Chapter 5
The next morning Marinette was up and dressed before her alarm went off. She took a quick glance in the mirror and smiled. She wore a blue kitty section t-shirt. The one she may or may not have stolen from Luka before she left. She smiled as she headed down the stairs. Her parents looked up in shock.
"You are up early"
"Luka is picking me up so I set a few extra alarms" Marinette smiled, "is Jordan up yet"
"I haven't seen him,"
"Okay I will run up and make sure he is getting ready"
"No need here I am" he smirked, "are you excited for your ride today? I have never once seen you up on time"
"I am actually quite excited" Marinette blushed, "however who normally has to drag who out of bed?"
"Okay fair point" he shrugged
"Wait who is giving you a ride" Tom asked
"Luka" Marinette smiled
"A BOY" Tom exclaimed
"Yes daddy, a boy. One I happen to like very much" Marinette said
"What about Adrien? He is a boy and younger and way more innocent," Tom babbled. Marinette burst into laughter.
"Dad, you like Luka, remember. And trust me Adrien is in no way shape or form innocent" Marinette said. "Anyway I better grab my bag he should be here soon"
"So Jordan my wife tells me that you were giving quite the show last night" Tom said
"If it helps any I kinda forgot I didn't have pants on" Jordan shrugged, "it was totally not on purpose"
"Jordan you were in nothing but a towel," Sabine said, "how could you forget you were not wearing clothes?"
"Ummm," Jordan froze
"Bye" Marinette called as Luka knocked. She opened the door and quickly hugged him. He smiled and led her to the bike. He handed her a helmet and climbed on and she climbed on behind him. He started it up and she wrapped her arms around him. He grinned as they took off for the school. She kept her arms wrapped around him the entire way. As soon as he slowed to a stop in the parking lot she pouted. He smirked when she didn't immediately let go.
"Hey Marinette you have to let go"
"But I don't want to" she pouted
"Geeze woman you are going to be the death of me. Come on, up you go, time for class"
Marinette let out a huff before letting him go. However the smile and faint blush really made him wish she didn't. He took the helmet from her hands and set it on the bike.
"Are you busy tonight?"
"Unfortunately" Marinette pouted
"How about a ride home then?"
"I can't. I have a meeting with the counselor until 4. Then a car will be waiting to take me to a meeting"
"How about tomorrow?"
"Aside from school I am free as can be until 7"
"Why 7?" He was intrigued because he was meeting with Master Fu and the others at seven.
"Family meeting" she pouted, "dad wants an explanation for last night. And I got out of it tonight because of my meetings"
"That sucks" he said,"however that does mean you are mine...I mean we can hang out until you have to go"
"I do like the sound of that" she grinned as they walked into the school, totally oblivious to his friends waiting outside.
"That was not nice dude not nice at all" Ace said smacking Luka from behind, " and who is this gorgeous girl wearing your shirt"
"My shirt?" Luka said in confusion until he looked at Marinette. He smirked as he realized that was indeed wearing the shirt she had made for him. "Huh I'll be damned you are wearing my missing shirt"
"Yep," she grinned playfully at him, "you want to take it back"
"Maybe I should" he winked, " but first I would like to say you look damn good in my colors and how the hell did you end up with it. I looked for it forever"
"You left it at my place a few weeks before I left. Remember that freak storm we got caught in while we were at the beach" Marinette blushed
"Yes," Luka said confused before he realized "I asked you to shove it in your bag and bring it back later"
"Except I got grounded and then all the shit at school happened and I was sent to New York"
"Then?"
"I found it when I unpacked" Marinette smiled, "it was a good reminder of you while I was gone"
"Well I must say you look damn good in my shirt and it is freaking hot as hell when you cuss" Luka smirked. Marinette blushed and lightly hit his chest. Ace studied the girl. She was short, had obviously known Luka for a while, her hair was pulled back into an elegant bun with teal strands...Ace's eyes went wind when he realized who was in front of him. Ace groaned at the lack of attention and grabbed Marinette around the waist. She yelped as he flung her over his shoulder and dashed down the hall.
"Ace you better put me down" she laughed,
"Or what?" He teased
"Or I will tell Liza about your crush"
"She already knows we have been dating almost a year now" he smirked
"Oh my god no way" Marinette squealed
"Ace honey is there a reason you are carrying another woman around like a sack of potatoes"
"Liza babe I can totally explain" he said dropping Marinette on her butt. Marinette yelped at the sudden impact. Luka dashed over to help her up trying not to laugh. At that moment Jordan came barrelling in. He looked at the scene before him.
"Ro if you laugh the next time I see Chloe I will tell her about the stuffed bee" Marinette threatened. He put his hands up in surrender.
"I am waiting Ace" Liza said
"Well you see babe," he started, "Marinette is totally wearing his shirt"
"And?" she said tapping her foot
"Well I pointed it out and then they ignored me so I had to steal Mari away" he babbled. Liza took one look at him and burst out laughing. He looked at her confused and then shrugged. Luka shook his head trying not to laugh.
"So who is he?" Liza asked pointing at Jordan
"Liza, meet Jordan. Ro meet Liza and Ace" Marinette said, " Jordan is a friend from the states"
"So you are wearing Luka's shirt huh?" Liza teased,
"His hair color too" Jordan piped in
"So?"
"So what"
"Does this mean you are both done being stupid?"
"You are spending way to much time with Juleka" Luka muttered
"I like her," Jordan grinned as the bell rang. Marinette and Luka headed down the hall not waiting for the others. Marinette quickly checked her schedule and walked into her first class. She stepped up to the teachers desk to introduce herself and find out where to sit. Luka smirked as he snuck in behind her and took his seat. Ace and Liza did the same. When the second bell rang Marinette was finishing up with the teacher.
"Good morning class, allow me to introduce one of our new students. Everyone, this is Marinette." Marinette smiled and waved, "okay Marinette if you would take a seat next to Luka I hear you already know each other"
"Of course thank you" Marinette smiled as she walked up to Luka. She sat next to him and pulled out the textbook and her notebook. The teacher smiled and began the lesson. After class she quickly packed her stuff up and checked her schedule to confirm her next class. She heard some girls whispering but shrugged it off and with a wave to Luka headed to her next class. She once again stopped at the desk to introduce herself. The teacher looked at her in surprise.
"Marinette?"
"Miss Bustier?" Marinette grinned, "what are you doing here?"
"Oh my I switched after what happened I couldn't condone that behavior," she smiled, "but what are you doing here dear?"
"I just started today," Marinette smiled, "I have been traveling. So we hired a private tutor for me and the group I was traveling with. It was a great experience. I finished the high school requirements so we just continued on hence my starting here as a 2rd year instead of final year of high school"
"That's great Marinette," she smiled, "so were you able to keep in touch with your friends here,"
"Most of them," Marinette smiled, "I had to replace my phone after I left so I ended up getting a different phone and phone number but the friends who stopped into the bakery or emailed me got the new one. Actually Chloe was one of the first ones to get my number. We have gotten pretty close. I never heard from some people though,"
"Maybe it is for the best,"
"Maybe," Marinette smiled as the bell rang. Miss Bustier introduced her to the class and told her where to sit. Marinette took her seat and class began. The next class followed the same pattern. Finally it was lunch time. Liza saw Marinette walking out of her last class and waited for her. They grabbed their bags and headed outside.
"Is Jordan joining us?" Luka asked,
"Nope he doing a class during this break and leaving early" Marinette said
"Lucky bugger"
"So what meetings do you have after school today?" Luka asked
"I have a meeting with Gabriel Agreste then a client dinner at 6" Marinette said
"A client dinner?" Liza asked
"Ro and I have our own business we are working on setting a new store up here"
"Really where do you have stores now?"
"California, New York, Milan, Cairo, Tokyo, and Greece" Marinette said
"That's a lot of stores," Ace said, "what is it called?"
"JAM Fashion"
"NO FREAKING WAY" Liza shouted
"Sheesh don't shout the whole country doesn't need to know" Luka laughed
"Okay why JAM?" Ace asked
"Jordan, Angela, Marinette" Marinette smiled, "it is our first letter our names in order oldest to youngest"
"That is so cool" Liza smiled, "you will have to let me help sometime,"
"Absolutely," Marinette smiled, "I always need help"
"Consider me your favorite makeup artist" Liza grinned
"Done" Marinette smiled, "we can talk details once we are up and running"
"Your serious" Liza squealed, "omg your serious"
"Yes she is now quit hogging her," Luka laughed as he pulled Marinette closer
"Down boy" Ace teased, "So Mari I have a very serious question for you"
"Uh huh" Marinette smirked
"Did you purposely choose to dye your hair to match Luka's"
"Yes" Marinette shrugged as her phone went off, "shoot I have to take this be right back"
Luka watched her walk away in shock...complete and utter shock.
"Dude are you there" Ace laughed as he shoved Luka. Luka shook his head.
"I think I died," Luka said, "because there is no way on earth she just said that"
"Dude," Ace laughed
"Luka you may want to wipe that drool off before she comes back" Liza teased
"Guys tell me I am not dreaming and that Marinette is into me" Luka said
"Oh she is totally into you" Ace said
"Pretty sure that was obvious already" Liza added
"So what are you gonna do about it?" Ace asked. Before Luka could answer Marinette came back and sat next to him. She shot him a smile.
