Felicity had just finished school for the day and had started to make her way home. It was Monday and the last week of school before the Easter Holidays.
Felicity had to be home early as she was helping her Mum look after Jackie and Felix. Teddy would be there as well.
When Felicity got home, she went to her room to get changed. Her Kwami, Rikki flew out of her blazer pocket. Her cousins would be here soon.
"You're not going to tell Mia the truth are you?" Rikki asked. At school, Mia had shown Felicity her latest post on her blog. This weeks post was more theories on the powers that Wolfette and Tawny Owl had.
"If I told her the truth then it would put her in danger. I wouldn't do that to my friend or anyone else" Felicity said.
Felicity had just finished watching a film with her cousins and younger brother. Teddy had fallen asleep halfway through the film. Her cousins would be spending the night with them and Felicity's Mum would take them to school the following morning.
Felicity's Mum picked Teddy up and took him upstairs to bed, leaving Felicity with her cousins.
"Do we have to go to bed yet?" Felix asked.
"In a little while. It's a school night," Felicity replied.
"You don't have to go to bed," Felix said.
"I will be," Felicity told him. "Once you're in bed."
"It's not fair," Felix added. "I want to stay up."
"Nobody is staying up. We are all going to bed. Come on, let's go" Felicity said.
Felix finally agreed to get ready for bed. Jackie helped with convincing her brother as well.
In the Russo house, Ben had poured himself a glass of water to take to bed. He passed his father's office and saw the light on in the room.
"Goodnight Dad," Ben said.
"Good Night Ben," His Dad replied.
Ben returned to his room.
In an unknown location, Firefly stood in the light.
"A child that's afraid of the dark. Maybe it's time to add some light to his world," Firefly said as he tapped a firefly with his wand and sent it out.
Felicity had just gotten ready for bed. She had a reading book in her hand. The blonde-haired girl opened her book and started reading. As she turned the page, she noticed a bright light coming from the window. Felicity decided to open the blind, outside her window she saw lots of floating stars.
"That's not normal," Felicity thought to herself. "Maybe Mum knows something about this."
"Mum, do you know what's going on?" Felicity asked.
"People are saying that it's a supervillain," Her Mum said as she showed her a picture someone shared. "You're friend Mia posted it,"
"Oh, I'm sure that Wolfette and Tawny Owl will deal with the issue," Felicity said. "I'm going back to bed. Good Night Mum."
Felicity went back to her room and found her Kwami still asleep under a dolls blanket.
"Rikki, wake up. We have to transform," Felicity said. Rikki flew up to Felicity.
"Does Firefly not have a bedtime," Rikki complained.
"I don't think Firefly cares about the time of day," Felicity said.
"Rikki, Paws out."
Felicity transformed into Wolfette.
Ben had just started to fall asleep when he noticed a bright light coming from the window.
"What's going on?" Ben wondered. He walked over to the window and pulled the blind up. Outside he noticed several floating stars. The stars appeared to be coming from a nearby street.
"Oona, we should take care of this," Ben said.
"Just say the words," Oona told Ben.
"Oona, let's fly," Ben said as he transformed into Tawny Owl.
Felicity/Wolfette had just helped some people get to a safe place. She didn't know what the dark firefly victim was able to do. She noticed Mia hiding behind a signpost trying to film the event for her blog. Felicity wished that Mia wouldn't put herself in danger.
"You do know that it's still a few months till Christmas," Felicity said. "How about you turn that light down."
"I'm Shining Star and I'm going to make sure that no one has to be scared of the dark ever again," Shining Star said.
Felicity had a feeling that the dark firefly victim was a child. It explained the design as well. Shining Star had gold skin and wore a yellow outfit shaped like a star.
"It's ok to have fears but don't let Firefly control you," Tawny Owl said as he joined Felicity/Wolfette
Shining Star used his power to create more stars around him. The stars glowed and moved towards the heroes.
"It's so bright. It's going to be hard to find the object with the dark firefly in," Felicity said as she caught one of the larger stars with her whip and broke it before it could hit Mia. Seeing that it wasn't safe to film anymore, Mia ran away from the scene.
"It's probably in one of the stars." Tawny Owl said as he broke another star with his arrow.
"Yeah, but which on. There's too many" Felicity said as she caught a few more with her whip.
It was then that she heard the voices in her head given her hints.
"I know someone who can help us. I have to go," Felicity said.
Tawny Owl had a theory about where Wolfette was going but didn't say anything. He trusted her.
Felicity de-transformed a few streets away from Mr Lu's place. She didn't want to attract attention. Rikki hid in her pocket and Felicity gave him a biscuit.
When she arrived at Mr Lu's apartment, she knocked on the door and a few seconds later it opened.
"Felicity, you know you're not supposed to come here without warning, especially when Firefly's got a minion out there," Flynn said.
"Let her talk, Flynn" Mr Lu said.
"I used my other hidden ability, the one that allows me to see things around me that might help or give hints on how to defeat the villain. I think it was telling me that I should come here" Felicity said.
"Firefly's getting stronger. You need some help this time but I'm not sure if it's safe," Mr Lu told Felicity. "I've already taken a big risk with the owl and the wolf miraculous."
"You were right to do it as well. You could have taken my miraculous from me but you didn't. That means that you trust me," Felicity said.
Mr Lu went to the place where he kept the miraculous.
He placed them in front of Felicity.
"Felicity, you need to choose a miraculous to give to someone you trust. They will fight alongside you on this mission. Once the job is done you will get the miraculous back from them and return it to me," Mr Lu said.
Felicity looked at the miraculous in the box. Mr Lu had taught her what powers and animals they represented
She took a hair clip that was shaped liked a raven's feather.
"Do you have someone in mind?" Mr Lu asked.
"I know just the right person," Felicity said as she took the miraculous and left Mr Lu's.
After leaving Mr Lu's apartment, Felicity transformed into Wolfette. She knew that Mia wouldn't be far away from where the action was taking place. Felicity found Mia and took her to an area that wasn't full of people.
"Wolfette, in person. This is the best day ever" Mia said. "Isn't their a villain tho? Tawny Owl's on his own."
Mia continued her fangirl excitement for a bit longer. Calming herself down she looked at the wolf-themed superhero.
"There is but I'm going to need your help."
"You need my help?" Mia asked, sounding confused.
"Yes but you have to promise that you won't tell anyone about this. Can I trust you?" Felicity/Wolfette asked.
"Of course," Mia replied.
"Mia Smith, this is the miraculous of the raven which gives the user the ability to control shadows. You will use it for the greater good. Once the job is done, you must return the miraculous to me" Felicity/Wolfette said as she gave Mia the box that had the raven miraculous in.
Mia opened the box and an orb of light came from the box.
"What is that?" Mia asked as the light died down.
"Hello Miss, my name is Quill and I'll be your Kwami," Quill said as he bowed. Quill was mostly black. He had black raven feathers on his arms and a small beak. He also had gold markings on his head.
"Cool," Mia said. "You must be the source of the miraculous powers."
"Well, your a smart one," Quill said. "I can tell that we will work well together."
"Are you ready to become a hero?" Wolfette asked.
"What do I have to do?" Mia asked.
"All you need to say is Quill, feathers appear," Quill said.
Mia took the hair clip out of the box and placed it in her hair.
"Quill, feathers appear," Mia said. Quill got pulled into the miraculous, turning it black with five gold sections.
Felicity/Wolffete looked at Mia in her new superhero outfit.
She looked different. She wore a black suit with a raven feather skirt. The neck of her suit was gold, she had gold gloves and gold boots. On her face, she had a black domino-style maks that ended with a small beak. Mia's hair had turned curly and wild. Her weapon was a black and gold mirror.
"This is so awesome," Mia said.
"Mission first. Tawny Owl's on his own," Felicity/Wolfette said as she took her whip from the side of her suit and aimed at one of the rooftops. She took Mia in one arm and soon they found themselves on the rooftops of London.
"I've always wondered what it's like up here," Mia said.
"It is amazing, I have to admit," Felicity/Wolfette said.
Tawny Owl struggled to keep the stars away from him. It was like they had minds of their own. He didn't know how much longer he could last on his own.
Felicity/Wolfette and Mia managed to locate Tawny Owl. He was trying to stop the stars from getting on him. Felicity used her whip to get rid of them and Mia used her mirror.
"Wow, this is so cool. I've got powers and I'm fighting supervillains" Mia said.
Tawny Owl looked at the new hero and smiled. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Tawny Owl. What shall I call you?"
Mia thought for a minute "I'm Corbeau."
"Well, it's going to be fun working with you, Corbeau," Tawny Owl said. "It seems that Shining Star has moved on."
"That's what we need. We have time to come up with a plan," Felicity/Wolfette said.
After coming up with a plan, the three heroes managed to find Shining Star.
"Your back. Have you decided to hand over your miraculous?" Shining Star asked. He noticed a third hero standing with them.
Firefly watched what was going on.
"Another superhero. First that Leopard person and now this one. Shining Star, another superhero is no trouble for you. Get me their Miraculous or I will take away your powers."
"The answer is still no." Felicity/Wolfette told him as she used her whip to break more stars.
While this was going on, Tawny Owl and Corbeau watched from a rooftop.
"It's time to use your power," Tawny Owl said.
"I hope it works. I've never used it before," Corbeau said.
"Trust yourself. You can do it," Tawny Owl said.
Corbeau held the mirror in front of her and said the words that allowed her to use her power. The mirror glowed. She knew what she needed to do. Using the shadows around her, she made them surround Shining Star.
Felicity/Wolfette used her 'Icy Touch' on the Large Star-shaped toy making it break. The Dark Firefly flew out.
"I free you from evil," Felicity said as she touched it with her whip. The Dark Firefly turned to dust which then vanished and any damage that Shining Star caused got fixed. Shining Star turned back into a young boy. The boy had a pair of blue and white pyjamas on. The boy looked around him, confused. His eyes landed on the heroes.
Firefly wasn't happy. He had lost again.
"Wolfette, you may have turned out the lights this time but next time it will be you standing in the shadows of defeat."
"Are you ok?" Felicity/Wolfette asked.
"My older brother made fun of me because I wouldn't go to sleep without the light on. I was scared and then this red glowing fly was in my room and then a strange man spoke in my head," The boy said.
"Firefly," Tawny Owl said.
Felicity's and Corbeau's miraculous beeped, reminding them that they didn't have long before they transformed back.
"Tawny, could you make sure the boy gets home ok?" Felicity/Wolfette asked.
"Sure" Tawny Owl replied. He then looked at Corbeau, "I'm looking forward to working with you again, Corbeau."
Corbeau's transformation dropped as soon as they landed in an alleyway. Quill hovered next to Mia's shoulder.
"That was amazing," Mia said, looking at Quill.
"You were a great help today Mia," Felicity/Wolfette said.
"I wish that I could hold on to the miraculous. I could help you again but I made a promise and I don't break promises," Mia said as she gave the miraculous back.
Felicity returned the miraculous to Mr Lu and then went home. She managed to enter the house without waking anyone up.
The following day, Felicity met Mia on the way to school.
"I can't believe that I didn't get any good footage last night for my blog. The videos I took didn't look good." Mia said.
"That's a shame. Did you get any of the new hero? I heard people talking about it this morning," Felicity asked.
"A new hero, wow. That's so cool. You have to tell me everything," Mia said as the two friends walked into school.
This chapter took a while to write. Mia getting a miraculous was something that I had in mind for a while.
I'm going to be taking a break from this fanfic for a while.
