The camera opened up exactly where the last chapter ended: with the Screaming Gophers sitting around the campfire pit, looking despondent at their latest loss.

"Aw, I really miss Jake already.", said Lindsay. "He was, like, the hottest guy here!"

Heather, however, scoffed. "We all voted for him, nimrod. Besides, we're better off without him. All he did was fawn over himself over a mirror, even if he did look incredible while doing it."

A branch snaps from offscreen, and the Gophers all jump.

"Was... was that a bear?", said Beth

"Bears wouldn't come down into the camp.", said Leshawna, though even she looked nervous.

"Who's there?", called out Cody, in a squeaky voice. He caught sight of Gwen, then said in a manlier voice, "Um, I mean, who goes there?"

"We heard you the first time.", said Courtney, irritably, as the nine members of the Killer Bass walk up.

"What are you guys doing here?", said Trent.

"Come to gloat about your most recent win?", said Heather.

"We just had leftovers from the tuck shop, eh?", said Ezekiel. "We thought you might like some."

The Gophers looked unconvinced.

"OK, we just had some green Jell-O, and Courtney convinced us to give it to you, for some reason.", said Harold.

"It was really more a team decision.", said Courtney, as she gave the Jell-O to Noah as quickly as she could. This had the unintended effect of splashing some of the jelly onto his face. "Gee, thanks.", snarked Noah.

Meanwhile, Eva watched Courtney's reaction to the jelly with interest.

(Gwen): So, the Killer Bass sat with us for most of the night. Even I have to admit, it was kind of fun. We talked and laughed at these really corny jokes, but on the whole it was a good night.

The camera cut to morning, as both teams were sitting in the mess hall, eating their gruel. This morning, however, the two teams were gladly talking and horsing around with each other, instead of just restricting themselves to their own team.

Chris walked into the mess hall, and gave his patent-pending smile to the teens. "Campers, we've decided to forego your three-day rest period in order to start your challenge today. We will be doing a little thing I like to call, 'Phobia Factor'."

Duncan scoffed. "Original much."

"Gosh, if your going to blatantly plagiarize Fear Factor, you could at least be more subtle about it.", said Harold.

"We've scrounged through your personal history and records to find your own deepest, darkest, most personal fears, which you will have to face today.", continued Chris, ignoring Duncan and Harold.

"Oh, please, like we actually had that written on our public records.", said Heather, taking a big, glass of water.

"Funny you should say that, Heather. You're up first in the Amphitheater. Bring your A-game, because it's sumo time!", said Chris., causing Heather to spit out the water she was drinking onto Trent.

"I can only assume that's your darkest fear.", deadpanned Trent.

"Seriously, sumo wrestlers.", said a snickering Gwen, next to an also laughing Leshawna.

"Shut up, weird goth girl.", said Heather, before turning to Chris. "Where did you even get that?"

"Oh, we have our ways.", said Chris. "Now, finish up breakfast quickly. Every camper has to be at each fear fought."

The camera cuts to a kiddie swimming pool, filled with real, live worms. Chris walks up to Beth, and says, "Beth, to earn your team one point, you will need to completely submerge yourself in these bugs for fifteen seconds."

Beth shrugged, unexpectedly nonchalant, and dived into the pool. After the required amount of time, she pops back up.

Cut to Katie and Sadie inside the mess hall, where Chris holds up two wigs in the shape of outdated mullets. "Because you two apparently share a brain, your fear is having a bad haircut for a day. You two take these off, and you will lose your team a point."

Chris then placed the wigs on both the wonder twin's heads. He then turned to a nervous Lindsay in the doorway. "Lindsay, time to head to the minefield."

Lindsay runs away screaming.

Cut to Lindsay in a gated minefield, hugging the fence. "Is it too late to change my fear to bad haircuts?", she said.

Chris laughs. "Ha-ha, no."

Lindsay begins making her way across the minefield, wobbly and off balance.

Chef walks up next to Chris, causing the latter to say, "I bet ten dollars she doesn't make it."

A loud boom sounds off, followed by a bright flash of light and Lindsay's screaming. "Make that twenty."

Cut to Ezekiel seated on a fence, looking nervously inside a pen. Chris walks up, and says, "Zeke, all you have to do is step into the pen with him."

The camera pans out to show a wild boar in the pen.

(Ezekiel): When I was a kid, my parents showed me the movie Ol' Yeller. It was one of the only films we had, and the part that freaked me out the most was when the boy fell into the boar pit.

Ezekiel gulps, and steps into the pen. The boar immediately charges up to him, causing Ezekiel to run around the pit. Finally, Zeke dodges the boar, causing the latter to hit the opposing fence, knocking itself out. The Bass all cheer, as Chris holds up Zeke's arm.

Everyone is soon shown at the amphitheater, where the curtain pulls back to show Eva in front of a microphone. In the audience, Chris addresses the camera, "Ironic for such a loud competitor, but Eva's big fear is public speaking."

Eva taps on the microphone nervously, and shuffles the speech notes she had been given.

"Come on, do something!", said Courtney, folding her arms. At Courtney's outburst, a vein goes off in Eva's forehead. She then recites the speech, keeping her eyes closed the entire time, until she takes a deep breath at the end.

The Bass all cheer, except for Courtney, who looks mad.

(Courtney): When will Eva mess up, and get herself kicked off? I really need her out of my way in the leadership department.

Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Harold steps out of his stall, only to run into black-clad ninjas descending from ropes attached to the ceiling. Harold is momentarily shocked, only to narrow his eyes and take out a pair of num-chuks. He swings them around in front of the shocked ninjas... only to hit himself in the head. He immediately fall back into the toilet.

Cut to the beach, where Chris is tallying up on a clipboard. "Leshawna and Heather have both failed and succeeded at their respective challenges, so now we come to Gwen." The camera pans down to show Gwen in a class coffin in a hole in the sand. Trent is kneeling beside the hole.

"Whatever you do, don't panic.", said Trent. "It'll be just fifteen minutes under the sand." The cool guy bent down to close the slide in the coffin. "Goodbye, cruel world!", joked Gwen, as the sand began to be shoveled down into the pit.

After DJ completed his test with the world's smallest, most innocent looking snake, Trent was still at the lakeside, comforting Gwen.

"Just hold on out.", said Trent. "You've only got five minutes left."

"I need to keep my mind occupied.", said Gwen in a rush. "What's your biggest fear?"

Trent suddenly looked nervous. "It's, uh, it's... tanks! Yeah, that's right!"

"Tanks? Why do you hate tanks?"

No answer.

"Trent? Trent?!", yelled Gwen, as Trent was petrified with fright at the sight of a mime copying him.

Trent suddenly screamed, and ran off, followed closely by the mime.

Trent runs all around camp, until he reaches the dock. He proceeds to jump into the water, as the mime watches him. "What's the matter mime? Can't swim?"

The mime does indeed prepare to jump in, until Trent says, "Wait, you'll make you make-up run!"

The mime nods in understanding and walks off, causing Trent to cheer.

Fifteen minutes later, Trent walks up to Chris while drying himself off. He watches as Chris continually pelts Geoff with hail stones.

"So, Geoff's biggest fear is hailstorms?", said Trent, before getting a devilish smirk. "Can you make the cloud go lower, and pelt him harder?"

"You are twisted, man.", said Chris. "But, yeah..."

Suddenly, a loud boom echoes throughout the camp, "What was that?", said Trent.

"If I had to take a guess, I'd say Cody just failed his live bomb test.", said Chris.

The camera cuts to the end of the day, where Noah and Courtney are standing in front of Chris. "You two are the only ones who haven't faced your fears. Which is, quite frankly, because we couldn't find a fear for either of you."

Noah and Courtney's proud smiles disappear, when Chris continues with, "Because of that, I'm making my position as host to count them as fears not faced, and take a point from each team."

"What?", said Noah.

"You can't do that!", said Courtney.

"Them's the rules.", said Chris. "Which means that the winners are..."

Eva suddenly grabs Chris' arm, and whispers in his ear.

"We have some news. It appears that Courtney wasn't as good at hiding her biggest fear as we thought. Her biggest fear is... green Jell-O!"

"What?! No... No it's not.", said Courtney, nervously.

"What does it matter if Courtney doesn't face her fear?", said Noah. "Her team is still going to win."

"That's true, so let's make this interesting.", said Chris. "If Courtney fails to complete the final phobia challenge, I'll give the Screaming Gophers enough points to win the challenge."

Cut to a large, wooden basin of green jelly, with a diving board suspended above. Courtney looks at the contraption with wide-eyes.

She walks towards the ladder, and begins climbing up.

"Ugh.", said Gwen. "It's probably all gross and moist from sitting out in the sun all day."

"I know what you're doing, and it's not going to work.", said Courtney, more to convince herself, then the rest.

She eventually makes it to the top, and looks down.

"C'mon, Courtney, like you said, it's OK if you can't do it.", yelled up Duncan.

"But we'll lose the challenge!", said Eva, grabbing Duncan's arms painfully.

Courtney continues to look down off the diving platform, before actually jumping off. She lands with a splat on the surface of the jelly. A pause, then she sinks into the green mush.

The Bass all cheer, except for Eva.

(Eva): When will Courtney mess up, and get herself kicked off. I need her out of the way in the leadership department.

(Courtney): (in the fetal position, whimpering and muttering)

Cut to late that night, where Chris is holding a plate of two marshmallows. "You three did not complete your phobia challenges, and thus were a major reason your team lost today."

The camera pans over Leshawna, Cody, and Noah. "The penultimate marshmallow goes to... Noah!"

"And the final marshmallow of the evening goes to...

... Cody!", said Chris.

Everyone gasps at this, except for a select few. Leshawna looks to be in deep shock.

"Yeah, I was shocked by that, and I knew the answer.", said Chris, handing his marshmallow to a shocked Cody.

The camera cuts to the boat of losers as it sails off from the island. Leshawna is moping on board, until she realizes she's sat in something. She pulls out a love note from under her posterior, and smiles.

Back on the Dock of Shame, Harold watches and sighs.

Meanwhile, in the background, Noah is shown sneaking around camp. He is eventually pulled behind the communal bathrooms by a shadowy figure.

"I saved your geeky friend from elimination.", said the figure. "Now, you just need to hold up your end of the bargain."

"I fully intend to.", said Noah.

"Good. Looks like we're alliance mates now.", said the figure, stepping out of the shadows to reveal Heather...
