After arriving back in the digital world, Tai and Agumon landed at the ruins of the pyramids. "Where is everybody?" asked Agumon while the sands blew through the desert.
"Great! Some welcome home." said Tai, sarcastically as the sand settles down.
"This is right where we left them. Where could they have gone?" wondered Agumon, but was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of Tai's digivice.
"Huh? Well looks like someone, or in this case, two someone's cause I'm getting a read on both of their digivices." said Tai. He then moves his digivice slightly to the left, causing the beeping to stop before moving it back to the center. He then tries moving his digivice to the right and got the same result.
"Okay, I've got a lock. North, north-west, just a couple of clicks." Tai tells Agumon and they walked off, following his digivice.
"Very impressive, Tai." said Agumon. "You really sound like you know what you're doing."
"I just watch a lot of TV." admitted Tai. After a while of walking, they ended up walking along a river without knowing it. "Just what is a click?" asked Agumon.
"I don't really know exactly, but we're getting closer." said Tai.
"I hope so, I'm hungry." said Agumon. They then looked up to see that they have come across a forest with a huge lake in front of them, causing them to gasp in shock.
"Look at this place. Where are we?" Tai asked.
"I don't know but it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen." said Agumon.
"Come on." said Tai, hurrying across the bridge and following the signal. "Both signals are getting stronger." Tai stops in his tracks and gasps at what he sees up ahead.
"Who is it? Who is it?" asked Agumon.
"It's Felicity, Wanyamon and Tokomon." said Tai, seeing his sister and her digimon sitting beside Tokomon with T.K.'s digivice and crest next to them. Tai could hear Felicity sniffle a bit before wiping her eyes.
"Tokomon! Felicity! Wanyamon!" shouted Agumon as they ran up to the trio.
"Huh?" said Wanyamon, turning around.
"Tai?" said Felicity, looking up with tears in her eyes. "Tai!" She then grabs her brother tightly around the waist.
"I missed you, Felicity." said Tai, wrapping his arms around her.
"I missed you too, Tai." said Felicity. Tai walks over to Tokomon and picks him up.
"Hey, what happened little guy? Are you alright?" he asked.
"Not exactly." said Tokomon with his eyes still closed. "You look like Tai. You are Tai! You're alive."
"Yeah, the last time I checked." said Tai.
"I'll bet a black gear digimon got you, right?" asked Agumon.
"No, if it were something as simple as that, we wouldn't feel bad." said Tokomon, hopping out of Tai's arms.
"Where is everybody? Where's T.K.?" asked Tai. Felicity and Wanyamon looked away as Tokomon answered.
"We don't know. He's probably off with his new friend." said Tokomon.
"New friend? What new friend?" asked Tai.
"I think you better ask T.K." said Tokomon.
"T.K. chose his new friend over us, Tai." said Felicity, tears forming in her eyes.
"I would but he isn't here right now, you are. Now, start at the beginning Tokomon and tell me exactly what happened." said Tai.
"Well, you and Agumon were gone an awful long time." said Tokomon.
"We were? How long?" asked Tai.
[Flashback]
"We looked high and low for you. Wanyamon and I did most of the low part." said Tokomon.
All of the digidestined were still in the desert, waiting for Tai and Agumon to return, but nothing happened. T.K., Felicity, Tokomon and Wanyamon were sitting by the fire while the others were talking. "It's no use. We're practically lost ourselves." said Matt with Gabumon by his side.
"Oh, personally I've been lost ever since I got here." said Mimi, sitting next to Palmon.
"What about Gennai?" asked Izzy, with Tentomon on his left and Gomamon on his right. "Maybe he could help us find him. For Felicity's sake, at least."
"Yeah and where do we find him Gennai?" asked Joe, standing in front of Izzy. "I think one wild goose chase is enough."
"This is the most depressing campout ever." said Mimi as a tired T.K. and Felicity started yawning. Later the moon had finally rose in the sky and everyone was asleep…well, almost everyone.
"Won't T.K. and Felicity be upset?" Biyomon asked Sora.
"Maybe, but they'll be safer here." Sora tells her, but then both Tokomon and Wanyamon start to wake up. "Shush. We're going off to find Tai on our own. Don't wake anyone."
"We'll see you later, you two." Biyomon said to the in training digimon.
"Okay." they both said, yawning before falling back asleep.
"That's how it started. First, Sora left then we all went in search of Sora." said Tokomon. "Then someone suggested that we'd covered more ground if we split up so Izzy and Tentomon went one way. Then Joe and Gomamon went off another way and pretty soon it was Matt, T.K., Felicity, Gabumon, Wanyamon and me were left."
Later, the six remaining Digidestined arrived at the lake and were now standing on a bridge, looking out over the lake. "Why did everyone go away?" asked T.K. "When you're lost, you're supposed to stay together."
"Yeah." said Felicity.
"We just had different ideas of what was the best thing to do, T.K. and Felicity." said Matt. "Besides you two, we looked everywhere. If they were anywhere near this area, we would have found them."
"We could have missed something. We've gotta keep searching." said T.K.
"Please Matt." begged Felicity.
"Come on, Matt. If we hurry, we could still catch up to him…" said T.K. but was interrupted by Matt.
"Hey, its hopeless, alright? We've already done everything we could!" shouted Matt, but his shouting caused both T.K. and Felicity to cry. "Aw, come on you two. Don't cry. I didn't mean it. Don't worry, wherever Tai and Agumon are, I'm sure they're perfectly alright."
"Really, Matt?" T.K. asked hopefully as Felicity gave Matt a suspicious look. "Any minute now, they'll be coming back, right?"
"And they'll bring a bunch of presents with them." joked Matt.
"If they're going to bring a bunch of presents, I hope that my present is Kari." said Felicity.
"Oh wow! You think so?" asked Tokomon and Wanyamon.
"I hope you're right, I sure miss my friends and can't wait to meet Kari." said T.K.
"Wanyamon and I knew Matt was kidding them about the presents but that didn't matter cause just then…" said Tokomon.
The six of them walked on to find an amusement park in the forest. "Look Matt, Felicity. Is this real?" asked T.K. "Everybody's gonna love this."
"I sure hope they do." said Felicity.
"But Matt didn't seem to be excited. It was like there was something on his mind that he couldn't stop thinking about." Tokomon explained.
The six walked into the park to have a look around. "Look at this! No lines!" T.K. exclaimed. "Uh, actually there are no people here at all. Maybe they forgot to tell us that they're closed."
"I wonder why though." said Felicity.
"Yeah." said Tokomon.
"Good point." said Wanyamon. A while later, Matt makes a decision to leave T.K., Felicity, Tokomon and Wanyamon at the park and go off with Gabumon.
"So, T.K. are you sure that you and Felicity will be alright?" asked Matt.
"We'll be fine." said T.K. "Don't worry about us."
"That's my big little bro." he said, placing a hand on T.K's head. Matt then turns to Felicity. "Promise me that you'll watch out for T.K., okay?" he asked.
"I promise, Matt." said Felicity.
"But you'll be back pretty soon, right?" asked T.K.
"Right. I'm just gonna look around a little. Really check this place out and hopefully find the others." Matt tells them. "I'll be back in maybe a couple of hours at the most."
"Tokomon, you and Wanyamon are responsible for looking after them, okay." said Gabumon.
"Sure." said Tokomon and Wanyamon, and the four of them watched Matt and Gabumon pedal away on a swan-like paddle boat.
"Don't worry!" T.K. shouted after his brother. "We'll be waiting right here!"
"Great and remember, it's an amusement park so like amuse yourself. See ya soon!" shouted Matt.
"Okay, bye!" yelled T.K. and Felicity. Later that day, the sun was about to set and both the in training digimon had gathered some fruit for all four of them to eat.
"Hours went by and still no Matt." said Tokomon.
"He'll come back, T.K." said Tokomon.
"Yeah, he's gotta come back." Felicity said in agreement.
"We just have to be patient." said Wanyamon.
"I wonder what's keeping them." said T.K.
"You've gotta eat something." said Tokomon.
"They should've come back by now." said T.K. The sun had finally set and the moon was out overhead. T.K. and Felicity found a bench to rest on.
"We waited at the park for almost a week. T.K. spent the whole time staring out at the water, except when he just couldn't stay awake anymore." said Tokomon.
"Felicity and I were starting to get worried about him." said Wanyamon.
Tokomon pulled a huge leaf over T.K. as Wanyamon does the same for Felicity.
"We waited and waited." said Tokomon.
"He's coming. Any minute now, I'll see his boat out there." said T.K. but then starts crying. Just then, Tokomon walks up with Felicity and Wanyamon with berries.
"Don't cry again." said Tokomon, setting down the berries he brought with him.
"It's going to be okay, T.K." Felicity tells him, giving her friend a hug. "I know it is."
"He's gone! I just know it! He's gone away like all the others! He said he'd be back in a couple of hours." cried T.K. as he turns to face the others and drops to his knees.
"No, don't give up hope." said Tokomon. T.K. doesn't listen and continues to cry. Tears start welling up in Felicity's eyes and soon enough, she starts crying along with him.
"Felicity." said Wanyamon, looking up at her partner. Just then, a mini bat like Digimon flies towards them.
"Hey, what's with all the squawking about? DemiDevimon's the name. Mind if I drop in?" asked DemiDevimon.
"DemiDevimon? Wanyamon and I heard about you!" Tokomon exclaimed.
"Oh, great. I'm flattered." said DemiDevimon.
"Don't be. Nothing I've heard was good." said Tokomon as Wanyamon's tail flickers in disgust.
"Okay, okay, I used to be a bit of a wise guy but that's only because I was working for Etemon." said DemiDevimon. "But now he's kaput thanks to you guys. Something for which I'm eternally grateful. Personally, I never liked the guy."
"Have you seen my brother out there? He's in a boat." asked T.K.
"Oh is that's what's got you down, squirt?" DemiDevimon asked him. "Well, you've come to the right digimon. What's his name, your brother?"
"His name is Matt." said T.K.
"Got it. Let me see what I can do. Be back in a flash." said DemiDevimon and takes off.
"Maybe he has changed." said Tokomon.
"You think?" asked T.K.
"You don't know until it happens, right?" asked Felicity.
"I think so." said Wanyamon.
"I couldn't believe that one of Etemon's creepy henchmen was being helpful but sure enough, just a few minutes later." said Tokomon.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." said DemiDevimon, flying back over to them.
"What about it? Did you find my brother? Did you find him?" T.K. asked excitedly.
"Sure I did." said DemiDevimon.
"Is he on his way back?" asked T.K.
"Well, that's the bad news, kid." said DemiDevimon.
"What?" asked T.K., confused.
"It kills me to have to break it to the both of you but your brother isn't coming back. In fact, he says he never wants to see you and the girl again. Said he was tired of babysitting a couple of crybabies." DemiDevimon tells him.
"No way." said T.K., as he starts to tear up again.
"That's not true!" shouted Felicity, stamping her foot at the flying digimon.
"Yes it is, you little brat!" said DemiDevimon.
"No way." said T.K.
"It can't be true, T.K." Tokomon tells him.
"Matt would never say that." said Wanyamon and Felicity.
"But he called me…." T.K. begins saying.
"Crybaby. Yeah, that's what he said. He called you some other stuff too, but I don't wanna repeat it. Anyway, he's gone." said DemiDevimon, causing T.K. to loudly burst out into tears and runs off. "Aw, don't take it so hard. Sorry." DemiDevimon turns away, smirking evilly as he said that.
"How could you!" screamed Felicity, running after T.K. with Wanyamon. Later that day, the sun had started to set again. T.K. and the others were sitting by the lake as T.K. tosses a rock into the water.
"Come on. Matt would never say stuff like that. Besides, we've been working on the crying thing and you been getting better. You really are. Don't believe that guy." said Tokomon, trying to cheer up T.K.
"Tokomon is right. You know Matt better than we do, T.K." said Wanyamon as Felicity nodded. A few seconds later, the three of them went off.
"Hey floppy, furball and little brat." DemiDevimon called out as he lands on the ground.
"We know what you're up to." said Wanyamon.
"You have been lying to T.K." said Tokomon.
"Lies? Whatever could you mean by that?" asked DemiDevimon, innocently.
"You know what we mean, DemiDevimon." said Felicity.
"Yeah! You take back all those lies or you'll be sorry!" yelled Tokomon.
"My, my, those are pretty bold words coming from a pink pig with an overbite, a little scar face hairball and a whiner. Besides, you have any proof that I'm lying about it, huh?" he asked as DemiDevimon flies over to a tree branch.
"Um no." said Tokomon, Wanyamon and Felicity.
"There you go. You're just assuming the worse because of my background. That's not fair, its prejudice that's what it is. Just because I'm not a cuddle butterball like the two of you, then you think I must be a bad guy. That's so, oh, I don't know, superficial. Luckily, T.K.'s more enlightened." said DemiDevimon, causing Tokomon to fire a Bubble blow at him, knocking DemiDevimon off the tree branch.
"Tokomon, what are you doing?" asked T.K., seeing what his digimon did to DemiDevimon.
"What T.K.?" asked Tokomon.
"I saw you take a shot at him." said T.K., angrily, then looks at Felicity and Wanyamon. "Why didn't you guys stop him?"
"DemiDevimon is nothing more than a lying bowling ball with wings." said Felicity, crossing her arms.
"He's nothing more than a meanie." said Wanyamon.
"Don't be so hard on them, T.K. I understand what the poor group is feeling." said DemiDevimon. "It's only natural they should be a little resentful that you found yourself a new friend."
"Yeah right." said Felicity and Wanyamon.
"Hmph." said Tokomon.
"I don't know what's gotten into the three of you but I think an apology is in order." said T.K.
"Well, don't hold your breath." said Tokomon and Wanyamon.
"Do it!" ordered T.K.
"I will not." said Tokomon. "If you like that flying rat so much, maybe we ought to leave."
"Yeah." said Felicity and Wanyamon.
"If you guys wont apologize, then you have to leave." said T.K.
"You really mean it?" asked Tokomon.
"Yeah, sure! Go on!" said T.K. as Tokomon walks away.
"Fine, T.K.! I hope that you and your new friend have fun!" Felicity shouted, picking up Wanyamon as Tokomon stops not far from T.K.
"Wanyamon, Felicity and I won't be coming back, you know." Tokomon said over his shoulder, looking right at T.K.
"You don't see me crying about it and I don't want these stupid gadgets either!" shouted T.K., throwing his digivice and crest to the ground. "Come on, DemiDevimon. Let's go ride the rollercoaster." He then takes off towards the amusement park without Felicity, Tokomon and Wanyamon.
"That's suits us just fine! Good bye!" Tokomon shouted after him, then falls to the ground crying at the loss of his friend and partner. Felicity and Wanyamon hugged Tokomon.
[Flashback ends]
"You see, Tai, we go away for a couple of days and everything falls apart." said Agumon.
"Hm…first, let's find out what T.K.'s up to and then we'll look for Matt and the others." suggested Tai.
"I like that idea, Tai." said Felicity.
"Take us to him, you guys." said Tai.
"You got it." said Tokomon, as he and the girls lead Tai and Agumon to the amusement park.
"Where did you go, Agumon?" asked Wanyamon.
"Somehow, we ended up on earth." Agumon replied.
"You got to see Kari?" asked Felicity, looking up at her brother. "How is she feeling?"
"Better when I saw her." said Tai, giving her a smile. Once they reached the amusement park, Tai starts to see the Ferris wheel.
"That's the place?" he asked them.
"Yeah. T.K.'s in there somewhere with that flying phony." said Tokomon.
Meanwhile two Gazimon were running through another part of the forest. "We'll make those kids pay for what they did to Lord Etemon." said Gazimon 1, wearing a pair of cool sunglasses.
"Wait, those punk kids are not the pushovers they look like." said Gazimon 2.
"Right, what do we get out of it except a headache?" asked Gazimon 1.
"Let's face it, Etemon's washed up." said Gazimon 2. "Why waste ourselves out for that creep?"
"Good question, I never liked working for him anyway. I say we take a lunch break." said Gazimon 1.
"So, where do we get some grub around here?" asked Gazimon 2.
"Well…uh, if you like mushrooms, I know just the place." said Gazimon 1, spotting some mushrooms nearby and both Gazimon starts taking a bite out of them. Back at the amusement park, DemiDevimon and T.K. were got on the Ferris Wheel.
"Woo-we, aint this a gas? We're having some fun now, huh?" DemiDevimon asked T.K., who doesn't seem to be excited. "(Laughing) Hey, T.K. I bet I can spit farther than you!"
"Tokomon and Wanyamon are awful small to be out on their own and I'm scared for Felicity." said T.K., sadly. "I hope they're ok."
"Forget about him and those two, will ya? Come on, let's try the highway." suggested DemiDevimon.
"Alright." said T.K., half-heartedly and a moment later, they were on a go cart track, driving a go kart.
"Okay T.K., really rev this baby up. Put the pedal to the medal and feel the freedom of the open road." said DemiDevimon, standing next to T.K. who was driving. "This is so much fun, it ought to be illegal!"
Later that day, both T.K. and DemiDevimon were on a train-like amusement ride. "Okay, you've gotta scream at the top of your lungs, ready?" he asked T.K., but as the train goes down the slope, the only one who screamed was DemiDevimon. "This kid's starting to be a real drag." DemiDevimon thought to himself. "I should have brought the other kid too."
"You're still not thinking about Tokomon, Felicity and Wanyamon, are you?" asked DemiDevimon. "They're the ones who made the decision and walked out on you. Not much of a friend if you ask me."
"I know but I can't help wondering if the three of them are ok." replied T.K.
"This is going to be harder than I thought." DemiDevimon thought to himself. "Hey, I just remembered there's something I've gotta take care of. I'll be right back."
"You're leaving me too?" asked T.K., looking up at DemiDevimon.
"Just for a minute, trust me. You just stay here and have fun." said DemiDevimon and flies off from T.K., not noticing that Tai, Felicity, Agumon, Wanyamon and Tokomon were on the other side of the Ferris wheel. As they were running to find T.K., both Tai's and Felicity's digivices went off.
"Huh? Why's it going off?" asked Tai.
"I didn't know our digivices could do that." said Felicity.
"Could be trouble. That's what it usually means." said Agumon.
"And where there's trouble, its DemiDevimon." said Wanyamon.
"Never mind that now." said Tai, seeing T.K. up ahead asleep at an umbrella tree. "Look who I found. T.K.!"
"Yoo-hoo!" Agumon shouted, causing T.K. to wake up to the sounds of his voice.
"T.K.! Hey!" shouted Tai, running up to him.
"It's my friend." said T.K. seeing Tai and Agumon.
"Hey little guy." Tai said to him.
"You're back." said T.K.
"Yeah and are we glad to see you." said Tai as T.K. runs up to him.
"I'm so happy! Ah, Tai I was so worried. You were gone so long." said T.K. as he hugged Tai. "We thought something bad must have happened."
"Well, I'm back again and I'm all in one piece." said Tai as Tokomon hops off of Agumon's head.
"Tokomon, Felicity, Wanyamon, you guys came back too!" exclaimed T.K. "So, you guys finally admit that you were wrong and you're going to apologize to him now?"
"We weren't wrong and I won't apologize." said Tokomon.
"I wouldn't apologize if I was hit in the head with a soccer ball." said Felicity.
"I won't apologize to that flying ball." said Wanyamon.
"You guys, what's happened to you? When'd you get to be such brats?" asked T.K.
"Okay, you four chill out." said Tai. "Knock off this bickering because we've got too many big problems to worry about right now. We've gotta try to find Matt and all the others."
"Not me." said T.K., confusing Tai. "Why should I? They're not nice. They left me and Felicity behind. First Sora, then the rest and then my own brother, Matt."
"Come on, T.K., it's not your fault or Felicity's that they left." said Tai.
"They hate the both of us. They think that we're both crybabies! Even Matt said that I am!" said T.K., about to cry.
"Wow man, I don't know what this new friend of yours has been telling you, but I know for a fact that Matt doesn't hate you." Tai tells him.
"Well, you might not be saying such nice things about him if you knew that Felicity and I wanted to keep searching for you but he didn't. It's true, he's really jealous of you Tai." said T.K., crying as he hugs Tai. "Haven't you ever noticed he gets upset when you, me and Felicity do stuff together and he hates it when I talk about you. Do you think I could be your little brother instead? Please?"
"I don't think it works that way." said Tai.
"Why not?" asked T.K.
"It just doesn't. That's all." said Tai.
"You don't like me either." said T.K.
Meanwhile, DemiDevimon finds both Gazimon in the forest with mushrooms growing out of their bodies. "Hey! What would Etemon say if he saw you two lounging around like that?" asked DemiDevimon, glaring at the Gazimon.
"Who?" asked Gazimon 1.
"Ete-what?" asked Gazimon 2.
"Who's that?" asked Gazimon 1.
"No idea." replied Gazimon 2.
"Uh, who are you, come to think of it." said Gazimon 1, looking at his 'friend'.
"Who am I?" he asked. "Guess I forgot."
"What do ya know? The famous mushrooms of forgetfulness." said DemiDevimon. "I've always wondered if these things really work and judging from the two of you clowns, they obviously do. Feed the kid a few of these and he'll forget all about that Tokomon and his other friends."
Meanwhile at the amusement park. "So, I'll be your big brother while Felicity will be a sister, but just temporarily." Tai said to T.K. "Just until we find Matt, okay."
"I don't think you're a crybaby." said Felicity.
"You don't?" asked T.K. as she shook her head.
"Nope. You're just someone who misses home and his big brother." said Felicity.
"Okay." said T.K., when he then hears the flapping of wings and sees DemiDevimon carrying a basket of mushrooms. "Look, its DemiDevimon."
"That's him?" asked Tai, staring at the digimon. "Not the most trustworthy looking guy I've ever seen."
"We don't like the guy." said Felicity and Wanyamon as DemiDevimon sets the basket down on the ground and lands next to it.
"Welcome back, you three. How ya been?" asked DemiDevimon.
"Okay, what did Matt really say to you?" Agumon asked angrily.
"Cool it, buddy. Just who are you anyway?" DemiDevimon asked him.
"We're T.K.'s real friends and I'm Felicity's brother." said Tai.
"Start talking and it better be the truth this time." said Agumon.
"It happened just like I told T.K. and Felicity. Matt said he was tired of them and didn't want to hang out with them anymore." said DemiDevimon. "I told Matt that brothers should really ought to stick together, but he didn't want to listen to me. It's the truth, cross my heart."
"If you've got one." argued Agumon.
"Which I don't think he has one." said Wanyamon.
"If he has one, then where in his body is it?" asked Felicity.
"Hey, why would I lie?" questioned DemiDevimon.
"Then you wouldn't mind taking us to Matt so we can ask him ourselves." said Tai.
"Not at all, but I gotta warn ya, he's far away." said DemiDevimon.
"Let's get started then." said Tai.
"Fine we'll go, but it's been a long day, wouldn't you like something to eat first?" DemiDevimon asked.
"I am hungry." said Tai and Agumon.
"Me too." added T.K. and Felicity.
"Well in that case…." said Tai.
"I picked these myself. They're fresh and juicy." said DemiDevimon as Tokomon and Wanyamon sniff the basket full of mushrooms. Agumon was about to grab a mushroom when Tai stops him.
"Hey, don't eat them raw. Let's do this right!" said Tai and a minute later, he fries up a couple of big ones. "Viola! La mushroom da la barbeque. They'll be ready in just a minute."
Felicity giggles at Tai's funny French accent. "Upsidaisy." said Agumon. "Gotta use the little Digimon's room."
"I'll go with you, Agumon." said Wanyamon and they both ran off.
"Don't forget to wash your hands or claws or whatever they are." Tai jokingly called after them. As Agumon and Wanyamon were about to head into the restroom, Agumon spots a few more mushrooms.
"What do you know? More mushrooms." said Agumon as he and Wanyamon run inside.
"Okay, T.K., you're first." said Tai, handing him one of the fried mushrooms and not seeing DemiDevimon snickering behind him. "Tell me if it's too hot."
"Want one?" T.K. asked Tokomon.
"I wouldn't touch it." said Tokomon with his nose in the air. T.K. was about to take a bite when Tai grabs it back.
"Tai!" cried Felicity.
"Hold on, this one didn't get cooked on one side." he tells her, causing DemiDevimon to drop head first to the ground.
"No offense to Tai, but I prefer mine raw." said Agumon as Wanyamon helps him grab a few more mushrooms.
"Don't eat it!" said a familiar voice behind them, causing both Digimon to turn around but doesn't see anyone. "They're the mushrooms of forgetfulness. They'll make your memories disappear."
"Who's there?" Agumon asked. "I know that voice, its Sora. If what she said about the mushrooms is true, then that means…..Ah!"
"Uh-oh." said Wanyamon, dropping the mushrooms from her tail.
"Don't eat the mushrooms!" Agumon and Wanyamon shouted as they ran back to the others, but both didn't see Sora and Biyomon in the trees behind them.
"Yay finally." said T.K. as he tries to take a bite but quickly retracts.
"It's probably still hot, huh? Just blow on it." said Tai and blows on T.K's mushroom a little. "There, now give it a try."
"Smells yummy." said T.K., about to take a bite when Agumon and Wanyamon came running up.
"No! Drop it! Put it down! Stop!" Agumon and Wanyamon yelled frantically. "Don't eat that mushroom!"
"It's alright, Agumon. There's plenty of mushrooms to go around." Tai said to Agumon.
"No! Don't eat any of them! They're poison! Evil! Bad stuff!" said Agumon, yanking the mushroom from T.K's mouth while Wanyamon knocks one from Felicity's hand.
"Hey!" shouted an angry DemiDevimon.
"Wait." said Tai after Agumon takes his.
"You don't see him eating them! Try one! Come on, open up!" shouted Agumon and throws a mushroom at DemiDevimon, hitting him in the face.
"Good aim, Agumon." said Felicity.
"He won't eat them. He was trying to slip us some kind of mushroom that makes you forget things! You're bad!" Agumon yelled.
"I knew there was something that I didn't like about you!" shouted Felicity, pointing at DemiDevimon.
"Is that true?" asked T.K., heatedly. "Were you trying to poison us?"
"Don't be silly." said DemiDevimon, nervously.
"You're lying just like you lied about Matt." said an angry Tokomon.
"It was a lie, wasn't it?" Agumon asked, grabbing DemiDevimon by the wings before he gets away.
"Yeah." said DemiDevimon, quietly that they heard him.
"You flying rat!" shouted T.K. and turns to Tokomon. "Tokomon, I'm sorry. Can you ever forgive me?"
"If you promise we'll always be friends." said Tokomon, jumping into his friend's arms.
"Of course!" said T.K. happily.
"Good work! Least's that's one problem solved." said Tai, taking out T.K.'s crest and digivice. "I thought you might want this back."
"You betcha." said T.K. and his crest begins to glow yellow again.
"Check it out! T.K.'s crest is glowing again." said Tai.
"Who gave you the idea that crest was yours?" growled DemiDevimon, breaking free from Agumon. "Hand it over you little squirt."
"Hey! Stay away from T.K.!" shouted Felicity as her crest begins to glow crimson as well.
"I'm gonna teach this mon a lesson." said Tokomon.
"I'll help you." said Wanyamon.
"Go after him." said T.K. and Felicity, backing up their digimon.
"Tokomon digivolve to….Patamon!" Patamon then flies up towards DemiDevimon.
"Wanyamon digivolve to….Gaomon!" Gaomon quickly runs after them.
"Way to go, Patamon and Gaomon! Take him down." cheered Tai, but DemiDevimon pushes Patamon into the tea cup ride.
"Pepper Breath!" shouted Agumon, firing a fireball at him, knocking DemiDevimon into the tea cup with Patamon.
"Come here you!" said DemiDevimon, taking Patamon by his ears.
"Patamon!" shouted T.K.
"Try the roller coaster! It's a gas, especially without a seatbelt!" shouted DemiDevimon, dropping Patamon. Thankfully, Patamon landed on his feet on the tracks. Just then, DemiDevimon comes up behind him and headbutts him in the gut, then grabs him by his feet, pulling him back into the air.
"You know, you really should consider yourself renting yourself out as a football." said DemiDevimon.
"Hang in there, Patamon. We're on our way." T.K. called out to his digimon.
"Don't worry, T.K." said Gaomon, running ahead of them. "I'll get Patamon."
"Thanks, Gaomon." said T.K.
DemiDevimon then drops Patamon on the Ferris Wheel. "Stay there! Wait for us!" T.K. cried out. When Patamon didn't hear him, he continued to fight DemiDevimon. "Patamon, what are you doing?" He shouted.
"Let him do what he's gotta do." said Tai. "I have a feeling he's going to be alright, even with Gaomon's help."
"Let's double team him, Patamon!" said Gaomon, causing Patamon to nod.
Patamon heads towards DemiDevimon, knocking him down towards the roller coaster as Gaomon jumps onto the track.
"Boom Bubble! Pop!" shouted Patamon, blasting DemiDevimon all the way down. "Boom Bubble! Pop!" Patamon sends DemiDevimon flying towards Gaomon in one of the cars.
"Gao Rush!" shouted Gaomon, punching rapidly into DemiDevimon, jumping into the car.
"Boom Bubble! Pop! Boom Bubble! Pop!" Patamon shouted again, sending DemiDevimon flying past Gaomon and into the lake.
"Good aim, Patamon." said Gaomon, watching him land in the water.
"Thanks." replied Patamon.
"You the mon!" shouted Tai and Agumon.
"You and Gaomon were awesome, Patamon." said T.K. "Now I feel even worse about the way I treated the three of you."
"We promise we'd always be friends and the first rule of friendship is forgive and forget." Patamon said to T.K. "Let's forget it ever happened, okay."
"Okay. I'll pretend I had a bite of that funny mushroom." said T.K.
"Me too." said Patamon, jumping into T.K.'s arms.
"Awe, that's kinda cool, isn't it?" asked Tai.
"Yeah." Agumon, Felicity and Gaomon said, agreeing with him.
"I'm glad you're back, Tai." said Felicity. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too. I'm glad to be back." he said, bringing her in for a hug. "And it wouldn't have happened hadn't been for you, Agumon. By the way, how did you and Gaomon find out about those mushrooms anyway?"
"Ah…" said Agumon and shares a look with Gaomon. "A voice in my head."
"You're kidding." said Tai.
"No." said Agumon.
"I do know that it sounded familiar though." said Gaomon. Later that day, the sun was about to set when DemiDevimon pulled himself out of the lake, away from the three Digidestined.
"I was close, so close." DemiDevimon gripped as the sky turns red around him. "Uh-oh! Now I'm in for it!" As bats appeared, they created a silhouette of a humanoid digimon. "Forgive me oh terrible one. The crest of Hope and the crest of Faith have regained their lights. I failed but I'll make it up to you, I'll work overtime and on Sundays." he said, bowing to the creature.
Back on the other side of the lake, Tai, Felicity, T.K., Agumon, Gaomon and Patamon were now standing at the shore line watching the sun set. "Okay, listen up. Izzy was totally right when he said that all the weird stuff going on in the Digi-world somehow affects our world." Tai said to the younger kids. "I don't know how we're going to do it yet, but it seems to me we've gotta fix things here in this world before we could return to our own. But if we're going to do that, we've gotta all work together as a team. Every one of us is important."
"Are we important too?" T.K. and Felicity asked.
"Of course you are, you guys, you're a part of this team. Now let's go find the others." said Tai. "I guess we learned that it doesn't take a mushroom of forgetfulness to make us sometimes forget who our real friends are."
"That's true, Tai." said Felicity.
"Yeah, sorry Patamon." said T.K.
"It's forgotten, remember?" Patamon asks.
"That's right, I forgot." T.K. said, laughing.
