In the Pokemon world lived a lonely boy named William. He had no friends or family, and only his first Pokemon Mudkip was with him. Then one day he found his way to Ephinea and he met Asbel Lhant. Soon the two of them became best friends, but when dark forces from the past and ancient secrets return to Ephinea can William and Asbel be able to save it or will it be lost.

11. Chapter 11

Chapter 11

The Whales Path

After meeting with the president Asbel and Alice met up with the rest of the group. "Welcome back." Sophie said to Asbel and Alice. "Soo, what was the president like, huh?" Pascal asked Asbel and Alice. "We've met him before. Remember the guy in Sable Izolle, and later by the Rockgagong?" Asbel said to everyone. "Huh? That was him?" Cheria asked Asbel. "Yeap." Alice said to Cheria. "If that's the case, why didn't you say anything sooner?" William asked Alice. "Cause I was gone, and buried in the sand. But I will admit, it would have been nice to meet him earlier. Would have saved us some trouble." Alice said to everyone.

"So that means the discussion went well, yeah?" Pascal asked Asbel and Pascal. "Not exactly. As things stand, Hubert's recall is pretty much a done deal. Apparently, Srahta sent their military to Lhant to take possession of our cryas. But they can't get the amount of cyrus they want with Hubert's methods." Asbel said to everyone. "So they're going to replace him." Malik asked Asbel. "If we want to stop them, we have to do something about Strahta's cyrus shortage." Asbel said to everyone.

"That's an extremely difficult problem for one person to solve." Malik said to Asbel. "I don't understand why they need Windor's cyrus in the first place. I mean, they've got their own valkines cyrus, right?" Pascal asked Asbel. "Now that you mention it, that is kind of strange." Asbel said to everyone. "There shouldn't be a shortage of cyrus with a Valkines in place." Cheria said to everyone. "Maybe there's something all wobbly with the valkines here. We should talk to people or whatever, yeah?" Pascal said to everyone. "And I know just who to talk to. Follow me." Alice said to everyone, as she started to walk. Everyone else surged their shoulders and followed her.

A few minutes later they found themselves outside a small house. "Okay everyone brace yourself." Alice said as she did a strange knock on the door. "Brace for what..?" William asked, but was interrupted by the door being lung opened and Alice getting knocked to the floor. Everyone then noticed a little boy with the same hair color as Alice, and was spiky, the boy also had the same skin color as Alice, but a little taner, he was wearing blue shorts, with a sleeveless tan shirt. The boy was hugging Alice tightly.

"Alice, your home." the boy said to Alice. "Yes I am. Now can you get off of me Eero." Alice said to the boy. "Sure sis." Eero said to Alice, as they both got up, showing everyone his blue eyes. "Sis?!" Everyone asked, with a shocked look on their faces. "Yeah, everyone this is my little bro Eero." Alice said to everyone. "Hello everyone." Eero said waving to everyone. "Hello." Everyone said to Eero. "So Alice, which one of these two young men is your boyfriend?" Eero asked Alice. "Neither of them are my boyfriend. Your ball of trouble." Alice said to Eero as she got him in a head look with her left arm and gave him a nuugly with her right hand.

"Oh no the dreaded Sister lock. Top save me." Eero said. Then a large top came out of the house. It had two sharp points on both the top and bottom of it, two long sticks stretching out of it, closed eyes, a red circle with a line going around it's waist, and a thick red line over its eyes. (Here I come, Eero. Mud-Slap.) the top said with a male voice, before tossing a ball of mud at Alice's face. "A Baltoy?" William said to everyone. "Baltoy?" Cheria asked William. "Here." Asbel said to Cheria, opening the book.

A Ground / Psychic Type Pokemon

It moved while spinning around on its single foot. Some Baltoy have been seen spinning on their heads.

"You think a little mud will help you, you're wrong. Ducklett use Water Gun." Alice said to Ducklett, as Asbel put the book away. (Got it.) Ducklett said as she fired a stream of water at the two of them, washing away the mud on Alice and drenching the both of them. "Not even a minute back, and you're all already causing a mess." A male voice said to Alice.

Everyone then noticed a man with an average body, with the same skin, hair ,but it was short, and eye color as Alice, but he was wearing a different uniform then Alice. "Hey dad." Alice said as she hugged the man. "Everyone, this is my dad Levi Moore." Alice said to everyone. "Hello." Everyone said to Levi. "Dad, do you mind if me and my friends come in and join you for dinner?" Alice asked Levi. "Of course. I won't want to make one of these fine gentlemen that is your boyfriend stay outside." Levi said to Alice. "Dad none of these guys are my boyfriends and I don't even like them that way. They're more like convenient travel buddies." Alice said to Levi. "Whatever now, come inside and help your mom set everything up." Levi said to Alice as they all walked inside.

"Mom, I'm home. And I brought some friends." Alice said to everyone, as they entered the small living/ dining room. "Oh that's great Alice." A female voice said to Alice, as everyone heard footsteps closing in on them. Then a woman with white skin, brown hair that reaches her shoulder, blue eyes, an average body, wearing a red sleeveless shirt, with some red pants on. "Everyone, this is my mom, Charlotte Moore." Alice said to everyone. "Hello." everyone said to Charlotte. Everyone but Malik, who looked at Charlotte with a very surprised look on his face, while Charlotte gave him the exact same look.

"So Mom got enough food for all of us?" Alice asked Charlotte. But Charlotte said nothing. "Mom?" Alice asked Charlotte. "Uh. Sorry Alice. I was just trying to see how many "friends" you brought with you." Charlotte said to Alice, while focusing on Malik for the friends part. "Why don't we help you mom." Alice said to Charlotte. "I'll help too." Cheria said to Charlotte. "Thank you now, let's get to work. We have a lot of mouths to eat." Charlotte said to Alice and Cheria, as she led them to the kitchen.

Then after the three of them choked the food and ate it, Alice explained to her family what's been going on. "So dad, since you work with the government, I thought you might know what's wrong with the Valkines, so can you help us?" Alice asked Levi, as she finished telling her story, and dinner. "While I don't know how you can fix it. I can tell you how they work. At least in a spiritual scene." Levi said to everyone. "That's better than nothing I guess." Asbel said to Levi.

"As you know there are three great beasts, The Blue Whale, the Green Serpent, and the Red Lizard. The Valkines were gifts from them, changing the energy of the beast into physical form, that would be the cryas. But the Blue Whale and Red Lizard are big time rivals, never able to one up each other. And during their many fights. The Blue Whales land turned to the desert it is today. And the Red Lizards land turned into a frozen wasteland. This change in environments damaged the Valkines on both sides, making it harder for cyrus to form." Levi said to everyone.

"So the whole reason they're after cyras is because their Valkines isn't working properly." Asbel asked Levi. "Most likely. If you believe the legends. The Green Serpent land was unaffected by the others fighting, so it's easier for the Valkines there to make cyras. It doesn't mean you have an infant amount, but you don't have to worry about no cyras for a long time." Levi said to Asbel. "Well, we've figured out the problem, but what can we do?" Malik asked everyone, as Pascal quickly drew something. "We gotta go show this to the president!" Pascal said to Malik, showing off a very detailed drawing of the Valkines.

"This is... a diagram of the Valkines?" Asbel asked Pascal. "Impressive." Levi said to Pascal. "Yeah! So you take this over there and tell him your friend knows all about Valkines, and then he'll be all whooo!" Pascal said to Asbel. "Wait. Are you saying…" Cheria asked Pascal. "Pascal, you know about the Valkines Cryas?" Asbel asked Pascal. "A little, yeah! I mean, I read about 'em in some old documents once." Pascal said to Asbel.

"You really do know everything, don't you Pascal!" Cheria said to Pascal. "Hee hee! I just like learning about stuff, ya know? The president might not care, but it can't hurt to show him anyway." Pascal said to Asbel. "All right, Pascal, we'll give your idea a try. Thanks." Asbel said to Pascal.

"But you'll have to try in the morning. Now why don't you all go to sleep. And I want boys and girls in separate rooms." Charlotte said to everyone. "Yes mom come on girls you can crash in my old room." Alice said, leading the girls to her room. "Eero, why don't you take the guys to your room." Charlotte said to Erro. "Okay mom, night." Eero said as he led the guy to his room. "I'll clean up, you got to bed honey, they might need your help in the morning." Charlotte said to Levi. "Okay night love." Levi said to Charlotte before giving her a kiss and leaving to their room.

Charlotte then started to clean up dinner. And after everything went quiet Malik walked into the kitchen while Charlotte was still cleaning. "Never thought I would see you as a housewife." Malik said to Charlotte. "And I never thought my daughter would bring you into my house." Charlotte said to Malik, as she put down a dish. Then Charlotte and Malik hugged each other. "It's good to see you again Malik." Charlotte said to Malik. "You too." Malik said to Charlotte, after they broke the hug.

"So what have you been doing all these years?" Malik asked Charlotte, as they took a set. "Well after what happened. I wanted to live in despair, and punishment. But I still had some pride and wouldn't turn myself up to the government. So I sneaked onto a ship and smuggled myself here. I tried to live with the bare necessities, punishing myself for what happened to her." Charlotte said to Malik. "What happened to her wasn't your fault." Malik said to Charlotte.

"Doesn't make me feel better. Anyway one day I met Levi, and he fell head over heels for me. I rejected him like a hundred times. It got to the point where it was part of my daily routine to say no to him. But that never stopped him. And as he kept doing it, I got to know him, and I started to fall in love. And when I did I told him that I wasn't the kind of woman he deserves. But again he disagreed. He told me that I was the only woman for him. It was then we started to date. A year later, we got married, another year later Alice came into our lives. I thought about naming Alice after her, but It was her name and she's the only person I know that deserves that name." Charlotte said to Malik.

"She would have loved to meet Alice. She's an amazing young woman. Reminds me of you a little bit." Malik said to Charlotte. "That's all on you Malik. I never told Alice or anyone about my past. I didn't want them to know about my failure, but I always told them about us in bedtime stories. And those stories inspired her to be who she is today. She told me. "I want to be as cool as Mr. Beard"." Charlotte said to Malik, making them laugh a little.

"Mr. Beard. I haven't heard that name in a long time." Malik said to Charlotte. "Yeah. and while I knew I couldn't stop her from joining, I was able to convince her to be a medic. But then she went above and beyond and became a Lieutenant. I was really scared and happy for her when she was promoted." Charlotte said to Malik. "And how do you feel about her quitting?" Malik asked Charlotte. "I say like mother, like daughter." Charlotte said to Malik, making him laugh again. "You got that right." Malik said to Charlotte.

"Malik, can I ask you a favor?" Charlotte asked Malik. "Always." Malik said to Charlotte. "Can you keep Alice safe for me? I know my girl enough to know that she'll probably follow all you to whatever crazy thing you guys ended up doing." Charlotte said to Malik. "Well she is your daughter." Malik said to Charlotte, reading him a light punch to the arm. "I'll just feel better if I know you're with them." Charlotte said to Malik. "I promise to protect her." Malik said to Charlotte. "Thanks. Now tell me what you've been up to." Charlotte said to Malik. Then the two of them chatted until it was very late. That's when they went to their rooms to sleep the rest of the night away.

The Next Morning Charlotte, Levi, Eero, and Baltoy said their goodbyes and gave Alice a big family hug, before they went to meet with the president. When they got their Asbel and Alice alone went into his office, where President Paradine, and Mudsdale were waiting for them. The two of them saluted as they entered the room.

"Well, Asbel, and Alice do you two have a plan?" President Paradine asked them. "Mr. President, We think we may be able to help you fix your Valkines Cryas." Asbel said to President Paradine. "All right… fair enough. What are you planning?" President Paradine asked them. "Please look at this diagram." Asbel said, handing President Paradine the drawing Pascal drew last night.

President Paradine then looked at the drawing. "It's from a friend of ours who's extremely knowledgeable about such things." Asbel said to President Paradine. "Our friend Pascal made it. You can ask my father to verify it. He was in the room when Pascal drew it." Alice said to President Paradine. "She said she'd be willing to investigate." Asbel said to President Paradine.

"Hmm. it seems you've been holding a trump card this whole time. Well, you're right. Our country's Valkines Cryas has been experiencing severe problems as of late. When we sent a research team to investigate, they found Amarcian ruins at its base, as well as dried up water ways." President Paradine said to Asbel. "Amarcian ruins!" Asbel said to President Paradine. "I'll admit the Amarcian ruins are a surprise, but not the water way. After all, the Blue Whale is the one who made the sea." Alice said to President Paradine.

"You're familiar with the Amarcians? The mysterious people who left ruins all over the world? We don't know if these ruins are connected to the Valkines somehow, but it's possible. I'm telling you this because I'm interested in what your learned friend might think. Our scientists have precious little insight when it comes to Amarcia. It would be most helpful if she could take a look." President Paradine said to Asbel and Alice. "If we agree to investigate the problem, will you let Hubert stay?" Asbel asked President Paradine.

The president started to think. "Investigation will not be enough, I'm afraid. You will need to fix the problem altogether." President Paradine said to Asbel. "Okay. I'll take my friend to see the Valkines Cryas." Asbel said to President Paradine. "And me and the rest of the team will go with them." Alice said to President Paradine. President Paradine nodded in agreement.

"It's located in the desert west of here, surrounded by some ruins. I will give you an ID card as well. We don't allow regular citizens to approach the Valkines, you see." President Paradine said to Asbel, as he handed Asbel an ID card. "Thank you. And Good luck." President Paradine said to them. The two of them bowed and left President Paradine.

Asbel and Alice then walked back to the others. "Sorry to keep you waiting." Asbel said to everyone. "How did it go?" Sophie asked Asbel and Alice. "Well, he was very interested in Pascal's diagram. He wants us to investigate the Valkines as soon as we can." Asbel said to everyone. "Sweet." Pascal said before she spun around. "Thanks, Pascal. With a little luck, I think we might be able to save Hubert now." Asbel said to Pascal. "Hey, no sweet! I'd do anything to see Strahta's Valkines Cryas! So where is it?" Pascal asked Asbel and Alice.

"Inside some ruins in the desert west of here." Asbel said to Pascal. "All right. Let's get going." Malik asid to Asbel, before they started to move.

After an hour of walking they made it to some ruins that were full of dried up water ways. "The Valkines should be here somewhere." Asbel said to everyone, before a guard came running up to them. "Halt! Outsiders are not permitted to enter here!" the guard said to everyone. "We've come to investigate the Valkines Cryas on orders of the president." Asbel said to the guard, as he showed the guard the ID card.

The guard took the ID card and looked at it. "Ah! Forgive me. You and their team are free to enter. The Valkines is located near the back of the ruins." the guard said to Asbel, as he gave back the ID card. "Let's go in." Asbel said to everyone.

Everyone then walked over a few bridges and looked around the ruins. It was all decorated with sea life. "Man who ever made this place didn't realise that this place would be in the middle of the desert." William said to everyone. "More likely they were part of the Blue Whale church." Alice said to William. "What do you mean?" Asbel asked Alice.

"I don't know how the churches work in Windor and Fendel, but here in Strahta the church plays a very important role. The church believes the Blue Whale made the water, and has control over the water supplies, making sure it's not contaminated or bad." Alice said to everyone.

"But doesn't that mean they would be the dominant force in a desert?" William asked Alcie. "You think, but no. The church is actually a pretty peaceful group. They try to act like water. Going with the flow, being as gentle as a stream or as harsh as a raging sea when needed. Anyway. With their belief in the Blue Whale. It's common to find the walls of the Church painted with sea life." Alice said to everyone. "So the church made these ruins?" Cheria asked Alice. "Probably not. They probably just added it on, when they found this place." Alice said to Cheria.

A few minutes later they found the Valkines. It was ikky blue, with stone waves on the bottom of it, and on top was an oval statue with two triangle fins on the back, and four broken parts on it's side, and laying around the ground was a bunch of broken stone. All of which is surrounded by a nearly dried up water circle with a bridge as the only way in and out of the Valkines.

"Ohmigosh, I can't BELIEVE I'm standing in front of Kyomar. It's amazing! I never thought I'd see it in person. But the color looks a little yeesh." Pascal said to everyone. "Damage from the man battles with the Red Lizard?" Alice asked Pascal. "Maybe?" Pascal said to Alice, as she ran to the Valkines. Asbel then walked to a scientist. "The president has asked us to investigate the valkines. So… may we please take a look?" Asbel asked the scientist. "If you have official permission, be my guest. Please." The scientist said to Asbel.

Pascal stood in front of a thin part of the stone waves, where some lines were showing. "Oh, I see… That totally makes sense… So this section is all broken and stuff, and it;s causing some kind of weird interference." Pascal said. "Pascal translation." William asked Pascal. But Pascal didn't answer him, instead she pulled out an oversized drill. "Well in that case…" Pascal said before she started to drill into the Valkines. "Where did you get that drill?" William asked Pascal. "We'll just hafta use Mr. Drill…" Pascal said, not litensing to William.

Pascal then put the drill away and pulled out a large hammer. "Where did that hammer come from?" William asked Pascal, but again Pascal ignored him. "Aaaand! BAM! Kapow!" Pascal said, as she hit the Valkines. Then the Valkines started to shine like the sea and turned into an aqua/ blue color. "Wha… what did you just do?" The scientist asked Pascal. "I was kinda just winging it, but looks like it mighta worked." Pascal said to the scientist.

"Just winging it. You pulled a drill and hammer out of thin air, hit the Valkines, and suddenly it worked? You call that winging it?" William asked Pascal. "Looks like it." Pascal said to William. "Uh, who are you people?" the scientist asked everyone. "That's kind of hard to explain." William said to the scientist. "Enemy attack!" Someone yelled, as they all heard explosions behind them.

Everyone then turned around to see Richard standing on the back of Skarmory, a flock of monster birds flying with them. With a few new large bird monsters, and more of Skarmory's Shadow clones in the flock. And then, they noticed a black and green aura coming off Richard and Skarmory. "Richard! Why are you here?" Asbel asked Richard. (Agate, what have you done to those monsters?) Boltund asked Skarmory. But neither of them answered them. "Hey! Answer me!" Asbel said to Richard, as he ran forward, with Boltund.

But then Richard pulled out his sword and pointed it at Asbel. Then Richard fired a blast of air at Asbel and Boltund. Asbel and Boltund jumped out of the way before the blast hit them. "But why?" Asbel asked Richard, as the rest of the team ran to Asbel and Boltund position. "Stop!" Sophie said to Richard. Then Richard and Sophie locked eyes. "No I… I can't… I can't fight… Richard…" Sophie said, as she looked at Richard, with worried eyes. Meanwhile Richard looked at Sophie with a discussed look in his eyes.

"You dare to interfere?!" Richard said to Sophie before the Birds and Clones started to attack. Everyone then scattered with their weapons out. "Boltund use Bite." Asbel said to Boltund as a clone came at them. (Got it.) Boltund said as his teeth became long and sharp. Boltund then jumped up and bit into the shoulder of one of the new monsters. Asbel then ran his sword into the monster that Boltund bit into, and finished it.

"Ducklett use Water Gun." Alice said to Ducklett. (Take this.) Ducklett said as she fired a steam of water at one of the copies face. This blaninded it, allowing Alice to slam her shield into the cope before slashing at it with her axe, finishing it.

"Elgyem uses Psybeam." Pascal said to Elgyem as she fired a few fire shots at the copies in the sky, but was missing, or scratching them. (Firing.) Elgyem said as he fired a mutley color beam that moved in the shape of a sharp wavelength, but it missed the targets in the air. Then two of the copices flew down at Pascal and Elgyem, and while they were able to take one out. The other one cut Pascal's right arm a little. "Pascal." Cheria said she ran to Pascal and healed her. "Thanks." Pascal said to Cheria.

Then the copy came around for another attack, this time targeting Cheria. (Cheria look out!) Ralts said to Cheria, as she pushed Cheria out of the way of the attack, taking the hit instead. "Ralts!" Cheira said as Ralts rolled on the ground, ovalstyy hurt from the attack. Then as Ralts started to get up she started to glow blue. She became taller, her hement started to grow into the shape of long hair and the fins on it moved to the side almost like bows, her legs now become long, skiny, and had a fin tip on the end, and her body was still white, but she gained a tutu.

The light faded right when Ralts got up. Ralts then opened her eyes, revealing her red eyes. "Ralts?" Cheria asked, wondering what happened. "Cool she evolved into a Kirlia." Asbel said to Cheria. "Kirlia?" Cheria asked Asbel. Asbel then pulled out the book.

A Psychic / Fairy Type Pokemon

If its Trainer becomes happy, it overflows with energy, dancing joyously while spinning about.

"Is now really the time for reading?" William asked as he and Swampert finished a few of the copies. "Oh right." Cheria said to William, as Asbel put the book away. That's when they noticed the copy that attacked Kirlia and Pascal was coming back, and targeting Krilia this time. (You won't get me twice ruffen.) Kirlia said as she hit her tutu, knocking out some leaves, Kirlia then twirled and kicked the leaves. This caused the leaves to glow muti-colors and head straight for the copy. The copy then changed course to dodge it, but then the leaves changed course and hit the copy finishing it. (Good riden.) Kirlia said to the copy.

"What was that?" Pascal asked William, as they got back to back with Malik. "That was Magica Leaf, a grass move that fires leaves with energy that makes it never miss." William said to Pascal. "That is so cool." Pascal said to William. "Less talk, more action!" William said to Pascal.

"Agree Growlithe use Flame Wheel." Malik said to William as they scattered. (You got it.) Growlithe said as he jumped up and beame case in flames. Growlithe then landed and started to roll. Then while still rolling Growlithe jumped up, and hit one of the new monsters. This made the monster stop, and allowed Malik to get a clean hit with his boomerang blade, killing it.

"Golett us Shadow Punch." Sophie said to Golett. Golett said nothing and fired a shadow fist from his right first. The Shadow Punch hit one of the copies in the face knocking it out of the sky. Sophie then ran to it and punched it hard, finishing it.

"Alright Swampert, let's finish this with Avalanche." William said to Swampert. (You got that right.) Swampert said as he started to glow light blue. Then a storm cloud appeared above the last, new monster. The Ice rained down, and forced the monster to crash into the ground. William then ran to the monster and jamb his spear into it, killing the last of Richard and Skarmory's monsters and copies. "I had expected more from you two." William said to Richard and Skarmory.

(Then try this out.) Skarmory said to William, before releasing some green energy. Then more copies started to form, but these copies were different then the first batch They were like missiles, no legs, the tail was in a fixed position, it's neck was attached to the back of it's head, the wings were now four wings in the shape of an X, and the fin on their heads had become a long curved blades.

"What the?" Pascal asked as the copies started to attack. But only like the other copies, these green ones moved at high speed. And everyone tried their best to fight back, but the green copies were too fast, the best they could do was dodging them by a little, or blocking them.

From above Richard and Skarmory watched as the copies were winning the fight. Then they noticed William was separated from the others. "He's alone, let's finish him." Richard said to Skarmory, before he placed a hand on his face and shook his head. (Yes.) Skarmory said to Richard. (No... you... can't...) Skarmory said with a female voice. (Quiet you, I'm in control here.) Skarmory said with a male voice, before roaring.

The majority of the green copies then started to attack Wiliam. William tried to block or kill them, but he could land a hit on any of them, and could only block a few of the attacks. Soon William dropped to his knees covered in scratches. "William!" Asbel said as he and the other tried to go to William's side, only to be stopped by the green copies. William then looked at Richard and Skarmory with an angry face. "Time to need this!" Richard said as he pointed his blade at William.

"WILLIAM!" Asbel yelled, as Richard fired a burst of air at William, at the same time William's eye glowed blue. Then William released a large pillar of blue energy, snuffing out Richard's air blast. Then the ground started to shake, and geysers of water burst out of the ground in the water circle, filling up the circle to the max and overflowing into the waterways.

Then a blue image of Kyogre appeared from the water and collided with William. That's when the energy faded revealing William in a new form. This form was covered in blue armor, having two blue steamers on the back of his legs, a small cone shaped tail, two fins on his back, and two large flippers connected to the back of his shoulders, and his head was wrapped in an oval hement, with his eyes still glowing blue. In his hands, his spear became a long blue sea shell with a long blue handle.

"William?!" Asbel asked William. William then let out a roar. "He has that power as well?!" Richard said. (Get him!) Skarmory said to his copies. Then the green copies started to attack William. William then ran and jumped into the water. (While he's distracted, let's go.) Skarmory said to Richard as he flew away.

The green clones didn't follow him into the water, they just circled over the water, with the rest joining the group attacking William. But as they did, water shot out of the water, hitting the wings of a few of the copies, spinning them out of control and crashing them into the walls and ground of the place. These crashes were enough to turn the copies back into energy.

"Looks like the green ones can't take a hit." Pascal said to everyone. "They must be pretty weak." Asbel said to everyone. "If they can move like that, they don't need to be that steady." Malik said to everyone, before a big geyser burst out of the water.

Then William appeared from the geyser, in front of a green copy. The green copy didn't have time to react before William ran his spear through it, destroying it. But now that he was in the air, the other green copies charged at him. But then William held out his spear and a large, powerful stream of water gushed out of it. And since they were all heading towards him, he had no trouble taking all of them out. William then pointed his spear down and fired another stream of water, this one being gentle. This stream slowed him down as he reached the ground. On the ground William let out a victory roar.

"William, calm down!" Asbel said to William. William then let out a growl and looked at Asbel. "William, calm down! Please." Asbel asked William, as he locked eyes with William. William then let out a breath, and started to glow blue again. Once the glow stopped, William was back in his normal form, wounds all gone, but his strength was still low and he fell forward. Luckily Asbel caught him, before he hit the ground. "William!?" Asbel asked William. "I'm okay." William said as he stood up on his own again. "Wait! Where's Richard?" Asbel asked everyone.

Then everyone heard a sound in the sky behind them. They all turned around and looked up and saw Richard and Skarmory draining blue energy from Kyomar. "Ah! What is he doing?!" A scientist asked everyone. "What are you trying to do now?!" Asbel asked Richard. (Agate, what are you and Lambda doing?) Boltund asked Skarmory But Richard said nothing. "Nooo! But th- that's impossible! They're… They're draining out the Valkines Cryas!" A scientist said to everyone, as he taped on a panel, at the same time Kyomar started to turn gray.

"According to our instruments, there's nothing left! What do we do?!" A scientist asked, as Richard and Skarmory finished draining the Valkines. "I find the sight of your face… utterly disgusting." Richard said to Sophie, as blue aura joined their black and green aura. "As long as you exist… we can never know peace! We will settle this someday. So prepare yourself." RIchard said to Sophie. (And be ready cause next time we fight, I won't just have speed on my side.) Skarmory said to the Pokemon, before they took off.

"Wait." Sophie said to Richard, before she fell to her knees. "Sophie, what's wrong?" Asbel asked Sophie, as everyone else gathered around her. "N-No… Richard… Skarmory… Richard and Skarmory are my friends. I can't do it… It will make everyone so sad…" Sophie said to herself. "Sophie! Get a hold of yourself!" Cheria said to Sophie.

"Go easy on her Cheria. It sounds like she's having an internal crisis." Alice said to Cheria. Then Sophie started to regain her strength. "I'm… I'm all right now." Sophie said to Cheria. "Asbel… About Ricahrd and Skarmory… If we don't stop them soon, something bad will happen. But… But Richard and Skarmory are our friends. So it's wrong… to fight them. And yet… I tried… I tried to attack him… I'm sorry." Sophie said to Asbel. Asbel then kneeled down.

"Sophie… We all feel bad about it. We need to know why he's doing these things before we fight him." Asbel said to Sophie. "It's so strange. I don't understand what happened. How was King Richard and Skarmory capable of such a feat?" Malik asked everyone. (I don't think it's them. I'm guessing that this, Lambda and Agate things have some kind of drain ability.) Swampert said to Malik. "I have no clue either, Swampert." William said to Swampert. (But I do have a clue.) Swampert said to William. "We'll talk about this later. Pascal, how's the Valkines?" William said to Swampert and asked Pascal. Swampert then let out a growl, as Pascal looked at the lines in the Valkines.

"Well, I'm sorry, guys. Even I don't know what to do now." Pascal said to everyone. "But this is terrible! What will happen to our nation without the Valkines Cryas?!" A scientist asked everyone. "Pull yourself together. We will figure something out." Alice said to the scientist. "Asbel? What are you going to tell the President?" Malik asked Asbel. "I'm going to tell him the truth. I think that's all we can do now." Asbel said to Malik. "Not like we have much of a choice." Alice said to everyone.

'Richard looked the same. He looked just like he did when we fought in Lhant. What's happened to him?' Asbel asked himself, as he looked at the sky. "Asbel? Will Richard and Skamrory always be like they are now?" Sophie asked Asbel. "Maybe Sophie." William said to Sophie, answering for Asbel. "I sure hope not." Sophie said to William. "No, I refuse to believe that." Asbel said to William. "Asbel you saw Richard. That's not the man we befriended when we were kids." William said to Asbel. "Come on. Let's go back to see the President. There's nothing more to do here now." Asbel said to everyone before they all started to move.

As they headed back they noticed that the waterways were all full with flowing water. "Man I can't believe William did all this!" Pascal said to everyone, before dunking her head into a waterway. "And it's so fresh and cool." Pascal said to everyone "I'm a little surprised, after all I was using Kyogre's power, this should be salt water." William said to everyone. "Kyogre?" Cheria asked William. "The Blue Whale." William said to Cheria as he pulled out his Pokedex.

It is said to have widened the seas by causing downpours. It had been asleep in a marine trench.

"So the Blue Whale is a Pokemon two, Amazing!" Pascal said to everyone. "Wiat how did you know that the Blue Whale was Kyogre?" Asbel asked William. "The other night, I had a nightmare about Kyogre. I saw him turn into that form I was in, and I saw him destroy our ship with a giant wave." William said to everyone. "If that's the case, why couldn't you do that?" Pascal asked William. "I don't know. Maybe because we were in a desert? Or maybe I'm not even using it at its full power." William said to everyone.

"And by full power, you mean that storm you did back in Lhant?" Cheria asked William. "I am. I don't know how or why, but I have this feeling that I've only touched the tip of the iceberg." William said to Cheria. "Well I think it's better we don't try to use it." Cheria said to William. "Cheria, this is William's power, we need to help him learn how to control it, and it has helped us battle Richard and Skarmory." Asbel said to Cheria.

"And it almost blew Lhant off the map, and if it was stronger today, I could have drowned everyone." William said to Asbel, getting Asbel's attention. "You wouldn't do that." Asbel said to William. "And how do you know that? Let me remind you. Rayquaza and Kyogre are two ancient Pokemon, the inbodments of the primal forces that made the planet. Their powers know no mercy, no compassion. They only know rage. So tell me, do you think it's a good idea for me to let the power out. A power that I can't control, and is very destructive?" William asked Asbel. Asbel said nothing. "That's what I thought. Let's get back to the President." William said to Asbel, before leading the way.

(So Kirlia, how does it feel to be Kirlia?) Boltund asked Kirlia. (I feel fine.) Kirlia said, with a neutral voice. (Fine? Kirila you evolved. It's amazing!) Boltund said to Kirlia. (It's not that amazing.) Kirlia said to Boltund. (What happened to you? You're more confident, but you're not as emotional as before?) Boltund asked Kirlia. (I don't know?) Kirlia said to Boltund. (Sometimes when a Pokemon evolves their mindset changes. After all, evolving to us is like growing up. In Kirila's case, she grew up from a scared little kid to a confident teem.) Swampert said to Boltund.

(If evolving can change your personality, then why didn't my personality change?) Boltund asked Swampert. (Cause you were more metaly ready for this change then Kirlia was. Think of it, like Kirlia's personality is what she should have been when she evolved natualry. But since she's been battling with us. It happened sooner. So now her mind is catching up with her body.) Swampert said to Boltund. "Hey Swampert, Boltund, Kirlia, hurry up! We have to get to the President as soon as possible." William said to them. Making the three of them realise they were a bit behind the rest of the team. They then stopped talking and started to run, until they got up to the others.

After a bit, they finally got back to Yu Liberte, and the team made their way to President Paradine's office. And when they got there they found Hubert, and Drizzile in the office chatting with President Paradine. "Hubert! What are you and Drizzile doing here?" Asbel asked Hubert. "The situation has changed." Hubert said to Asbel. "Windor has pulled her armies out of Lhant and stationed them in Barona." President Paradine said to everyone. "What why?" Alice asked President Paradine.

"More on that in a moment. Let's hear your report." President Paradine said to everyone. "Um, well…" Asbel said to President Paradine. "We failed sir." Alice said to President Paradine. "You see, King Richard and Skarmory appeared at Kyomar and then they… Um…" Asbel said to President Paradine. Then President Paradine and Hubert looked at each other. "Did they absorb all the eleth from the Valkines Cryas?" Hubert asked Asbel, surprising everyone. "How did you know?!" Asbel asked Hubert.

"It's the reason why Windor's army pulled back. King Richard and his Skarmory absorbed the energy from the Valkines cryas in Barona and then vanished. Apparently, the capital is in chaos." Hubert said to Asbel. "That would explain Skarmory's new trick." William said to everyone. "We have no idea why, or how, King Richard and this Skarmory with him would do such a thing." President Paradine said to everyone. (It's not Richards and Skarmory's doing it Lambda and Agate's doing.) Swampert said to President Paradine.

"Swampert, we're trying to give a report here. Can you be quiet?" William asked Swampert. (Why do I even bother?) Swampert asked himself. "Regardless, we cannot stand idly by. The time has come for action." President Paradine said to everyone. "Gotta plan, President?" Alice asked President Paradine. "There are two issues. First, we must deal with the loss of our Valkines Cryas. Second, we must find King Richard and his Skarmory, and ascertain they're ultimate goal. This new development is a threat to all nations, and we must put aside petty international squabbles." President Paradine said to everyone.

"As two of the Valkines have been drained, we must assume he will target the third as well. That means they're likely heading for Fendel." Hubert said to President Paradine. "Asbel, I must ask you a great favor: Will you take up the pursuit of King Richard and Skarmory?" President Paradine asked Asbel, surprising Asbel. "Does that mean you're sending me to Fendel?" Asbel asked President Paradine.

"One of your friends knows about Valkines, another about Pokemon, and you know the king. I can think of no better people for the job. Please know we will support you with every resource at our disposal." President Paradine said to Asbel. "Very well, Mr. President." Asbel said to President Paradine, earning a nod of agreement from everyone.

"We have our own concern about both the Valkines and the king and his Pokemon. So we accept your proposal." Asbel said to President Paradine. "Hubert? I want you to accompany Asbel with Drizzile." President Paradine said to Hubert, shocking Hubert. "But, Sir!" Hubert said to President Paradine. "Mr. President, Lhant will be lost without Hubert!" Asbel said to President Paradine.

"If I allow you to choose the next governor, will that put your mind at ease? I understand you might have concerns about who I would nominate. And I would want your mind clear and focused for the upcoming investigation." President Paradine said to Hubert. "Well, Asbel Lhant? Do you find my terms acceptable?" President Paradine asked Asbel. "Yes, Mr. President. Thank you very much." Asbel said to President Paradine. "I mearley made a decision in our country's best interest. Well, then enough talk. Asbel? Hubert? All of you? Good luck." President Paradine said to everyone.

"Hubert is coming with us?" Sophie asked. "It's an order. I have to come. Still, I'm a bit… uneasy about the arrangement." Hubert said to Sophie. "And I'm a little uneasy about traveling with you." William said to Hubert. "Uneasy?" Sophie said as she touched her heart. "Have you had any trouble dealing with these people, Sophie?" Hubert asked Sophie. "Like you care about her or anyone." William said to Hubert. "No… Except for being eaten by the Rockgagong." Sophie said to Hubert. "He doesn't need to know about that." William said to Sophie. "Wait, what?" Hubert asked them.

"But your pepper charm made it sneeze and we got out." Sophie said to Hubert. "Yeah, your charm saved the day, Hubert. Thanks." Asbel said to Hubert. "It's a coincidence. Nothing more." Hubert said to Asbel. "Yeah, and besides you made the charm, so it was your charm that saved the day." William said to Asbel. "He's right, you gave me that charm, remember? I didn't need it anymore, so I gave it back. That's all." Hubert said to Asbel.

"It was still pretty incredible. It was kind of like having you save us yourself." Asbel said to Hubert. "How can my older brother still be so naive? It's things like that which make me uncomfortable about this journey." Hubert said to everyone. "And it's that attitude that will make William turn back into his Serpent or Whale form and kill you, unless your naive brother calms him." Alice said to Hubert. "His what?" Hubert asked Alice. "I guess you'll just have to keep them out of trouble, and keep your head down before you lose it." President Paradine said to Hubert.

"Welcome to the party, Little Bro!" Pascal said to Hubert. "Oh, all right, all right! We'll work together. So it shall be, Asbek" Hubert said to Asbel. "I doubt you mean that Hubert." William said to Hubert. "William, be nice and thank you Hubert." Asbel said to them. "How should we enter Fendel, Mr. President?" Hubert asked President Paradine. "Take a boat out to Warrior's Roost, then secure passage from there." President Paradine said to Hubert. "What's Warrior Roost?" Sophie asked President Paradine.

"It's a small island set apart from the other three counties. It functions as an autonomous district. Come. We can reach the port via the coty's north gate." Hubert said to everyone. "I'll meet you there, I have to go tell my family I'll be leaving." Alice said to everyone. "You're coming with?" William asked Alice. "Sure, this problem is for everyone, and I can't sit by and do nothing. Besides, it's not like I'm doing anything else." Alice said to William. "Then, we'll be glad to have you Alice." Asbel said to Alice. "Thanks, now I gotta go say goodbye to my family. I'll see you all at the doc." Alice said to everyone, before she left with Ducklett. Everyone else then left and headed to the dock.

Meanwhile in the desert, Richard and Skarmory were having a fight with themselves. "Still…? After all this, we still don't have enough…? Do we still need more power?" Richard asked himself. (How much more do we need?) Skarmory asked with a female voice. (A lot more.) Skarmory said with a male voice. "So that... we can… achieve our… goals?" RIchard asked. (Yes.) Skarmory said to Richard with a male voice. "Who… are you two?" Richard asked themselves. (We're your friends.) Skarmory said with a male voice.

"At this rate I might hurt Asbel, William, Sophie, and Swampert." Richard said. (Yeah we want to protect them, we want to save them.) Skarmory said with a female voice. "Why would you care about them, they are a treat to us all. Isn't that right Lambda?) Skarmory asked Richard with a male voice. Then everything went silent for a few seconds. "No… they haven't betrayed me… they're my friends. Friends." Richard said. (There has to be a better way.) Skarmory said with a female voice, as Richard and Skarmory were riving in pain and screaming.
