The camera opens up on a shot of all the campers assembled at the campfire pit. Chris is standing in front of them all at his own podium.
"Today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills.", said Chris, looking out at the campers. "You will need to use these maps and compasses to find a hidden location in the woods."
He proceeded to throw two maps and compasses at their respective teams. Heather caught the Gophers', while Courtney and Eva both caught a corner of their map. They proceeded to fight over it, eventually tearing it in two.
"Nice going, lame brain.", said Courtney, causing Eva to growl. Meanwhile, Duncan rolled his eyes at the display.
(Duncan): Courtney and Eva's fighting is eventually going to cost us a challenge. Also, they are pretty powerful players in the game. Now's a good a time as any to throw them off the island before the inevitable merge. I just need a few more allies...
"At the location, you will find a campsite. You will have to gather your own food and sleep in the elements. First team to actually survive and make it to the campgrounds tomorrow morning wins the challenge.", continued Chris. "Good luck!"
The campers started to leave, only for Chris to say, "Oh, and watch out for bears. Lost a few interns that way."
"Um, did he say there are bears up in here?", said Leshawna, nervously.
"Oh, please, that's just to psych us out.", said Heather. "Don't be worried or anything lame like that, or you'll cost us the challenge."
Most of the campers still looked nervous, except for Justin. "I don't worry at all.", said Justin, holding up a mirror. "Causes premature wrinkling."
Most of the Gopher girls sigh as they swoon over Justin. Noah looks at Cody, and pretends to gag, only for Cody to glare at him and move away.
(Noah): Considering that everyone on my team likes grudges too much, I better start pulling my weight in challenges.
The camera cuts to the Bass walking through the woods. Courtney is in the lead, holding the two halves of their map.
"Do you even know where we are going?", said Duncan.
"Of course I do; I was a CIT!", said Courtney, then squints at the two halves. "Well, at least I think so..."
"I think you're holding one side upside down.", said Harold.
"Let me have a go!", said Eva, pushing Courtney down and taking the map. From the ground, Courtney growls.
(Courtney): Next time there's an elimination, Eva has got to go!
Further down the line of Bass, Geoff is trudging forward, barely making an effort. DJ walks up beside him.
"Yo, Geoff, why don't you tell me that funny story you were going to?", said DJ.
"I just don't feel like it today, bro.", said Geoff, walking further along.
(DJ): My man Geoff has been in a funky mood ever since Bridgette was voted off last week. I got to help him cheer up, or he's going to be like this the whole competition.
Meanwhile, at the back of the line, Katie and Sadie both notice a bush of berries. "Oh, Sadie, look, berries!"
"OMG, I love berries!"
Ezekiel, who's walking with Harold, looks back at the twosome. He walks back, and says, "Hey, you girls better hurry up, or your going to be lost."
"Um, we don't need a big, strong man to tell us what to do.", said Sadie, irritably.
"Yeah, spread your sexist ideals somewhere else.", said Katie.
"I'm just warning you, eh, in case you guys lose the... group!", said Ezekiel, turning to see that the group has indeed vanished.
"OMG, this is just like when we got lost at the mall, and our Mom's had to go to security to find us!", said Sadie, hugging Katie.
"Oh, they were so mad that day."
"Like, OMG, take a pill, we're fine."
Zoom in on Ezekiel's eye twitching.
(Ezekiel): Is this... normal girl behavior?
The scene cuts to the Gophers already at their campsite. Everyone is hard at work setting up the camp... except for Justin, who is leaning against a log, admiring himself in the mirror. Lindsay and Beth are both fanning him with ferns.
Heather walks up, and raises an eyebrow. "Justin, everyone else is helping. Why aren't you?"
"Oh, sorry, Heather, I'm just worried I'll break a nail or get some kind of scratch. You understand, right?" He flutters his eyes in a dreamy fashion, but Heather, and a nearby Leshawna, glares at him.
(Heather): Justin is dreamy to look at, but he's really starting to crease me.
The sound of a tent being set up distracts Heather long enough to see that Noah has assembled it.
"Wow, Noah, I've been trying for an hour to set up that tent.", said Heather, looking uncharacteristically impressed.
"Meh. My Mom made me be in the scouts when I was younger.", said Noah.
"Good work, string bean.", said Leshawna, as she and Heather walked away.
Cody soon walks up to Noah. "Thanks... you know, for setting up the tent. I just wanted to say that I still want to be friends, even after what you said about me and Gwen."
Noah takes Cody's procured hand.
The camera cuts to the Killer Bass making it to their campsite, dirty and disheveled. Without the help of the full map, they had wandered around in a general direction until reaching their site.
"I'll start the tent!", said Courtney and Eva at the same time, before glaring at one another.
Geoff, meanwhile, plopped down on a log, and began drawing on the ground with a stick. Duncan walked up from behind, and sees that it's a picture of Bridgette. He rolls his eyes.
(Duncan): I don't like comforting Geoff about Bridgette, but I need his vote when we have to get rid of either Courtney or Eva.
"Hey, you know, Bridgette would want you to go on and win this thing.", said Duncan, sitting down next to Geoff.
"You really think so?", said Geoff, hope creeping into his face.
"Um, yeah, sure, whatever...", said Duncan, clearly uncomfortable.
Harold soon walks up, looking off into the woods.
"What you looking for, bean pole?", said Duncan.
"I thought Ezekiel was right behind us, but he hasn't shown his face yet.", said Harold.
"For that matter, where are Katie and Sadie?", said a nearby DJ.
"I'm going to go look for them.", said Harold, picking up a flaming stick from the campfire. "They must've gotten lost."
"I'll check over here.", said DJ, walking in the other direction.
"Well, I'm staying...", began Duncan, before the sounds of Courtney and Eva bickering over the tent reaches his ears. "Uh, I'll come with you, Harold."
The scene cuts to Ezekiel, Katie, and Sadie walking through the woods. Katie and Sadie have begun bickering about got them lost, eventually devolving into pure insults.
"You're just mad that everyone thinks I'm prettier than you.", said Katie.
Sadie gasps. "I knew you thought that!"
"It's true; everyone thinks that."
Ezekiel, who's eye has been twitching non-stop, suddenly perks up. "Oh, look a cave.", said Zeke, pointing to said edifice. "We can sleep in there for the night. Sleep immediately!"
The camera cuts to Duncan and Harold walking through the woods, by the light of their respective torches.
"So, hypothetically speaking, you would say that Eva and Courtney are annoying, right?", said Duncan, as casually as he could muster.
"Gosh, yes!", said Harold. "They fight so much, it's like we're in Malcolm in the Middle."
Duncan has a blank face at this remark.
"Malcolm in the Middle?", said Harold. "You know, where all the family does is bicker with each other?"
"Must have been before my time. The point is, the team needs them to be gone if we're going to win challenges."
"What are you proposing?", said Harold.
"Enter into an alliance with me, you and Ezekiel, and we can take two of the strongest players down."
Harold scratches his chin. "OK, deal.", he said, shaking Duncan's proffered hand.
The camera cuts to morning, where a montage of both teams waking up, yawning, and stretching occur. Ezekiel, Katie, and Sadie also wake up in their cave, only for growling to be heard. They soon rush out of the cave, followed closely by a bear.
Cut to Chris at the campfire pit, stoking a dying fire, when the Bass rush into the pit. "We... we made it!", said Courtney.
"Not so fast, Killer Bass.", said Chris. "It seems your missing... three players than you usually have."
"Oh, you mean homeschool and the Tweedles? We're pretty sure they got eaten by wolves last night.", said Courtney.
"Darn shame.", said Duncan, causing Harold to glare at him.
The Gophers soon arrive as well.
"Oh, they beat us!", scoffed Heather.
"Actually, the Bass hasn't won yet, and neither have you, Gophers. You're both missing players.", said Chris.
"Who?", said Gwen, as Heather said dangerously, "Justin."
Cut to Justin being carried by Lindsay and Beth through the woods. "Sorry, girls, I just don't want to damage these sweet feet with any rocks. You understand, right?"
The camera than cuts to a montage of each team looking worried, as Lindsay, Beth, Zeke, Katie, and Sadie runs through the woods.
Finally, Katie, Sadie, and Ezekiel make it to camp. "And the Bass wins the game!", said Chris, causing said team to cheer.
Lindsay and Beth, still carrying Justin, arrive as well. "Oh, did we lose?", said Justin, a little too casually, as the rest of the team glares. Even Lindsay and Beth seem fed up, as they drop him on the ground.
Meanwhile, as the rest of the team leaves, Katie and Sadie stay behind with Ezekiel.
"Oh, Katie, I'm sorry I called you all those mean things.", said Sadie.
"And I'm sorry I thought mean things about you.", said Katie.
"Oh, let's be friends forever again." The duo hugs, as Ezekiel tries sliding away.
Unfortunately, for him at least, the best friends pull him into a painful hug as well.
Cut to late that night at the campfire ceremony. Noah and Justin are patiently waiting for their marshmallow, both looking confident about it.
"The final marshmallow of the evening goes to..."
...Noah!", said Chris, tossing the white treat to the high IQ.
"What?", said Justin. "You guys kept this unattractive nerd over me?"
Cut to the dock of shame, where most of the girls of the camp have shown up to see the hottie away. "Just so you know, this show just got 100% less beautiful!", said Justin as he clambers on board.
