Sorry for the wait, I had a family thing to go to. Now before we start I would like to mention my new story in case you haven't heard about it. It's called Kipo And The Age Of Ultra Wonderbeasts. I already posted the first three chapters of it. Also since we unlocked Gigantamax in the last chapter they'll be more frequent in the story but not all chapters will have them, the Gigantamax that will be used will be based on the location of the chapter and it will be on what I feel like using.
P.S. This chapter will be short. So here's chapter 9.
Chapter 9
The Water's Secret Seller
After a day's walk, they made it to a small city with a lot of trader shops located in a cold area, where snow covered everything, from buildings to trees. There they rested and got Madison some purple Archer armor. After they woke up and started to leave, they heard a merchant helping a wounded guard. "Blast… It seems all hope is lost. Still, hold fast. I'll treat your wound." The merchant said to the guard. "Ngh… It's t-too late." the guard said to the merchant. This made Lissa run up to the guard, and start healing him. While Chrom started to talk to the merchant.
"What's happened here?!" Chrom asked the merchant. "Nothing but death around us. We're trapped." The merchant said to Chrom. Simon then slapped the merchant in the face. "Pull yourself together." Simon said to the merchant. "Simon." Chrom said Simon. "What? He needed it." Simons said to Chrom.
"Just tell us what happened." Chrom asked the merchant. "Bandist have blocked the road ahead. They're demanding a king's ransom in illicit tolls for all who wish to pass." The merchant said to Chrom. "Just when I thought the bandits in this land couldn't get any worse." Simon said. "Agreed." Chrom said to Simon. "The flow of goods must be secured, milord, or the people are likely to starve." Frederick said Chrom. "Then we will stop these bandits." Chrom said to Frederick. "Have the guards protect the city, we'll take the fight to these bandits." Chrom said to the merchant, as they all left the city.
Meanwhile outside the leaders of the bandits were chanting. Both leaders were male, with white skin, buzz cuts with the patter being opposite of each other, and wore red and purple berserker armor. "Vincent, darling?" the red one asked the purple one.. "Yes, Victor?" Vincent asked the red one. "I daresay we've come across a village, Vincent." Victor said to Vincent. "And what a thrivin little hamlet it is, Victor!" Vincent said to Victor. "Indeed. I think it'll make for a fine bit of pillaging, Vincent." Victor said to Vincent. "It most certainly will, Victor." Vincent said to Victor. "Well, then. I believe it's my turn to do the honors, isn't it, Vincent?" Victor asked Vincent. "I do believe it is, Victor! Ojh, but try not to kill them all this time, hmm? It tends to cut into profits." Vincent said to Victor before leaving.
Meanwhile in a nearby river. Grace, wearing blue thief armor, with a sword on her right side, and her Pokeballs still on the side of her legs, and a woman wearing red trickster armor, with a sword on her side. Were riding a large blue creature with four flippers, a long neck, a cylinder horn in the front of it's head, two large round ears on the back of it's head, and a large shell on it's back. That's what the girls were sitting on. Tied to the shell was a rope that led to a small boat that had a few crates on it.
"I gotta admit Grace, your Lapras is making good time." The woman said to Grace. "Lapras." Lapras said, with a careful tune in its voice. "She said thank you Anna." Grace said to the woman.
"Well, well, well. Look what we got here." A voice said, making the girls turn to see Victor and a lot of the bandits looking at them from the shoar f the river. "Looks like we have a couple of ladies and some goods. What a good catch." Victor said. "Now, now, it's not nice to bother two lovely ladies, is it?" Anna asked Victor. "Like we care. Get them." Victor said to his men. A few of them then charged at Anna, Grace and Lapras. Anna then jumped off Lapras' shell and attacked one of Victor's men with her sword.
Anna easily cut through one of Victor's men. "Grace, can you protect the goods?" Anna asked Grace. "No Problem." Grace said to Anna. "You think you and your beast can take us all." A bandit said to Grace, as more bandits surrounded her and Lapras. "You've missed count." Grace said as she opened three of her Pokeballs.
One of the Pokeball opened to reveal a serpent with half being covered in blue and red scales, and the other half being smooth tan skin. It had long red eyelashes that reached the ground, magnetic red eyes, two red antennas. And for blue fins on the end of its tail with red ovals on them. "Milotic." the serpent said, as it dived into the water.
The second one was a large blue slug with a green back, three eyes, and yellow lines on it. "Gastrodon." the slug said as it landed on the right side of the river.
The last one was a very large blue toad, with teal bumps and black outlines, standing on two small legs, massive arms, six bumps on it's back, two bumps on its amrs, two bumps on the head over it's red eyes. "Seismitoad." the toad said, as it landed on the left side of the river.
"More beasts. Like that will make a difference." A bandit said to Grace. "Don't call them beasts. My beautiful ladies Lapris and Milotic hate that. And while my Gastrodon and Seismitoad may not be the most attractive Pokemon, they are gentlemen. And now you'll see what they can do. Everyone use Surf." Grace said to the bandit, as she got off Lapras and onto the boat, and used her sword to cut Lapras free of the boat.
"Lapras/ Milotic/ Gastrodon/ Seismitoad." All of them said, as they glowed blue, then a lot of water started to come out of them, making them rise and form a wave. Lapras, Milotic, Gastrodon, and Seismitoad then jumped off and forward, making the wave fall forward, washing away a lot of bandits. The weak ones were watched away, while some of the stronger ones, pulse Anna and Victor withstood it. "Still think you have enough?" Grace asked the bandits.
Meanwhile back with the others the wave that Lapras, Milotic, Gastrodon, and Seismitoad made washed up a lot of the bandits near them. "What the? Where did they come from?" Lissa asked everyone. "I think it might have been Grace." Daniel said to Lissa. "How do you know?" Chrom asked Daniel. "Grace's signature move is called Surf. and Since these bandits showed up on a wave, I'm going with they got hit by Surf." Daniel said to Lissa. "Uh guys, we have a problem." Harper said to everyone, as the bandits started to get up. "Let's deal with them quickly." Frederick said to everyone.
"Agree. Perrserker/ Dubwool/ Machamp/ Trevenant/ Salazzle." The Trainers said as they let their Pokemon out of their Pokeballs. "Okay get ready cause me and Machamp are going to clear a path." Theo said to everyone. "Okay. I'm ready." Daniel said to Theo, as he and else everyone got ready to run. "Then let's get started." Theo said to everyone, as Simon, Harper and Madison pointed their Dynamax band at Theo letting the energy flow towards Theo. Theo then pointed his Dynamax band at Machamp, letting the energy flow into Machamp. Then Machamp started to grow, becoming Gigantamax.
Machamp's new form looked like his old form, but his eyes were glowing, he had three clouds around his waist, and his hands were overflowing with energy making cracks on his arms. "All right, let's show these bandits who's in charge. MACHAMP TRIPLE USES G-MAX- CHI STRIKE!" Theo said to Machamp, as he got onto Silver's back.
"MACHAMP." Machamp said, as his fist started to glow a light orange. Machamp slammed his first punch into the ground, knocking off the snow on the trees, and making him glow light orange. The second punch went into the ground again, and this time, knocked the bandits that got up, back towards the ground, and made him glow light orange again. The final punch went into the ground as well, but this time it was stronger, and caused all the snow on the ground to shoot up into the air, covering the field in a bust cloud made of snow. "CHARGE!" Theo said as they all started to move into the snow cover, with Machamp shrinking and going after Theo.
Meanwhile, back with Grace and Anna, they were holding back the strongest of the bandits, when they noticed the ground shaking and the dust cloud of snow. "What was that?" Anna asked Grace. "We can worry about it later. Lapras use Hyper Voice. Milotic Swift. Seismitoad Earthquake. And Gastrodon Blizzard." Grace said to everyone, as she fought with a bandit.
"LAPRAS!" Lapras said, letting out a very loud sonic burst at a few of the bandits. "Milotic." Milotic said as she whipped her tail, firing yellow stars at the bandits. "Seismitoad." Seismitoad said, as he slammed his feet into the ground, causing the ground to shake, and knocking a few of the bandits in front of him off their feet. "Gastrodon." Gastrodon said, as he fired a snow storm from his mouth, freezing the bandits a little.
"That girl is really getting on my nerves." Victor said, as he looked at Grace, who was still fighting one of the bandits. "Don't forget about me." Anna said as she attacked Victor. Victor dodged Anna and backed up. "Oh, you're getting on my nerves too." Victor said to Anna, before another bandit started to fight Anna.
Back with the others, they were making their way through the snow, attacking the bandits along the way. "Absol use Night Slash." Robin said, as she used her sword to take out a bandit. "Absol." Absol said, as her claws gave off a black shine. Absol then slashed another one of the bandits.
"Litleo use Headbutt." Chrom said to Litleo, as he and Litleo charged at two of the bandits. "Litleo." Litleo said, as he slammed his head into a bandit, at the same time Chrom slashed a bandit.
"Perrserker use Metal Claw." Simon said to Perrserker, as he locked his weapon with a bandit's weapon. "Perrserker." Perrserker said as he popped out his claws and turned them silver. Perrserker then attacked the bandit that Simon had his weapon locked with, and finished him.
"Dubwool use Bounce." Daniel said to Dubwool. "Dubwool." Dubwool said, as he jumped into the air, and crashed down on a bandit. Dubwool then rolled off the bandit and allowed Daniel to finish the bandit.
"Trevenant use Wood Hammer." Harper said to Trevenant, as she countered a bandits attack. "Trevenant." Trevenant said, as his claws became two barrel logs. Trevenant then slammed the logs into two bandits.
"Salazzle use Flamethrower." Madison said to Salazzle, as she fired a few arrows at the bandits. "Salazzle." Salazzle said as she shot out a stream of fire from her mouth, burning one of the bandits.
"Happiny use Disarming Voice." Lissa said to Happiny, as a bandit charged at her and Happiny. "Happiny." Happiny said as she fired a sound wave with pink hearts in it. This made the bandit stop in his tracks.
"Swablu use Peck." Sumia said to Swablu, as she and Swablu charged at the bandit that was about to attack Lissa. "Swablu." Swablu said, as she pecked at the bandit's hand, causing the bandit to drop his weapon, allowing Sumia to easily run her spear through him.
"Machamp use Strength and tosses them." Theo said to Machamp, as he and Silver circled around a few bandits. "Machamp." Machamp said, as he flexed his muscles, making them larger. Machamp then grabbed four bandits, each with one hand, and tossed them into the group Theo and Silver were circling. This turned the bandits into a dogpile.
"Mudbray use Stomp." Donnel said to Mudbray. "Mudbray." Mudbray said, as he jumped up and stomped his front hooves into the dogpile of bandits, hurting them all.
Back with Anna and Grace, Victor was getting angry with them and the Pokemon. "I've had it." Victor said as he charged at Grace with an axe in his hands. Grace noticed this and moved back, dodging Victor's wild attacks. "You and your beasts ruined a perfectly good profit." Victor said to Grace, as she still dodged him.
"You call trapping and killing people a good profit?" Grace asked Victor as she blocked a few of his attacks. "We wouldn't kill them if they paid us with all of their money. Heh heh heh." Victor said to Grace, as they locked weapons. "You're crazy." Grace said, as they forced the two of them back a few feet.
"No, I'm just an opportunist." Victor said to Grace, as he charged at Grace again. "No she's right, you're crazy." A male voice said, making Victor and Grace turn to see Daniel charging at Victor. But Victor blocked Daniel's attack, and locked weapons with him. "Daniel?" Grace said, surprised to see him here.
"So you're the leader of these bandits?" Daniel asked Victor. "Yes. Now give up! I was born a Victor. And victory will be mine!" Victor said to Daniel. "Yeah right." Daniel said to Victor, as he forced Victor back. "Do you really think you can beat me alone?" Victor asked Daniel. "Who said I'm alone?" Daniel asked Victor. Victor then looked around to see everyone finishing off the bandits.
"Let's end this Dubwool use Take Down." Daniel said to Dubwool. "Dubwool." Dubwool said, as he started to glow white. Then Daniel and Dubwool charged at Victor. Victor jumped out of the way of their attack, and was met with Grace attack. But again he blocked the attack and locked weapons with Grace.
"Lapras use Blizzard." Grace said, before jumping back. This caused Victor to be right in front of Lapras. "Lapras." Lapras said, as she fired a snow storm from her mouth. Victor tried to block Lapras' attack, by crossing his arms, but he couldn't stop the freezing winds from causing ice to form on his body.
"Let's finish this Daniel." Grace said to Daniel. "Agree. Dubwool use Bounce again." Daniel said to Grace and Dubwool. "Dubwool." Dubwool said to Daniel, before jumping into the air. Dubwool then landed on the back of Victor, and rolled off him. As Victor tried to get up, he was met with Daniel and Grace's swords. The two swords ran into his chest. Daniel and Grace then pulled out their swords. "I… I see an open field, Vincent… Such beautiful flowers…" Victor said with his final breath.
Once Victor fell most of the other bandits ran away or surrendered. "So you must be Grace, it's nice to meet you." Lissa said to Grace, as everyone tied up the bandits that surrendered. "Nice to meet you." Grace said to Lissa, shaking Lissa's hand. "So what Pokemon do you have?" Lissa asked Grace. "Here." Grace said, pulling out her Blue Rotom Phone.
Lapras.

A Smart And Kind Hearted Pokemon, It Glides Across The Surface Of The Sea While Its Beautiful Song Echoes Around It.
Milotic.
The Tender Pokemon.
Water.
Milotic Has Provided Inspiration To Many Artists. It Has Even Been Referred To As The Most Beautiful Pokemon Of All.
Gastrodon.
The Sea Slug Pokemon.
Water / Ground.
Its Body Is Covered In A Sticky Slime. It's Very Susceptible To Dehydration, So It Can't Spend Too Much Time On Land.
Seismitoad.
The Vibration Pokemon.
Water / Ground.
It Increases The Power Of Its Punches By Vibrating The Bumps n it's Fists. It Can Turn A Boulder To Rubble With One Punch.
"So Simon mentioned your fighting style is 1 vs a lot. Is that true?" Chrom asked Grace, as he and Litleo walked to Grace. "Yes, I also know a lot of moves that can target multiple opponents." Grace said to Chrom. "Then could you teach us a few of them?" Chrom asked Grace. Grace didn't respond; she just bent down and examined Litleo. "Huh?" Grace said as he held her hand over Litleo's throat. "I think I can teach Litleo a move. But first let's get these bandits to town." Grace said to Chrom.
"And get our goods to market." Anna said to Grace. "And who are you?" Chrom asked Anna. "My name's Anna. Some folks like to call me the Secret Seller. Next time we meet, I'll be sure to cut you an extra-special deal." Anna said to Chrom. "Secret Seller? That sounds… familiar." Chrom said to Anna. "It should. Anna's family is a well known group of traders." Grace said to Chrom. "Now, now, Grace, try not to tell too much. It wouldn't be much of a secret, now would it?" Anna asked Grace. "Fare enough now let's get back to town, and lock these guys up and sell you stuff." Grace said to Anna, as she returned her Pokemon to her Pokeballs, and started to walk towards town.
Some time later, after locking up the bandits, everyone was relaxing in town. Well, almost everyone. Grace was outside the city working with Chrom and Litleo, and a couple training dummies. "Now Litleo I'm going to help you teach Hyper Voice, but you'll have to pick what move to forget." Grace said to Litleo.
"What do you mean move to forget?" Chrom asked Grace. "Pokemon can only know four moves at a time. And what they keep and forget is up to the Pokemon. We can teach them new moves, but it's still up to the Pokemon." Grace said to Chrom.
"Now Litleo, Hyper Voice is like yelling. But you have to focus as well. The way I thought it to Lapras, was by having her imagine yelling at someone for getting her covered in mud." Grace said to Litleo. "Why that?" Chrom asked Grace. "Lapras doesn't like mud. She is a sea creature after all. Getting covered in mud is both not natural for her kind and she's a lady." Grace said to Chrom.
"Now Litleo I want you to try and roar at the dummies." Grace said to Litleo. "Litleo." Litleo said to Grace, before nodding his head. "Litleo!" Litleo roar, but nothing happened, not the dummies. "Try it with a little more force." Grace said to Litleo. "LITLEO!" Litelo roared, having a little more force in it. "Again." Grace said to Litleo. "LITLEO!" Litelo roared again, making one of the dummies move a little. "Almost, again." Grace said to Litleo. "LITLEO!" Litelo roared again, causing all the dummies to move a little. "Just a little more, again." Grace said to Litleo. "LITLEO!" Litleo roared again, but this time it worked.
Litleo roared let out a very loud sonic burst, rattling the dummies. "Litleo." Litleo said coughing a lot. "That's enough." Grace said to Litleo. "Is he okay?" Chrom asked Grace. "Yes, Lapras went through the same thing when she was learning Hyper Voice. After all the attack it's the same as a person yelling. It takes time for a thoat to get use to it." Grace said to Chrom, as she held a hand over her throat. "Can I ask you something?" Chrom asked Grace. "What is it?" Grace asked Chrom. "Would you join the Shepherds?" Chrom asked Grace. "You mean your team?" Grace asked Chrom.
"Yes. We could use your help, and your knowledge." Chrom said to Grace. "Well I have heard some stories about a mad king trying to start a war with a country called Ylisse." Grace said to Chrom. "It's true. He wants to kill my sister and destroy our home." Chrom said to Grace. "Sounds like you need all the help you can get?" Grace asked Chrom. "Yes I do." Chrom said to Grace. "Then count me in." Grace said to Chrom. "Then welcome to the Shepherds." Chrom said to Grace
Then Robin and Absol started to walk outside. "Well I'm going to talk to Anna about leaving. Later." Grace said to Chrom, as she left. "So how'd it go?" Robin asked Chrom. "Litleo has started to learn Hyper Voice, but we still have some work to do." Chrom said to Robin. "So Simon was right about her." Robin said to Chrom. "Looks like it." Chrom said to Robin. "Things have been changing a lot lately." Robin said to Chrom. "They sure have. I just hope everything will be fine when everything is said and done." Chrom said to Robin. "I'm sure it will be." Robin said to Chrom, as she placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I hate to interrupt you love birds but we have to talk." A voice said to Robin and Chrom. They turned to see Simon. And then they realized how close to each other they were and back away from each other a little bit nervous. "Simon what can we do for you?" Chrom asked Simon. "I just want to know what's our next move?" Simon asked them. "That is a good question?" Robin asked Chrom. "We'll have to head back to the capital, to protect Emmeryn." Chrom said to them.
"I figured you'd say that." Simon said to Chrom. "So you're okay with that?" Chrom asked Simon. "I would like to find Layla and Ethan, but we have no idea where they could be, and your sister needs us. But what do we do when we get back to the capital?" Simon asked Chrom.
"Once we get back, we'll start a march to Regna Ferox." Chrom said to Simon. "In that case I say we leave at the crack of dawn, that way we get to the chapital and gather what we need from it before we march to Regna Ferox." Robin said to everyone.
"So the plan is to leave in the morning, stop by the capital, pick up Emmeryn, and head to Regna Ferox?" Simon asked them. "That about sums it up." Robin said to Simon. "Well then we best get some sleep. We have a lot, lot, lot of walking ahead of us." Simon said to everyone. They nodded yes, and went inside to rest for the night.
The next morning everyone got up and started to head towards the capital, all the while Daniel was telling Grace about everything they've learned, from how the Dynamax bands work here, to how crazy Gangel is.
