Sorry for the wait, it's a short chapter and I could have finished it sooner, but I was distracted by playing Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. So here's chapter 12.
Chapter 12
Anna the Merchant and Carbink The Diamond
After walking for the rest of the day, they decided to make camp in a ruined city, and while Daniel, Harper, Grace, Theo, Layla, and Madison were explaining the moves of the Shepherds' Pokemon, Chrom set by a fire with Litleo lying nearby, asleep. "Chrom, are you alright?" A female voice asked Chrom. Chrom looked up to see Robin and Absol walking to him.
"No, not really. I'm worried about Emm." Chrom said to Robin, as she took a seat next to Chrom and Absol laid next to Liltelo and went to sleep. "I'm sure Emm is safe." Robin said to Chrom. "I'm still worried about her." Chrom said to Robin. "Remind me who's the elder sibling between the two of you?" A male voice asked Chrom. That's when they notice Simon and Copperajah walking to them, and taking a seat on the other side of the fire.
"Look none of us like the idea of Emmeryn going back to the capital. But she's right. Your people need her more than us." Simon said to Chrom. "But she could die." Chrom said to Simon. "Chrom you have to relax." Robin said to Chrom, holding his hand. "Listen to her. The best thing we can do is get to Ferox and get back as soon as possible." Simon said to Chrom. "Then what are we doing here, we need to get to Ferox now." Chrom said to everyone, as she stood up. "Chrom we had a battle today and we've been marching for the rest of it. Everyone is tired, we need to rest." Robin said to Chrom, helping Chrom back to his set.
"Robins right again Chrom, we need to rest. We can't help Emmeryn if we all drop dead along the way to Ferox or along the way to help her." Simon said to Chrom. "Fine, but we leave at first light." Chrom said to them, as everyone got ready to sleep.
The next morning as they got ready to go, they noticed a group of bandits moving past them and into a deeper part of the ruined town. "Bandits, what are they doing here?" Simon asked everyone. "Probably used this place as a hide out." Frederick said to Simon. "I don't think that's it?" Grace said, as everyone noticed she was on top of the ruble looking at the bandits. "What makes you say that?" Daniel asked Grace. "Cause I see Victor leading them." Grace said to Daniel, surprising everyone.
"Victor? But we ended him?" Daniel asked Grace. "Yes but someone i'm looking at Victor, but his colors are purple not red." Grace said to Daniel, as she got off the ruble. "Maybe it's his brother or something?" Harper asked everyone. "Whoever this guy is. We need to stop him and his bandits before they can do more damage." Frederick said to everyone.
"We can't waste our time with bandits." Chrom said to everyone. "Chrom we can't leave when bandits are running around." Simon said to Chrom. "We don't have time to waste on bandits. Emm needs us to get to Ferox then return to her as soon as possible." Chrom said to Simon. "Chrom, if Emm was here she would tell us we have to stop those bandits before they hurt anyone." Robin said to Chrom, placing a hand on Chrom's shoulder.
Chrom then let out a breath. "You're right. But let's make it quick, we can't spend all our time dealing with them." Chrom said to Robin. "Right." Robin said to Chrom, as everyone got ready to fight, and went after the bandits. "Orbeetle, Musharna, Lunatone return." Layla said as she returned them to their Pokeballs, and left with Mr. Rime.
Meanwhile Vincent, not Victor, surrounded Anna, who had a floating rock, with two blue jewels for eyes, diamonds sticking out of it's side and a large diamond on the bottom of it, white fluff below it's eyes, two diamond shaped rock ears, and diamond like mohawk, with her.
"We have business, you and I, and I aim to settle the debt. Victor will be avenged today!" Vincent said to Anna. "Oh, dear. Have we met?" Anna asked Vincent. "Playing dumb won't save you, girly. The gold you net from the slavers will build Victory the finest grave in the land! And your floating diamond will make me rich." Vincent said to Anna. "Careful, Love. Prices aren't the only thing I can cut in half. And my little diamond has a very hard body for a little boy." Anna said to Vincent, as she pulled out her sword.
"Carbink." the diamond said before he charged and slammed into the gut of one of the bandits. Once the diamond moved away from the bandit, the bandit fell to his knees, clenching his gut, making it easy for Anna to finish him. This gave the two of them the chance to escape Vincent.
Meanwhile the Shepherds started to slash through the bandits. "Litleo use Hyper Voice." Chrom said to Litleo. "LITLEO!" Litleo roared, making a few bandits drop their weapons and cover their ears. This made it easy for Chrom to cut them down.
"Absol use Shadow Claw." Robin said as she fired a bolt of electricity at a bandit, the electricity made the bandit twitch. "Absol." Absol said, as her front paws became encased in black energy with a purple outline. Absol then charged at the twitching bandit, and finished him with her Shadow Claw.
"Luxio use Spark." Frederick said, as he charged at a group of bandits. "Luxio." Luxio said, as elasticity started to run through his fur. Frederick and Luxio's charge made the bandits scatter.
"Copperajah use Heavy Slam." Simon said as she forced a bandit to her. "Copperajah." Copperajah said, as she raised her front legs and crushed the bandit under her.
"Grapploct used Close Combat." Theo said, as he rode Sliver around in circles, keeping a few bandits from moving. "Grapploct." Grapploct said, as he jumped over Theo and into the bandits. Grapploct then let out a flurry of rapid tentacle strikes into all of the bandits, knocking them out, and covering them in bruises.
Then some more bandits started to move the Shepherds. "Gastrodon use Blizzard." Grace said to Gastrodon, as she finished a bandit. "And Mr. Rime use Ice Beam." Layla said, as she fired a fire spell at a bandit. "Gastrodon/ Mr. Rime." the two of them said, as Gastrodon fired a snow storm from his mouth at the bandits, and Mr. Rime pointed his cane at the bantis. The two attacks combined and froze the bandits in a block of ice.
Harper was locking weapons with another bandit. "Roserade use Sludge Bomb." Harper said to Roserade. "Roserade." Roserade said, as she fired a ball of slug at the bandits face. This made the bandit remove one hand from his blade to remove the sludge from his face, and that gave Harper the ability to overpower him and finish him.
"Dubwool use Take Down." Daniel said, as he battled two bandits at once. "Dubwool." Dubwool said, as he glowed white and slammed into one of the bandits, taking the edge off Daniel and allowing him to slash the other bandit.
"Swablu/ Happiny use Disarming Voice." Lissa and Sumia said, as a bandit charged at them. "Swablu/ Happiny." the two of them said, as they fired sonic bursts with pink hearts at a bandit. The sound burst made the bandit stop. Then Sumia flew in on her pegasus and ran the bandit threw with her spear.
"Salazzle use Poison Gas." Madison said to Salazzle. "Salazzle." Salazzle said, as she quickly moved to some bandits. Salazzle then opened her mouth, letting out a toxic gas cloud from it. This made the bandits hack and cough as they exited the cloud. This made it easy for Madison to put arrows in the bandits.
"Bouffalant / Tauros use Horn Attack." Sully and Stahl said to Bouffalant and Tauros. "Bouffalant/ Tauros." the two said, as they charged through the bandits, with their horns glowing white, and knocked the bandits into the air, letting Sully and Stahl finish them off.
Virion was firing arrows at a couple of bandits. "Formantis, can you help me by using Razor Leaf?" Virion asked Formantis. "Fomantis." Fomantis said, before firing razor sharp leaves at the bandits.
"Raboot/ Fletchinder use Flame Charge." Panne and Cordelia said to Raboot and Fletchinder, before Panne transformed into her giant rabbit form. "Raboot/ Fletchinder." the two of them said, before encasing themselves in fire. Then all four of them charged at the bandits and attacked with a furry.
"Nickit use Knock Off." Gaius said to Nickit. "Nickit." Nickit said to Gaius, as he ran at a bandit. Nickit then used his tail to knock the bandit's weapon out of his hand. Gaius then finished the weaponless bandit.
"Meditite use Force Palm." Lon'qu said to Meditite, as bandits charged at them, and they didn't move. "Meditite." Meditite said to Lon'qu. Then Lon'qu and Meditite started to one shot the bandits, with Lon'qu slashing them with his sword, and Meditite sending them flying into rubble with his palms.
"Ricken, Ponyta can you two get these ruffences away with your wind magic and Fairy Wind?" Maibelle asked Ricken and Ponyta, as they stood in front of a group of bandits. "Sure. Doudo can you help us with Quick Attack?" Ricken said to Maibelle and asked Doudo, as he made a gust of wind blow from his book. "Ponyta/ Doudo." The two of them said, as Poyta fired a burst of wind from her horn with sprakes in it, and Doudo ran around the bandits at high speed, knocking them off their feet. The winds from Ricken and Poyta blow the bandits away.
"Hawlucha tosses me one with an Aerial Ace." Vaike said to Hawlucha. "Hawlucha." Hawlucha said, as he disappeared and reappeared behind a bandit. Hawluch then kicked the bandit to Vaike. Being unstable left a wide opening for Vaike to strike.
With Kellam, a bandit was slamming his blade into Kellam shield. "Kecleon get behind this guy and use Fury Swipe." Kellam said to Kecleon. "Kecleon." Kecleon said to Kellam, as he disappeared, and moved to behind the bandit. Once behind a white claws came out of his small arms. Then Kecleon let out a flurry of scratches into the bandit's back. This made the bandit stop, drop his blade, and tried to get Kecleon off his back. While doing that Kellam slammed his shield into the bandit knocking him out.
With Donnel, he was dodding a bandits attack. "Mudbray use Mud-Slap." Donnel said to Mudbray, while dodging the bandit. "Mudbray." Mudbray said, as he fired a ball of mud at the bandit's face. With the mud in his face, Donnel had no problem taking control of the fight and winning it.
With Miriel she was firing multiple fire spells at the bandits, when a bandit tried to stab Miriel in the back. "Castform." Castform said, as she flew above Miriel, and formed a green bubble around her and Miriel. This buble protected them from the bandits' attacks, no matter how many times the bandit attacked it. Miriel then released what was going on, and when the bubble disappeared, Miriel fired a fire spell at the bendit finishing him. "Nice work with the Protect, Castform." Miriel said to Castform.
As the fighting continues, Chrom, Robin, Simon, Daniel, Grace, and their Pokemon move through the bandits, they find Anna and the diamond creature. "Anna?!" Grace said, surprised to see her here. "Oh hello." Anna said to everyone. "Is that a Pokemon?" Robin asked Simon. "It's a Carbink." Simon said, pulling out his Rotom Phone.
Carbink.
The Jewel Pokemon.
Rock / Fairy.
It's Said That Somewhere In The World, There's A Mineral Vain Housing A Large Pack Of Slumbering Carbink. It's Also Said That This Pack Has A Queen.
As Simon put his Rotom Phone away, Anna noticed Chrom. "Hello there, Handsome! Am I being rescued?" Anna asked Chrom. "We didn't even know you were here Anna." Grace said to Anna. "Sorry, do I know you?" Anna asked Grace. "Anna it's me Grace we used my Lapras to transport some of your goods down a river?" Grace asked Anna.
"Oh! Hee hee! You must have worked with one of my sisters." Anna said to Grace. "Sister? Gods, you look identical." Chrom said to Anna. "Yes, there's a strong family resemblance. Oh, and we're all traveling merchants." Anna said to Chrom. "With the same name?" Chrom asked Anna. "We've heard that before." Simon said to everyone, with Daniel and Grace nodding in agreement.
"You have?" Robin asked Simon. "Back home all the Poekmon medical stuff is handled by these girls that are called nurse Joy, all being family. And the face of the police system, our guards, is a family of women called Jenny." Simon said to Robin. "So your medicine is run by a family all named Joy, and your guards are run by a family all named Jenny?" Robin asked Simon. "Yes." Simon said to Robin. "It seems mine isn't the only one in on the secret." Anna said to everyone.
"Those and your family gathering must be chaotic." Chrom said to Anna. "True, but aren't everyone's?" Anna asked everyone. "I found you." a voice said to Anna. Everyone turned their heads to see Vincent and some bandits walking towards them. "Victor!" Grace said to Vincent. "Wrong. I'm Vincent. Victor is my dead twin brother. But how'd you know about Victor?" Vincent asked Grace.
"Cause we put him in the ground." Daniel said to Vincent. "Then you're the ones we put down first." Vincent said to Daniel, as he and his bandits pulled out their weapons. "Grace, want to help me finish Vincent?" Daniel asked Grace. "Sure." Grace said to Daniel. "Everyone else, can you take care of the rest of the bandits?" Daniel asked everyone. "We got it. Anna, care to join us?" Simon said to Daniel and asked Anna. "Any friend of my sister is a friend of mine. I'll fight with you." Anna said to Simon, as they started to fight.
"You two stand no chance. I'm a conqueror by name and a conqueror by nature!" Vincent said to Daniel and Grace, before charing at them. "Dubwool use Bounce." Daniel said to Dubwool. "Dubwool." Dubwool said as he jumped up into the air. "You really think a falling sheep can stop me?" Vincent asked, as he pointed his axe to the sky where Dubwool will come down from.
But then Daniel and Grace came charging at Vincent with their blades crossing. Vincent noticed this and quickly lowered his axe to block their attack and lock weapons with them. "Gastrodon use Blizzard." Grace said to Gastrodon, as she and Daniel unlocked their weapons from Vincent's weapon, and jumped back. "Gastrodon." Gastrodon said as a snow storm came out of his mouth.
The snow storm froze Vincent's joints, making it easy for Dubwool to crash into Vincent, forcing Vincent into the ground. "You still think a sheep and some ice will stop me?" Vincent said as he got up, and charged at them again.
Vincent and Daniel started to trade blows, leaving scratches on each other. "Gastrodon use Muddy Water." Harper said to Gastrodon, as Daniel moved Vincent to have Vincent's back against Gastrodon. "Gastrodon." Gastrodon said, as a surge of muddy water came from under him. The muddy water became a wave that was about to crash into Vincent and Daniel. Lucky Daniel noticed the wave and dodged it before it could hit him. But Vincent wasn't able to dodge the wave. The muddy wave wasted Vincent off his feet and got him all muddy.
"I'm not done yet." Vincent said, as he got up. But before Vincet could get fully up, Daniel came up and kicked Vincent's weapon away. "Dubwool use Giga Impact." Daniel said, as he ran from Vincent. "Dubwool." Dubwool said, as his body started to glow white and release large amounts of energy. Then Dubwool charged at Vincent at high speed. When Dubwool slammed his horns into Vincent, the force of the attack was enough to send Vincent flying into a ruined wall, making the wall crack and break a little.
And before Vincent could move from the wall, Daniel and Grace came charging at him, and ran their swords into Vincent's chest, finishing him. They removed their swords and let Vincent fall to the ground, making him look at a puddle. "I… I see you race, Victor… No… No, Wait… That's me…" Vincent said, as his last breath left his lungs and he fell to the ground dead.
With Vincent dead, the rest of bandits either scattered or died trying to avenge him. But the battle was over. "Well, that takes care of that." Daniel said to everyone. "Hey Anna, you and Carbink want to join us?" Grace asked Anna. "Sure. You did help my sister out, with work and protection, and you helped me. So I don't see why not. I'll have you know I can be quite useful. You'll never make a loss with me in tow- I guarantee it!" Anna said to Grace. "Great welcome to the Shepherds." Grace said to Anna.
"Alright people let's move! We have to make up for lost time!" Chrom said to everyone. "Chrom you need to relax. I'm sure everything is fine." Simon said to Chrom, as the Shepherds started to move to Ferox.
But everything was not fine. Shortly after returning to the capital. Emmeryn was captured by the Plegian that overran the place. Now heavily armored Plegian soldiers were escorting Emmeryn through a hot desert.
But the shoulder stopped, when they noticed a small gray creature, with a fin on its head, a red chest, a mouth that was almost as big as its body, six sharp white fangs, two oval attached to the side of it's head below the fin black eyes with a white circle around it and in it, and short stubby arms and legs. This creature was eating some barriers and not having a care in the world.
"Another one of these creatures. I'll take care of it." A soldier said to everyone, as he raised his blade. That's when the creature noticed the soldier. "Gible." the creature said, getting scared. But before the soldier could strike, something burst on the ground and sent the soldier flying.
When the dust clear, they saw a large purple creature standing in front of the small creature, it had a thin and tight body, a red belly, a thick neck, a head with a bump going over it's blck eyes with yellow irises and two oval attached to the upper sides of it's heads thin arms with two spikes on each of them and ending with claws that curved down, study legs with two spikes on each of them, three claws on the feet, a long tail with two sort fins near the end, and three large fins on it one on it's back and one of each of its arms. "Garchomp!" The purple creature roared at everyone.
This made the soldiers draw their weapons. But then Emmeryn moved in between all of them. "Wait! don't attack!" A elderly man in very heavy and thick red armor said to everyone, making the soldiers freeze. Emmeryn then turned to the creatures. "Garchomp!" the purple creature roared into Emmeryn's face. "I mean you no harm." Emmeryn said to the purple creature, as she petted it's belly. This surprised the creature.
Emmeryn then kneels down and petted the grey creature. "Gible." the grey creature said, enjoying the pets. "This little one must be your child. You're just defending your child, like any mother would." Emmeryn said to the purple creature, as she kept petting the grey creature. "Garchomp." the purple creature said to Emmeryn, nodding her head yes. "You should leave while you can." Emmeryn said to the purple creature. "Garchomp." the purple creature said to Emmeryn.
"Garchomp." The purple creature said to the grey creature, before she started to dig a little. "Gible." the grey creature said, nodding yes. "Gible." the grey creature said to Emmeryn, being a thank you, before digging. Soon the two of the creatures dug into the earth and disappeared.
That's when the man in the red armor walked to Emmeryn. "Your lucky Gangrel wants you alive. But try something like that again, and I won't stop them from killing you. Now move!" The man said to Emmeryn, before he, Emmeryn, and the soldiers started to move again.
Meanwhile the purple and grey creature came up from underground a safe distance away from everyone, and they saw and figured out Emmeryn was a prisoner of the Plegian. "Garchomp." the purple creature said, before she and her little one dugged back into the ground, and started to secretly follow Emmeryn and the Plegian.
