Chapter 6
Chard Ruins
Everyone was looking around when Grif said. "They destroyed it all, Simmons, those damn stupid bastards. They Blew it all up! Damn them! Damn them to Hell! Those Damn dirty apes!" Grif said, earning a punch from Infernape. "Calm down Grif, we don't know that the whale world is like this." Simmons asid to Grif. "Yes it is, they destroyed it all. I guess the society of men just wasn't meant to survive." Grif said to Simmons.
"Are you being a little over dramatic? I mean humans live on hundreds of plants. For all we know it just works on this planet." Jack said to Grif. "Yeah how 'bout this: how 'bout we explore, more than two square miles, before we jump to any conclusions." Simmons said to Grif. "That might be two or more miles then Grif can handle." Jack said to Simmons.
"It was definitely nuclear weapons, that's what did it. And the explosions caused massive power outages which caused the failsafe to fail, which released a super bacteria from a secret lab. That caused a huge plague, and as the victims died, they rose from the dead twelve hours later to roam the Earth and feast on human flesh. A handful of gritty survivors from all walks of life were able to keep the legions of the infected radioactive undead at bay, using only their wits, and an inexplicable comprehension of agricultural science and engineering. Everything was looking good… and that's when the meteor hit." Grif said to everyone.
"I think you just quoted every crappy Hollywood apocalypse movie ever." Simmons said to Grif. "Nan. Hollywood doesn't understand apocalypse. They think that just one thing from everyday life goes away and that changes everything. Like in Road warrior it was gas, and in Waterworld it was land." Tucker said to Simmons.
"What went away in The Matrix?" Simmons asked Tucker. "Sunlight." Tucker said. "I thought the missing element was plot." Grif asked Tucker. "I was talking about Matrix One." Tucker said. "Oh right." Simmons said. "Face it Simmons, the age of man is done." Grif said.
"If all that happened, thn where are the zombies? Why aren't they still around?" Simmons asked Grif. "The meteor killed them!" Grif said. And what about the super bacteria?" Simmons asked. "It was infected by alien bacteria brought by the meteor, and was wiped out in a massive bacteria on bacteria plague. Very ironic." Grif said. "Okay, then why haven't we been infected by the new alien bacteria?" Simmons asked. "If only infects other bacteria. Are you even listening to me?" Grif asked. "No, because the stuff you said in the past minutes was a movie plot for a negative 5 star movie." Jack said.
"Do you guys ever get anything done, or do you just stand around and talk all day?" Tucker asked. "We don't get paid enough to do stuff." Grif said. "Wait, we get paid?" Jack asked. "But what about Church, idiot? How're we gonna get him from the past to the future?" Tucker asked. "Don't tell me you still believe the time travel explanation, Church is dead." Jack said to Tucker. "But if he is alive he'll just have to wait. That's how it usually works." Grif said.
"But when he gets to the present, he'll just be destroyed like everyone else." Tucker said. "Well, he'll just have to fix it on his own then." Simmons said. "And if he's successful, he'll get to live through the coolest apocalypse of all time." Grif said. "One your apocalypse is not the coolest, it's just a terrible random move. And two, HE IS DEAD!" Jack said to Tucker.
"Hey ladies, get yer keesters over here." Sarge said to everyone. Everyone moved to see West working on a totaled jeep. "Look what I found." Caboose said as West was working on a broken Warthog. West stopped and said to them. "I found this and the spare pairs we need to fix it."
"Look at what I took credit for finding." Caboose said and Sarge said. "It's unbelievable that a Blue could find and repair this piece of machinery."
"It looks like some kind of an alien transport mechanism that could be used to-" Grif said, but Simmons stopped him and said. "Or, it's a jeep."
"You have no imagination." Grif said and West said. "Will all of you stop talking and start digging." West then gave them all shovels. Simmons then said to West. "Why are we digging?"
"If you had one ounce of imagination, you would know that this place has spare parts buried. So start digging." West said to Simmons
"But what about the fuel?" Simmons said and Sarge said. "They're right, Simmons. You don't have any imagination."
"Thank you sir." Girf said and Sarge said to him. "Shut up, scumbag, we're not having a moment."
"Hey, we need to find Church." Tucker said. "How many times do I have to say it? He's dead." Jack said to Tucker. "Jack's right. He's dead, son. Why haven't you given up hope yet and just moved on?" Sarge asked Tucker. "It's only been a couple hours!" Tucker said to Sarge. "Well this should make you feel better, when his body blasted in the smithereens, at least he took all our enemies with him.
Building By A Beach
Sarge was wrong their enemies were alive. With Lopez's head on a beach near a building, saying system error in spanish. Then O'Malley walked to Lopez's head. "Don't worry, my metallic friend. You'll be up and about in no time." O'Malley said, as he laughed and couched at the same time.
