is why, I would like to add a rule 33: Friends are your friends, and the more you have, the safer you are." Kipo said to Wolf, before turning her head to see a leather motorcycle jacket and gasped. "That jacket is all spiky. Do you think it would make me look more intimidating to the Mega Mute?" Kipo asked Wolf and Kalena. "No." Wolf said to Kipo. "But I need something that says… Hey, you! Give me back my dad." Kipo said to Wolf and Kalena.
This made Kalena laugh a little. "Well I don't know about the tuff guy act, but I do admit, I think you'll look good in leather." Kalena said to Kipo. "Kipo do you really think you can just talk to a Mega Mute? They can't think. They're mindless giants." Wolf said to Kipo, as Benson, Dave, Aqua, and their Pokemon joined the girls. "You never know until you try. Besides, it's the only lead I have." Kipo said to everyone, before walking away.
"There weren't any human footprints leading out of my burrow. So, either that Mega Mute took them, or a city full of humans just disappeared into thin air." Kipo said to everyone, while looking at the two. "Or it ate them." Benson said to Kipo, before Aqua elbowed him in the chest, hard. "We're all for finding the Mega Mute. Just didn't wanna do it with the world's largest dinner bell." Wolf said to Kipo, as she walked to Kipo's side and pointed to the Timbercats. "Onward! Yumyan owns you all!" Yumyan said, as he got onto Pierre and claing to axes together. This made the Timbercats and Kartanas cheer.
Then everyone started to move through the town. As they walked through the two, they noticed the skull on some of the cactus, and had the feeling something was watching them. "Hang on a second. Remember when Wolf said we're all in with helping Kipo find the Mega Mute? Are we though?" Benson asked Aqua and Dave. "I thought you'd never ask. I'm having major reservations. Don't get me wrong, I like Kipo." Dave said to Benson. "I mean, who doesn't? And we want her to find her family, but-" Benson said to Dave, but Dave interpreted him.
"But do we like Kipo as much as we like living?" Dave asked Benson. "You pose an excellent question, my friend. We can just turn around right now and no one would know." Benson said to Dave. "But before you do that, let me ask you both a question. How long will it take before Wolf and/or Kalena track you down and tear you apart?" Aqua asked Benson and Dave. "You have a poooooint!" Benson said to Aqua, before tripping on something.
And that something was the shaded skins of a very large snake. This made Benson crawl back a bit. "Cool the shaded skin of an adolescent Umlaut Snake." Aqua said as she touched and bangs on the skin. "Huh? Harder than it looks. Must be fresh. I need a rock to test how hard it is. Dave can you get me a rock?" Aqua asked Dave. "Anything to stop that creep face from looking at me." Dave said to Aqua, before running to one of the square brick things. Dave tried to get one of the bricks out of it, but was having a hard time.
"Why won't you come out!" Dave said as he tried to bite it out. But then the block he was biting on moved into the square brick thing. "Huh?" Dave asked as he looked at the spot the block once was. That's when he was met with a black brick with what looked like a blue eye on it popping out of the brick thing. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Dave screamed very loudly.
And with that scream the sound of rattling and rumbling could be heard in the town. "What's that?" Kalena asked. "No idea what the rumbling is, but I know that rattle anywhere. Umlaut Snakes." Yumyan said to Kalena, before jumping off Pierre. "Axes and Blades on guard!" Yumyan said to the Timbercats and the Kartanas got on guard.
Then Snakes of multi colors started to slither to them. And the square brick thing started to stand up, on four legs that looked like unstable bricks with each brick having that black, blue eye on one side, then a few of the bricks in the things started to go in and flip side for a second before flipping back.
"Oh now I get it. Those bricks are Stakatakas." Kalena said to everyone. "A what?" Benson asked Kalena, "Stakataka is the Rampart Pokemon and is a Rock / Steel Type. It appeared from an Ultra Wormhole. Each one appears to be made up of many life-forms stacked one on top of each other." Kalena said to Benson. "So those things are a collection of living bricks?" Kipo asked Kalena. "Pretty much." Kalena said to Kipo, as a large black snake, with a yellow belly, teal diamond on its back, a single fang, and a four star guitar came out of one of the Stakatakas.
The snake then played it's guitar with its tongue and tip of its tail. "Yumyan Hammerpaw." The snake said to Yumyan, with a female voice. Yumyan then played his guitar-axe. "Cotton." Yumyan said to the snake. "I don't know what I find stanger, a guitar playing snake or that her name is Cotton." Kalena said, as Yumyan and Cotton stared at each other.
"You have a lot of nerve walking into our territory on your two feet, and making all that noise and waking us up. It's daylight, man! I mean sure the Rocks keep a lot of the sound out. But not if you're screaming!" Cotton said to Yumyan, as Aqua gave Dave a mean look. "I was dreamin' about toast." Another female snake, with a yellow belly, an orange line after that, and a green back, said to Yumyan, before the Timbercats meowed, the Kartanas clang their swords together, the Umlaut Snakes hissing, and the Stakatakas stomping.
"This is what I was telling you about stealth." Wolf said to Kipo. "Ah Wolf." Kalena said to Wolf, as she pointed forward. Wolf followed Kalena's arm to see Kipo making her way through the Timbercats. "Excuse me, uh, excuse me. Pardon me, coming through." Kipo said to the Timbercats, as she made her way through the Timbercats. "Kipo!" Wolf said, as she grunted. "We need a leash for her." Kalena said to Wolf.
Meanwhile Kipo made it out of the crowd, and in the middle of the two animal/ Ultra beast groups. "Wow! Uh, nice hiss-off." Kipo said to everyone, making Wolf and Kalena slap their hands into their faces. "Listen, maybe you could let us pass through your territory just this one time." Kipo asked Cotton. Cotton hissed at Kipo, and got into Kipo's face, making Kipo lean back a little. "We'll actually be very quiet from now on." Kipo said to Cotton, before falling onto the ground, laying on her back.
"Now you're keeping humans and fleas? You cats truly are disgusting." Cotton said to Yumyan, making him mad. "Ladies…" Cotton said, while looking at a nervous Kipo. "Let's eat this buffet!" Cotton said to the Umlaut Snakes, before she tried to eat Kipo.
But then Kommo-o popped out of her Pokeball, and appeared right above Kipo, and grabbed Cotton by the neck. "Kommo-o!" Kommo-o roared, before throwing Cotton back towards the Umlaut Snakes, starting a fight. By that time, Wolf and Kalena pulled Kipo back, while the Timbercats and Kartanas started to fight the Umlaut Snakes and the Stakataka. During the fight, Kipo, Kalena, and Wolf were back to back, and Wolf used her stick and foot to block an Umlaut Snake mouth.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Wolf asked Kipo. "No. Who does that?" Kipo asked Wolf, as Wolf raped the tongue around her stick and spun it around, and Wolf let go of the round, the Umlaut snake was sent flying, while spinning. "Stick with the group!" Wolf said as she forced Kipo to the ground, doging another Umlaut Snake. That's when Benson and Dave walked to them, while wearing some of the shedded skin, laying around.
"Hey, hey! I'm a… I'm a snake, too." Benson said to the Umlaut Snake that was next to Cotton. "I am not really a snake." Benson said to Kipo and Wolf. Then Aqua slammed a piece of wood into the Umlaut Snake's head, but the wood broke, and it made the Umlaut Snake look at Aqua. "That didn't work as planned." Aqua said to everyone. "Die, death noodle!" Molly said, as she came out of nowhere and tackled the Umlaut Snake. "Whoa!" The Umlaut Snake said as Molly attacked him.
While the fight was going on Mandu looked around for a way out. And she did. "Exit, three o'clock!" Wolf said to everyone. "Kalena let's go." Kipo said to Kalena, as she looked behind herself to see a blinking outline of Kalena. "Wait! Where's Kalena?" Kipo asked everyone, before an Umlaut Snake was slammed into the ground in front of them. They looked behind the Umlaut Snake, to see Kalena holding the end of it.
"Now this is my kind of fun. Kommo-o let's play ball with Iron Tail." Kalena said to Kommo-o, as she started to spin, with the Umlaut Snake still in her hands. Then after a few seconds of spinning, she let go of the Umlaut Snake, and sent it flying to Kommo-o. "Kommo-o." Kommo-o said as her tail turned silver, before slamming it into the Umlaut Snake, sending it flying quite a ways. "Yes. Home run. Who's next." Kalena said to the Umlaut snakes, before Kipo started to pull on her ear and took her away from the fighting.
Ow, ow, ow, let go of my ear." Kalena said to Kipo, as she pulled her down an alley with Wolf in front of her, Aqua behind Kalena, Benson behind Aqua, the Pokemon behind Benson, and Dave last. But then the Umlaut Snake that was with Cotton, came up and bit Dave's right leg. Luckily Benson and Aqua were able to save Dave before it could become the Umlaut's snake's meal, but Dave did lose his right leg. "Come on!" The Umlaut Snake said, before Virgo fired a pink beam with multiple shapes in it at the Umlaut Snake head, confusing her.
"Nice work with the Signal Beam Virgo." Kalena said to Virgo. "It would've been nice five seconds earlier. This'll take a whole day to grow back." Dave said to everyone. "Just keep limping." Aqua said to Dave.
"Is it me, or were we not totally clear with them? This is Umlaut and Rock territory." Cotton said to the other Umlaut Snake, as she shook off the confusion. "A snake's job is never done." The Umlaut Snake said to Cotton.
Back with the gang, as they ran, they ran into a Stakataka. "Star use Sacred Sword." Wolf said to Star, before she threw him. "Kartana." Star said as his blades became long curved silver blades, and became a silver disc. "Wolf, wait!" Kalena said to Wolf, but it was too late, the Stakataka moved parts of it's bricks and made a hole in it, making Star go right thru it. "Stakataka can dodge attacks by moving it's bricks." Kalena said to Wolf.
"Then let's try this." Wolf said before she jumped into the air, and spun her stick around. "Wolf, I wouldn't do that." Kalena said to Wolf, but it was too late again. Wolf slammed the base of the stick into the Stakataka, making a clunking sound, and making Wolf shake. Before the Stakataka could slam a leg into Wolf, Kalena pulled her back. "Maybe you let me finish talking before you attack." Kalena said to Wolf.
"Stakatakas are known for being strong in Defence, and despite moving very little, they can move their bricks to dodge attacks. Plus the Steel type in them, making the poison from Virgo, Cloak, and Stalky is worth less, and Grooves electricity won't do much either." Kalena said to everyone. "What do you mean by poison is worthless on Steel?" Aqua asked Kalena. "It's part of the type cart. I'll tell you later. First let's get past this Stakataka." Kalena said to everyone.
Then Stakataka flipped over a few bricks and started to shoot small rocks randomly out of the blue eyes. "What is this?" Dave asked Kalena as they all dodged the rocks, like they were dancing. "It's Rock Blast. Kommo-o use Sky Uppercut." Kalena said to Dave and Kommo-o. "Kommo-o." Kommo-o said as she made her way through everyone, and used her left arm to cover her face from the incoming rocks.
Then as she got close to the Stakataka, she was going to punch it with her right arm. The Stakataka opened a hole in it's bricks and dodged the punch. But then Kommo-o's right arm went up and hooked into the Stakataka. Kommo-o then slammed her left foot behind her and turned, throwing the Stakataka behind the group. "Run!" Wolf said to everyone, as they started to move.
After a bit they stopped in a clearing, and regrouped. In that clearing, Benson broke off a needle of a cactus, and stabbed it pointy side into that spot where Dave was missing his right leg, making Dave groan in pain. "Good as new." Benson said to Dave. "Oh, yeah. This is… This is wonderful." Dave said to Benson, as he walked in pain. "Maybe you should have done it, pointy side down?" Aqua asked Benson. "No, it's fine. It doesn't hurt more and more with each step. OK, now." Dave said to Aqua, making Kipo cringe. "Really?" Aqua asked Dave.
"You'll be all better by tomorrow. Right?" Kipo asked Dave, cringing a little. "Yep, I'll be just fine, OK." Dave said to Kipo. "We should've left when we had the chance." Dave whispered to Benson, in pain, as he, Benson, and Aqua, as they walked a bit from the girls. "I'm looking for that chance right now." Benson said to Dave.
"You see what happens when you go rogue?" Wolf asked Kalena and Kipo. "I was just joining that fight." Kalena said to Wolf. "I don't care. From now on, until Kipo's back home with her people, we do things my way… all the time." Wolf said to Kalena and Wolf. "Sure, your way sounds like a lot of fun." Kalena said, with a sarcastic tune in her voice. "But what about-." Kipo asked Wolf. "Nope." Wolf said, interrupting Kipo. "The cats?" Kipo asked Wolf. "Nope!" Wolf said to Kipo. "OK." Kipo said to Wolf.
Then something ran past them from one of the ruined buildings. Not that they noticed, but Kalena and Wolf noticed it. That's when a gerbil the size of them, wearing some rock clothes appeared in front of them. "Snakes!" The gerbil yelled for a few seconds, in a high pitch voice like an alarm. Then the gerbil left. And Kipo clapped. "No, snake. He said "snake." we're being followed." Wolf said to Kipo, as the gerbil came back. "Yeah, I'm gonna run. You should probably run, too. Did you see our skulls?" The gerbil said to everyone, before leaving again.
"We need to go in there." Wolf said, pointing to a building. "I'll take 'em out. You guys hide." Wolf said to everyone. "Why do you get to have all the fun?" Kalena asked Wolf. "Or… suggestion, we just talk to them?" Kipo asked Wolf and Kalena. "No, Kipo. we will not talk to the snakes. You will hide from them. And for once, you will stay put" Wolf said to Kipo. "And you tried talking and almost being eaten?" Kalena said to Kipo, making her sigh. "OK." Kipo said, as went into the building which was a run down bar with a stage.
A few seconds later, Cotton, that second Umlaut Snake, now with a red wooden guitar, and a Stakataka came up to the building. Cotton then played a bit. "Eh… that sounds off." Cotton said to the Umlaut Snake. "Maybe it should go…" The Umlaut Snake said, before playing her guitar a little. "Oh, yeah. That's good hunting music." Cotton said, before they entered the building, with Stakatak watching through the windows outside. "No, still not there." Cotton said to the Umlaut Snake.
"Well, I always like a good, you know, F Major followed by D minor." The Umlaut Snake said to Cotton. "D Minor? Maybe if you're playing hillbilly cat music." Cotton said to the Umlaut Snake. Then Wolf came down on top of the Umlaut Snakes from the ceiling, screaming and sticking the tip of her stick into the Umlaut Snakes, and landed on the ground with a cocky look on her face. But the Umlaut Snake were unfazed by this, and had a are you kidding me look.
"Oh, honey. You know how much venom I've got coursing through my veins?" Cotton asked Wolf. Then Wolf dropped her stick and grabbed a chair, and charged at the Umlaut Snakes. Wolf then smashed the charge onto Cotton's head. But again it did nothing. "Tingly." The Umlaut Snake said. As Wolf tried another chair on her. "I haven't felt this good since my 21st shedding." The Umlaut Snake said, like nothing happened. "Star use Leaf Blade." Wolf said to Star, as she grabbed him from his hiding place, the underside of a table and threw him.
"Kartana." Star said, as his blades turned green and started to spin, becoming a green dics. "Stakataka." The Stakatak outside said, flipping a few of it's bricks and firing rocks at Star. one of the rocks hit Star on the edge and made him spin off course, and threw a wall. This made Wolf mad, and started to wildly fight the Umlaut Snakes.
Back behind a bar, Kalena was keeping Kipo from leaving their hiding spot. "I don't like hiding either, but we, mostly you, need to stay here." Kalena said to Kipo. "I know. Wolf said to stay put no matter what happens, but-" Kipo said to Kalena, before Wolf went crashing into the bar next to them. "OK, fun's over." The Umlaut Snake, before grabbing Wolf, and pulling towards her. "I think she'll understand. Let's go." Kalena said, as they started to leave their hiding spot.
When they came in fight of the Umlaut Snakes, they saw the other one was about to eat a Wolf. "Hey! Hey, Cotton. Cotton's… friend." Kipo said to the Umlaut Snake, making Wolf mad. "I really like the song you walked in with. Uh, but what if it went more like this?" Kipo said, as she took off Cotton's guitar, making the Umlaut Snakes mad and hissed at her. Kalena gowled in returend.
Then quickly and panicky played Cotton's guitar. This made the Umlaut Snake tosses Wolf, and made her and Cotton circle Kipo. This made Kommo-o and Virgo jump out from they're hindi spot, which was backstage, and made them help Kalena form a protective line around Kipo, as she kept playing the guitar.
Meanwhile Dave, Benson, and Aqua poked their head from behind the ruined drum set on the stange, to see what's going on. "Whoa, she's on to something." Benson said to everyone. "She just needs a… a little… a little help. Maybe we'll help her this one last time, and then we'll leave." Dave said to everyone. "Like we can, but let's do it." Aqua said to everyone. "Yeah. Yeah, one more time for old time's sake. Sorry." Benson said to everyone, and Dave before pulling off Dave's antenna, making Dave scream loud enough to get the attention of the Umlaut Snakes.
Then Benson started to play the ruined drums. Aqua picked up a dusty tambourine and played it. Benson scream was being mistaken for a heavy metal song. Groove started to let out electricity making a beat. And Cloak joined Dave on vocals. "What?" Cotton asked, as Kipo, Kalena, Kommo-o and Virgo sneaked to Benson, Aqua, Dave, Groove, and Cloak. Once their Kommo-o and Kalena started to dance, sounding like symbols. And Virgo joined Cloak and Dave on vocals.
This all made them sound like a real rock band, and made the Umlaut Snakes happy. It was at this point, Mandu woke Wolf up, and Star came through the door. Once Wolf was up, she noticed everything, and was confused, before getting angry. They were at this for a bit, until they stopped. But Dave wasn't done. So Aqua kicked him off the sage, as Bendon dropped Dave's antenna like a microphone.
"That's it. That's the riff I was looking for!" Cotton said. "I can't believe we were gonna eat you. You have the hands of an angel." The Umlaut Snake said to Kipo. "So, we can be on our way? You don't mind if we cross through your territory?" Kipo asked Cotton, giving back her guitar. "Not when you shed like that. You can come through here any time." Cotton said to Kipo.
"I cannot believe that worked." Kipo said to Kalena and Wolf, as Wolf walked to them. "It shouldn't have. You got lucky." Wolf said to Kipo. "You're just mad Kipo's idea work, and you're idea didn't." Kalena said to Wolf. "Yeah. Give me some credit. We're all alive." Kipo said to Wolf. "For now. But, eventually, your crazy ideas are gonna get us all killed!" Wolf said to Kipo, locking horns with her. "Or maybe they would've gotten us to my dad sooner if you listen to me for once." Kipo said to Wolf, locking her horns with Wolf.
"That's enough. Save it for the Mega Mute." Kalena said to Kipo and Wolf, unlocking Kipo and Wolf's horns, and pushed them a little bit away from each other. "OK, Kipo. Tell Kalena what is your big plan again? Or should I. Have your cat army pin the Mega Mute down. So you could say, "Give me back my dad!" Let's do that and see what happens." Wolf said to Kipo. "Fine!" Kipo said to Wolf. "Fine!" Wolf said to Kipo.
"Hey, bandmates! Would you happen to know where we can find a Mega Mute? You may have seen it. Six arms, destroys homes and burrows for fun?" Kipo asked the Umlaut Snakes. "Yeah, we've seen it. Wrecked our tour bus. I mean, we already trashed it, but still." Cotton said to Kipo. "Would you take us to it? I have some questions I need to ask." Kipo asked Cotton. "You wanna ask that thing questions?" Cotton asked Kipo. "It's what she does." Kalena said to Cotton. "OK, sure." Cotton said to Kipo, before Kipo stuck out her tongue at Wolf.
Then Kipo left with Virgo. "I think our new guitar player is a bit insane." Cotton said to the Umlaut Snake. "Maybe a little bit." Kalena said to Cotton. "The best ones usually are." The Umlaut Snake said to Kalena. "Can't argue with that, huuu?" Kalena asked the Umlaut Snake. "Camille." The Umlaut Snake said to Kalena. "Can't argue with that Camille." Kalena said to Camille, before they all left the building.
As the walk Benson talked to Aqua and Dave. "Dave, Aqua, I've thought about it. Rocking out with the Umlaut Snakes was a trip and a story I wanna tell over and over. But I cannot do that if we get eaten by a Mega Mute. so, we should just tell Kipo we're gonna leave, and then leave." Benson said to them, as Dave broke off two more spikes from a cactus and put them in his head, where his antenna once were. "You're right. We just need to find the right time." Dave said to Benson. "There's never a right time! You just gotta pull the band-aid off!" Benson said to Dave, as he walked to the girls. "He makes it sound easy." Aqua said to Dave.
"Hey, Kipo, so, you know, like, band-aids, uh, they're hard to rip off." Benson said to Kipo, after he reached the girls. Then Kipo and Wolf growled at Benson, making him nervously chuckle. "Ignore them. They're still mad at each other." Kalena said to Benson. "Yeah, let's, uh, yea, let's keep that band-aid on a little bit longer." Benson said to Kalena, as he walked back to the others.
Then Cotton, Camille, and the Stakataka stopped, making everyone else stop. "Whoa, hold on." Camille said, as Cotton placed her head on the ground. "The bus wreaker's asleep." Cotton said to everyone. "It's just in that grove. Not even we're crazy enough to go in there." Camille said, as everyone saw a large grove of cactus, that looked like a mountain, with a large hole in it.
"Thank you." Kipo said to the Umlaut Snakes, they and the Stakataka started to leave. "Kipo aren't you forgetting something?" Kalena asked Kipo, making Kipo gasp. "The cats! What happened to them? You didn't eat them, did you?" Kipo asked the Umlaut Snakes, as she walked to them. "Not yet. Our bandmates trapped 'em in the Glamyrinth." Cotton said to Kipo. "We're trying them out first. They're easier to eat that way." Camille said to Kipo.
Back with Timbercats they were chasing some snakes, but then four gerbils came running at them. "Run!" Yumyan and Molly yelled to the Timbercats, as they spit up.
Back with the others, Cotton and Camille chuckled at the thoughts of the Timbercats running around. "Cats." The two of them said. "I just have one more favor to ask. Banmate to bandmate. Could you let them out? They're just looking for their scratching tree. Without them, we never would've rocked out together." Kipo said to the Umlaut Snakes. "That session was pretty epic, OK, we'll consider it." Cotton said to Kipo. "Thank you." Kipo said to Cotton, before going back to the others.
"She's really going in there to face the six-armed beast." Cotton said to Camille, as everyone headed for the cactus grove. "So metal." Camille said to Cotton. "What a waste of talent." Cotton said. "Stakataka." Stakataka said shaking its body in a yes way, agreeing with Cotton
With the other, they stood outside of the cactus grove, and could hear the beast snoring. Getting scared by this Dave hit Benson and Aqua in the leg. "Hey, Kipo." Benson said to Kipo. "OK, this is it." Kipo said, ignoring Benson, picking up Mandu and turned to everyone. "I know this is dangerous, but I have to do this. None of you have to come with me." Kipo said to everyone, before petting Mandu and putting her down. Mandu, Wolf, Kalena, Virgo, Kommo-o, and Star moved to Kipo's side, leaving her to face everyone else.
Then they started to walk in, but Kipo stopped after a couple steps and turned to everyone else. Kipo then ran up to them and hugged them all before running back to the girls. "Oh, she's leaving us. That was a lot easier than I thought." Benson said to everyone. "I'm not sure how I feel about this." Dave said to everyone. Aqua then noticed the Timbercats charging in their direction. "I feel like we should move." Aqua said to everyone.
Back with the girl, they walked, they noticed a large lump of brown fur laying in the middle of the grove. "There it is." Wolf said to everyone, as they noticed a large stick behind the Mega Mute, and a ruined hotel behind the stick. "Go ahead and say it. If this thing had my people… I ate them. It's what you're thinking. I know it." Kipo said to Wolf, as she turned away from the Mega Mute, with tears in her eyes. Kalena then hit Wolf in the shoulder. "You don't know what I'm thinking. I'm thinking they could be trapped in that old hotel." Wolf said to Kipo pointing to the hotel.
"Do you really believe that?" Kipo asked Wolf. Wolf said nothing. "Kipo, look at me?" Kalena asked Kipo. Kipo turned to Kalena. "You have a big heart. A heart that shines like the light of the sun, warm and bright, connecting with everyone you meet. Don't let fear or doubt dim that light of yours. No matter what happens. I'll be here for you." Kalena said to Kipo, whipping away her tears. Kipo then hugged Kalena, catching Kalena off guard, but she soon returned the hug. All of this made Wolf feel bad
Meanwhile Mandu found something, and dug a small hole. "What is it Mandu?" Kalena asked Mandu, as she and Kipo broke their hug and ran to Mandu. Then Kipo stuck her hand into hole, and pulled out a metal four leaf clover. "What's that?" Kalena asked Kipo. "This was my dad's. Wolf, you're right! He's gotta be in that hotel!" Kipo said to Wolf. "Dad! Are you in there?" Kipo yelled, but Wolf covered her mouth, before the Mega Mute could hear her. But by doing that Kipo accidentally tossed the metal clover. Then everyone tried to frantically catch it, but the thing was slippery and it was by Wolf's toes that it didn't hit the ground. "Phew. Sorry." Kipo said to everyone.
Then the ground started to rumple. "THERE'S THE MONSTER!" A male voice yelled. Everyone turned their heads to see the Timbercats charging at them, all screaming at the top of their lungs, with Yumyan riding Pirre. This woke up the Mega Mute. making everyone gasp.
The Mega Mute was a giant monkey, the size of a building, with six arms, and orange fur on its face and hands, plus a white beard. The Mega Monkey roared at the Timebrcats. This scared everyone. Everyone but the Timbercats, the Kartanas, Kalena, and Kommo-o. The Timbercats and Kartanas were already in battle. And Kalena and Kommo-o put on some brave faces and move to protect the rest of the group.
Back outside, Benson and everyone with him were walking away, when they heard the echo of the roar. This made them turn to the grove. "Do you think she's OK?" Benson asked everyone. "I don't know." Aqua said to Benon. "I already miss her." Dave said to Benson, as they could hear the battle raging on. "You know what, Dave and Aqua? When we were with KIpo, we were doing something more than just surviving. For the first time ever, we were a part of something bigger than us." Benson said to everyone.
"I think you're reading too much into this. But who cares, let's help Kipo!" Aqua said to Benson. "Same. I'm going back in, man!" Dave said to Benson. "Kipo, we're coming for ya!" Benson said, as they all ran back to the grove.
When they got in there, they saw the Mega Monkey slam a fist into the ground, sending Timbercats flying all over the place, one of them at Benson and Aqua. luckily they were able to jump up and dodged the Timbercat. "All right let's do this! Aqua? Where are you?" Benson said to everyone, as he noticed Aqua missing. "Ah Benson." Dave said to Benson, pointing to some cover, where Aqua and Cloak were hiding. "Aqua what are you doing over there?" Benson asked Aqua.
"I may not have mentioned this, but I have a very old, very bad, fear of monkeys and apes. Even the picture of one of them freaks me out, to the point where I'll wet myself. So I'll stay back here and maybe faint with fear later." Aqua said to Benson. "Is it wired, that I find this funny? That she can boss us around like it was nothing, but the second she sees a Monkey or Ape she freaks out worse than me?" Dave asked Benson, before the Mega Monkey slammed a fist near the guys. "Given what we're facing, I'm freaking out a little too. But let's go." Benson said Dave, before he, Dave, and Groove charged at the Mega Monkey.
Meanwhile Yumyan was leading a group of Timbercats up the stick to get into the Mega Monkey's face, with the other Timbercats attacking from below, and the Kartanas attacking from above. But the Mega Monkey used it's six hands to swat the Timbercats and the Kartanas away, like insects.
That's when Cotton and Camile slithered up to the spot where Kipo and everyone with her, was hiding, pulse with a Stakataka as well. "Cotton, Camile, what are you two doing here?" Kalena asked them. "Those crazy fuzzbuckets came straight here after we let them out." Cotton said to everyone, before they all ducked to dodged a flying Timbercat and a few Kartanas. "We had to come back for the show!" Camile said to everyone.
"Now's our chance. We can go into that hotel. Find your dad." Wolf said to Kipo. "No! We have to help the cats first." Kipo said to Wolf. "Don't worry I have a plan. Kommo-o ready to roar?" Kalena said to Kipo and asked Kommo-o. "Kommo-o." Kommo-o said to Kipo, with a grin on her face. "Then let's do this." Kalena said, as she and Kommo-o got out of hiding.
"Let's do this." Kalena said, as she stood in front of the Mega Monkey, with Kommo-o standing in front of her. Kalena turned the crystal in her Z-Ring and crossed her arms glowing yellow. "Roar Kommo-o!" Kalena said, as she and Kommo-o moved their arms to their sides and crossed them in front of them. "Roar loud!" Kalena said as she and Kommo-o moved their hands into a mouth shape and moved their arms like a large mouth was opening. It was at this point the yellow energy around her went into Kommo-o.
Then the symbol on the Z-ring flashed in front of Kommo-o. Then Kalena and Kommo-o started to shake their scales and flex their muscles as they shake their scales, with Kommo-o's making. "Let your roar be heard for all to hear! GO BLAZING SOULBEAT!" Kalena said to Kommo-o. "KOMMO-O!" Kommo-o said, punching her claws in front of her face. Then Kommo-o opened her mouth, and fired a giant sonic burst of purple energy at the Mega Monkey.
The sonic wave slammed into the Mega Monkey, knocking it off its feet, and making everyone but Kalena cover their ears. After a few seconds of Kommo-o roaring, she stopped. Then the Timbercats cheered, believing they won. But they didn't. The Mega Monkey soon started to get up. And the fight restarted.
Kalena and Kommo-o moved back into cover with the others. "Well that's all I got." Kalena said to everyone. "That was your plan? What even was that?" Wolf asked Kalena. "It was a Z-Move, a super powered attack. And Blazing Soulbeat is a Z-Move only Kommo-o can use. And I thought it would knock it out. It usually sends my opponents flying. So does anyone else have a plan?" Kalena said to Wolf and asked everyone.
"I have a plan." Kipo said to everyone. "Is it going to get us killed?" Wolf asked Kipo. "Maybe not. 'Cause this time, you two are part of it." Kipo said to Wolf, as an axe flew past them and threw the Stakataka. "We don't have time to argue." Kalena said to Wolf, making her sigh. "Let's hear it." Wolf asked Kipo. "Me and Kalena will distract the monkey with music. I mean, it worked on the snakes. And then you sneaked up and hit it with the death stalker like, a lot, with the Pokemon helping you." Kipo said to Wolf, as debris started to fall around them, but the Stakataka covered them from the debris.
"Or we just- "Nope!"- the cats eat- "Nope!" Wolf said, with Kipo saying "Nope" over her and covering her mouth to make her stop talking. Kipo then turned to Camille. "May I?" Kipo asked Camille. "Goin' out in a blaze of glory, huh?" Cotton asked Kipo. then Camille lowered her head, allowing Kipo to take her guitar. "Nice knowin' ya, kid." Camille said to Kipo. "What about me?" Kalena asked Kipo. Then Aqua came out of nowhere. "Here use this." Aqua said to Kalena, handing her the tambourine, before disappearing. "Thanks Aqua? Where did you come from and where are you?" Kalena asked Aqua, but Aqua was already hiding again.
"Let's do this Kalena." Kipo said to Kalena, as she walked out of cover. Kalena sighed and followed Kipo. "Wait." Wolf said, stopping them. "You'll need this." Wolf said to Kipo, and her the metal clover. Kipo took it, and led Kalena up a rock, overlooking the battle. "Hey! Over here!" Kipo and Kalena yelled while playing their instruments.
And while it did get the attention of the Mega Monkey for a second, a Timbercats aex got it back to fightin. "Keep playing! I've got your back!" Wolf said to Kipo. "Right. Wish us luck, Dad." Kipo said to Wolf and the metal clover, before kissing it.
Then Kipo and Kalena played a gentle tune. As they played the Mega Monkey looked in their direction and roared. But the two just kept playing, as the Mega Monkey charged at them. "We may not have sunshine. Or starlight or weather. But we've got each other and that's even better." Kipo sang, as it's mood started to change, and it stopped in front of them, looking confused. This made Kipo gasp, as the two of them kept playing.
Then Wolf and the Pokemon jumped onto the Mega Monkey's back, but Kipo and Kalena shook their heads telling them to stop. This surprised Wolf and the Pokemon, but they didn't attack.
Soon the Mega Monkey was making a hooting sound and looked at them. "You don't need the sun to keep you warm. When you've got arms. Wishes come from you. And not a random shooting star." Kipo sang, as Wolf and the Pokemon got off the monkey. "We may not have storm clouds. But the sky's always blue." Kipo Sang, as her voice captured the attention of everyone. "We've got something special here. And what we have is you. What we have is you. What we have is you." Kipo sang, finishing her song, and bringing peace to everyone in the grove.
"Uh, hi. Wow, you're big. You're not gonna attack us, right?" Kipo asked the Mega Monkey. The Mega Monkey hooted and shook its head no. "You can understand me? Neat!" Kipo said. "I guess Wolf was wrong again." Kalena said to Kipo. "So, a few days ago, you broke into my burrow, and now I can't find my people or my dad. Did you, um… eat them?" Kipo asked the Mega Monkey.
The Mega Monkey then shook its head no, wildy. "You don't eat people, do you? So, they got away?" Kipo asked the Mega Monkey. The Mega Monkey nodded yes. "That's great!" Kipo said to the Mega Monkey. Then the Mega Monkey held out two fingers and tapped Kipo's and Kalena's head. "Then why did you attack my burrow?" Kipo asked the Mega Monkey. "Yeah if not for food. Then why did you steal that tree and attack Kipo's home?" Kalena asked the Mega Monkey.
Then the Mega Monkey started to hoot, but then a beeping sound could be heard. The Mega Monkey pulled back some of its fur to realved a collar and a puff of pink smoke shot out of the collar. This smoke made the Mega Monkey angry and hit the rock Kipo and Kalena were standing on with her tail, before jumping through the ceiling of the grove and leaving.
All the while Kipo and Kalena slid down the rock they were on, with Kalena landing on the ground first, then Kipo on top of her. "That was awesome… until it got scary." Kipo said, as she layed on top of Kalena. "Yeah, now can you get off me?" Kalena asked Kipo, as Kipo finally noticed she was on Kalena. "Oh sorry." Kipo said to Kalena, as she got off her.
Back with the Timbercats and Kartanas, Yumyan was standing on top of the stick with Molly. "At last, we have our tree! Raise your axes and blades for Yumyan, who led us all to victory!" Yumyan said the Timbercats and Kartanas, as Molly coughed. "And for Kipo and her friends." Molly said to Yumyan. "And for Kipo and her friends, of course." Yumyan said to the Timbercats and Kartanas, as Kipo and everyone with her regrouped, as everyone looked at them. Raise your axes and blades!" Yumyan said to the Timbercats and Kartanas, as they all cheered for them.
Then Yumyan slid down the stick and landed in front of Cotton, Camille, and the Stakataka, and walked to them. "Yumyan Hammerpaw." Cotton said to Yumyan. "Cotton." Yumyan said to Cotton. "If you guys walk out of here today, it's cool. Just don't tell anyone we let you." Cotton said to Yumyan. "And be quiet on your way out. Respect the headache. No screaming this time." Camille said to Yumyan. "We got your back." Yumyan said to them, holding out a paw. Camille put the end of her tail in Yumyan's paw, and they shook on it.
"Benson, Aqua, you seeing this? Snakes letting cats walk though their territory. This world is upside down." Dave said to Benson and Aqua. "We just watched Kipo and Kalena talk to a Mega Monkey, and this is what you're amazed by?" Benson asked Dave. "Uh, I can be amazed by more than one thing. Don't put me in no box." Dave said to Benson. "Too late, we already did." Aqua said to Dave, as Timbercats, the Umlaut Snakes, and some Stakataka's tried to move the stick.
"Maybe if we keep moving up and down something different will happen." A Timbercat said to everyone. "Kartana." The Kartanas said before cutting part of the grove under the stick away, making a hole in the grove and making the stick fall to the ground, luckily no one was hurt. "That'll work." the Timbercat said, as they started to pull the stick out of the grove completely.
Meanwhile Kipo and Kalena were watching this when Yumyan walked to them. "We owe you a great debt. Should you ever need us, just open this can of tuna, and help will come." Yumyan said to Kipo, as he passed her a can of tuna. "Wow. Thanks!" Kipo said to Yumyan. "It was an honor to fight with you. Here." Kalena said to Yumyan, as she broke off one of her scales. "For Kommo-o's we give our scales to those who earn our respect." Kalena said to Yumyan. "It was an honor to fight with you and your lizard as well Kalena." Yumyan said to Kalena, taking the scale. After that, Yumyan went back to his Timbercats to give them orders, while Kipo and the gang started to leave.
After walking for a bit and enjoying some peace and quiet, plus Kipo looking at the metal clover, Dave broke the silence. "Hey, so good news. We've decided not to leave you." Dave said to Kipo. "What? You were going to leave?" Kipo asked them. "Uh, who? No! Yes. Maybe. A little." Benson said to Kipo. "They were worried you would get us all killed." Aqua said to Kipo.
"What no. That's not it. Oh Aqua, is that monkey behind you?" Benson said to Kipo and asked Aqua. Dave then made a hooting sound. And Aqua went pale before fainting. "Huh? I guess she wasn't kidding about it being bad." Dave said, before Kalena stomped Dave into the ground, at the same time Clock picked Aqua up and started to carry her. "Moving on from that. The important thing is we've decided to commit." Dave said, as he dug himself out of the ground. "Thank you?" Kipo asked, not sure how to feel about it.
Bensin then cleared his throat. "Oh, you're welcome. And what you did with that Mega Monkey, that was amazing." Benson said to Kipo. "Yeah, who knew you had such an amazing voice, Kipo." Kalena said to Kipo. "Stop, it wasn't that good." Kipo said to Kalena, getting embarrassed. "It totally was. You two agree with me?" Kalena said to Kipo and asked Virgo and Kommo-o, with a smile on her face. "Poipole." Virgo said, agreeing with Kalena. "Kommo-o." Kommo-o said, agreeing with Kalena. All this made Kipo even more embarrassed.
"I'm just sorry we didn't find you dad." Benson said to Kipo, making her stop. "Me, too." Kipo said, as everyone else stopped. "But we know he'a alive and that my burrow got away. That's more than I knew before." Kipo said to everyone, as she looked at the metla clover.
"And we know something else." Wolf said to Kipo. "We do?" Kipo asked Wolf. "That monkey was clearly under some sort of mid-control. Your song snapped her out of it temportaily." Wolf said to Kipo. "That would explain why it's collar released that puff of pink smoke. But how did you know it was a female?" Kalena asked Wolf. "I don't need to tell you that. But there are rumors about a mute with the ability to do that…" Wolf said to Kalena, making Benson cover his ears.
"Don't say it." Benson asked Wolf. "Scarlemagne." Wolf said, making Mandu, Dave, and Benson freak out. "Oh… Still don't know who that is." Kipo said to Wolf, as she picked up a scared Mandu. "Yeah you all have been very loose lipped on that subject." Kalena said to Wolf. "Look if he sent that monkey, he must be targeting burrows. There's a good chance Scarlemagne is looking for your people." Wolf said to everyone, as they moved to a ruined building to look at the city.
"So, we have to find them first." Kipo said, as Mandu squealed. "I know, Mandu. It's a lot to take in. my people are out there somewhere. The only question is where?" Kipo asked everyone, as Benson pulled out his tape recorder. "What are you doing? Stealth mode. Have you learned nothing today?" Wolf asked Benson, as he, Dave, Groove, and Clock, with a still out cold Aqua, started to dance a little.
"When I get a good ideas, I play music. And I just had a great idea. I know where we can look next." Benson said to everyone. "Then what are we waiting for? It's a race to save Kipo's people. We had no time to lose. So let's go." Kalena said, as she jumped over the side of the building, and onto the rest of the building, which was at an angle. She slid down to the bottom of the building and waited for everyone. Everyone else cracked a smile and jumped over the side like Kalena and slid down, all the while everyone, but Aqua, smiling.
