Jayden walked up to the front door of his family home and rang the doorbell. He waited for a few seconds before the door opened and his mum stood on the other side.
"Jayden, it's lovely to see you but I thought you weren't coming till the weekend?" His mum said as she hugged her son.
"Well, I thought I would surprise you by coming back early. I don't have any classes tomorrow either," Jayden said as he entered the house.
"It's good to be home," Jayden added.
"I have a surprise for you," Jayden's Mum told him. "Come and I will show you."
Jayden's Mum went upstairs and stopped outside the spare room. She opened the door and allowed Jayden to walk in first.
The room had changed a lot since Jayden left for Uni a month ago. It had a bed, a desk, a wardrobe and some cool artwork.
"Do you like it? This is your room now," His Mum asked.
"I love it, thank you so much Mum," Jayden replied.
"I'm glad you like your room. Conner helped me with some of the colour matchings and he also chose the artwork," His Mum said. "I'll leave you to settle in and then we can catch up."
"Ok then," Jayden said.
Jayden put his bag on the bed and started to pull out some clothes and placed them in a pile on the floor. These were clothes that needed to be washed. He took them downstairs to the washbin.
After showering and putting on a change of clothes, Jayden found himself walking towards one of his favourite places to eat. His Mum said that she would treat them to an early dinner.
The restaurant was modern, with wooden tables and chairs. Across the back of the restaurant, there was a long sofa with a mirror and a door that lead to the toilets.
The walls had different pictures of places in Italy on them.
"How's Uni going?" Jayden's Mum asked.
"It's good. I've made some friends. They are on the same course as me and we spend time together. I don't really talk with the people in my flat. There are two boys and two girls. I think one of the girls used to go to the same school as me," Jayden said. "How's Conner?"
"Conner's good. He's looking forward to seeing you later," His Mum said. "I see that you're still wearing your Grandads wrist cuff."
"Yeah. I guess I like it and it reminds me of him" Jayden replied as he looked down at the miraculous that was on his wrist.
Jayden was about to continue his conversation when he noticed a bolt of lightning outside the restaurant. It was silver.
"Mum, did you see that?" Jayden asked.
"See what?" His Mum asked.
"The lightning" Jayden replied.
"I think you must be seeing things," His mum said.
The second time it happened, Jaydens' Mum pulled him under the table.
"It must be one of those supervillains. If we are careful, we could sneak out through the fire exit" Jayden's Mum told him.
Jayden and his mum managed to get out through the open fire exit and found themselves around the back of the restaurant. There were still other people in the restaurant and some of them didn't know what to do, others were just too scared to move.
"Mum, there's other people inside still. We can't leave them," Jayden said.
"Jayden, you're not going back in there until the heroes have fixed the problem. It's not safe," Jayden's mum said.
"I'm sorry but I can't do that" Jayden said as he ran off and hid behind a phone box.
"Well, that didn't take long. We've only been in the city for three hours, I guess Firefly wanted to throw a welcome home party," Mikko said from Jayden's pocket. "You know that you could transform and help them."
"Do you think that's wise? We are returning to Uni on Monday," Jayden said.
"It's your choice, you do what you think is right," Mikko said.
"Ok then. Let's do this. Mikki, spots appear" Jayden said, Mikko got pulled into the Wrist cuff turning Jayden into Leopard.
Felicity had just finished her last lesson of the day. She was looking forward to the following day as she would be going to the cinema with Ben. As she walked out of the school building, she noticed a lot of people walking in one direction.
"Excuse me. Do you know what's going on?" Felicity asked.
"It's another one of that Firefly's villains. This one seems dangerous. She has electric powers," A random person said.
Felicity looked around the area trying to find somewhere safe to transform.
After she transformed into Wolfette, Felicity started to look for signs of the dark firefly victim or her partner Tawny Owl. Eventually, she found the person under Fireflies influence. It was a lady with pale skin, black hair with yellow streaks, the hair is tied back in a ponytail, the end of the ponytail is shaped like a lightning bolt. Her outfit was a yellow and black dress with gold thunderbolts on it. In one of her hands, she had a silver whip. It was shorter than Felicity's.
"You know you don't have to do this" Felicity said as she landed on the ground.
"I should have been the one who got that job, Carlos should have given it to me. I'm the best agent. Now I'm going to show people what happens when they turn me down. No one turns down Electra."
Felicity wasn't expecting that from the villain, most of them demanded the miraculous. This villain seemed different and Felicity couldn't figure out what it was about her that her different.
She was targeting restaurants and bars.
"Don't worry, the people inside are safe. I made sure of it,"
Felicity turned around and saw Leopard.
"Leopard?" Felicity asked.
"Yes, it's me, I figured that you could use some help. Tawny Owl isn't here yet," Leopard replied.
Firefly watched through Electra's eyes.
"That annoying Leopard's back," Firefly noticed.
"Electra, bring me Leopard's Miraculous as well," Firefly said.
Felicity and Leopard dodged the whip the Electra tried to touch them with her whip. It wasn't easy to locate the item that the Firefly was in.
"It would be much easier if you gave me your miraculous," Electra told them.
"What does he want with the Leopard miraculous?" Felicity asked.
"Nothing but if it's gone then your owl friend will have to come out and play," Electra said.
Felicity knew that they wouldn't get anywhere like this so she took Leopard and pulled them up to a rooftop and out of sight from the villain.
Once they found somewhere safe Felicity stopped.
"What are we doing?" Leopard asked.
"We need to come up with a plan. I don't think Tawny is going to show so it's just the two of us. I don't think that we can take her on directly. We need to be smart" Felicity replied.
"Let me be the distraction then," Leopard said. "I keep Electra busy and you can get the bracelet from her wrist."
"The bracelet?" Felicity asked.
"She's wearing a skull bracelet. I think that's where the firefly is" Leopard replied.
"Of course. You're good at this," Felicity said.
"I do keep up with that girl's blog when I'm out of town," Leopard replied. "I don't want to miss the sweet romance between you and Tawny Owl."
"Yeah, can we save that convo for later," Felicity said. "Also, Tawny Owl and I are not together."
Felicity and Leopard located Electra near the road that leads to Trafalgar Square. The police had already arrived and shut the road off the traffic and told people to stay away. Some people stayed, wanting to risk their safety to get a view of the superheroes. Leopard made himself known first.
"Electra, how about a little game of tag," Leopard said.
Electra tried to touch Leopard with her whip but Leopard managed to dodge or put her off using her whip with his boomerang.
"Getting fed up yet?" Electra asked.
"No," Leopard said.
Felicity chose this moment to trip Electra up with her whip.
"That's cheating," Electra cried.
"The games over," Felicity said as she took the skull bracelet and broke it under her foot, realising the dark firefly.
"I free you from evil," Felicity said as she touched the dark firefly with her whip. The firefly turned to dust and everything that was damaged by Electra went back to normal.
In Electra's place stood a lady with dark green eyes, dark red hair and tanned skin.
"What happened?"
"Firefly turned you into one of his minions but it's over now and everything's ok," Felicity said. "What made you upset?"
"I didn't get the job that I wanted and I'd worked hard for it. I didn't know that my frustration would cause this much trouble."
"It's ok. It's not your fault. Firefly is the one to blame. He used you," Felicity said. "Do you need any help getting home?"
"No, thank you," The lady smiled at the two heroes and walked away, heading in the opposite direction of the news crews.
"Thank you for your help Leopard, I couldn't have done it without you," Felicity said. "Are you back for good now? We could use another team member?"
"No, I'm leaving again but I'm glad that I could help you today. See you around," Leopard said as he left. Felicity watched as he disappeared over the rooftops of London.
Jayden had just de-transformed his kwami Mikko hovered next to him.
"Do you know what Firefly wants with the Miraculous?" Jayden asked.
"I don't. I wish I did but I don't know," Mikko replied. "Does this mean that you're staying?"
"No, I'm still going back to Uni," Jayden said. "Mum would go mental about the thought of wasting all the money she helped save to pay for me to go. Speaking of Mum, I'd better find her before she starts worrying about me."
Jayden walked back towards the restaurant. He found his Mum walking in the opposite direction to him.
"Mum, are you ok?" Jayden asked.
"You scared me when you ran off. You might be an adult but you are still my child. Please don't do anything like that again," Jayden's Mum said as she hugged her son.
Note:
Electra is an OC Akuma suggested by LaViolaViolaRosa. I had fun using her. Jayden is now a recurring character and will be in other chapters.
I'm working on another Miraculous Fan Fic at the moment as well. It's called Blending in.
