Chapter 18
The Man Known as, Carnage!
In an airport in Japan, Joichiro Yukihira has returned as he smug to see how far Saiba's skills have gotten since enrolling.
Over at the resort, the time has come for those that survive the training camp from hell to head back to Totsuki Academy. Many have been scarred for life by what they've been through, but it was all worth it in order to pursue their careers as chefs. All the buses for both students and guests are ready to go.
The PA announces, "Attention all students, please collect your luggage and board your assign buses. Be sure to return your room keys to the front desk and please double check you left nothing behind."
All the students are already packed and ready while returning their room keys. Same with the Polar Star Dorm students.
"Yes!" Yuki stretches and glad it's all over, "Finally! It's all done!"
Shun states, "And all of us managed to make it out."
Shoji and Daigo are walking with their arms on each other's shoulders with Shoji going, "Yeah."
Before Daigo says, "Totally."
"It was almost seem like it was over before it started." Megumi reflects on the amount of time passed.
Ryoko and Yuki look back at Megumi as Ryoko agrees, "True enough. It sure was tough though."
"Got that right!" Yuki agrees as well.
Saiba asks Zenji, "How're you holding up, Zenji?"
Zenji pushes his glasses, "Since it's all over, I'm glad I can finally get some sleep without nearly passing out while working on making dishes."
"You should try to get your stamina." Saiba makes a suggestion, "I know you're frail an everything, but you should work on that."
Daigo and Shoji stopped as they turn to face Saiba.
Daigo says, "But finding out that your some beat dude was the biggest surprise!"
"Totally, my man!" Shoji agrees, "Can't believe that you're a fox dude, dude."
Saiba rubs the back of his head and laughs till he sees Kojiro pulling his luggage and ready to head back to France.
"Hey! Chef Kojiro Shinomiya!" Saiba shouts as he approaches.
Kojiro stops and turn to see Saiba and Megumi approaching him. He smiles, "So you both made it, huh?"
Saiba giggles, "You bet! It will take a lot more than this training camp to take me down. Believe it!"
Kojiro jokes, "Settle down, Naruto."
"Huh?" Saiba doesn't understand the reference, "Who's Naruto?"
Megumi notices his luggage, "Chef Kojiro, take it you're already heading back to France?"
"Yeah. I can't keep my restaurant close forever, you know. Also, thanks to the Food War, I may have a better understanding on foods from another world. Now though, I'm gonna aim higher. Next time you hear from me, I'll have the famous spot in Paris, and it'll have three stars. I have so much I wanna do and a lot more to learn. It's gotten to where the Pluspol award just isn't enough anymore. You know what I mean?"
Saiba tilt his head slightly to the left, "Three stars?"
"No way!" Megumi is surprised, "No Japanese chef working in France has ever been awarded three stars before!"
"Not yet."
But that is when Hinako comes charging right at him, screaming, "No no NOOOO!"
Much to Kojiro's irritation.
That is when Hinako scolds him, "I will not let YOU LEAVE US ALL FOR FRANCE AGAIN!"
Kojiro looks away, "What 're you talking about, you insane woman?"
Fuyumi approaches Saiba, "Hey listen here kid? Are you interested in Italian cooking?"
Hinako pushes Fuyumi aside, "No way, Fuyumi!" and holds Saiba tightly, "Saiba is gonna work for my restaurant as a mascot! He's cute and fluffy and-"
Saiba gets annoyed so he grabs her by the face and lifts her a few inches off the ground. That is when he realizes why Kojiro does it so much.
Gin approaches with his sous-chef, "Well, I see they've gotten to you already."
Hinako then hugs Megumi really tightly despite having a hand print on her face.
Megumi panics, "Chef Dojima! What's going on?!"
Gin explains, "This is part of your assessment."
Megumi has a pink question mark that pops up every few seconds with the word assessment over her, "What assessment?"
"This training camp also allows us to recruit some new personal after they graduated from Totsuki Academy."
Hiromi further explains, "Some form of graduates will take time off from their restaurants and come to work as sous chefs. Adding to their skill set. This serves as a place where chefs can recruit new talent."
Kojiro ties up Hinako and duct tape her mouth as some members of Polar Star are a little freaked out as Hiromi continues.
"Finding promising chefs is not an easy task, so this is a good way to search."
Saiba gets it, "Ooooh. I think I got whatch' sayin'."
But poor Megumi is still confuse as more question marks appear on her head.
"Is that what the training camp is about all along?" Ryoko questions the purpose of the training camp.
"Check it out." Yuki tells everyone to look at Megumi, "Megumi still doesn't get why those chefs are trying to recruit her."
All members of Polar star nod their heads.
Hiromi then tries to recruit Saiba, "You know, Saiba, you can find your place working at the Resort. You're welcome here anytime."
Saiba does a respectful bow, "I am honored to hear that." he stands up straight, "But I got Yuki-Neko to look after. However, I am working on a huge goal. That goal is: Making dishes that surpass the ingredients of the new continent."
"Now that is one ambitious goal." Gin commented, "I'm guessing it has something to do with your mother."
"It is." Saiba looks serious, "My dad already lost one family, and I wanna make sure he doesn't lose it again." Yet he does a respectful bow to Gin, "And thank you, Uncle Gin."
Gin became baffled and started to blush, "Uncle Gin?!"
"Well, you are the best friend of my dad, so I would call you uncle."
Fuyumi looks away while silently giggling.
"You cut that out, Chef Mizuhara!" Gin yells at Fuyumi while still blushing.
Kojiro looks away as he tries to hold in his laughter.
"You too, Chef Shinomiya!"
"I'm not...laughing..."
Gin starts to look serious, "Then look at me in the eye."
"I'm good."
Some of the Polar Star students look away and try not to laugh
Gin calms down and continues to speak to Saiba, "Anyway, I'll tell my dad you say 'hi' when I see him."
"I like that. And tell him to call me more often."
Saiba laughs a little, "I will."
With that said, everyone head towards their assign buses to head back to Totsuki Academy as the nightmare known as, 'The Training Camp From Hell', is over and done with. Many walk out with a bit of pride that they made it so far and are gonna take more classes despite the fact they are oblivious to the upcoming event in autumn. As Saiba and Megumi say their farewell to the alums, Hinako finally broke free from her bondage.
"Hey, Kojiro. You're really going for three stars?"
"Well somebody has to."
Hinako points at herself, "Wouldn't you say I go over there and help you accomplish that goal."
"Yeah, works for me. I could use a new busboy to help mop up." Kojiro is obviously joking.
"What? HEY!?"
As Gin watches the Polar Star students leave, he notices that Saiba is walking the same way as Joichiro, with his bag behind his back. He reminisce about how Joichiro walked out of Totsuki before exploring the world.
"Chef Dojima?" Hiromi asks, "Is everything alright?"
Gin just smiles, "Just remembering something from my youth."
Outside everyone load-up their luggage and get ready to make the trip back to Totsuki Academy. Before boarding, Megumi has something to say to Saiba.
"Thanks for all of your help. Guess I'll see you back at the dorm."
"You got it!"
As Megumi boards, Saiba notices that something is missing.
"Ah crap! I forgot my headband!"
Saiba runs back at the resort to go and pick it up. While doing so, Erina has also forgot something.
"What, you forgot something?!" asks the worried Hisako. "But we're just about to leave. I'll go get it for you."
Erina looks back, "It's not a problem. I'll get it myself. Oh, and I'll find my own way back at the academy. Can you be a doll and take my luggage for me, thank you~."
"Uh, o-okay."
Saiba came back out with his headband now wrapped around his right hand.
"Whew." he is relieved to get it back before the buses leave. "That was too close." He boards the bus he thought is the right one, but much to its surprise, it is not as it is filled with old people. "Ah crap! I'm on the wrong bus!"
Note: When several express buses are gathered together, it is quite easy to get confused. When leaving, please be sure to remember the vehicle number and where it is parked.
"Oh." Tokuzo, the Egg Man, recognizes Saiba, "You're the one who made those egg tempura bowls and souffle omelettes."
"And you're the Egg Man." Saiba recognizes him.
"Those omelettes were very delicious, but the egg tempura was pure genius. How you managed to make those was extraordinary. Especially when frying them and making sure the yolk is smooth is incredible."
Green Bean Kosuke says, "Those fried shinso leaves of the egg tempura bowl were good, but I prefer the tomato sauce."
Natural Cheese Kyusaku says to the two, "Come on now, both were really good." But looks at Saiba, "Young man, I hope you will be using my cheese in the restaurant you'll own someday."
"Don't forget my green beans!"
"Make sure you use Tokuzo brand eggs, okay?"
Some of the other elderly try to offer him some rice crackers or candy while complimenting him on the dishes he made.
"Thank you but, I really need to find my bus!" Saiba steps out and tries to look for his assigned bus. 'Let's see.' He tries tracking it down by smelling, 'No good. There all sorts of smells muddled together. Making it harder to find.' His ears twitch, 'And trying to listen in to anyone on my bus is impossible with all this noise!'
Saiba tries desperately to look for his bus, but no luck. For someone who had to hunt, he is not very good at navigating a parking lot. All the buses left, leaving Saiba behind.
Saiba's left eye started to twitch as a breeze blow in, 'They left me.' He is both upset and down about it, 'I went through that training camp from hell, only to be left behind.' But shakes it off, 'Okay. I haven't done long distance sprinting in a while. Just hope I can get there without being worn out again.'
Before he tries to move at super speed, Erina comes running out with her bag in a hurry. He turns around and sees her.
"Saiba?!" Erina is shocked, "Did you miss the bus, too!?"
Saiba is terrified, 'Ah hell! It just had to be her of all people!'
A woman in black comes running out, "Miss Erina! We were able to arrange a car for you. Luckily, there is still one left in the parking garage. Oh!" She notices Saiba, "Did you miss the bus as well young...um...man?"
Saiba turns back around, "Don't worry! I can find my own way back to-"
Erina grabs Saiba by his shoulders while squeezing very tight. She has that look where she is smiling but has more darker motives.
"Come on now, darling~." Erina sounds loving, but Saiba is more scared, "We can go in the car together. This must be fate for the two of us to get to know each other before our wedding."
"Sorry, but car travel makes me sick so- Gah!"
The bones in his shoulders are starting to snap, causing Saiba a lot of pain.
"Come on now~. There is nothing wrong with the two of us being alone together in the back seat."
"But I would like to- OW!" More bones are being snapped. "Okay okay! I'll go I'll go!"
Erina hugs him very tight, "I'm glad we can see eye-to-eye. Or rather, heart-to-heart."
Both of them are riding back seat in the car as they are taken back to Totsuki Academy. However, Saiba is looking green. It might be for the fact that Erina is holding him tight or from his motion sickness.
Erina snuggles, "You're so fluffy. I hope you make it to the Fall Selection."
Saiba tries to remember, "Oh yeah. I heard about that. It is a festival where a chosen few who have been selected to battle for those that the guys in suits decided who has a greater chance at being in the Council of Ten. Am I right?"
"Close. Almost on the mark." Erina is impressed by how knowledgeable Saiba is about the Fall Selection, "Just who told you about it? Was it Isshiki?"
Saiba is feeling super unwell where all he did was shake his head.
"Then who?"
Saiba is on the verge of puking as he shouts, "STOP THE CAR!"
The car comes to a screeching halt right before Saiba can get out and vomits over the railing. After vomiting twice, he gets back into the car.
"Okay." he says in a weak tone, "Let's go."
Erina is shocked, "You really do get motion sickness."
The driver then proceed the drive back to Totsuki.
"Hey." he says to Erina, "I'm gonna go to sleep until we get back to the dorm. Please don't disturb me for a while. Okay?"
Erina understands and give him a nod.
"Thank you." Saiba then tries to sleep through the trip to avoid getting motion sickness again.
As he falls asleep, Erina pets Saiba's right ear, "There, there." She gives a gentle smile, an actual gentle smile, "Sleep it off, my prince from another world."
Over at Polar Star, Fumiyo cleans the dorm before the others get back.
She vacuums the main hall while singing, "Back and forth, back and forth. Clean, clean, spick and spam. Doopty-doo." She takes a break, "Whoo. Training camp should be over soon. It's nice to have things perk-up again around here."
DING-DONG! The doorbell rang.
"Hmm?" She went. It is too early for everyone to come back.
She opens the door, "You kids certainly got back faster than I thou-" She takes a good look and realize that it is Joichiro, not the students. This was a surprise for her. "Honestly, if you were going to show up, you could've at least called before gracing me with your presence. Still no common sense, eh boy?"
"Well, I found myself in the area. I'm back."
It is now sunset over the Polar Star Dorm as everyone has returned.
"We're back!" Saiba shouts.
Everyone of Polar Star has returned and are glad to make it back. Plus, Isshiki is naked with nothing but an apron as Hisako tries to stand clear of the weirdo. Erina is holding tightly to Saiba's left arm as they all make their way to the kitchen.
"Saiba, did you really come back in one of the hotel limos?" Isshiki asks.
"Unfortunately." he sounds rather pessimistic as his arm feels like its in a vice. "I would rather have sprinted the whole way back, but a certain someone was insistent."
"Must be nice being treated like a VIP." Yuki jokes.
"No." Saiba gives a blunt answer, "It wasn't." Yet while walking down the halls, Saiba picked up a familiar scent.
Erina says, "Come on now. It can't have been all that bad. Despite the motion sickness."
"Anyway, for what it's worth, I'm glad you all made it home in one piece."
As the approach to the entry way to the mess hall, Fumiyo is standing right at the doorway which everyone stops.
"I'm sure that you're all exhausted." Fumiyo says to the group, "So for tonight; you're all going to be treated to a feast."
Everyone cheered for a feast in celebration of surviving the training camp from hell and made it back to Totsuki.
Shoji and Daigo give each other a high five before standing cheek to cheek.
"Bring it on!"
"Yeah! It's been a while since you cooked for us."
"Oh no." Fumiyo says, "I'm not the one who is doing the cooking."
"Huh?" everyone went and wonder who is doing the cooking.
Yet Saiba smells something familiar in the air again. He now recognizes the scent despite being distorted by meat being cooked.
He smiles, "I thought so."
Everyone headed over to the kitchen and see Joichiro Yukihira cooking a huge thing of meat in a pan. Erina takes a deep gasp when he recognizes him
"Hey, Saiba. Welcome back."
"Hey, dad. Been a while."
"Huh?" Erina look back at Saiba, "Wait, Joichiro Saiba is..." then she looks back at Joichiro, "Then that would mean that..." then back at Saiba, "Yet that means..." Erina's eyes widen with shock. "That means that...Joichiro is your..." Upon realizing this, Erina's jaw dropped all the way down to the floor and become white as a ghost from shock.
"THAT'S YOUR FATHER?!" everyone but Isshiki asks as they are just as shocked, "THE FORMER NUMBER 2 SEAT OF THE TEN?!"
Saiba sighs, "Yep. That's my father. The man I told you all about."
Fumiyo smiles, "I thought so. Guess the apple doesn't fa- Oh?" Fumiyo looks at Saiba's new form. "What happened to you, Saiba? When did you get traits of a fox?"
Joichiro looks at his son and notices. "What happened?"
Saiba rubs the back of his head, "Sorry, my necklace broke."
"You're kidding?!" Joichiro panics, "If your mother ever finds out, she'll kill you! She spent months working on that necklace in case you ever made it to this world, and now you're telling me that its broken!?"
Saiba holds up the necklace, "Yeah, the metal bindy things broke."
"Oh boy."
But Saiba smells something, "Dad, you're meat is gonna burn!"
Joichiro looks back at the stove, "GAAH! Ah crap!" He tries to make sure it doesn't, "We'll talk about it later! Right now my boy, please help me!"
Over at the mess hall, Erina is sitting in a chair and tries to process everything with Hisako giving her a cup of tea that is meant to calm her nerves.
Erina says to herself with dead eyes, "Saiba is Joichiro's son. The boy I want to marry is Joichiro's son. If I marry him, that means Joichiro will be my father-in-law. The man I admire is gonna be my father-in-law. Joichrio Saiba, the Wandering Chef, is Saiba's father. Ehehehehehe." She make a dead laugh at the end as she becomes pale to the point where she's almost white.
Hisako is creeped out, "Oh my gosh! Miss Erina is all flustered!"
Ryoko says, "Saiba is Mr. Yukihira's dad alright. There's no doubt about that."
"What's with the 'Wandering Chef' part?"
Isshiki explains, "Allow me to explain. He's a chef that has traveled far and wide improving himself among the famous restaurants across the globe. But one day, he suddenly disappeared from the culinary world. To those in the know; he's a legend. To be honest, I never thought he would appear in the Special Region of all places and have a half-breed child. From what I read in the old documents, he's infamous for nearly winning every Food War alongside Gin Dojima, the former 1st Seat of the Ten. The two of them brought the Golden Age of Polar Star."
"BOTH OF THEM USED TO BE RESIDENCE HERE AT POLAR STAR!?" many asked.
"Why yes." Isshiki just answers with a straight face, "They both were."
Yuki's head is starting to steam after trying to process the new info.
Hisako asks, "Wait a minute. If his name is Joichiro Saiba, why did he changed his name? Why is it Yukihira?
Saiba sets the table, "Because he married into the Yukihira family on this side of the portal because you have to marry into the family in order to inherit their restaurant." Saiba sounds very serious. "However, his wife and unborn child died in a traffic accident. He suffered from heartache and depression on that day to the point where he stopped cooking altogether." He stops midway, "Yet an old colleague of his, Mr. Yamagatai, came and help him get back on his feat as they both ended-up in the Special Region. And at that point is where he met my mother."
Saiba's right hand holding the kabobs started shaking.
"The primary reason why I'm here is so my father won't have to suffer the same thing and I want my mother to stay alive. Getting those ingredients from the New Continent is always treacherous and not many can make it out alive."
The plate started to crack.
Saiba snaps out of it and notice the crack, "Ah crap! I almost broke the plate."
After that scene, everyone got around and celebrate.
"Dig in everyone!" Saiba announces.
AN: Okay, I'm cutting corners again. Sorry, but I would like to finish this.
They all start trying the food Joichiro made with some help from Saiba. The girls try out the lamb with harissa and are transported to an Arabian landscape where they dress is women's Arabian attire while being genies on a magic carpet. The boys tried out the Zuppa di Pesce, a Ligurian-style seafood dish. Megumi, Yuki and Ryoko say that Joichiro is like a 'real man' from rumors they hear about. Grown-up and handsome that pretty much any girl would fall for. They look at Saiba and wonder if he's gonna be the same. With girlish looks and animal features, he would be a lady killer. But he's too busy with his goals. Plus his dedication to ensure his family doesn't fall apart makes him even more of a man they say. But unfortunately, they have to get past Erina Nakiri since she calls dibs. They were downtrodden, but when they tasted Joichiro's food, they are re-energized by the cooking made by a chef with global experiences.
That is until Zenji tries out the snake dish Joichiro made that isn't very good at all. Saiba takes fifteen steps back away from the dish. Joichiro tries egging Saiba on to eat it, but he refuse. After what he's been through, who wouldn't back away. But Joichiro tease him to the point where Saiba just shove a piece of snake into his father's mouth.
Saiba says in a serious manner, "Get someone else to be your guinea pig."
Fumiyo giggles, "At least Saiba isn't like his father. Joichiro loves his bizarre and unsightly foods and always have been. But thankfully his son isn't the same."
"Hmm?" Saiba turns his attention at Fumiyo while Joichiro still has the snake in his mouth.
Fumiyo speaks as she stands, "He was the man they called, 'Carnage', after all. But now he seem to have become quite contempt with making considerate dishes."
"Carnage?" Saiba speaks as he drops the snake meat.
"I remember reading that!" Hisako says, "He got that nickname after facing against 100 students in a Regimental Food War all by himself and won!"
"Whoa!" Yuki is impressed, "He won against 100 students by himself?!"
"Amazing." Megumi is amazed.
Joichiro wiped his mouth after finally having the snake out, "Well, I was considered a genius back then and many students got jealous. So I took them on and proved myself."
Saiba says, "And that is when you started to go into a slump and shutdown from cooking."
Erina asks, "What happened?"
Fumiyo and Joichiro start from the beginning. The Golden Age of Polar Star started with Joichiro Saiba and Gin Dojima as they win in countless Food Wars. Snatching up lands, expanding the grounds, contributing funds to improving the dorm's kitchen, securing supply routes and paid for it with their own strengths to a point where they almost formed an independent country. Everything they have now is from those days such as the fields, the malted rice area and the chicken coop. Fumiyo says that Gin always send a New Year's card or some sort of gift every now and then. She pretends that it doesn't bother her when Joichiro doesn't send any but now has a better understanding why. Joichiro's been living in another world. Although most of the students depict Gin as a loyal dog while Joichiro is a cat that just comes by every now and then. In other words, a stray cat. Then Joichiro explains that all of his successes were taking a toll on him. Every win he gets kept on putting pressure on him to perform even better until he had a nervous breakdown and gets swallowed up by the storm and never took part in BLUE, the biggest cooking competition in the world. Erina's grandfather, Senzaemon Nakiri, suggested that Joichiro he take a leave of absence to rediscover his passion for cooking. Never even graduated from Totsuki. Some point, he married a woman named, Tamako Yukihira; which he changed his family name, inherit the Yukihira Eatery and nearly formed a new family. That was until the car accident that took the life of Tamako and the unborn Soma. When that happened, Joichiro broke down again and shut down the restaurant for good. But one day, Tenshu Yamagati found him and tried to get him back on his feet and told him about a new restaurant he was going to open for the JSDF. At first, Joichiro had no idea what he was getting into until he made it through the other side of the portal. He made it to the Special Region. Not long after, he remarried and now has a new family with his wife, Yuki Yukihira, and his son, Saiba Yukihira.
"And that is the end of my story." Joichiro concluded.
Some of the students have tears under their eyes after hearing Joichiro nearly at the end of his rope until he managed to bounce back. Erina even runs up and gives Joichiro a hug.
"Whoa now!" Joichiro is surprised.
"I...I didn't know..." Erina starts sniffling.
Joichiro pets the top of her head, "Hey now. What's done is done. I'm happy with my new life. But I did learn something; life isn't always fair. Sometimes things can take an unexpected turn and you have to roll with the punches. Life will go on, with or without you. I've come to terms with that after coming to the Special Region."
Not long after, everyone head to bed while Joichiro and Saiba cleaned-up. Saiba cleans the pots and pans while his father wipes the counters.
"So dad." Saiba says in a less than chipper mood as he stops scrubbing.
"Yeah, son?"
"Do you truly believe in everything you said?"
Joichiro stops and looks at his son.
"I mean; what you said to Erina. Do you truly believe that."
Joichiro is a bit more serious now, "To be honest, half the time I do and half the time I don't. Life is always complicated like that. Why? Is it because you wanted to make sure our family doesn't fall apart?"
Saiba starts shaking, "It's just that...I don't think I can handle it... If something were to happen..."
Joichiro runs up to him, "Hey now." He turns Saiba over by the shoulder and see him crying. "Oh son."
Saiba just give his father a hug after dropping the pan and scrubber into the sink as tears started flowing.
Joichiro tries to comfort him, "Easy now, Saiba. I swear, you're just as emotional as your mother. How about once we're done, I can tell you about my experiences here in Totsuki? Will that cheer you up?"
Once they finished, Joichiro and Saiba sit in the back door steps as Joichiro tells him about how much fun being at Polar Star was. Saiba's tears started to dry up while Joichrio tells his tale and many of the other students that lived in the dorm. After that, they turned off the kitchen lights and head to bed.
Saiba holds up his room key, "Hey dad? Wanna crash in my room? It's the same one you were in."
Joichiro looks at the key Saiba is holding and sees 303 on it. He smiles out of nostalgia, "Did you find the stain where I dropped a pot of stew?"
Saiba grins, "Sure did."
"Actually, I'm gonna sleep in one of the vacant rooms tonight." He shouts to Fumiyo, "Hey, ma'! I need to borrow an empty room!"
"Okay!" she replies.
As he walk away, Joichiro completely forgot about the necklace he was supposed to help fix.
Saiba returned to his room and lies on his bed. He looks at the floor where the stain is where Joichiro dropped his stew pot he was working on.
"Hard to believe that this was my dad's room." he lies on his back and look at the ceiling, "This must be some weird coincidence or something else." He smiles, "I love being here in this academy. And this dorm."
Outside of Saiba's room, Erina is standing in front of the door.
Hisako approaches, "Miss Erina?"
"Huh? Oh, Hisako. I was planning on crashing with Saiba, but I think I should not." She walks away, "I'll leave him alone for the time being so he'll catch-up with his father."
Hisako smiles, "That is very wise." and follows Erina to bed.
The next morning, Saiba is awaken not by the morning sunlight nor a surprise visit from Erina. He is awaken by one of the speaker pipes with his dad's voice.
"Saiba." Joichiro tries to wake his son up, "Saiba!"
Saiba sit straight up, "I'm awake!"
"I'm in the kitchen right now. Come down here and bring your knife."
Saiba brings down his entire knife set to the kitchen and has an idea what is going on.
"Hey, there he is. You kept your knife good and sharp?"
Saiba smiles, "Of course. And I bet the real reason you came back is because of the score we still need to settle. Right?"
"Indeed. I wanna see how far you've come along...or how far you've fallen behind." Joichiro sounds serious as he emits a red hot aura. "Show me right here and now. I'd say it's been too long since we had a proper food battle." His half of the kitchen because furious red.
Saiba emits a blue fiery aura, "I'm gonna give you everything I got since I came here." His half of the kitchen because a cold blue.
The kitchen sparks with intensity between the two as they prepare for a food battle!
